It was unfortunately a pretty bad experience. Beyond the fact that it took nearly an hour to rent the van after our scheduled pick up time, they charged me for gas even though I had filled the tank with more fuel than it had when I rented it. I showed them the receipt but they still haven't dealt with it. The whole experience felt like a giant scam.

Everything was as expected expected delay on reception I had to wait line outside with a freezing cold -30° C for more than 1/2 an hour if you could adjust that was good. Second thing I filled the gas the way it was even more and I have been charged on my bill again for gas???????

Two (of the four) tires on the trailer were dangerously underinflated. One failed entirely. Trailer brakes did not work properly. Roadside assistance unable to help. Had to replace the tire and rim at my own expense. Has to be said the reimbursement process was simple and reimbursement was basically immediate. These failures cost me a day of time and expenses. This was not reimbursed.

Try making sure the truck has 2 working windshield wipers! One was completely missing!! Doesn't feel good driving in a snowstorm not being able to see out the windshield!! Attendant completely unhelpful. Can only repeat call customer service. Has been a week haven't heard from anybody. Expect poor service from uhaul but this is an all time low in every way.

Excellent customer service at 1355 Gerrard Street location. It was snowing on our rental days and equipment was clean. 1800 uhaul contact and app online service needs improvement as original pickup location got changed without clarification. We were not successful in returning truck via app as well (had to call in (long wait), submitted pictures via email)

First off, I booked a U-Haul at a location directly across from my house only to find out that I need to drive a few miles/kilometres to another location. Once I arrive at the location, the clerk didn't show up until 9:45 a. while there were 3 other customers waiting for their rentals, all for 9:30. The lot and location look like a trash heap and if I am forced to return to this location again, I'd considered canceling, this place is a total dump. The clerk behind the counter couldn't be bothered to get up and show me where the truck was or run through a spot/safety check, instead he said it's two spots over, meaning in another lot, look for the truck number. "If the mileage and fuel levels match, you're good to go!" Are you not concerned about damage to the vehicle? I did my own circle check and will be calling U-Haul to complain should I be charged with any additonal charges. He placed a hold for $140,98 on my card and told me that it would be refunded... I have a feeling that I'll be calling to dispute this charge in the coming days. I understand that the ultimate goal here is for more money in your pockets, however, this clerk and this location are ruining your name.

Booked reservation a week ago with confirmation. Showed up and was told I was at the wrong location and to walk 100 yards in the snow. After realizing we were in fact at the right location we went back, which is when they told us they didn't have any trucks for one way (at least 10-15 in the parking lot btw) and forced us to cancel and rebook a new reservation or miss our elevator booking (which had a non refundable $180 charge) so we were forced to take it. When we arrived back at the location there was a uhaul parked in the middle of the entrance so we had to park up the street and hoping everything works out. I had to pay for a Uber back to Brampton from Toronto because of this and was forced to rush everything due to their negligence. All around terrible experience.

The location itself was fine, and the truck was good. However, I was switched locations and not notified about this change. It resulted in me going to the wrong location (via an expensive Uber) and having to arrange childcare during an already stressful move. Customer service didn't notify me of this change, and Nish - the man who I spoke to last - was quite rude about it. I'd like to be contacted to speak further about this. I am deeply disappointed in the customer service, and will not be recommending UHAUL to anyone in my life.

It was okay, but definitely clean better please, there was coffee cups and a used surgical mask in my van. Also my horn didn't work at all. The customer service was good though. But your reservation system could use work, it wasn't very clear or easy to find the right type of vehicle online with the correct hours of availability, though I did eventually manage.

Horrible service. Quite a joke actually. I booked a 20' because it said AVAILABLE. Two days before my move I get a call saying that there is only 15' available and I have to return the truck back to Gerrard st (east Toronto) when I requested originally to drop off near my house in Mississauga. Then I get charged extra for gas because I had to make multiple trips. Thanks for the “service”, never again uhaul.

This location charged me a fee for a late drop off but I was only late due to U-Hauls error with my reservation. If I didn't have to spend so much time traveling around picking up equipment I would have been on time. U-Haul needs to better link their online platform with the actual stores. Also, I should have received compensation for this major inconvenience.

