***do not do business here*** Horrible customer service, this is a liquor store and should not be providing your services! I had to wait about 30mins for someone to check me in and give me the key. Once this person arrived he couldn't even type his account password on the computer and after 90min he gave up and told me his system was down. I got charged and â€œdispatchedâ€ for a truck that I didn't even touched!!!!! Please do not let people like this represent you, it's just bad business. They even referred me to Home Depot when I got greeted so I didn't have to wait for the person in charged of the u-haul services.Jose G.

This whole experience was a really poor representation of U-Haul. I went to the place I had reserved the truck. I was told there was no truck for me although I had the confirmation number and date. Then I was told my truck was at a smoke shop. This was a really dirty unpleasant atmosphere to be in. The person who was behind the counter actually acted like he was annoyed that he had to help me. His clothing & hair looked dirty & rumpled. He then told me there was no truck reserved and no others available anywhere. However I didn't leave I stayed and told him I had my confirmation number etc. again. Quesadilla with no trucks coming in and so there wasn't going to be one available. Mind you, I had reserve the truck several days before at the original U-Haul location. I had people waiting at my house to help me and people waiting outside that had given me a ride there. Finally after about 15 minutes of him fiddling with the computer & going in the back, he told me the truck was outside. No apology of course. I will definitely be looking at a few rental truck company the next time I need one. I thought you always reputable but this was very pathetic. The people that were helping me were also really put off by the whole scenario.SEAN C.

I reserved Uhaul and there was no Uhaul. I waited over an hour. I had to pay movers extra money and the truck felt like it was running up hill. It was swallowing gas like crazy. The person at reservation site double booked my Uhaul. He charged the man before me for 2 days. Basically the rental was super late. Very disappointed! Then the man who gave someone else my reservation tried making me feel bad that he was stressed yet I had people waiting for me. This was a very unprofessional site. My email reservation / online profile upon check-in showed TWO different pick-up locations in Stockton; neither of these addresses were correct. When I called Tower Zone over the phone and finally arrived in person, I received poor customer service - the employees were rude to me, and one was on the phone with a friend speaking in Arabic during our whole interaction. I was supposed to pick up my uhaul at 11am. When I arrived I had to wait almost a half hour for the person to arrive that deals with uhaul rentals. Other than that it was fine.Elizabeth S.
Outside the owner, the other two employees there were not helpful. One in particular didn't even pay me any attention and only gave me one word replies when I asked about uhaul rental availability and when I'd be able to take the rental out. His indifference was very obvious as he engaged minimally and went about doing other activities as I kept trying to ask him for details on their rentals. It was very frustrating. Also, I couldn't rent out the truck I wanted until the owner showed up because only the owner had the password to their laptop. There needs to be a definite change to the way customer service is provided at this location. One of the worst experiences I've had in customer service.ADONAI S.
Worker helped three/four customers that came in after me and told me to go stand â€œover thereâ€. While he took my DRIVERS LICENSE he was eating and spitting seeds out and grabbing them with his hands touching my driver's license with that same hand. The gas he put down on the contract was wrong and now I'm being charged for gas when I put gas in it before I returned it to put the gas gauge where it was when I received it!! I talked to the cashier that was there and he barely understood English and he said he had to call the other guy to come check me out. I waited for almost and hour for the guy to come. The truck I ordered was not available. I called in advance and the manager wasn't there and the guy behind the counter didn't know where he was, I waited for over 30 minutes and then got charged an excessive fee for gasoline - which is especially inappropriate as I went to the first location where I had the reservation and UHaul had moved me to a different location without telling me. I estimated 50 when I picked up the uhaul for one day I take the van back today this morning at 8am I get charged for 65 miles plus gas and sun contractor know extremely well that the gas was at a certain right below half tank he clearly steals from his customers I do not recommend this sun contractor to no one as well as the van was disgusting I took it through the car was my self when I received I'm still awaiting the investigation of Corprate due to the subcontractor swindle of customers and extremely poor customer service he talks to fast rushes you also acts like you do not understand numbers and the value of your own bank account and mileage as I stated to the representative earlier I will take this sun contractor to court due to his actions with no hesitationQUENTIN D.

