The service team did not seem very knowledgable of charges we would receive. When we asked how many miles we could drive the truck without being charged, the representative said that one-way drives have unlimited miles. This was not the case for us. They also said the gas tank of the truck was full. This was not the case, as it was 3/4 full when we started the truck. Also, they forgot to give us 12 moving pads. We realized this and went back inside to ask for them,

I was given a trailer with no brake lights. I had to preform an emergency fix after being flashed/ harassed by other drivers in the night. Also I was promised compensation upon return but now I don’t this company at all. If this turned out any differently a lawyer would be involved.

turck is very dirty and bad smell not clean Stuff is not trans they take too much time to fill information in the computer over all disrespect .

Maybe make sure the auto transport works before renting it out. The running lights went out about 2 hours into our trip from Pennsylvania to Florida and we were travelling at night in heavy rain. The cable was wrapped around most likely shorting out our lights.

This location added 10 miles to my trip that were supposed to be added to the expected usage. They were not and I had to pay extra for them. I requested the Horsham U-Haul when I reserved the truck but was forced to pick it up here.

Reservation was messed up due to technical issues. Manager had to redo all of it. The kid there was really polite but wasn't educated on the job. My best advice is to debug the system and someone please educate the employees properly on the equipment. Also turn the lights on so it actually looks like your open for business. The boxes in the waiting room is very uninviting. Either issue a display or put them away. Also the water leak in the east corner should be fixed. I returned the equipment and the clerk was in the waiting area on his phone. He looks like customer waiting in the dark for a car was.

Was over charged And now I’ll need to pay a $35 overdraft fee and have to wait 3-5 days to receive my money into my bank that I was charged that should not have been charged Also the mileage stated on the paperwork (out) Was wrong

Site needs Uhaul signage. Very difficult to find. Trailer had a used soda can in it at pickup. Chains were too long an not placed correctly. Tongue was not full locked down on ball.

We paid our bill, but came to find that today, 2/19/2020, they charged our card an additional $57.93. No invoice, no nothing. Now they are not answering their phone, so I will be contacting my bank to have the unauthorized funds returned. And I will not use that location again

Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had! Went on he U-Haul website and rented a truck and an appliance dolly a week ago and then I showed up to pick up my rental and was told that this location only rents trucks and does not have appliance dolly’s which is a big problem because the whole point of using U-Haul was I knew I could rent the dolly because I had two refrigerators and a washer and dryer to move! When I told your representative at the store this was a problem he laughed and said yes it is!! Why would know one call me and tell the appliance dolly was not available? I had to drive to a Home Depot and rent one plus the fact I had to pay the two people helping move an extra hour and a half because of this train wreck! I have always used U-Haul in the past but I’m done with your company you lost a customer!!!

U-Haul for this business is a secondary operation. Slow in processing my rental upon arrival - didn't bring the truck around - didn't care for 1/2 full tank of gas (I had to go fill before leaving town).

It took 45+ minutes to get my uhaul, I made a reservation online, called about picking up early due to incoming weather, was told it was no problem the truck was ready. Guy couldn’t figure out how to get it completed, messed up my deposit, and didn’t even give me the proper equipment. I got half a mile away before the truck died. Battery. Had it jumped and had to jump two more times in a few hours just to complete our move. When I dropped it off the guy told me I was in the wrong for not calling and he can’t be bother to deal with a dead battery. zero remorse. No apology for missing dolly. Nothing. Total jerk and WORST experience ever. I don’t even think I was charged right but to make it worse he barely spoke English so trying to battle him anymore is useless

The online check out process sucks. You should tell people about the verification process (another person vouching for you and having to wait on them answering a call from a rude uhaul employee) on the webpage, not the bottom of an email! Shame on your corporate greedmongerers for trying to cut workers out a job and laying it on the consumer. I’ll never rent from Uhaul again.

My truck was dirty when I got it. I cleaned it afterwards and still got hit with a cleaning fee. Returning the truck after hours was not well explained prior to dropping it off.

The only issue I had with the truck is that the back door was very hard to get up. This just needs to be fixed or greased. Other than that all was great!

Not in your control. I was promised a 5'x8' trailer and it was not returned by another customer. You cannot promise a rental if it's dependent on another customer's return, as they have the option of keeping it. Poor practice to do that. Fortunately there was a 4'x8' trailer available.