It may not look like much from the street, but the service at this centre was excellent. When a small 'hitch' developed with the trailer I rented, prior to departure, I was provided with an alternate immediately without need to wait while paperwork was redone. I was assisted with hookup before leaving, and with disconnect and parking the trailer on return. An excellent experience!

It took over 45 minutes, waiting in line and registering to get the vehicle. Also, the earliest slot was 10 a.m., which is very late.

This pickup location is not well set up for online check-in and pickup. I arrived and completed the online check-in. I received a combination for the key box but there was no key in the lock box. I had to wait for an employee to check something in his computer and give me the key. There were several people in front of me in line so I ended up waiting about 20 minutes to pick up the truck.

Speed up the 'getting your users' signed up and on their way. I arrived at 10 a.m. for my rental. There were three clients in front of me. There were four clients behind me, all of whom had 10 a.m. reservations. . I was eventually processed at 10:40 a.m. My estimate is that the last of the 10 a.m. appointments would not have got on the road until at least 11:15 a.m. TOO SLOW!

STOP TRYING TO CHEAT CUSTOMERS!!!! I received a second invoice that overcharged on the total kilometres. When I was having difficulty with my new iphone trying to use your app, he had me use his phone, and made me sign, what I thought was just a rental agreement, not a final invoice. I checked out on the app upon returning vehicle and have a copy of that invoice. I really feel that what he did was deceitful and a deliberate attempt to scam me for more money.

The change of my reservation 24 hrs before my rental start time to 24/7 Truckshare was a unsettling, since I did not have a fully charged and data enabled smartphone. Hence I lost the first hour of my rental time before I could access the truck. An earlier communication would be preferred to avoid unnecessary stress for you customers. A real person at the rental office always beats the automated process.

The staff at this location were amazing!! Above and beyond!! He backed the truck up and parked it for us ....so thankful for that. We have used Uhaul many times and never had any issue !! Always good service always clean and ready truck for us

I had to wait 30 minutes for the trailer because it was in transit at the time I had it booked for pick-up. I never got a message from U-Haul saying it was delayed by 30 min on the day I was going to pick it up. Trailer worked out just fine.

The gentleman behind the desk was very helpful when I had experienced problems with the online check in. The vehicle was quite untidy inside, which was really only a minor issue. I had a problem returning the vehicle as the car parks were full, but managed to squeeze the van into a spot eventually. Overall I would use this location again

To provide the service according to the reservation, and allow the truck to be returned to a different place. You changed the location of the pick up and I also needed to return it in Newmarket and after I had booked like that, a week before you told me no. Horrible phone service, you do not answer the phone, I waited for 1 hour and was not able to talk to anybody.

We used 24/7 mobile pick up option. Cons: Ended up running around looking for the van. Would be better if they included thr exact location of the van! One more big issue is parking, if you want to leave your own car there. Pros: Contactless pick up/drop off Flexibility

Explain the return procedure a little more clearly. Maybe have some dollies on hand for last minute requests (our fault for not booking but ours fell through last minute). Uhaul interior was not very clean, seats were ok but dash had a lot of grime. Pickup went very smoothly though.

I'll use UHaul again. It all worked out fine. The website and even responding to texts was as glitchy as can be. Need some work there. I'd just go to the location rather than use the web next time.

I arrived at 10:45 for m 11am reservation but didn't get into the vehicle till 11:20 because the employee at the counter left for a while. Don't have employees leave when there is a queue already and customers who have existing reservations. Also have your gas tanks full. Your system of having tanks at various levels makes it impossible for customers to properly gauge when refilling. This will require us to overfill, spend too much time at the pumps refilling or slightly underfill. This system does not work.

I was very happy with the rental of the cargo van and the nice fellow who took care of everything for me.. My reservation was lost at the Parliment St. location because the previous customer did not return the van on time, but the lady there responded quickly by finding a van at the Gerrard St. location...she was very kind. Thanks for the great rental rate - everything turned out well. I may be calling again next spring for another van rental.

Tire was low on pressure. It's a mess over there. I dropped off my keys after hours and was told to just drop them in the dropbox, only to learn that the guy in the office wasn't actually working at the UHaul location and I wasn't able to record the kilometers.
