My first time picking up a vehicle with the self check in. Can be a little confusing navigating the app and picking up the vehicle. With that said. Uhaul should vet the neighbor pick up locations a little better. I first tried to pick up the vehicle from 164 05 Union turnpike, fresh meadows ny. The customers I received from the attendant there was probably the worst I have ever experienced. I know its not Uhaul and their employees per se but they still represent Uhaul. The actually Uhaul representatives I did speak to on the phone to help resolve my issue and set up my rental at another location was great.

Whoever had the truck before me, must have done a demolition job. All of my household items are now covered in a white powered. In no way shape or form was that truck sanitized from the drivers seat. I will never ever rent a truck from you again and will share my experience about how nasty it was
Truck was very old and beat up. It also had the check engine light on

Worst experience ever First of all I reached there at 7:40 am And its was pouring raining all day And I was doing the self pick up and following the uhaul app instructions Could not get the back lock open Finally when they worker showed up at 9:00 am My husband went to him and told him we could not get the lock open He told my husband he will come and help and we had to wait another 25 min Because he started helping another customer Finally The worker came and help open the lock And he made it see like its was so easy Later on my husband drop back the uhaul And the next day we received the bill Which states my bill had a additional 25.00 charge because it had foot prints Like I said it was pouring raining all day And when I called to see if we can work something out Because we would need to rent back a uhaul I was informed he can not do anything for us and how he gets payed 12.00 dollars and he had to mop the truck So thank you TH&G But no I will not be coming back

It seem that the car trailer pin came off while bringing to the drop off location and the piece came off several times i had to reposition the plate so i wouldn't lose it in travel
I was referred to this location after the original location 149-12 97th Avenue cancelled on the same day at the time I was scheduled to pick up the truck. That was very unprofessional to actually be at the pick up place and get a call that it was not available.
Dirty car, food leftovers inside cabin not working A/C with 90F outside.
Overall very satisfied with uhaul.

The original location I was supposed to pick the trailer up from called the day before and stated that the vehicle to transport it would not be available at the location but I could pick it up for miles down the road this was OK because when I contacted the other location I was able to go and pick the transporter up earlier but the representative did not have Internet access the computer would not except my information or except The rental agreement so the rental agent did everything on his cell phone which gave him access to my personal information this is considered to me very very poor service on the side of U-Haul not having a system together so my information would not be given to the rental agentJust wanted to let corporate know I will be sending a letter or emailing corporate concerning my personal information drivers license and etc. poor service

my location was changed 1hour prior to my pick up reservation and it was significantly further away from where I has chosen my first location. I also never received the moving blankets after i specifically asked the rep over the phone if she had made sure this new location was fully aware of what i has asked for and she assured me she did, but of course it was not. I also was not prompted to check in online until 30min after my reservation which means i had to come in contact with a person during this whole social distancing period. Overall very poor organization from Uhaul.
To pick up yard was muddy which made the interior of the vehicle very muddy and dirty

I arrived on time and waited for the owner while waiting someone else came and was also waiting on him the process was tedious without needing to be hours into the moving process (Tyrone) the owner called wanting to know when would i be finished he explained no the truck wasn't due back at that time but there was an emergency another truck had broken down and he needed my truck to help out this customer the first amount of money taken from my account after the return of the truck was $63.37 then two days ago he went back and took yet another $86.88 making the total for my 12 hour rental close to $200.00 never again good luck guys renting U-Haul in the hood can be dangerous.
The owner for this location was very nice and explained the entire renting procedure in detail and what is expected! I will recommend this location to family and friends
I hope in future,the agent at this location should contact the renter,if any item is forgotten/ left in the truck before disposing such items. Such forgotten item might be important and valuable to the renter.
The parking lot that's about it. Everything great, service vehicle, owner definitely returning and recommending to my friends.
Checking in took longer to verify which meant that the time we had to use the truck was less.
I think that a better computer intake system needs to be put in place to speed up- intake information- it takes a bit too long to get the system to process the rental.

I was the first and only one there when I went to pick up the truck , the guy take my license and card to start the rental , right after someone else came in and the rental guy give me back my license and card and said I should wait cause this guy is a regular , his transaction take like half an hr cause he had to call someone else to get there card information and address , I taught it was first come first served. The truck was very nasty when I picked it up, when driving the truck rev very high and hardly moving. think this truck was not service for a long time I drove less than 30 Miles and put $50 in gas, I rent it for 24 hrs but it was causing me alot in gas so I had t returning and go rent from budget, when I returned the truck no one was there for me to complain to , about and hr after I got a cal saying that they will charge me cleaning fee ,the truck wasn't clean in the first place, to be honest I think I should get a refund, this will be my first and last rental from that location

Owner wasn't present on return to discuss issue left a child in charge and text me talking about I owe him $2 ....$2 for cleaning after I'm already charged $30 for cleaning. All they have to do is spray water. I owe him $2 still ....1 cent a day!
The truck was clean but it had a terrible smell inside the cabin. At the location the gentleman was kind enough to Lysol and air freshener but it still did not remove the smell.
Location was easy to find. The owner was very professional and friendly. Took the time to explain the policy how to return the vehicle and certain operation mechanisms I should be aware of. Overall good experience. Will definitely be a repeat customer and refer my friends.
The trucks
The guy who got me in the van was prompt. Everything was a smooth transaction and he was very nice. I'd recommend to anyone interested in getting a uhaul from this location.
