The location for the rental was changed the night before. The truck had no gas in it, it had about 1/8 of a tank. Furthermore, the cabin was all dirty and the check engine light was on. This was a very frustrating way to start a long move day.Nicolas B.

Very filthy rental cargo van. Have to clean it up prior to use it. Lots of garbage, left over stuff. Plus on contract there was 3/4 full gas tank but when I picked it up, only 1/4 left. Really gross place, need to clean up "office". There was a crack on the windshield.Franck B.

I was overcharged. I returned the truck cleaner than from what I was given yet I was charged a cleaning fee. Additionally, I was charged an extra 19 litters of gas. I returned the truck with 1/8 tank. The tank holds 155 litters of gas. 1/4 tank is 39 litters. 1/8 tank is 19 litters. I was charged for 38 litters. That means they claimed I returned the truck with 1 litter of gas. I have the picture of the gas gauge. If 1/8 tank equals 1 litter then the tank would only hold 8 litters! U-Haul has not assisted me in rectifying this. It's absolutely ridiculous. I have spent hours trying to fix this but instead they charged me a late payment fee even after I tried to pay this. It's a big joke. DON'T RETURN EQUIPMENT HERE!!!JeanMarc B.
I have been trying to settle a gross overcharge and have had no help whatsoever on a previous return. I returned the truck cleaner than when I picked it up but was charged a cleaning fee. I was overcharged for 19 litters of gas. U-Haul has not helped me. Poor service all around.Jean-Marc B.

Very disatisfied with my experience this time around with U-Haul at this location. Was supposed to pick up the truck at 9:00am on August 06, 2022. When i got to the pick up location, there was no one work there to give me the keys to the truck. The owner of the business partnered with U-Haul had sent a friend to tell us he was on his way. After 30 min of waiting, i started to get impatient and asked where the owner was where i was told that i could either wait or go somewhere else. I had to wait until 9:45am (and make the moving crew wait as well) until someone showed up to serve me and give me the truck. During my inspection, there was blood smeared on the inside door panel that i had to clean myself, isnt the U-Haul provider supposed to ensure the trucks are clean before renting? Totally disgusting!! We returned the truck for 4:26pm same day and once again no one was there so we dropped the keys in the drop off box. When we received the finalized bill, we were charged DOUBLE the mileage we used plus a after hours fee when we had returned the truck before 6:00pm. This brought our bill to $234 instead of roughly $150.00. How does this location get away with such horrible customer service and ways of functioning/disorganisation. If you are proposed to pick your truck up at this location, ask for litteraly anywhere else.Bradley L.
The vehicle was a lil dirty inside but nothing serious. I don't understand why it costs $122,74? I was under milage, under time limit requested, had no dolly which I preordered at an extra cost, and I even brought it back with extra fuel.Fabian B.

I have rented cargo van 9 and the mealage I drived was about 18 miles(29 killometers) that gasolin consumption would be about 1 galon(3,78 litr) while in the bill the fuel charge is calculated 11 litre!!!! How could this be possible?? Considering the consumption of only less than 4 litr, the gasolin tank was not less a quarter of capacity so i should not pay for extra fuel service fee of 30$ . I insist that the mistake to be corrected as soon as possible. I am waiting for the refund.Milad J.

Make it clear that when you return the unit, you are not expected to stick around. When returning any rental car, you do a hand-off and walk-around, and at this location they do that later without you being present which I found a bit weird.Philippe C.
Short story: Equipment ok,service poor. Long story: When I arrived on location, there were no one behind the front desk. It wasn't until after 5 minutes that a mechanic from the garage came in asking if I had been served. After I replied no, he told another employee that was behind a curtain not even 5 feet away if he had notice my presence, which he had not. Confirming the booking was then fine, no issues. For the trailer hook up, no walk around were done, the employee had issues with the hook up, I provided assistance but then he just left and I finish the hook up myself. I did the lights check all alone and once I was ready to leave, he asked if I needed more help which I said no. The trailer did satisfied my need. All went well from an equipment perspective. After returning the trailer less then 3 hours later at 1:15pm, I was greeted by a sign in the window that said returning in 15 minutes. I waited for 35 minutes then decided to call the number of the business. The person answered, I explained that I was on site to return the trailer and he said just un hook it and leave it where you found it and we will send the receipt via email. No disconnection help. Other U-Haul location have done all the hook ups and disconnection. I will not use this location again and will not recommend to anyone.Charles P.

