Originally scheduled for a U-Haul Center 3 min away. Switched at the last minute to this place 20 min away. One person on site trying to rent me a trailer and having to stop every 30 seconds to wait on convenience store customers. Took over half an hour to get it done. The poor woman was doing her best but the place is poorly staffed. Had to do my own hookup.

First, why do I bother to reserve a unit only to have to repeat the ENTIRE process when I pick up at this location? I was there almost 45 minutes repeating the process. Secondly, why is a store with only one employee allowed to rent UHaul? Not only did I have to go through the whole reservation process again, I had to it between customers buying lottery tickets and cigarettes. Third, the employee had NEVER been trained in renting UHauls. So, maybe the process would have went better had she ACTUALLY been trained by the store staff. Finally, parking your equipment under trees and next to a creek only adds to make it degrade quicker and looks VERY bad on your company! All in all, this was THE WORST (except when I picked up a UHaul truck only to find it was used as a goat hauling vehicle before me) that I have EVER been through!

When we made the reservation, we were told that the mileage was $.69 per mile. At pickup, we were told $.79. We didn’t get the furniture pads we requested, either. During the reservation, I asked for a truck in Clinton, Tennessee. He made the reservation for Clinton highway, Knoxville Tennessee, which is 30 minutes beyond where we needed it. I found this out the next day when I called to ask questions about the reservation. He would not listen to what I had to say, for interrupting me and asking me which credit card I was going to use. He started this before I could even ask the first question. I wanted a 15 foot truck. But as it turned out, we only got a 10 foot truck. The location of pick up only had a 10 foot truck available. I hope I do not need Uhaul again.

The truck was full of roaches and had to be sprayed before we were able to start moving in boxes. The staff was very friendly and helpful though.

Gas level was not indicated correctly on my paperwork. The floor in the cargo box in the back of the truck was not swept. The clerk was busy running back and forth between waiting on other customers and waiting on the laptop to load to take care of me.

Trash left in cab of truck. Only one person working, trying to juggle customers, uhaul, phone, and grill orders. Took over an hour to rent truck even though I entered my information in advance.

Customers have to hook and unhook equipment themselves I feel for the price this service should be included. I feel a convenience store is not the place for a U-Haul rental, had to wait on the employee to ring up customers before she could work on my rental agreement, not her falt she was doing her job and was very polite and did the best she could.

the young lady taking care of me at this location was fantastic & a joy to work with, despite the connectivity & authorized vendor access issues she was fighting to be able to take care of me. such technological issues aren't exactly unusual for a rural combined business location, but it was undoubtedly frustrating for her.

the young lady behind the counter was fantastic and a joy to work with, though she had significant problems with the uhaul vendor web access portal. to streamline the process, accessibility and account access should be addressed, along with ensuring stable internet access at such rural locations.

Uhaul wanted the truck returned about 45mins away from our destination. This location was 5mins away. The personnel was very friendly yet still insisted that we drive the extra distance. Keep in mind we had just driven 14hrs to get there. In the end, they took the initiative and returned our truck.

This place is like the hills have eyes type of gas station. The lady who helped was friendly but used an old laptop that we had to wait to boot, was the only person running the whole store so.she was back and forth and it took forever. My receipt never came either so I had to call in for it to be sent to me. Never signed paperwork either.

The U-Haul was new but the previous renter must have left items in the truck including wet clothes and food. I had to clean the truck out to use it I have a video and pictures of the garbage in the truck . My bill doesn’t make sense either. The truck was 29.99 and I drove it 54 miles at .99 per mile. I also purchased the insurance at 14.99 for the duration of the rental. That should be roughly $100.00 plus tax. My bill says $209.00 and it doesn’t explain the charges. I want someone to call me and explain how the rental was his much.

Park trailers were they do not have to be pulled out by hand to an area to hook up. Lady at the counter very nice and helpful.

Unfortunately I was unaware 3/4 of a tank should be in the tank during drop off and when I got into the U-Haul it was only half-full. I have pictures I got two miles down the road and called back and she said I should have checked before I left there was nothing she could do. Which just lets me to believe that she did not check when it was returned, or it was check the people were charged and she still didn't put gas in it. Either way they cost us extra money in our moving experience. The truck itself was clean, but was very hard to hold in the road. It pulled pretty hard and was hard to handle.

They were new to Uhaul. The woman the checked me out had not been to the class. She needs training. She also never came outside to inspect the 5x8 trailer for damage.

Help train your employees. It wasn't the poor ladies fault the location just started and didn't train her. We waited almost 90 minutes just to get our trailer. This is the second time we have had problems with uhual.
