We were assigned this location for pickup of a 4'x 8' trailer which was farther than what we wanted to travel. On top of that, U-Haul told us there were no 4'x8' trailers, so we were assigned a 5'x8' trailer "at no extra cost". This business pickup location insisted we ordered the 5'x8' and wanted to charge us the additional cost. During the pickup process, the business repeatedly lost wifi and the computer shut down several times during the process. I had to spend an hour on the phone with U-Haul to straighten out the order and adjust the cost for a 4'x8' trailer. On top of all that, after bringing the U-Haul home, we discovered that one of the tires was stripped and needed replaced before our trip. So we spent an additional hour trying to connect with U-Haul to get the tire fixed. Not the best experience by far with U-Haul or this particular business.

The online checkin is very difficult to do without a good signal on a personal device. I was supposed to pickup my unit at 8am, Almost an hour later I managed to get the truck. I never received my email with information of how to do so til 8:41AM. Very frustrating. This process should be initiated prior to arrival to ensure a smoother process. Similarly when dropping off, I was never informed on a drop box or where it was located. After waiting on hold for nearly 30 minutes, I found it. Originally I anticipated it would go back into a lock box from which i retrieved it. I will never attempt the after hours procedures again. Otherwise the unit was clean and ready to go.

It was okay but a strange entry and exit right off a busy road. I thought I was picking the truck up 25 miles closer than where I was assigned. Also, it was annoying that everything was separated. The key pick up box was completely across a largish parking lot to the truck. Then, the key drop off afterwards was on the opposite with a building between where I had to park the truck vs the dropbox.

The gentleman who helped me, cleaned up all the issues with my billing that I had from the first place as far as refunding for the dolly and pads. He was very apologetic on behalf of my experience which goes a long way.

I listed an additional contact during mobile pickup in the event of the rental not being returned on time. That contact was immediately contacted and questioned. Considering the alternatives for that option were to provide a lease contract or a passport, I think it was very misleading. Especially because I picked up the rental before dawn. If I have to wait on someone to analyze a mandatory selfie against a license picture, I'd rather wait in person. Mobile check in, while convenient for the store's employee shortage, is irritating. It took 30 minutes to do a mobile check in that would have taken a clerk maybe 10 minutes. If there's no 4G in the area, you're screwed.

I was disappointed to arrive and find that he didn't have the furniture dollies. I had to drive to another Uhaul location (Gordon's - they were wonderful!) and because of that, we were an hour behind!

Emails are cluttered & unintuitive—there should be very clear calls-to-action for what to expect, and when; and there should be directions in the rental approval email for how to start the return. Similarly, if an account has an open rental, there should be a top-of-home-page message about how to close/dispute the rental.

I'm not sure it is the location's fault but due to their lack of hours on Labor Day I was assessed an additional $20 charge for after hours service. There was absolutely nothing this location has to do to the vehicle or the trailer following my on-time drop off. If this charge is a corporate policy, shame on you. If the location makes the decision I stand by my rating.

Your Drop Phone program really sucks. Would not work and then the guy at the drop off location was going to charge me 20.00 to have him check my trailer. I will look for a competor next time.

The check in process was painful. The clerk had to swipe my credit card 4 different times and take my drivers license picture twice. Then had to call Uhaul support for help to get me going. After 40 minutes of wasted time, I finally got my truck. He said that Uhaul just changed everything 2 days prior and it was all confusing for him. He also said that I must do the 24/7 return even if I returned it during business hours. Not true.

Great customer service, they greeted me friendly and then hooked my trailer up to my vehicle. When I returned the trailer they unhooked it for me and made sure all was well with my experience.

I made the reservations to pick up in one specific location. The day before scheduled pick-up, I was notified that the location had changed. No longer was it a 10 minute drive to pick up the trailer I had reserved, but a 30 minute drive in an unfamiliar city. 30 minutes might not seem all that inconvenient, but my situation was a tight time-frame to work around. We managed it of course and learned from it but the situation was not optimal.

The smartphone process using the website was problematic. I wasn't able to get past the first "take a picture". Download the app. The app process isn't much easier than working with a person. You will still need to check for dents/scratches, photo the fuel level and milage, decline the items you don't want, etc. It's useful for non business hours.

The entire experience was super from beginning to end. I have rented at other locations and would not go back. The staff here is nice, the trucks are always in great shape and ready to go. Anytime I need a truck I will be back at this location again. Totally worth the money!

The lock was jammed and wouldn't open in spite of entering correct code. I had to wait 2.5 hours on phone with customer service after arriving at my scheduled appointment for a service technician to come and open the lock with WD-40 and a pair of pliers. This was on a cold and rainy day, not to mention I had movers waiting I had to pay $40 an hour for sitting around doing nothing as we didn't have the truck. Horrible experience and very disappointed, after having used U-haul numerous times and being a long time satisfied customer. Thanks. Gaurang Chatterjee.

I really miss being able to pick up the van in Slippery Rock, PA. I tried using Zelienople as my back up plan. That didn't work either. At .$79 plus the driving I had to do, it added up quickly. Not the Cranberry location's fault. Just the situation I dealt with.

The location is fine as far as its business appeal. However this location cost me an hour and a half out of my way to pick up the trailer in Cranberry clear over from Butler, PA and back. My original U-Haul agreed upon pick up point was Evans City. U-Haul changed my location to go clear over to Cranberry. Upon drop off, I called U-Haul and they said that there was no assigned drop off point. So passing a U-Haul location I decided to drop it off there instead of the previously discussed drop off point when I was on the phone with the U-haul representative, as the lady told me there was no assigned drop off point. Then I receive my final bill and I'm charged $10 for not dropping it off at the non-assigned, but discussed location. So, what's frustrating is that U-Haul can waste an hour and a half of my time to go clear out of my way to get a trailer that they assigned to a different location. But when I drop off the trailer at a place where they say is not the correct place you charge me $10. So what does this show a customer? That U-Haul has one set of rules for them and a different set of rules for the customer. The contrast being that U-Haul can change the pickup location without any penalty. However U-Haul will penalize the customer, if the customer changes the drop off location. Where is the equality? It seems hypocritical.

I was upgraded to a 26" truck because a 20 was not available. This truck lost a pin causing the passenger side door to become loose, the engine oil PSI gauge bounced back and fourth from 0-80. Road side assistance was made aware but the process of contacting was difficult, phone would ring and no one would ever answer or I would be transferred and no one would answer, chat was also slow. The check in/out process through the app is stressful the app doesn't work so you have to use the web browser and it takes too long. Over all the experience was stressful and disappointing.

Vendor did not charge me for one bag of pads though I took two. He noticed on return inelection (I dropped the truck off very late at night) that I had not opened one pack so he deducted that pack from the bill. Wasn't sure that would happen after I signed for two. Good catch and honest dealings. I'd go back to this place any day.
