I was originally picking up in Holbrook at 7am and 1-2 days prior I was told that the truck was in for repairs and was sent to Patchogue to pick up at 8am. I got there and was told that I couldn't be given the truck. The person who signs them out was not in due to a family tragedy and there was no one else who knew how to sign them out. So my wife and I called the Holbrook location and after about 20 minutes on the phone they got everything figured out and we were able to get the truck. We then had to drive to the Holbrook location to pick up the equipment we bought ahead of time as the Patchogue location did not have it. So I do not recommended the Patchogue location unless you want to be put behind and deal with not knowing what you are getting. Thank god for Dustin at the Holbrook location for getting everything figured out and having great customer service.

I also did not receive the moving blankets I ordered which resulted in a lot of damage to my personal belongings as I had nothing to protect them with. It also began to pour for hours and without the blankets, my things got soaked and brand new rugs dirty as I had nothing to lay down.

Stephen B.I made a reservation for a different location with a different size truck with a "100 % Guarantee," and was called the day before my move telling me they didn't actually have that truck, but could give me a smaller one from a different location further from my home. They assured me I still had the equipment I rented. I took the smaller truck because it was the day before my move and I didn't have a choice. I got to the new location for the smaller truck and they tell me they don't have any of the equipment I had ordered. I had to drive 25 minutes to another Uhaul location to separately rent the equipment. No one was apologetic, no one offered anything other than 30 extra miles on the truck, which I didn't need anyway. All around terrible experience with the company, though the location itself had nothing to do with it.

I took a picture of gas level after the truck had been driven one mile - it was 5/8 of a tank and supposed to have been 7/8th. I drove the truck eleven miles - put 10 dollars gas in which filled it back up to little more than 3/4 tank. I showed picture to the guy that rented me the truck - he said he'd take care of it but then charged me for 16 dollars worth of gas! WILL NEVER RENT FROM THAT LOCATION AGAIN.

Scott M.I reserved a uhual for one location at at 9:30. Had to go to another location at 11:30. Then when I was told they didn't have a truck for me either I had to go to a third town for 1:30. Finally getting a truck 5 hours late on my move in day. I had movers and cable provider expected to come and had to move everything around. I cant believe I had to pay a single penny.

My friend told me to park there because he sees U-Haul there all the time. If not for him I wouldn't have thought it was okay to park there. Other than that no issues

SEAN W.I was a little upset that it was $1,39 a mile for a Saturday pick up when I was told to pick it up on Saturday because they were closed Sunday. On your website it said $.99 a mile. But other then that everything was fine.

I live in this area, and there isn't much space. They said they dont get many of these 5x8 trailers anyhow. The small area is the only reason I don't recommend it and it is nothing against Tomar Automotive, just a fact of Main St. in Patchogue.
