Very unclear as to where to actually pick up the U-Haul. It was parked so tight, when the man on the phone told me the key was on the driver's side rear tire I had to squeeze all 6"2 270lb between 2 trucks with 14" of space. Literally sardines in that parking lot. Would not recommend pickup from this location.

As a senior lady, I wouldn't have felt safe at this location had I not been with a male friend. The entire space where the Uhaul trucks were parked was littered with trash. And not just a bit of litter strewn about, it literally looked like a garbage dump. There were no instructions or signage as to where I should park my own vehicle while using the truck. I decided to park where the truck I was renting was parked. When I returned, another Uhaul truck was parked literally inches from my vehicle door. Thankfully, I have a sunroof or I would have been stuck ! Whoever is the agent at that location needs to do better. They are representing UHaul afterall. I was grateful, however, that there were no mechanical issues with the truck. That said, there shouldn't be if they vehicles are maintained properly. After that experience, I wouldn't trust that the vehicles in this location are, in fact, properly maintained. I would not rent from this location again.

Trash location. Felt so unsafe coming at night.it'S literally in the middle of no where in between truck parking and truckers coming and going. Padlocks are so high off the ground, you have to be on your tippy toes. Half the time it didn't open. Avoid this location at all costs.

This was by far the worst experience I've had and cemented that I will never use uhaul again. 1. I had selected in person pick up rather than the self directed pick up. 2. The morning of my rental, I was called by an associate and told that my rental pick up location was moved, but it was only a km away - no worries to me. This person did not inform me that this location was not a storefront location, but in person pick up. 3. I got a text message from uhaul and the provided me a phone number to call when I got there. 4. When we found the address, the pick up location is basically a giant scrap yard and drop off for semi trucks - there was no clear signage and no storefront. Only when you get to the very end of the huge lot there a sign that says uhaul drop off - doesn't even mention pickup. 5. I called the number provided to me. No one answered. I called again, no answer. And there was not a single person anywhere near us. 6. I called the customer service line - they asked to put me on hold while they tried to contact someone from this lot - I was put on hold for 15 minutes and my call then disconnected. The rep just hung up on me. 7. Finally someone from the lot contacts me - I get access to my truck after a little back and forth. The truck was not clean, and I had ordered two dollies - there was only one. 8. The truck was given to us with a near empty tank - legitimately it was under 1/4 filled so before even getting to move my stuff I had to fill gas. Abhorrent customer service, I can't believe I paid for this. I wish I could give negative stars.

Go to an actual U-Haul location, not an approved site. Go to the real deal. Never met anyone. Had to phone a number and the key to the van was just tucked away on the van. Was so shady.

The service I received at this location was very unsettling. Would not recommend the location whatsoever. I had specifically selected a U-Haul location that would have a reception available to whom I can pick the vehicle up from and drop the vehicle off to. I also distinctly recall that I had deselected the option for "coverage" yet was charged a $15 fee for it. The location instead was located in a large deserted fenced truck storage lot with several signs for phone numbers that were not U-Haul related although having U-Haul's logo on them, none of which were answering nor had any correlation to U-Haul. A sign on the opposite side of the road to the entrance also had a U-Haul logo, except with a phone number and TCP Simple Technologies in small writing. The phone did not pick up the first time calling, ringing all the way through to voicemail. In the lot were nothing except large transport trucks and a small alley deep inside where an unkempt area had four or five smaller U-Haul cargo vans that were quite all badly damaged. I called the not easily visible phone number on the opposite side of the entrance a second time and the attendant on the line was very rude, and not friendly whatsoever. They directed us to the alley with the cargo vans, and was directed to find the keys hidden inside of the wheel. The attendant on the phone instructed to put the keys in an orange box on the side of the alley upon returning the vehicle and to make sure it is in the exact position, with the same amount of gas, slightly less than 1/4. The vehicle provided was quite overused and not recently cleaned at all. The parking brake inside the vehicle was badly damaged, barely attached and hardly usable. The exhaust had liquid spilling from it upon turning on the vehicle. The inside of the driver's area of the van was very dirty, with garbage left in the cup holder, garbage left behind the seats, and belongings of someone else left behind. Under the passenger glove box there was wiring hanging out. Inside the rear of the vehicle had a broken plank and was also very dirty, having a stained furniture pad strapped on the floor of it, that was soaked in some areas. Unhappy with the service. Want my money back for not ordered coverage - $15.

Over charged me for fuel. Showed up 45 minutes late to the site to give me keys. No one would answer my calls, I had to call u-haul and get them to contact someone. Even that took another 20 minutes.

I booked a rental from the 2500 Barnett highway location and for a call a day before at 230pm saying that I am out of luck and the truck is broken. I asked to book another truck and no luck. They finally sent me to a location in Surrey which was over an hour away. Once I got there the next day I got another agent telling me my truck was not booked and that it's pending. I waiting until 930am to finally book a truck that was way too big for what I needed but I'm desperation I got it. I had movers scheduled for 9am sharp and I had to cancel those as I got to my location late. I had booked an elevator time for 12 and it took longer then expected to move due to the truck being so large I could park it anywhere to load it. I then had to return it at the Surrey location and have someone drive all the way from Vancouver to pick me up as they had no parking at that location which cost me double in gas. Aside from all this the trucks gas was alot more then I expected and also I was offered a credit but nothing reflected on my invoice. Overall this move was stressful for me as my wife is 8 months pregnant and I didn't let her know any hiccups we had to not stress her. My movers were a no show due to lateness and I had only my dad to help. Overall I have 2 family members moving this year and I wouldn't recommend uhaul to them.

