I had reserved the truck at a different pickup location (59 with Ogden), and a very unfriendly lady told me my truck wasn’t there, then she told me I had to go to 1280 W Ogden, with no explanation or apology whatsoever. This made me waste a lot of time. On the other side, I had reserved the truck with two regular dollies, one furniture dolly and 24 blankets. When I went to the final pickup location, the furniture dolly was not available, so the store attendant gave me an appliance dolly instead, minus one regular dolly. We had to move everything and load it on the truck. I think all these elements should be placed on the truck, so the customer doesn’t need to move everything.

I have rented with U-Haul countless times for over 20 years. I've always had positive experiences. I know the standard procedure: you go in, do the paperwork, you get a receipt, the U-Haul rep walks you through everything, you inspect the truck Etc. And the same thing when you return the truck to make sure you're on the same page; papers are signed, receipt is given, you're both in agreement, Etc. Great procedure. However, this time was different. There was no initial inspection. Just a basic paper the older man had me sign. The inside of the van looked like it had not been wiped down/swept at all. Outside was great. Upon returning the truck, I took a photo of the entire console (which I do upon pickup and drop off every time) and, when I returned the key, the cashier (a younger man this time) didn't want to walk the truck with me to make sure everything was on the up-and-up. He also only wanted to do a receipt via email once he looked at it. He didn't even want to give me a receipt stating that I had returned to the key. An hour later, I get an email with an additional charge of $27 for gas along with a receipt stating I didn't fill up the tank. I called facility but, there was no answer so, I drove back there to show him the photo of the console & advised I had a receipt for the gas as well. He then showed me a photo on his phone that he took, same mileage, but, different gas amount & told me I was wrong, that I didn't fill it. When I asked him to take me out to the van so we can look at it together, he again showed me the photo saying that he took a picture showing I didn't fill so the charge was correct. However, in the photo, the lights on the console (the ones that appear as the vehicle is turning on) had not shut off yet. Yes, this is my opinion but, I believe he took the photo before the needle was all the way up. I insisted he show me - in the actual van. When we walked out there & he turned it on, what do you know! It matched the photo I took. His response was "Oh. Maybe I took a picture of the wrong van." No. He didn't. Because HE led me out to the exact van I used. He cleary knew which one it was. (There were only 2 in the lot) Funny how the mileage was the exact same in both, my & his photo but gas gauge was different. What are the odds......

Was booked van and doll. After some time I realized that the doll is not in the van. Would be good if sales person would do through the order before the delivery.

The person at this location told us NOT TO FILL THE TANK WITH GAS and return the truck to the destination. We followed what he told us and had to pay $40 at the drop off location.

It was at a gas station with no signage indicating it was the return center. When I called number provided by uhaul no one answered. When I went into the station the personnel were rude and kept working with gas station customers

When I arrived the man working the counter could not find my confirmed reservation. I used my phone to show the confirmation. Because he was the only person working there we were constantly interrupted so that he could take care of other customers. He finally called a manager who found my reservation. This person was rather rude when I was trying to speed up the process by answering his questions directly instead of having the man on site relay the questions to me. I was finally able to get on my way. I returned the van within the two hours allotted. I asked the man working if he wanted to come and check the van, record the mileage, etc. He said 'no' so I left. I got a call 3 days later asking if I had returned the van. I relayed that I had and that the person there didn't want to look at it. I would not rent from this location again nor would I recommend it to anyone else. It was not a good experience.