When you cancel with short notice honour the original price. Paid triple what I was supposed to die to the round trip trailer being canceled for an unknown reason and nothing being available nearby in the time frame required. I was told I could drop the trailer at any uhaul location. That apparently only meant uhaul buildings not ANY uhaul location.Eric S.

Employee had difficulty communicating, language issues. Pickup location charged us for insurance even though we specifically declined online. They did not provide contract at pickup employee only had a cellphone. Only noticed insurance when they emailed receipt. They would not correct so are communicating with Uhaul customer service to get a refund.Barrie M.

I said yes about recommending this location to a friend, however I must note that the UHaul representatives had mistakenly given my 15' truck to another customer, fortunately they had 2 other 15' trucks available. The issue was that I had to wait almost an hour for things to get sorted out. Overall not a bad place.Mazen E.

Truck had 1/8 of tank remaining, the contract they printed showed 1/4, girl told me last customer brought it back low made the change on the copy she gave me told me to take a picture which I did. Did not sign contract as it was incorrect. Return was scheduled for 8:30 pm returned truck at 7:58pm took pictures with time stamp and location of mileage and fuel level. returned truck at 1/4 tank. next day get a charge of over 400$ saying late return and returned with less fuel then indicated. checked their online reviews this is something they do on a regular basis. awaiting u-haul customer service to sort out the charges. i know standards are not high to be a dealer but when they are scamming your customers maybe they shouldn't be a dealer???joel P.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! U-Haul should stop doing business with this location immediately. The employee at the front desk had no idea how to complete the rental process and had to talk to someone else on the phone. It took a VERY long time to get the truck. He could not even find the key... The dolly and over half of the blankets requested were not available. The truck was dirty and covered with snow. The tank was barely a quarter full. All in all, an absolutely EXECRABLE service. I don't think I am not going to rent a truck again with U-Haul.JEAN-PHILIPPE L.

I booked a 20â€ for this location because it was 5km far from where I live, Uhaul first sent me an email on the day before to say I have to go 35km to pick it up. I proposes to take a 15â€ but on this location. They confirmed I can take it using my phone. I went there at 7am and nothing, someone come at 8h and didnt want to let me take it . I called the customer service and by magic my first order was there a 20â€ truck that you can pick up using your phone, the agent was really nice and re-book it for the 3 time but surprise you can not pick it using the phone. We need to wait for the boss ok. Anyway, the best thing was the last agent that stayed with me for more than an hour until we fixed it. But really deceived by the errors the system did 3 times.Youssef A.

Hi, I rent the trailer and I have the issues with the lights, it means the lights not working. When I made the reservation I wanted to have a good service. I was exposed to the risk to have a fine if I got stopped by police. It's truth that they me informed when I took the trailer that issue and they can't give to me in this condition but I accepted because I had already planned something to transport and it was too late for cancel. I expected everting to be fine but SURPRISE. For me it was a bad experience to work with U-HAUL and to pay for a bad service. When i picked up the trailer the back was very hard to shut he had to take a hammer to lick the handle , there was another trailer the same 6x12 in is yard i wanted to take that one cause it seemed in better shape but he didn't want to . I would welcome the opportunity to discuss directly with a corporate member of U-Hall Corporation my concerns about the proprietor of the U-Hall pick-up location (Gatineau Quebec)....the manager of the service station was extremely rude and combative....had I not really needed to have the U-Hall truck that day, I would have cancelled my reservation and sought a new one with another rental agency.Brook B.
Staff who served me could not speak French (mandatory in QuÃ©bec). Gas tank was empty and no one explain how gas usage worked. I was charge way to much for gas.
