The check-in and return process was easy and efficient.
Damian WebbReally really bad bad Customer service . Both Indian lady n the Indian guy were very rude. They don't know how to talk to a customer. That job is not suitable for them. They gave the truck not in good condition, got shut down 3times in middle of the road n check engine light got on . I won't recommend this location to anyone.
Eddie BorgesToday is March 20 and I rented from the little Patuxent Parkway location 10141. There was a miscommunication on my end, and the person working. The U-Haul service was very disrespectful to me and would not give me his name. He told me to Google his name and Google the phone number to the store and find out on my own which I all have on camera everyone else there for the daytime shift is always respectful, but this guy was very rude on the phone and in person .
Durell PaigeThe two ladies that processed me at this location were terrible. Even though I completed all of the process online, they still inquired me to provide information such as emergency contact information and buying additional insurance. When I asked why did you ask me about purchasing insurance since I already paid for it only, she started snagging me and told me to only answer yes/no to their questions. She went further and gave her reason that "the husband purchased the insurance but the wife did not want it when check in, etc...". Then she started asking me why did I have question about the insurance and I told her I was confused because I did everything online, I thought it was supposed to be a quick check out but it already took more than 5 minutes with those questions I did online and I was concerned that I add extra insurance on top of the one that I bought online. She then told me that if I did not trust them, then I should not do business with them. And then she threw the key on the table and walked away. She did not even tell me where my U-haul was and it took me another 10 minutes to find it since it was in another location. If I have a better option, I will not use U-haul service at this location.
MINH NGUYENThe tire pressure indicator was on as soon as we got the van, so making sure to check that before renting is a good idea. Otherwise, it was a great location and very convenient!

Richard RemettaRoodly and annoying service. They were asking way too much questions during the process of pick up, called me again after the pickup too confirm when and where I'll be returning the truck. When returned the truck, the person was keep asking if I sweeped the truck and if it's clean now, otherwise they will charge me extra, etc. They were making me very nervous all day. This kind of location is looking to get extra charge on customers. In future I'll avoid this location. Not recommend.

Jamie Aycock1st truck was full of furniture. Then had to wait for the attendant to switch to a new truck eating up 30 min of time. Then sent the link 4 hours after I left, she told me to take a picture of the odometer and gas. When I returned it I got charged for gas the wax not there to start with. Very dissatisfied from start to finish, not to mention I was relocated to this location because the one I chose was not able to fulfill the request!

Force me to return next day two hours later and charge me for all day and give another customer truck and charge another customer for the same day! I asked for my refund for that day that Indian lady hung up her phone at me! Very rude Indians and they are to take your money for any lose end. I will not recommend even my worse enemy.

Miguel BaezI was charged $25 for a single small sheet we left in the truck. This required no cleaning or additional labor on the persons part. Diming and nickeling your customers for small things like that is ridiculous. This location is poorly managed and the interior of the truck beds are beat up and dirty. It would be the equivalent of charging someone $25 for leaving a piece of paper in the back. Ridiculous. A small gesture of grace would go a long way for a company.
ALEXANDRU RABLAUCheck the vehicle first before renting it out. Get the vehicle unstuck before renting it out. I was told the truck is full when I picked it up which it was not. Dropped off filler then it was and still got charged for 2 gallons of gas. The U-Haul process of using the app or texting links that do not work makes it to the point of be worth spending money on rentals that are flat rate not the nickel and dime trash U-Haul has became.

Deborah McCombsVery hectic using a gas station for a U haul! There is only gas attendant trying to check people in and out for U haul while switching back and forth to register to run the gas station as well and also run lottery. Not a very well thought out plan just a lazy way to not have to pay for an actual brick and mortar store. $20 rental advertising is also beyond deceptive when you get the contract to see it's almost $2 per mile on top of refilling the gas tank. Also, why waste my time selecting items I need like dolly's, boxes etc., just for the attendant to say he never sees that stuff that I need to go around and collect the items myself and wait to be rung out

Owner needs to get those fixed before they do serious damage to a car or truck - had I rented at night I doubt I would have seen them before it was too late

Sean ConlonGreat rental experience up until I received a call from corporate UHAUL inquiring if I turned in the keys to the vehicle to which I did. Later only to find out that the employee I handed the the keys to inadvertently put them in his pocket and forgot to turn them in. That was unsettling, but overall no other issues.

Worst customer service when picking up and dropping off I can remember ever receiving. Thought it was just a one time thing when picking up. Nope - same curt service from another employee of the organization when dropping off.

Matthew HubbardNo signage directing where to park truck, told by employee to move truck but was not told to move where. I pushed back by asking exactly where we should park the truck and he gave vague, across in the big parking lot, instructions. I just looked at him, asked which one of the multiple big parking lots and he finally said he would move the truck.. I had parked the truck beside another uhaul truck in a legal parking space.. the driveway and lot area is in awful condition with HUGE potholes throughout, very dangerous for both cars and trucks. bad lighting and no signage. Poor situation for what is obviously a busy gas station and uhaul location.