Honestly worst customer service experience ever. I mean it. I am not sure where exactly should I start from; hence will basically keep typing it. When we first arrived at the location which was clean and very well maintained. There were two teenage boys; that is what I could guess by their looks. One of the boy assisted us in the checkout process. He was successfully able to retrieve our reservation which was a 15ft Truck, 1 Furniture Dolly and 12 Furniture Pads along with a $14 insurance for a single day 24 hours rental. So meanwhile the owner comes and updates the boy that they do not have the furniture dolly available and move on with the reservation without it. He did not even bother to ask us. So I interrupted their conversation and asked them that we need a furniture dolly and we also got a confirmation email from Uhaul stating that all of those will be ready and guaranteed for our pick up. I showed him that email. He was like that is not going to help you. I mean how can he decide on what is going to help us or not in our move ? What does he know about our move apart from pick up and drop off location. So I asked him to transfer us to a different location where we can get all. Seriously I had to ask him to do; he was not willing to do it or at least try to help us. So he open a chat window and spoke with one of the Uhaul Rep and the rep updated that other location did not have a 15Ft truck. Meanwhile we also spoke with Uhaul customer service to help us and all the representative we spoke updated us that no 15Ft truck or Furniture Dolly was available. I have always picked Colmar PA location in past; but this time I wanted to try Lansdale PA location. How can Lansdale PA location blame everything on Uhaul where he himself supplies Uhaul trucks ? Even if that means they are authorized dealers. I understand that furniture dolly and among other such parts may or may not be available at times; than why does U-haul send a guaranteed confirmation ? Why did this person did not even apologies for once for his mistake ? There is more to this story; So finally me and my wife decided to get the truck and pads from Lansdale PA and will manage furniture dolly from some other location. This time when this person retrieved our reservation he behaved in such a way as if he did not want us to provide the truck and guess what this time he was forcing us to pick a $28 insurance vs $14 of what I had reserved for a single day 24 hours rental. I told him why are you behaving in such a way and I was frustrated by his behavior. I showed him my phone confirmation and he rudely shows me his monitor screen of $28 insurance option. I mean seriously. I asked him' Can you please try to help us' what is wrong with you ? First you do not have everything available for us and when we finally decide to get the truck you are asking us to choose a $28 insurance vs a $14 of what we had initially picked. He started shouting at me and we both got into an argument.

The location attendant helped me with the reservation and equipment pick up, but apparently he is not experienced with the rigging it up. While picking the vehicle the hook got unhooked , and the trailer hit the back of my vehicle and damaged the rear door . I got so frustrated and had to let the vehicle down and do the whole process again . Please train your people before renting the equipment. Or just say we don’t know how to rig it up.

Nothing. A+. Plenty of trucks on the lot, close to my house, hours are good, guy was friendly and efficient. Van was nearly brand new, less than 4,000 miles on it and it ran like a champ. Awesome job. My last two U-haul experiences were VERY good, I see considerable improvement from years ago.

I would not recommend using Uhaul at all. I was supposed to pick up my truck in Horsham at noon. When I went there i I was told that Uhaul called me at 11:05 AM ,which is untrue. I then had to drive to Lansdale, 12 miles in the opposite direction I needed to go and meet muy movers at 12:30. This sucks.

I only used to location because my original location did not contact me about how to obtain the van for which I had previously set up for reservation. That location was located at VAULT STORAGE on Church Road in Lansdale. I could not access that van. I needed to make three calls to customer service on Tuesday morning before I was able to obtain some information about what to do. Two of the calls were dropped while I was on hold! (This is unacceptable.) The 3rd time, the representative said that he would transfer the reservation to another location nearby, which he did. When we arrived at Team Blue Car Wash, there was no car vans available, so I had to take a truck van, which meant extra mileage rates than the car van. Also the location was closing at 5 pm and the rep told me to return the van before then. I was not able to make it, so dropped it off via the drop box for another additional fee. I plan on disputing both of these fees, as they were not in my original reservation. At about 9 am - two hours after I had planned to begin - the a truck van was finally in my possession from the Car wash vendor. It was not their fault that I had the trouble; it was U-Haul's lack of communication that caused this frustrating delay. I would NOT recommend U-haul rentals using the internet to anyone. It was totally screwed up. I am convinced that if you use U-Haul you have to do it in person. Overall my experience was unsatisfactory.

The employee was incredibly rude. And he was not helpful with any questions I had about dropping the equipment off. He had asked me to bring the auto transport back a day before I was scheduled to give to another customer. When I tried to arrange a time that worked for me(24 hrs before my rental was due back) he became rude and short with his responses when I couldn’t immediately bring back to the store at his preferred time. He scolded me for not attaching the auto transport correctly to the truck despite the fact that I had asked several times over the phone and in person for instructions on how to properly use the equipment. The only response I was given was to “read the pictures on the truck”. No one would give a demonstration or walk through prior to pick up. When I told him this he simply rolled his eyes and provided no verbal feedback or apology. I will not ever use U-Haul for anything more than a short move and I would not recommend anyone who does not know how to hook up a tow to rent a auto transport from here. It’s dangerous to hook up a piece of equipment you plan to drive on the highway for 100s of miles with no real instructions on how to hook it up. Hands down would rather pay more money to another company to help with my moving needs.

Get a better system with location pick up. It was a disaster and I ended playing phone tag for THREE hours on moving day. I ended up with a van instead of a truck and the situation should have never occured. It was the worst form of communication with a company and its very last minute and dosorganized. The staff where i ended up getting the van were accomodating the best they could be but the entire uhaul reserving process was a mess. It would be nice to get some money refunded.

The photos on record are probably when the vehicle was new a d do resemble the current condition. The inside (back) was not broom clean but they took care of it immediately.
