Extremely frustrating to pick up through the app. Delayed pickup by almost an hour. This location is parked on the top floor of a parking garage without any clear info on how to get the car out.
Laura MThe vehicle was in fine operating shape … the lockbox, not: Due to wear and road salt corrosion dial spun poorly and letters were near illegible. Called for help…which was patient and sympathetic, but suggested I apply wd40. Accurate, but not anything I planned to pack in my trouser pocket!
Andrew WSimple instructions, great location to rent a cargo van. Wish the vehicle wasn't on the third floor of the narrow parking garage, but overall great experience. Will definitely rent from this location again.
ANDREW RPlease never rent from Uhaul at TL Communications at 1303 N Fillmore St Arlington VA 22201. This is a fully automated rental location which relies on the Uhaul App for Verification at the pick up time. I got delayed by 2+ Hours in picking up the truck due to following reasons 1. Uhaul App does not work in Scanning the Headshots and Drivers License. Everytime it failed I had to restart from scratch. 2. The App specified I needed only 2 forms of Verification out of 4 - 1 Friend/Contact, 1 Employer, 1Passport, 1 Lease Document but the verification agent wanted 3 from me and never clarified why they needed three. On pressing they said three because my Drivers License was from out of state but the App scanned the licenses and asked me for 2 forms of validation. I provided a Friends reference plus employer and uploaded my passport. The verification agent then specified that only a US Passport is acceptable. After everything failed, they asked me to give me reference of 3 friends which I did and got validated. So none of the app documented processes worked and were bendable by the agent who really made my life extremely difficult. 3. After all this hassle of waiting and jumping around for 2 hours to get the truck keys, on trying to exit the Facility, The parking card provided by TL Communications to exit was not working and I had to spend another 20 minutes with a remote parking attendant to get the parking barrier lifted. Overall a horrible and harassing experience, please never rent using the app especially at TL Communications 1303 N Fillmore St Arlington VA 22201 Thanks
Saurabh COnly pickup option was through the APP. It was not clear how to get out of the garage. Instructions mentioned a key fob in the glove box. There was not one there. I asked for help from parking attendant who said there was no contract with U-Haul and I would have to pay for a full day. There was a line of cars behind me getting frustrated. I found a parking garage ticket in the van after searching and had to pay $24 to get the van out. Totally unacceptable. When I called U-Haul they were not understanding or willing to refund me the money. It was discovered that the parking pass was on the key ring. This is not a logical location as you would have to put the van in park. Turn the van off to use the pass and then start again. This is the second time I have had an issue with U-Haul. The last time my reservation was cancelled and given to someone else. I had an elevator and loading dock reserved for a four hour window only. We spent a fortune trying to find another option and had to jump through hoops to get out of an apartment in time. I have never hated the company more. I am letting all of my friends not to use U-Haul and I will continue ti give bad reviews.
