This was the worst Uhaul experience I've ever had. I ordered a one way truck to be dropped off in a city 1 hour away. I called Uhaul customer service to confirm this was a one way rental and they verified it was. When I went to pick up the truck, the manager told me I could not take it to any other city, it has to be returned back to the original drop off location. It was after 6pm and all other Uhaul locations were closed so I didn't have any other options. The manager then said that he will override the system so we can drop off the Uhaul in the other city. When it was time to drop off the truck, my mobile drop off location said the original pick up location. I called the manager back and he SCREAMED at me on the phone, told me that he never said I could drop it off at another location and if I don't return the truck to his location, he will charge me heavily. I drove the truck all the way back to the original city to return the next day and later received a Uhaul text message stating I can return to a different location, AFTER I drove another 60 miles back to the original drop off spot. I believe this man is trying to scam people, he should NOT be allowed to offer Uhaul rentals. Not to mention I was charged for Safemove insurance when I NEVER ORDERED IT.RACHAEL S.
The person that went through the process of handing over the key was not helpful. There wasn't even a person on-site to help with hooking up the vehicle transport. There was supposed to be a vehicle inspection as well which never happened because the person that handed me the key was new and nobody else was there that knew what they were doing.Timothy K.

I was charged for a two wheeler that was not in the truck and for moving blankets/pads not in the truck either and I never received a final invoice. Not impressed with finding out the location to pick up the truck was a seedy motel either. Very unnerving experienceTeri K.

This was not our original location. We were not able to pick up our truck at the original location, because of a delayed return. So we had to drive to this location. We had 2 dozen furniture pads on our reservation. This location had no furniture pads. Nor did the original location, so we had to make due without these pads. Not sure why you would allow someone to reserve pads and not ensure they were available. This was not this location's issue, and she did remove the charge for the pads. However, this is very poor customer service from Uhaul.Elliott R.

This is the worst location to rent from. There was nobody there to help hook up the trailer to make sure it was done properly. Luckily my husband went and picked up the trailer cause he had to lift the trailer onto the hitch himself. He had to ask a homeless man for help cause there was nobody else around. If I would of gone to pick it up there is no way I could of gotten it done. I tried calling the location for verification before pick up and they were rude and acted like they didn't understand. I ended up having to call uhaul to verify since my pick up location had changed without notice. This was the worst uhual experience we have had.Hannah B.

Remind the customer what the fuel level was at time of pickup, so refueling wouldn't be a guess. The photos I took at pickup were not saved to my phone, (just remained in the app) , so I have no record of the fuel level.Mark S.

The people managing this location tried to change the terms of the contract and tried to tell me that I HAD to return the Uhaul to their location or I would be charged double, and that the prearranged drop off location was not in their system when I knew full well by speaking earlier to customer service prior to going there that it IS in the system. Then they tried to tell me the truck had to be back within 1 day when the contract had been for 3 days due to Uhaul not having the size truck available that I had reserved long before the time needed. It wasn't just "what" they tried to pull on us at this location. It was "HOW" the treated myself and my husband. They got rude and loud. I told him that I could show him my contract and I was trying to explain why it was written the way it was. He kept putting his hand up and saying it doesn't matter! You have a problem with the terms to call customer service. He said I don't talk to you anymore !STEPHEN A B.

I put down on my reservation I needed blankets and U-Haul moved my location to this place and they didn't have blankets. Very frustrating had to go to another place to get blanketsJames G.
Worst experience using UHaul. I got this Uhaul after they were closed so I called and spoke with another UHaul location about if I pick up the UHaul from this location if I could drop it off at another and was told yes many times. When I dropped it off at the other location he said everything was fine and I would not be charged due to dropping it off with them. Then a couple days later I get an email saying I owed due to dropping it off at that location. When I called the 1-800 customer service line they told me a manager from a location would we calling me. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL! Then two weeks later I get charged for the full amount without any notice or calls. WORST UHAUL SERVICE EVER!!Kali F.
This is a secondary business to the owner of this hotel chain location. The owner was insulted that I dared ask clarifying questions regarding my rental charges. He refused to answer questions and threatened to overcharge me if I did. When I persisted, he threatened to "throw my ass off the property." I was charged for 108,2 miles instead of the 38,2 miles I actually used. I was also told I could not take the truck without the Safe Move insurance charge of 14 $per day with is contrary to U-Haul policy. I ultimately had to have U-Haul Corporate intervene to correct the overcharges. U-haul corporate correct all of the overcharge except for 15,98 $ that I am still due. I am not going to pursue the money any further. The worst thing was the awful treatment by this U-Haul affiliate after such a grueling and tiring two days of moving items that most 70 year old men like me are not used to doing. I have learned that you should never go to one the affiliates. Go to a corporate owned U-Haul location that does nothing else. For sure I will never do business with Best Western Hotels and their affiliates since they allow such awful people to own and operate their locations.Stephen D.

Location is at a motel, so its not the front desk lady can go out and hook up a trailer for someone who hasn't done it before, nor should a lady be hooking up a large trailer. I had to take off a few hours of work to go get the trailer for my wife on account of this. But in reality, no other rental location in town hooked it up for us either or even came outside to make sure it was done right.Kerie A.

To expensive price is a gimmick. You can't rent a truck for 29 $one location and return it to a different location even if ur storage is at the ending location because the price jumps up. Joke should not want to rip off customers.Nathan P.
It was very convenient because we were staying at the Surestay Plus Hotel. I think this is a new Uhaul location, I had to find someone to help me back the trailer in a parking spot to drop it off. Aside from that it went smooth and I loved the convenience, especially after a 2 day drive.MaryAnn B.
you could return their money when the trailer you said would work and they coulldnt use it and brought it right back. the trailer was 2000 lbs short of cargo rating as well as the fenders were too close and would not allow my vehicle to go on without damage to my tires or the trailer. to top it all off the guy at the counter was very rudeMICHAEL S.
