I spent 60 minutes trying to get verified to rent the vehicle. I was in the store with a valid driver's license, and on top of that, it's even a REAL ID compliant one. Unacceptable. Self Check In is fundamentally flawed.GREGORY P.

The Self Check In process is a shit show. It takes 30+ minutes to get checked in. You need to look at how Zipcar does their authentication process and model after it. A user should be able to authenticate themselves 1 time, and keep stuff on file, vs having to do it every time, and wait 30 minutes and have to have a friend to call, every time. It's not user friendly, it's an ordeal.Greg P.

The Joppa Road site seemed to work well. My overall experience with U Haul was AWFUL. There was about 15 minutes waiting time to rent a vehicle. The operator seemed efficient BUT, they ignored me and reserved a truck many miles away from me and in the wrong direction. I told them use the Joppa Road site in Towson, Maryland. The web listed an available truck. When I arrived on Sunday morning, the Joppa Road location had no reservation and the link which had been texted to me from the reservation did not work. The reservation number listed was worthless. I waited over 20 minutes on the phone Sunday morning for someone to answer the phone from the UHaul site. No one ever answered. On the chat line I did get an answer after a few minutes of waiting. Other than telling me the vehicle was reserved in the wrong locatioin they were worthless. They would not even make an effort to correct the problem. Since your reservations department and help department is so incompetent (?and understaffed) it is not likely that I would go back to uhaul again if I have any other option.michael D.
Attendant told me I could return the U-haul to any location, then other locations said I had to return it back to same location resulting in additional charges for gas and mileage. never againbismark A.

I was told by the person behind the counter that rented me the I I haul that I would put down a 100 $down payment until I return the uhaul and the 100 $would be placed back onto my card I returned the uhaul on October 30 2020 it is now now November 15 2020 and I still haven't received the 100 $Ty A.
I had to wait over 40 min to get the truck when I got there. The man that waited on me was getting very upset with me because he had trouble checking me out. I was late getting the truck to my mover because of his unknowing process.Donna L.
I did my reservation online for a nine foot van. When I arrived the guy took it upon himself to redo my order. He did everything from his phone, he never gave me a contract to sign but I was in a rush and had to pick up furniture. When I looked at the receipt he charges me moving pads and a dolly which were not on the van. And when I did the reservation I refused the insurance coverage for 25 $but he charged me for it anyway. I was 35 $for things I never used and that weren't even available. I am livid. When I called to express my concern cutting rudely cutting me off then said call uhaul. Are you serious charging for 2 rental periods. I waited 15 min each time before and after and only went about 15 over. Had I known I'd be charged for 8 hours, you bet I would not have hurried back. Never again.Lesley A.