I booked the truck for 10am but the guy only came at 10:45 with the keys . By the time we got everything filled in and the truck moved around it was 11am before we could leave the location. This caused an hour delay in our day which our client wasn't happy with.

It was not me dropping anything to this location, check the identification of the customers. I got charged for someone else because uhaul employees can't do their job properly, in result I got uhaul stealing money from my credit card. Very disappointing and worst experience ever

Nobody was at location. The trailer we rent was not available when we went to pick it up. Waste my 90 my minutes and we end up renting truck instead of trailer. Manager who was talking with me on phone told me that i will get credit of 50 dollars because of this delay but i didn't get that too

fix your software. Not being able to credit the credit card on hand and bill it to another is standard practice for decades with many other companies and you do not provide the service without a call into another customer service representative.

Location was so sketchy it was almost scary. Narrow access and trash everywhere. Restricted movement ability in confined parking area; expected precision parking despite limitations. Truck mostly clean but icky white dribbly spill on steering wheel. Not a location I would ever recommend.

No one was available to dispatch the vehicle , I had to call a phone number and the person gave me a number to unlock the key box on the RH rear view mirror, when I returned the vehicle I had to park the vehicle at the same spot reverse parking very small space, and drop the key in a Red Box. There were previous customers used napkins, RH front tire pressure was low, I put air on all tires RH front tire were 40 psi I put air on all tires to 60 psi, had to pay $2 for Air. I drove 66 kms put 15 liter gasoline , fuel level was more than what I was received. This same vehicle I took the next day and he overcharged me for fuel and cleaning

He over charged me for fuel and Cleaning, I drove 43 kms put 10 liter Gasoline . fuel level same as received and returned. There were no one present at the location for dispatch or return inspection. I have used to move a recliner chair and a small bike for 6 year old child, no dirt in side or outside I returned the van as it was received

Overall, I had a really bad experience with U-Haul. This was my very first time renting a U-Haul vehicle and it turned out to be the worst. So, I booked the vehicle online through the website for Sunday. And I was offered a 24/7 pickup using the mobile phone. But, on Sunday morning, while on my way to the location, I tried to access the booking, but it did not let me do anything. Then, I called in the customer service, and was informed that nobody set up the vehicle the day before, as the location being closed on Sundays. I felt like, the guy over the phone did not even care about this and I heard him laughing about this happened. Though he arranged another vehicle at a different location, which did not meet my satisfaction. There was no parking available anywhere nearby, so I had to go get my friend to drop me off at the location. It all took me about an hour and a half of my time. Now, the vehicle was not in condition as well, it had the TPMS light ON in the beginning. I checked the tire and did not bother refilling. After all, I am not happy with the rate that I got charged.

Location is not signposted at all and difficult to find. Cargo trailer was dirty (interior was clean) and one marker light did not work. Drop off was tricky, involving reversing around a corner between trucks.

It was disappointing when I reserved the truck and the handcart dolly to find out the following morning it was first come first serve therefore I recommend that if there’s no hand carts available it should be noted on the website when booking the equipment it’s very misleading

The wires on the trailer I rented were broken. I had no brake lights. I contacted the location and they saidgo to a corporate uhaul location and they can deal with it. I went there and the repair took over 1 hour. Overall I wasted 3 hours of mt day trying to get it sorted out which resulted in me not being able to move all my things in 1 day. Never using uhaul again.

The dealer was very impatient and not very helpful over the phone. The van was parked at the back of a poorly lit gravel lot and there was barely enough room to get the truck out. He expected me to parallel park a large truck in a small gap. The truck was not swept, there was a large chip in the windshield and the door frame rubber seal is falling off. The pictures it asked me to verify were obviously very old as there was snow in them. They were also back lit so I could not see any detail on the truck. I was charged double what I was expecting and I was not given a reason as to why. Overall it was not a good experience and I would recommend against anyone using this location.

it would be nice to actually meet the people you drop the truck off so you could go over truck condition , in my case i was leaving town and would not be able to go over any problems that the drop off place may have found .i prefer person to person .He was nice though as i left my glasses in truck and he then came out to let me get them.

not in my area, liked the contact, briefly. Easy for me to come from Chilliwack, pick up the trailer, take to Vancouver, pickup a job, drop off close to your facility and drop of the trailer. Easy job, If you want me to take a trailer to Langley, Surrey or Chilliwack, please let me know.

Trailer that I rented was missing wire for lights on the trailer. Host was very rude. The rental was not booked on the day I wanted. Plus they charged me for 2 days instead of one. I'll be phoning consumer service canada and make the case againt this location.

No signage at the entrance. Location is way at the back in the corner with tiny little sign in the middle of all scrap metal junk. Took me 15 min to find the location and another 15 min to find key drop off box. Rather drive truck back to new west than dropping it off here in future.
