John K.When we went to pick up our van the office was closed it was 12:30pm the office was locked, no note on the door stating closed early. We had difficulty with the Uhaul app and phone service next to the airport. it took us 1 hour to get the vehicle through the app. very frustrating. when returning the the van, the app gave us difficulty again and wouldnt load the photos, we went inside to the girl at the desk, and she said she would check in the vehicle for us later on her own time. i called 2 hrs later and the vehicle wasnt checked in. that part was very frustrating because there were no other customers.
Praxedis L.I had to work through snow banks to get the trailer unstuck with only 2 teenagers to help. e-brake was frozen up and nearly got frost bite trying to pick up the uhaul. Take better care of your equipment, you know we live in the North Country!

TERRYSMITH W.Didn't have the trailer I wanted to rent so went with one that was supposed to be $10 more and ended up being $20 more than was charged for two days when I only had it for three hours was held at the store an extra 45 minutes because the girl at the front desk did not know how to do her job. Called the help center to get half my money back and was told they can't refund me till I spoke with a manager in the next 72hrs. Not happy at all right as of right now.

Jonathon S.There was no washer fluid for wipers and it became a real safety hazard. There was no instructions on how to open hood of truck to add this fluid. It was a very dangerous situation that I feel needs to be accounted for.

David D.Try teaching the counter operator some customer service. When we returned the rental during operating hours there was a sign on the door that said "Be Right Back". We waited an hour and still no one showed up, We left the keys in the return box and I came back the following day to make sure everything was ok with the rental. To me that's poor customer service to be gone that long without stating a return time.

Called number on door as instructed which stated the call would be returned, today is Thursday and so far no call to confirm that the trailer was returned. I had to disconnect and park the trailer myself

JONIL M.There was a discrepancy between U-haul's reservation website and U-haul customer service and Trim A Lawn's actual operating hours. When we made the reservation we selected the site based on it being open until 7 pm. We called U-haul (not the site) to confirm the hours of the site's operation the day before we picked up the truck and that operator said it was open until 5 pm. When we got to the site at 4:45 it was closed. Trying to login to use the u-haul self checkin was a nightmare. It didn't work even after following the troubleshooting instructions and then we sat on hold for 20 minutes while waiting for assistance. Instead of helping us check in the operator insisted on troubleshooting the application- another 15 minutes. U-haul's self-check in forces you to remove privacy settings buried deep within the phone's settings. U-haul and Trim a lawn need to make sure they sync the operating times. The site needs cleaning materials and a trash can for off hours drop off. In speaking to the site manager, the trash can will be placed out front for use. The site manager could also help by clearly marking which parking lot to use. U-haul needs to design a better off hours check in system or dispense with the charge for not using their self-checkin app. Customers should not be penalized if they do not want to undo privacy settings. U-haul also needs to revisit and revise their review process. A customer should have access to delete/edit/update their review. Perhaps allow customer access for 7 days after written? Also all operators should know when U-haul changes its review policies. All this being said, the site manager has been very responsive and after multiple emails and phone calls and chats, so has U-haul. We will continue to utilize U-haul and appreciate their efforts to improve their services.
