We booked our trucks one week ahead of time and at around closing time this Uhaul location they called us to say they would not have one of the truck for us. The person mumbled some kind of reason such as a maintence issue. They did not even try to find us an alternative through another branch. I rented a van from Parliament street but had to pick the van at the box shop location. They calculated the mileage from the box shop instead of parliament street which is totally unfair to customers as my a distance was less than one kilometer to go initially. Most of the kilometers done were just to go get the van.francois L.

This location needs to be shut down. I've already filed complaints to head office. No one did a walk around of the truck. They didn't sanitize as they told Me â€œsomeone dropped it off 5 minutes before you got hereâ€ and there were parking tickets in the window. The alignment is severely off that you need to pull left to go straight to the point where the wheel looks like you're turning on a sharp turn. The truck fishtailed and if I hadn't been a good Driver it would've got totalled on the way home as there was ice and slush on the roads. I need a full refund because this was an awful experience and and extremely dangerous. I'm pretty sure I could sue at this point.Ananda P.

We had a tire blow on our rented trailer as we went north. Apparently an â€œold tireâ€. We were up in northern Ontario at 10:00pm on the side of the road. We called the u haul line and we're back on the road with a new tire in just under 3 hours at no extra cost. Yes the blown tire was inconvenient but U haul being able to help us in the dead of night north of Bancroft was pretty impressive. Merci.KURTA U.

After inquiring how long does it take for the deposit check to be issued, I was verbally told that my deposit would be issue by check within 4 to five days. Then, they send me a receipt that specified the deposit check will be issued 4 to 6 weeks. What major company such as Uhual takes that long to issued a returned deposit check?????? Who????? Stop telling clients that the check will be issued within days. Then write a receipt stating otherwise. Crappy customer service. I will call back this week or even better come in to the store in person to clarify this with the person that lied to me.Herty G.

The van was completely messy. Dirty cargo area and cab. The brakes were in an unsafe condition to the point that the van wobbled whenever breaking over 40 kph. I should not have paid for this rental.Michael W.

Hi, I booked the Uhaul for 2p.m. and they called and told me that they were closed between 1:30 and 2:30 so I had to rush there They sent me with a printout contract stating that the gas line was above full but when I got into the vehicle and started to drive I noticed that the gas line was just below half (which I returned it at ) but got charge $39,72 of gas surcharge The truck was sticky and dirty, I had lysol wipe it down when I got home I called twice to inform them of the issues and they never answered They charged me for Safe Move ($15) but I said I didn't want it Please help me to rectify this situation - thank you! contract #: 24969236April C.

Uhaul decided, without calling me, to change my pickup location. I tried checking in and noticed it was the wrong location, and then it switched my drop off location as well. Customer service didn't help at all, but at least I had to pay extra for my Uber to go pick up the truck. Not thrilled at all. Too bad Uhaul is basically the only cheap truck rental service so unfortunately I will have to use Uhaul again. Was not impressed, especially as a customer for more than 7 years. Very courteous staff, but shocked at the cost of renting this truck for 5 hours. After being told that the first 100 km are free, I was charged for 25 km. Advertising trucks for $19,95 and ending up paying $89 is disappointing.Volker H.

Every time I arrive there is a line up for pick up and one person working. We're all booked at the same time. It's under staffed for the number of trucks booked because many trucks require staff to reverse them. They also forgot my dolly and allowed me to book a pick up before the location was open and then wouldn't allow me a remote pick up so I had to wait until they opened to get my truck. Pick up location was changed without notification and I was sent to 3 different location for something I had reserved. When I picked it up, the truck was dirty and the fuel light was already on with less than a quartet tank. All and all, a very frustrating experience.Biniam W.
We ordered truck to pick up at this location and return in Ajax for much higher price. Two days before we got a phone call that we can not do that and they will give me free 200 km and I have to return to the same location. Waste of gas and my time (very pricy). Location is very confusing had to search for truck as they have 2 parking lots and no information by the office whatsoever. Had to call main line. After another 1 hr lost. We could not retrieve key from box #1 as the code from internet did not work. After another phone call someone come at 9am and told us that there is another box #1 . Instead of 7 am we got from there at 9:30. I would love to attach picture of the padlocks. Unacceptable. Very poor planning and customer service.Barbara M.