Alireza ChamaniI understand that most people simply want a large vehicle to move their things from Point A to Point B and that's it. But my experience was pretty miserable as when I went out to the cargo van I had rented and opened the driver's side door, I was almost knocked over by the strong stench of marijuana; evidently smoked heavily by the prior renter. I was surprised that no one from U-Haul noticed when the vehicle was returned. However it shouldn't be completely surprising as there was trash from the previous renter still in the vehicle, the inside rear windows were so filthy I could barely see through them (had to get some Windex and clean the windows myself), the vehicle itself was dirty and when I first drove off in the vehicle, there was a warning on the instrument panel that the tires were low on air and the oil needed to be changed. Is it too much to ask that the vehicle to be checked out and at least run through the car wash so that it's somewhat presentable for the next renter? I'm going to need to rent a cargo van again this weekend and I fear I'll be given the same van that reeks of marijuana, and the so-called "blunt spray" the representative sprayed like crazy all over the dashboard did not neutralize the scent. A word of advice - nothing (not Lysol, not Febreez, not incense - nothing gets rid of the smell of marijuana. And for the record, even though no smoking is allowed in any of the vehicles, I doubt U-haul held the previous renter liable for breaking their "no smoking" rule.
Justin Howard WatersThe representative who was on duty when we picked up the truck was very helpful in assisting us despite the fact that - due to some error in the booking system - the truck that I reserved was not available when I arrived. He found another truck of the same size so that I could stay on schedule. The truck, dollies, and blankets were clean and well maintained.
Jonelle BroadyI would just like to start off by saying this is hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The man at the counter was clearly uninterested in helping us. When I was trying to ask for help to close the back door of the vehicle, he was looking at me as if I was dumb and had no idea what I was talking about. He then told me "well it was closed when you got it." Yeah, no shit. I needed help and he just told me to go park it back where I got. Luckily I was finally able to pull it down to close but he was so awful. It's like he didn't want to help us and kept looking at us oddly. Perhaps racial? He definitely wasn't interested in anything we had to say. Then I got the receipt and called for clarification on the charges. He first asked me for the vehicle number and then when I was struggling to find it he told me he couldn't access the bill and was having trouble pulling it up. HOW?! I didn't give him any information that would help him even try to pull up my bill. He then told me I would have to contact the manager. I asked for the number. He proceeded to tell me "google the number." You don't have the number for your manager ?? Do not rent from here it's horrible. You can't ask any questions without the only employee on staff looking at you like your crazy.

Shaheryar HabubThe gas station clerk working at 10pm on 10/27/23 was rude and disrespectful. He knocked the blankets on the ground and demanded I refold them. He also demanded we take the truck to a dark parking lot and walk blocks to the store to return the keys. He yelled and demanded we do this or be billed extra money. We felt threatened and racially profiled. His family should fire him for loosing customers.

Nestor RodriguezThe experience to get the uhaul was confusing. There wasn't enough blankets for how many I originally ordered. The attendants seemed aloof and the walk from the gas station to the U-Haul parking lot was not ideal carrying both dollys and all the blankets. The truck was gross in the cab- old spills, sticky, and hair leftover. Would not recommend or come back to this U-Haul store ever again.
Kevin SolomowitzI received the truck with a "low tire" warning light. The uhaul representative initially said I would have to resolve the problem myself and pointed me to the air hose. Once I discovered that I would need to pay for air, I balked. She said she would reimburse me, but I said I had no clue which tire was low and I wasn't going to spend my time and money to solve this problem. The representative eventually came put to take a look, but was unable to figure out what the problem was and told me to just go ahead and drive it anyway, saying "you have insurance, don't you." This entire situation was handled poorly and could have resulted in an vehicle failure while I was driving the vehicle. The reps at this location should have able to easily remedy this situation.

The person just added what he wanted to and lied about copying what my order was. I will never use this location again and I expect them to correct my bill.
Valerie BacoteAlthough the location is very convenient for Columbia customers and the manager had the best intention. The truck was in terrible shape, the inside of the cab was nasty and definitely was not cleaned for a number of rentals. Caked on dirt on the dash and cup holders. There were large dents, scraps, and scratches on the truck sides. There was a side panel that was severely dented. The truck engine light came on after driving 3 or 4 miles. The location told me to drive the truck until something else occurred because they did not have another truck to replace it.
Bennie BarnesI was really happy with the van I rented. The person who filled out the information to rent the car was well informed and professional. However , when we wanted to return the car and close the bill, it was a young guy who was trying to over charge us by the wrong number of mileage but the lady manager was nice enough to review with us and catch his mistake.Also, they claimed that the tank was full of gas but it was half full and it was good that we took a picture of the gas gage as a proof.

TANYA BAUTISTAWhen picking up, I was told that I have to document every little nick in the truck. It was an older truck, and there were so many nicks that it was impossible to do so unless I wanted to use a couple of hours. They only had one person working for both U-Haul and the gas station. I had to wait a very long time to pick up my truck. Upon the return, the guy working was grouchy. I had to wait a very long time to return, since yet again there was only one worker. He refused to give me a receipt for returning the truck. He told me to sit in my car and wait for one to come to my e-mail. I waited a long time, but no receipt. I went back into the station, and he told me that I just didn't understand how busy he was. So, I waited more until I finally had a receipt via e-mail. He had also told me that I did not fill up the tank to where it was when I took the truck. He charged me more for gas -- far more gas than I possibly could have used from my short trip. Do not use this location -- they are overworked and they try to squeeze every possible nickel out of you.
