Closed early and didn't inform customer of that when spoke on the phone. Had to call a different store to get a note place that I turned it because they were closed next day and tried to charge me more than what I lady paid.

If you had a service or an app that would help your customers accurately estimate their needs it might save someone a potential hassle. My move was odd because I had a small trailer and two kayaks to load IN the truck. It all worked out, but some stuff shifted in transit and got messed up a bit.

Charles WhiteThe truck was OK. the furniture cart and furniture pads ordered were not there. This location doesn't open until 10, its a satellite pick up location so they wouldn't have had the equipment either. The 24/7 pick up process is ridiculous. It literally took an hour on the phone with U-haul before I could unlock the key box to get the truck. Absolute WORST moving experience.

SEAN MOLITORFirst of all! The people at the location are the only reason I'm not leaving one star on every single column! Two different locations without the right equipment as booked The New Smyrna store I started with only booked me for 24 hours when I was needing it for a 48 hour rental. Then when they told me the truck had to be back early from my first arrangement booked, I told them that would not work with my timeframe. So I called u-haul directly & they sent me to another location. (sounded more like a sales person, then customer service) when I got to this location they informed me that they didn't even have the equipment that the representative booked, sending me to another city. I was physically panicking ,and the people at the location we're awesome! Very helpful and assisted me with a different size truck that they did have available. However U-Haul did not keep their promise as they said in the "recorded call"….. I ordered a 26 foot truck so that I could move everything at one time. I was stuck with a 17 foot truck having to take multiple trips and have it an extra 12 hours, that i'm sure they will be charging ME for. Not really sure if I will be using or referring U-Haul in the future.

Got charged for 3 gallons of gas after return, even though I only went 12 miles & I put 3 gallons in right before I returned it. It was refunded by U-Haul after online chat, but it took valuable time out of my day.

WILLIAM SKIFFINGTONMust inspect truck before giving it to a customer!!! Not only did the truck shut down on me before I loaded it!! But it also had the check engine light on the way to my destination!! The truck was NOT safe, kept on making a noise that sounded like there was something wrong with the belt. If you have a contract with uhaul make it a point to inspect every vehicle big safety concern. Worse uhaul experience I have ever had!!

WAYNE MAGDALENARoutine maintenance of trailers which isn't the pick up locations fault, ratchets on auto mover trailer needed to be lubricated to be able to function but worked on the trip. Trailer also had mud/clay all around it

Johnathan YoungWhen I picked up the truck there were crumbs in the drink holders and on the floor as well as a cigarette lighter. The vehicle was obviously NOT cleaned from the previous rental & with COVID I was very concerned. I was promised compensation which I did not receive. Very displeased!
FRANCINE HONEYCUTTWe were told our truck had a ramp, it did not. We took it back to swap it and were very rudely told we would have to pay for another truck, and dispute for refund with the original. This would have been a completely lost deal but the original employee we dealt with made it right and arranged for a different truck with a ramp. The other employee should not be working with the public.
Matthew Thorpelocation in new smyrna fl below zero .i went in there and there was a women i made arrangemements with for a one way to knoxville TN !!! i came to pick it up 2 days later and she said she had no one way 15 footers she could give to me ( i have the print out of her saying one way 2 days earlier 15 footer) and she treated me bad !! what a bitch! im going to complain to headquarters !!!!!!!!!!!!! I paid 29 dollars for a taxi to edgewater fl for the u haul and at new smyrna fl i was able to walk 2 miles , I EXPECT apology and my money back for my taxi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don KellyUnbelievably clueless ... returned my one way vehicle a day early and handed keys to person working at drop off ... two days later truck still was not checked in, even though I called two days in a row regarding my receipt but NEVER GOT A CALL FROM THEM OR U-HAUL ... then went to location to have my deposit put back on my card and they apparently lack the technology to enter credit card numbers into computer system ... so have to wait two weeks for a paper check!!! I cannot understand how U-Haul remains in business ... need to use Hertz or Ryder next time !!!
