It was raining and the nice representative pulled up the van, gave me paperwork and said I was good to go. He should have said look at the odometer, before driving off. I mentioned the tire light was on and he said it was fine. While I was driving, it occurred to me I should check the mileage, which i could not see on the dash with all the messages. When i was finished with the van, I documented my mileage, but the odometer read much higher than what I expected, therefore the beginning mileage was not right on the contract. I have an open case because I believe I was overcharged and would like someone to call me as they promised. Merci.

He was rushed, made me wait 35 minutes. Never did a walkthrough of van, odometer reading or anything. I took pick of odometer and it's a good thing because they overcharged my by 40 miles when I only did a total of 5. Stay away from this place.

Marcos RMake sure your vehicles don't need front end work and a starter. I had to leave the truck running the entire trip because the starter was intermittent.

Jeanmarie MDriver's side window did not close properly. Seal let in air. Needs to be checked/repaired. Older model U-Haul cargo van. Clean, well maintained, but older model. Main U-Haul hubs carry newer models with backup cam assist, other. If you need a local dealer, this place is great.
JAMESCHRISTOPHER DMy only comment is that once again (I rented a uhaul a few weeks ago) my pickup location changed the day before pickup, to a location that was further away and less convenient to get to. This added unanticipated miles to my round trip. Otherwise, it was seamless and easy.

Dan LMake sure all ordered extras are loaded onto truck...I discovered dollies and cloths were missing when I arrived at pick up. Furnishings were damaged as a result. Then I was charged for the missing equipment!! I travelled to the pick up location and was told that I had to call UHaul to correct situation...After holding on the line to talk to someone forever the call was disconnected. I wrote email without response yet!!!!
Melvyn GHello. I had a 10AM pick up on Friday 1/22/21 at the above location. Any time I tried calling them prior, no one would ever pick up the phone. Anyway,I got there around 10:15 am, and the guy rudely said he didn't have a truck, and acted like I was a hassle. I walked out and sat outside and called 800gouhaul and they were directing me to someone to help. As I waited for a call back, the truck showed up in syosset about just before 10:30am. The guy at syosset tire and car care (middle age, Caucasian, glasses)csays 'oh the truck just showed up'... so as he's checking me out he's saying he can't pull up much on my info but yet got straight to the price. He tells me it's $238.21. I said "what?!" The woman on the phone who booked my reservation (she was nice and professional by the way) quoted me at $204,21 AFTER TAX. His reasoning to me for the extra fees was taxes. I later found out it was an extra $34 for insurance "Safe Move" which I was never aware of and NO ONE EVER offered me insurance. If so I would have turned it down. I'm in the process of hopefully getting a refund. Maybe whoever reads this can see to it that credit comes back to me. I'd be curious to know what time 'safe move' was applied, as to know who added it without my consent. Besides that. I spoke with a nice lady on the way and told her my troubles and she helped me find a drop off point and I dropped it off and everything should be fine and done on that end.

james sThe outside of the truck was extremely dirty to the point I asked the store owner if uhaul would say something to me returning it in that condition and got waved off that it wasn't an issue. All the way up to the " moms attic" was covered in dirt and I had to stop at a gas station just to clean the windshield because the wipers couldn't handle the dried dirt marks. I have never used a uhaul that dirty.

marie dI was originally told to go to another location on my email confirmation. I went to the Jericho Location and they did not have the van. Then they told me to go to the syosset location. The whole process took about two hours. Really wasted my time. Not happy
suraj pThis site did not do a walk around of the vehicle with us and/or have us acknowledge any current damage or lack there of on the vehicle prior to departure. They just gave us the keys and said to return it with gas. When we returned the vehicle to our home base location after a smooth, unscathed transit, we were hit with a $500 charge to our credit card for minor damage on the vehicle that apparently was not previously noted by this Syosset location. Again, there was no walk around of the vehicle prior to our departure nor did the employee review and have us sign any acknowledgement about the present damage or lack there of on the truck. This has created a great deal of stress for us as we are in the process of having this appealed and looked into. We are very disappointed in this experience with U-haul and will be making sure this experience is noted and gets resolved.

Lynn CBack of the truck still had debris and keys on the floor, it was not cleaned (swept) by previous renter or pick up location. The dealer did not inspected the vehicle with me. I had tire issues during my entire trip. The mirrors were not positioned properly they were tilted toward the floor. I had to find an Allen Key to adjust along the way. My reservation was changed to this location not at my request it was inconvenient for me, I had to take the bus since it was an additional 8 miles to this location.

David KThis was not the truck we ordered/reserved mor was it the location we reserved for pick up - so although the location was fine, the entire experience was tainted by the fact that Uhaul called us the day before our rental which was reserved a week prior to let us know they didn't have the truck we wanted nor was it up location we were requested. So! we had to drive an extra 20 miles to pick up a smaller truck and make multiple trips for our move. They also had the wrong Drop off location listed in the wrong state - we were dropping off in Stamford CT not Syosset NY. So It was not a great experience. We rent a good amount from Uhaul, so we were pretty disappointed.

Kiran RBoth the cabin and the interior of the cargo compartment were dirty. I had to clean both before using. The interior of the cabin was worn. The driver's seat was torn and part of the dashboard was damaged. The staff at the location were professional and efficient.
John LRep authorized my rental unbeknownst to the van owner who reported the van stolen. Police officers were waiting for me upon returning the truck and the ordeal caused severe anxiety to myself and family.
Daniel GSteve overcharged me 100 miles and when I reviewed receipt in his shop told me to take it up with 1-800 UHaul CS (Steve checked truck to verify he overcharged). I called CS and they put shop owner & I in touch with Steve his Traffic Mgr who helped correct problem. Steve: No apology or interest in me as a customer... Would have done nothing to correct problem unless I took action there and then! Will never go back to this shop for anything or any reason ever again.
William GThe person in charge with rentals came 35 minutes late at work. The rental car was not there, they had to go get it, it took another 25 minutes. I returned the car with the gas tank on double amount than I got it and I didn't get reimbursed or credited for the extra gas left in tank. No way to use this location ever again.

KONGMAN NAs above and also was charged gas price + $30 fee to refill 2 gallons of gas. I was not informed there would be a $30 fee In addition to charges for gas. Grear that you guys offer access to trucks on demand however this was a bad experience. Will rent elsewhere next time to compare