Representative who managed usual rentals was NEVER onsite and I would constantly have to wait upwards of an hour on each occasion for this person to show up. When they weren't there I was told by other staff that they would be back shortly, after waiting for 30 mins on one occasion I asked when they would be arriving. The store computer was not working and it took the attendant more than 30 min to try to get it to work and he couldn't. Then he tried to use his phone to sign me in for the cargo van and couldn't also. The attendant asked me to enter by own information on his phone and when it didn't work again he called his boss and I had to provide my credit card info via the phone in front of other customers. The owner over the phone asked me if I wanted insurance coverage and I told him twice that I didn't, told the attendant once that I didn't, and when I rented the truck online I chose also I didn't want it but I was charged 24 $dollars for insurance anyway. When I went to check the cargo van it was dirty and with marks and I tried to take pictures saying I didn't agree with the picture of the truck and the attendant told me not to put anything otherwise he would be in trouble. The boss over the phone threatened me a few times saying if the truck was dirty he would charge me 100 $dollars. If the gas wasn't where they left he would charge 100 $dollars. It took me almost an hour to get the truck what normally takes no more than 5-7 min at the U-Haul facility on Tam O Shanner, Stockton. Horrible customer service. I would never recommend it to a friend nor ever go back there and after sending them an email to get the insurance coverage that I never ordered, they never contacted me back. I'd like to have my 24 $dollars back please.Marcelo B.

Uhaul was is serious need of service. Front end vibrated severely to where spilled my drinks and caused severe road fatigue. Cab had a strong odor of marijuana upon entering it. Rear of truck smelled of exhaust and/or petroleum. I ended up having to pay more for truck rental due to not having a one-way option available. So I had to drive additional miles to return. I would remove all my equipment from this location. They were rude and no one spoke English. They had to call a guy to do the order over the phone and I don't know he was. No contract or receipt was given. They did not even know they had a unit out side. It needed a tire and they told me to call u haul or leave the trailer. This is the worst I have ever seen. There was what appeared to be a pee stain in the car. There was a gross sticky substance on the belt that pulls the back door of the truck closed. I was late to my appointment but so was the car that was reserved for me. Also I still haven't recieved my reciept that was was supposed to be emailed and/or texted to me. The staff there were not helpful and were deliberately not wanting to assist us with getting the keys. They didn't have the moving blankets that we had ordered. But what really was frustrating was uhaul changing the location and the truck that we had ordered weeks ago the night before. That completely derailed our schedule as we had flown out to California for the weekend to move the furniture. You had over two weeks to inform us that the truck and location that we rented weren't available. Moving is stressful enough but the additional stress of having the location and smaller truck, and time! Was unnecessary.Sora C.

We rented a one-way truck, well in advance. We arrived, with hired movers, and we were told that there were no one way trucks available. We were forced to take the truck available, meaning that we had to pay more and amassed, between the truck and the car that followed the truck, 450 miles! 150 of them at 99 cents a mile and GAS for the truck and car. I am disputing the extra cost but to be told by customer service that we could cancel or take what was there and pay the extra is seriously unacceptable and frustrating.Tamela J.

I can't say anything because my friend was the one who talked to the girl I just rented it. The lady who I dealt with is always very friendly and I go to the store for my cigarettes. The 3706 E. Hammer Ln. location was very average but difficult to complete the transaction for 2 reasons. The smoke shop store activity Kept interrupting the U-Haul experience, and the computer system was agonizing in that the rep couldn't get online. Combined this added about 45 minutes of delays. However by itself, this would have been ok as the lady was helpful. My big issue and the reason I'd give U-Haul a negative review is because of my experience at the 450 N. Cherokee, Lodi, CA location. I was trying to rent a hauler for a kit car race car. The maximum weight of the car is perhaps 1200-1500 pounds since the car in not fully constructed yet. I've towed these kits with U-Haul equipment in the past but since the girl couldn't find the vehicle â€œmanufacturerâ€ (Port City) in your computer she was unable to complete the transaction and tried to turn me away. I'd driven about 80 miles to pick up this unit because local (Concord) U-Haul had no haulers available. Your 2 attendants lacked the experience and expertise to complete the transaction and had to send me to the E. Hammer Ln. location TO GET THE SAME FUCKING TRAILER I'd reserved. The entire episode cost me nearly two hours and great frustration. Unbelievable experience!Roy B.
