Extremely rude employee. I rented a 15' truck ... upon paying for the truck the employee pointed to the truck and tilde me â€œ there it is, bring it back clean or U Haul will charge you 109 $to clean itâ€ He didn't walk me to the truck to look it over or explain a thing to me. I am a single 69 year old woman. When I came back the next morning to get the tow dolly hooked up the same employee told me that U Haul doesn't install tow dollies because it's a liability!! I was beside myself with this man. I had to call my disabled brother to come and help me. This is totally unacceptable behavior!! I have so much more to type but it's very upsetting for me. My son worked for U Haul in Houston for ten years as a mechanic! John Quinn He told me this is not U Hauls policy. The employee refused to wear a mask because it's his right to not and he is vaccinated!!! Over all, this is the worst service !!! Kerrville Texas to California... a very far trip to worry about my car on the tow dolly.VICKI J.
The people and store was great. But Uhaul screwed me over. They sent me 60 miles out of my way to drop off the truck. I toke the truck to the closet uhaul to me because that's where I should have been able to drop it off at. No one there to check it in so I drive 35 miles to the next closest uhaul. They would not accept the truck, told me I had to take it back to where I just came from. Got about half way sack and got a call from the first place I went to and was told I could not bring it there that I had to take it to a uhaul dealer way out on the fare side of town that's 40 miles from me. This dealership was 60 miles from my home. Come to find out they heeded the truck for a rental that afternoon. It's not my job to deliver there trucks that fare from my home when there's dealership closer to me. That was 120 miles round trip I had to put on my car to have someone pick me up. The only good bing that came out of this trip was where I picked up the truck, they did not have the size truck I reserved and got a largest truck at the smaller truck price.Cecil H.

The people at the location were super nice and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. The 15' truck that I rented was past its expiration date, though. The heater came on on the floorboard when you turned on the ac causing an unholy mix of hot legs and cold arms. The steering needed repairs as well as the slightest bump in the road sent you reeling into the oncoming lane.SHAWN B.
Do paperwork right. They put they truck had 3/4 of gas and it was the line below. When I got in the truck I noticed and took a picture to show him when I can back. I stopped and put in the 3 gallons I used and he try to make me pay 20 extra because his PAPERWORK said 3/4. He said you used 3 gallons and I said I put in 10 $which was the 3 gallons so I had to take the truck AGAIN to put more gas or I was being charged 20 extra dollars .CHRISTINA C.

I was charged 15 $for cleaning 5x8 trailer which I do not think it is res reasonable for a little debri on floor, and I was not told there would be an additional fee. Very upset since I am a regular customer and this location is the one that I have been please with for rentals. I will continue to rent and recommend this location but they need to be upfront and let the customer know that there is a fee for cleaning even if it is minimal debris. Especially now that we are in a pendemic and we have limited resources.SYLVIA G.

The pickup location did not have the dolly I paid for and said they would remove the charge for it, which they didn't, so I was charged for the dolly AND and additional 50 $by the dropoff location for not returning the dolly I never received. The truck had less than half a tank of gas when we picked it up, and we dropped it back off with more gas than we had on pickup, but I was charged by the dropoff location for insufficient gas. Took an hour on the phone with the dropoff location, the pickup location, and corporate customer service to resolve the issue after-the-fact. Ridiculous.Bobby L.

Self check in process took too long and involved. Taking pictures with a cell phone in the cold rain wasn't conducive to ones health. Something for corporate to consider, we were charged extra for extra miles taken to avoid covid-19 hot spot areas.WILLIAM E.

Kelly was quite rude from the moment my dad walked in... he went to the other location and reserved a trailer..... when I stopped by to confirm what my dad did (my mom had passed a month earlier, so dads memory was not clear) Kelly was not happy that he went to the other location to rent and feels he ripped the company off by asking for two free days..... which he had refused to give him.... I walked away praying for this man. When we picked up the trailer, a different man helped us who was very very kind and considerate and most helpful.GERALD T.

After confirming trailer lights worked, I left and loaded up the trailer. On my way out of town, a trailer light failed. I stopped at the pick up location and the worker said he didn't work on the trailer and to call roadside assistance. He then said that maybe Carquest could fix it. This kind of service is ridiculous. True master uhaul saved my day when U-Haul Trails End refused to honor my previously set reservation with them .. U-Haul Trail's End decleared my reservation on Saturday morning invalid because they were closed for weekend and told me I was out of luck ... but then driving back after the huge disappointment and rudeness over the phone I came across True Masters Uhaul and they were able to help me. True Masters is awesome. Trails End is a huge disappoint. Please let them know of my frustration. MerciJohn Z.

When we pulled off the busy road into the parking lot the manager or person on duty came out yelling at us that we hadn't pulled up to the right location and why didn't we do with the sign told us to. There was nothing going on with other customers so we weren't disrupting him while he was otherwise busy and if he had simply asked us to we would have moved the truck to where he would like us to. Coming off that busy road frankly we didn't see the sign he referred to and even after we looked around it wasn't very evident. He appeared to be very angry and it was an extraordinarily unpleasant experience. He gruffly opened the back of the vehicle for the inspection and said that it was dirty and we had to pay extra. My wife and I had carefully swept out and cleaned the vehicle. He saw a couple of small blue plastic chips that we don't even know where they came from. They were tiny less than the size of a dime and only about three small pieces and they might have fallen off the upper shelf but we're not a part of anything that we had transported. I took a photo of him pointing to the so-called dirt. He told us it would cost 40 $for cleanup although I haven't looked at the ticket to see what the actual charge was. He got out a broom did one sweep of about 30 seconds duration and that was it. I have photos with him pointing to the so-called dirt.For a couple of decades I have been regularly renting vehicles from U-Haul through the organization that I direct and have always had very positive experiences especially here in San Angelo. I've never experienced anything like this or for that matter in any other business encounters I've had in years.Maybe he was having a bad day but he certainty made ours unpleasant.HOWARD T.
