Jack crank handle was extremely stiff, very hard to raise /lower trailer to connect to truck hitch. I understand how it happens... but shows lack of maintenance. More importantly and the most frustrating was that the left trailer tail light was burnt out at pick up time. This specific location did not have a spare trailer, so my options upon pick up were to either leave with out a trailer, or use the trailer as is. Because of urgent need for a trailer there was not time to source another trailer. Ultimately after 3 days of being honked at for trailer lights not working and nervousness of possibly being the cause of an accident, I bought temporary magnetic tow lights to ensure my own safety and hopefully avoid legality issues if I were in accident. Quite disappointed with this specific rental experience.

I cannot say enough about the care and attention we received from the staff at south keys tires and brakes with regards to our 20ft i haul rental Businesses can learn so much about the gentle, caring , reassuring way Husain treated us . The van was dirty. Overall, this was not a huge concern but when I was tagged with numerous extra fees that I was not aware of - no pre check, but billed $20 because I didn't take pictures after I used the van? unacceptable without notification!

Tires on vehicle were so bald that this vehicle was not safe to be on the road (but we had no choice); the tire pressure gauge gave low pressure on one tire but when it was brought up, was told the gauge was broken (a tire gauge that is broken does not give any readings); on the highway, the truck shook so much had to slow down to 90 km/h on 110km/h limit road; would never use this location again and would probably never use U-Haul again. Certainly would not recommend them to anyone!

Air conditioner was broken in the truck. The location new it, but did not tell me ahead of time.

- Owner was responsive but staff was not they are sounds like robots. - truck vibrates when brakes applied, staff person drive truck for one block and conformed it is working fine. they just want to follow process not interested in service. i feel that risk while drive this truck all the time but i do not have any option at that time just because i plan my days and work load. - That was the reason i booked pickup location at Gatineau.

South Keys is beyond dirty. The staff doesn't even look clean. It is disorganized and chaotic. The employee/manager/owner we dealt with did not honour our reservation right off the bat and created a new reservation at a higher price without cleaning up the previous reservation. He tacked on SafeMove without telling us. He did not provide us with a copy of the contract and indicated fuel was at half in the system when it was essentially empty (thank goodness I took a picture). The truck had not been swept. The windscreen was so dirty you could barely see through it. Also, we were charged for an appliance dolly and furniture covers we did not get. They were dealing with other customers the same way right in front of us. Zero stars would be more appropriate.

this location left an outstanding balance of over 1600 miles when they dispatched the vehicle to me. My time with the vehicles was 6 hours and the online return wouldn't even let me complete the transaction because it said I had an excessive amount of miles of 1800 which would have me driving at an average speed of 300 mph for 6 hours straight. The vehicle was filthy with spilled coffee everywhere, the smell of cigarette smoke, someones personal belongings still on the seat. The vehicle was dispatched with 1/8 of a gas tank; I returned it with 1/4 tank and was charged. I have been trying to talk to customer service and keep getting disconnected either while someone is talking to me or while I'm waiting for a representative. The dispatchers told me I didn't need to do a pre-trip inspection when I asked for a form or something to fill out. They did not check my ID nor request my reservation number. The vehicle had 35 psi in the right rear tire and around or below 70 psi in the other tires. The vehicle has a warning about its stability system which is noticeable when driving; the vehicle bounces constantly over bumps and relatively smooth roads.

As noted in the comments elsewhere, it's not easy to find. I didn't see a street sign for Mac Street so had to turn around twice ( because Hunt Club is a divided highway) to get there.

The street needs signage at Mac and Hunt Club Tricky because you can only turn onto Mac when travelling eastbound on Hunt Club.

The truck that we rented was overbooked so the owner of the rental location helped us out and gave us an upgrade. Unfortunately the truck we were given had an issue with the battery so once it was loaded it wouldn't start. We had to keep the truck idling for the entire time we had it rented because we were worried it wouldn't start again. Had trouble when we had to turn it off to get gas - had a really hard time getting it to turn over. The owner at the location we rented it from was very accommodating and has also included comments on our file for uhaul. We are waiting to patiently to see what type of compensation uhaul is going to offer for all the trouble we had with our truck rental.

Reserved truck - which was guaranteed - was not available - had to settle for smaller unit. Pick up location changed 3 times and not communicated in timely manner. Out mileage recorded incorrectly and office would not correct. Very disappointing.

The guys at the location were excellent and if you are in that area I would recommend going there! My complaint has nothing to do with the location itself, we should not have had to drive 40 mins to drop off the truck, especially since we were given a huge truck we didn't need or ask for and had to drive 40 minutes to pick it up as well. Scheduling needs to be improved. Uhaul seemed to be so concerned with the reservations before and after us but not ours at all. We move yearly and always use Uhaul and this was the worst experience by far.

I was charged extra for gas when I returned the car at the same level as when I got it. I have the pictures to prove it I will be calling uhaul to try and sort this issue out when I can.

The person in charge of renting the uhaul was very helpful and easy to work with. Uhaul did not provide me with the correct equipment, I was unable to fully move my house because of this. Therefore I'm rating uhaul for poor experience as they were unable to provide me with the vehicle I needed backed by their “guaranteed reservation”.

The location and staff were helpful. However I had an issue with my rental. I rented the 10' truck. Upon arrival to the move location, I discovered that the truck did not have a ramp. This was not written or communicated to me. The lack of a ramp made the move very difficult. I ended up driving more to look for a ramp to rent from Home Depot. I also ended up paying extra to rent a ramp. I am very unhappy with my experience and I would like the cost of the rental refunded. A moving truck should Come with a ramp, and if not, this information should be clearly communicated to the customer.

Fucking con artists i put in 15 liters of gas for driving 16 kilometers in a cargo van fuckers charged me 37 $ on top of it for gas . truck was dirty as fuck garbage still inside cab when i got it
