Drop box was broken. We could not drop the key off and had to come back the next day.

I was send to three locations for drop-off. The first refused my trailer the other two I could not locate so I dropped the trail off at one I saw while driving to my first drop-off location. They didn’t process my paperwork for days. Worst experience ever with Uhaul.

The 24/7 Service is a joke. I made my reservation 5 weeks in advance. U-haul calls me at 10am the day before to confirm. Al good, right? Nope. I get to the location at 8am and try to use the online service for 24/7 pickup, and the app tells me I have to wait until the location opens at 9am! i call the U-haul help number, and find out that they waited until late in the day to confirm my early pick-up, and couldn't get anyone. They couldn't get someone for 7 HOURS after I confirmed? So they change me to another 24/7 pickup location 2 miles away, I go there and the place doesn't open until 9:30am, I can do the online check-out, but the trucks are all behind a locked gate, so checking out is pointless. I end up going back to the first location after wasting over an hour. DON'T depend on the "24/7 self-checkout"!

It wasn't a branded U-Haul store so I didn't go in. The guy outside waved me in and directed me where to drop the truck off. After dropping the truck, the guy took my contract + keys and that was it. It was a very easy process.

explain what "1 way" means, rental a trailer with a ramp , they close at 12 noon said i could return to 34th st. but did not know it would be a extra charge and he was closed.

No lighting at night on lot. Poorly marked. Disorganized overcrowded lot. Drop box was on the side of an abandoned pool hall. It was overstaffed and looked easy to get the keys out of. Apparently they don’t check it because two days later I got contacted by U-Haul saying my truck was never returned. Clearly it was.

They tried to charge me for insurance coverage when I declined it. They did not show I returned the equipment on time and customer service had to call and confirm the return and they did that at 5:10pm.
