The staff at this location was kind, helpful, and intelligent however due to the lack of maintenance to the trucks that U-Haul as a company provides, I will not be using their services again. The trucks wheel bearing came apart not 30 minutes into a 5 hour drive. We had to get a hotel room for the night to wait on repairs by roadside assistance. They "fixed" said wheel bearing and we left soon afterwards. An hour and a half later, the same wheel bearing came apart again while traveling down an interstate. We pulled off into a truck stop where we waited for roadside assistance for a total of 6 hours. They could not replace the bearing again, due to not having the correct tools to remove the lock nut. We were then instructed to wait an additional hour and a half for a tow truck to tow the broken U-Haul truck to another lot to begin a "Transload" and were informed a team will be waiting to repack our items into a new truck. I told the "Transload" team that I could not wait another additional 90 minutes for a tow truck that may never come. I drove to the U-Haul lot to pick up the truck myself, and the "Transload" manager I was speaking with made it seem to be a huge problem, even though he gave me the code to get the keys for the replacement truck. I started the replacement U-Haul truck to find a Check Engine Light, Traction Control, and Anti-lock brake stystem light on. We let the manager know and he said "let them know if it effects drive ability of the vehicle" ver batum. Once we make it back to the truck stop to where the broken truck is at, we had to unpack and repack the truck ourselves or wait an additional, undisclosed time for a "Transload" team to arrive. The truck was dirty inside the cab and box itself with oil all over the ramp and smells of smoke in the cab area. After we unpacked and repacked the truck, we had issues stopping the truck for the duration of the drive. U-Hauls policy for "Transload" is a $600 payment but it did not cover any fuel loss or time loss due to the incident. In my opinion based from this experience, U-Hauls maintenance and standards have slipped beyond the minimal threshold and they do not care. The roadside assistance is a great tool, but is mismanaged and very time consuming if you have issues with their equipment. U-Haul has forever lost my business due to the delinquency and mis managed roadside assistance program.

Before .. drive 30 mins out of my way to find out the place you guys rescheduled me too was closed … then the knmg other truck available was 45 mins to an hour away … then I was told I would get extra mileage because it was out of my way and I still got charged for extra mileage and when I called about it the after waiting 2 hours on told I was told nothing he could do about it …

THOMAS ATKINSChecked out using mobile app with moderate difficulty due to app issues. Truck was in good condition so no issues with the truck other than the local yahoo didn't include the dozen moving blankets I requested on the rental. Check in process was just unbelievably impossible! First the app would not go past the 1st step which was logging mileage and fuel level then submtting picture of fuel and mileage. When I tried to submit, the app would churn a few minutes and then kick me back to entering mileage, fuel level and taking another picture. This happened more than 10 times so I contacted the Store owner who had just left and even though I contacted him twice while having issues with the app, they did not offer to com back to check in manually. I also closed the app and restarted the process multiple times and finally ended up calling Uhaul main line (912) 234-3059 and was asked to restart the app again and if I still had issues, call them back and I could email them the pictures. I still could not get checked in so I called Uhaul back and submitted my pictures to Alex Westerfield and he made notes on the rental about check in difficulties. When I finally got my final receipt on 12 July, I still had a charge for the moving blankets that I did not get and ending up spending 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon (15 hours ahead of my scheduled drop off time) with hungry kids and a mad wife waiting in my car to pick me up. This was beyond ridiculous and I think you should refund at least a portion of my rental charge along with the moving blanket rental charge that was erroneous. My suggestion would be to improve your app of get rid of it because that was beyond frustrating. Also, you need to instruct your business owners that they should be close enough or have someone else reliable close enough to come to the business location to check in/check out if the customer is having issues with the app. Thanks for your time!...Kirk Teems (contract #28619036)
