I arrived a day early to return and I got out my backpack and a bag of garbage and sweatshirt and the woman was not happy it arrived early. She asked for keys and took the truck to the storage area and I waited inside. I left I think two bottles of water inside and a banana and thought oh well I guess i won't be taking those. I received the email receipt and they charged me 25 $dollars cleaning fee!!!! That is ridiculous and a rip off and I am quite furious but I am back in Utah as I left to catch a flight. I asked the woman before I left was there anything else I needed to do with teh truck and she said no it was fine. This was a scam site. I was also irritated as I wanted a 26 foot truck, Uhaul in SLC couldn't find one and I waited 6 days for them to call me and they never did and so I was glad I had this 20ft truck as a backup. The truck itself took 58 gallons to go just over 400 miles...that was also ridiculous as they should get around 10 mpg.

StoragePlus and the location did a great job… U-Haul did a horrible job. Not only do I not understand my charge I am disputing the entire charge. I was unable to quickly use the app or that U-Haul website… It took me 50 minutes to pick up a 24 seven express key code from the lock box. U-Haul‘s lockbox. I was on hold with customer service for at least 30 minutes until the problem which took another 15 to resolve what is the time on the reservation. I only needed the truck for one hour. I hired two men for one hour. Because it took me so long to pick up the truck they had to leave for another job and I had to pay two men and did not use the truck. I also do not understand the bill. I had to put 1 mile on the check out odometer even though I didn't move the truck once. In order for me to check out. Then I receive a bill for 1999 the charge of the truck with a mysterious 10 extra dollars attached to it. I am disputing the entire bill with American Express and U-Haul. Your online check in and online check out when a person needs to use your equipment after hours. When one signs up on his or her computer there is important information that is needed. This information was requested at the site with the smart phone which was difficult to get. I tried to check in for oven an hour. There was nothing about having to have an account with a password. It would have been easier if this information was to be given while setting up the account to get the equipment instead of at the site. Your check out was misleading. The first thing that appeared was the orange box and a statement that the key should be placed in the orange box. That should the the last step after the person takes the photos of gas gauge and odometer. If the person does not have the key and locked equipment and deposited the key in the orange box in the last step.

The uhaul guy in San Juan Capistrano was really surprised storage plus rented me such an old trailer with almost completely bald tires. I should have looked at them before leaving.

No visible signage or other trailers. No place to stop with a traler. Yiu have to block the driveway and get help from inside.

The husband is a detriment to the operation. He openly demeans his help. The operation would be above average if the husband stayed in the office and away from the greeting area.

This was the worst experience. Started with my reservation. I ordered at a different location 0,5 miles. From my house. Got a call that I had to pick up 5 miles from my house. Adding 10 miles to my trip. Neither place had a 26 ft which meant 2 trips adding 30 miles to my ticket Then upon arriving to pick up my keys we're in the wrong lock box causing me to have to call u haul and get help. Also when checking out I had to have an alternative contact which I wasn't aware of. It's early in the morning who am I going to call to answer their phone? Then I tried to extend my reservation because I lost 45 minutes plus the extra time driving and I couldn't because another family needed it at 7:30 So I bust my ass to get the truck back by 7. Pull in at 7:02 through eagle traffic that I wouldn't of have to drive if I picked up from my requested location. Do my check out process and had the end it told me the lockbox code for compartment 2 for a brief moment and then said complete. I didn't want to put the keys in the drop box instead because then the family after me would not be able to get their keys so I chatted with multiple people on the u haul app who were not helpful in the least. Waited on hold for 20 minutes to be told that the reservation had been changed for the next family and that I was okay to put the keys in the drop box. Still not giving me the code to put in compartment 2. So when the family shows up in the morning for the u haul they are going to be screwed because ther is no way to get keys out of the drop box without a key. After 45 minutes of trying to be thoughtful for the next family I ended up having to drop them in the drop box anyways. Absolute awful experience from reservation to check out.

The agent behind the desk did not tell me what the hours were for Saturday so when I returned the truck no one was in the office. I was also not told where to drop off the keys. I looked for a drop off on the front of the building. I locked the truck and took the keys and drove around to find a U-Haul business that was open so they could tell me what to do with the keys.

I had a horrible experience with Uhaul this time except when I got to the pickup. The main uhaul people called two days ahead and said I didn't have my truck. It messed my move up. The only good part was the very professional and kind host at the storage plus. If it wasn't for her I'd be looking into some kind of complaints with BBB or more. Not happy at all with the way this company is ran.

While attempting to pick up my rental I received the wrong key. I had to spend about an hour trying to get a hold of someone to get the situation resolved. Meanwhile my rental time was ticking by. Turns out my key was in another lock box and I was given the wrong box and code. There is literally 2 lock boxes. I don't think it would take too long to ensure the correct key is in the correct box while placing them. When people are renting Uhauls they are usually on a schedule and don't have an hour to kill. Nor do the people hired to help move.

The staff was very friendly and the process was easy, but I was charged for 40 miles on the van, when I drove about 5 miles. I'm not sure if they added someone else's mileage onto my bill or what, but I drove about 3 blocks, not 40 miles.

The van was dirty inside and out , smelling strongly smoke, pipe or marijuana. Then the app locked up, was not taking pictures, review driver procces a mess. I took the van, and when I turned on the heater the smell was unbearable. I return it back, then the app was telling that I was going to be charged a cleaning fee. Thank God the girl in the location made a note for me in the system and reversed the charges. I ended up in Penske, and I am happy I did. I will take a brake from Uhaul for s while. The contactless system sucks!

Once again, the online check-in and check-out did not work and I had to wait for the facility operator. The step for uploading my drivers license (on check-in) and photo of the mileage and fuel gauge (check-out) kept failing. I may try another provider with my next move.

The truck was dirty. Someones stuff still remained like sunglasses in the glove box. A cigarette in the ashtray. Seat was dirty from something that spilled, like soda. Bottle opener and ashes from smoked weed found in the door handle well. We cleaned the truck out when finished! We were also charged for a dolly and hand truck that was NOT in the truck when we rented it!

Pam had us dropping the U-Haul off in Garden City, when it was original set up with John to drop off at Storage Plus in Eagle as that is where our storage units were located. I had to spend 45 minutes trying to get through to someone at U-Haul to get approval to drop it off at Storage Plus as the app would not work because I was not at the Garden City location.

We reserved and paid for 2 utility dollies. During our mobile pick up we discovered there was only 1 in the truck and the storage location was closed for the day. We sat in the parking lot talking to a uhaul rep for nearly an hour trying to find a solution but the only one offered was that we could go back in the morning to pick up another one when they opened. Obviously this was inconvenient as we were moving in the morning and already had a million things to do. Going back to that location after they opened was really frustrating. I thought at least they'd cover the cost of the missing dolly but I was still charged for both.

The key was not in the box. The location was closed because of the corona virus. The sign on the door said to call the number listed for help. I called, no one answered. Had to call Uhaul 800# and they had to call around, eventually getting in touch with the regional manager who contacted the facility and someone came out with the key.
