App is horrible and the trucks are not easy to get unless taking to an agent. Your website told me to get the keys from and agent inside. There was no inside or an agent. Need to do better uhaul!

Once the truck got in traffic it immediately overheated and it was discovered that the fan was NOT attached to the engine at all. This caused me significant delays and inconveniences costing me an additional day of travel. As of this survey, no one from U-Haul has contacted me to see how I can be compensated for my troubles and let me know how U-Haul intends to make things right. When I dropped off the truck the staff there was very helpful and the clerk contacted his boss who informed me that someone from the location where I rented the truck would contact me within 48 hours and see how I could be compensated. That was 7 days ago and still no contact from anyone at U-Haul concerning the numerous roadside assistance calls. April from roadside assistance was the only representative that followed up and checked on how we were doing. Additionally, I had to purchase 2 gallons of coolant to get the truck off the side of the interstate which I have yet to be reimbursed for.

Nobody available during business hours at pick up or drop off. Uhaul App was awful to use and I had to call and speak with customer service. It was just things that made it much more difficult than it really should have been.

Repair the door seal as it kept coming off and would fall under my feet while driving or exiting the truck. Also clean the windshield

I did the self drop off. The parking spots were all slightly downhill, so I had to grab a couple landscape rocks to chock the tires. The trailer tongue was very heavy to lift off my truck. Tongue jacks would be nice. My back is a bit sore.

Spoke to the attendant through a ring camera mounted on top of a light pole, and repeatedly had to yell my information up at it for him to hear anything all while I was in the process of dropping the trailer.

Three addresses are provided and never did we see a person. Also we had to put fuel in the truck before using it. Didn't plan for the time for that.

Self pick up service at this location is poor. 1) Truck was not clean 2) Truck was on low fuel indication - (reserve led was lit) 3) Requested appliances doll was not present at the time of pick up ( or in the truck) 4) Wasted my 1hr at pick up to just hear back from U haul support - that too vague answers “come and pick up your dolly from another location which is was 4 miles away.

For starters, make sure the vehicle windows are clean both inside and out. Also, make sure you system assesses charges correctly as I was charged for fuel when I returned the truck at the same level when picked up.

the uhaul we rented had a horrible smell that ended up attaching to our belongings. the office at the location where i picked up the uhaul was closed permanently and the main office is in a new location. when we returned it that night. i was met with one of the employees and i mentioned this to him and his boss who was on the phone and didnt really care to check it out. unfortunately , this is the closest location to our home.

When changing pickup location, advise if it is self service or attendant on duty. Your self service is very hard to use with a cell phone

There was no one to meet us and go over everything which would have been very helpful given the amount of money we spent. Once we got the truck home, the furniture dolly that I ordered was missing and the back of the truck reeked and I mean reeked of Marijuana. So bad that we had to wash everything once we unpacked. I have never had such bad customer service in my life!!! Never use Uhaul again.

more clear indications how to pick up truck ..... if all has to be done by nternet or cell ........ let client know ASAP .... It took me 1 hr after I arrived to the location to drive away with the truck

Windows were filthy. I had no help. I will never use this type service. I used the app to check in but was not able to go back in to check out. It wasn't until I arrived home that I saw that I was now expected to respond to an app. Very inconvenient.

Got there to find a sign telling ppl to go to a auto shop down the street. Went there to find a rude man handing me the key and telling me that my rental was not his job and a waste of his time. Drove back to the truck and found a lock on the back and no one knew the code. I then drove the truck to a Uhaul location not far away and they had to cut the lock off. The Windows were filthy inside and out.

The original location and appointment time were not met. I was supposed to have a truck at 8am at Coloma Gas and Food and there was no truck there. I didn't get a truck until 3 hours later at this location, and it caused significant issues and delays throughout the entire day as a result.

Staff was very helpful but the 15 foot truck did not return and I had to take a 10 foot truck instead. The truck was out of gas and the staff adjusted the fuel gauge and let me know that I could fill the tank.

This location is simply where they store the trucks, the storage place itself is closed and a new company runs the uHaul rentals, but they are at a completely different location with a different name than what's listed on the rental info. After an hour trying to find the location, I had to then find out where the new business was, drive over to it, in order to get given the keys as they did not have it setup for self service. The truck was below empty, and dirty inside and out. It clearly needs front end work as well, as it violently shook at all highway speeds the entire time. I was charged for my rental, but then upon returning it early, it tried to charge me an additional $300+! Whole deal was a mess and a headache.

The only problem was that there is no longer an office at this location, I had to go two blocks (with 2 u-turns) to get an agent to help me. The site would be fine if you use the app instead of the in person option.

We showed up and there was no one working. We never received an email with proper instructions on how to access the truck it took us over 30 mins and 3 phone calls to get it. Than when we turned in the truck the fuel level so beyond low that we barely made it to a gas station and we bought blankets and pads for our move and they never gave them to us. No one did a walk through of the truck with us not even a walk through using the phone. This was a terrible experience

It was unclear through the mobile process that i wasn’t renting for a 24 hour period…..since i was asked to estimate miles I assumed the hours were an estimate too…..so they charged me two 39,95 fees…..

The vehicle that I received was dirty special interior area, but outside was a little dirty which is justified due to the conditions that's around the vehicle and was not a major problem. I was glad that the vehicle was available and I am very grateful. I did have a hard time using the web app to check the vehicle in which was a total pain I waited on the phone for approximately 45 minutes and got frustrated and called the main location number to return the vehicle which was excellent.

Mobile check in and out was very easy, quick and preferred. Vehicle was fine although drove a little strange, alignment seemed off. The outside and inside were just a bit dirty but still usable.

The site wasn't even ran by UHaul as a business. It was a private vendor with one trailer in a storage lot facility who was very disgruntled but helpful. Either make this a full site or push the products to a different site

I went through the online process to pick up my reserved truck and after completing the process the website instructed me to go to the counter to pick up the keys. But it turns out that the business had moved their office to a different location so the doors were locked and there were no employees onsite but there was a sign on the door with a number to call for assistance. I had to call twice because my first call went unanswered. The person I spoke with told me the combination to the lock of the cargo door and that the keys were inside but I couldn't get the lock open with the combination that I was given so the person on the phone told me that he'd come over to help. He arrived after a few minutes and came over to assist me and it took him several minutes to get the lock open. When he finally got the lock open the keys were not in the cargo area so he had to go inside to search for they keys which took several more minutes. He was not wearing a mask the entire time interacting with me (I was wearing a mask the entire time) so I imagine this business has no concern for COVID safety measures for their customers.

Very rude at pick up. Then I left a message the following week- no phone call back. I called 1-800 --Uhaul and even the customer service rep couldn't get anyone to answer the phones. I have used UHaul for 25 years, and moved across country 5 times in their trucks. Not just this location, but the entire experience was horrible.

Place additional rented equipment ie. Dollies etc in truck/at facilities where truck is being picked up. Or, provide detailed instructions on procedure for obtaining equipment prior to arrival to pick up truck and equipment.
