Pulled a U-Box trailer from Charlotte NC to Burlington Nc at U-Haul request. Had to go to (3) location to find a U-Haul dealer who would take possession of trailer. Site I was told to take it too, said they could handle this type of trailer, the second said they had no room! I had a loaded truck and people waiting to unload and set me back 1,5 hour, additional mileage and cost of unload labor time!

The other two I have rented both had backup cameras. But the Uhaul got me from Charlotte, NC to Canastota, NY without any issues and that was a relief. Merci.

Jeremy SmithI wanted to share my experience regarding my recent search for a rental truck at your locations. After checking the online availability for a small truck for a few hours, I found two convenient locations for pick-up: 13401 Lancaster Hwy, Pineville, NC 28134, and Tuffy Auto Service at 9800 S Tryon St, Charlotte NC 28273. When I arrived at the Lancaster Hwy location around 11:45am, the associate on duty inquired if I needed assistance. Upon confirming that I was indeed looking to rent a truck and stating the online indication of availability, the associate replied rather abruptly that there were no trucks available. This response struck me as unhelpful and borderline rude. A black male asked his name he said Zell or Denzell not sure if this is correct. He then directed me to the Tuffy location, promising to make a reservation on my behalf. Given the interaction I just had, I must confess I did not fully trust the commitment. As a precaution, I made the reservation directly online. Upon arriving at the Tuffy location, there were no reservations under my name. However, I must commend Angela at this location who demonstrated great professionalism and a pleasant attitude throughout the entire process. I was relieved that I had chosen to secure my reservation online directly. In conclusion, the service provided by the associate at the Lancaster location was unsatisfactory, and I will not consider using this location in the future. Furthermore, I feel compelled to share this experience with friends and associates in the area, advising them to steer clear of this specific location.

Julian HolmesAnother unusual experience: there was nobody even in the office except a client waiting on something. I stood around a couple minutes and the girl sweeping out a truck came in and took my keys. She didn't even LOOK at the truck! Told me she could check it in by the number on the key and that was that! A few hours later I got an email charging me $30 for extra miles even though I left over $50 extra gas in the dumb truck. I asked if she could credit me so I could break even but I guess not. At least the truck did IT'S job!!
KImberely McQuayThe Uhaul location at 9800 S Tryon was just fine. The only issue with my trick was the right side view mirror. My ISSUE WAS WITH THE LOCATION at 13401 Lancaster Hwy, Pineville, NC 28134. My original reservation was made at this location one month prior to needing the truck. When I showed up to pick up my truck, it was NOT available. They had to transfer my reservation to a different location that was over 6 miles away. I request the $50 reservation guarantee refund along with mileage reimbursement for 15 miles.

Eric BellamyThe amount it cost to rent a vehicle is ridiculous. The truck was stuck in third gear. The extra day was supposed to be charged to a different card and the lady said she did. But ended up all being charged to the same card causing issues. I returned the truck in time and still received an email saying the equipment was not returned. Moving is stressful as is this made it ten times worse. I will not use U-Haul again or recommend them to anyone. I have hired movers with a vehicle for 200 dollars before for four hours. And other movers who did everything for 350 reputable companies. There is absolutely no value in renting a moving vehicle.

Brian PeoplesFirst, I had a reservation for 8am but the place of business was not open on time. I didn't leave until 8:46 which put me behind from the start and caused other issues throughout the day. Second, I returned the uhaul early and looked at the mileage which was a lil off because my trip didn't add up to what was on paper versus actual. When I got my email confirmation of the bill, I noticed I was charged more for mileage than I had actually driven. When I called, the employee looked and said she would have to call someone to find out and give me a call back. I never received a call and the issue still hasn't been resolved. Just based on the two interactions I've had, I'm not very happy. I missed a critical furniture delivery on Wednesday because of their tardiness and now I have to wait till next week for my delivery. Again, not very happy! I would appreciate a follow up call to resolve this issue please.

Caryl IngramWhen I completed the rental agreement online, I selected a hand truck, a dolly, 4 large boxes, and a mattress bag. When I arrived at the location, none of these items were said to be available. When I got to my destination to begin loading the truck, there were 3 dollies in the cargo area. I assumed that none of these items would be charged to me but then the boxes and mattress cover where shipped to my home address which was nearly 3 hours away and I no longer had need of them regardless. I will return them for credit to a local Uhaul center in the Raleigh, NC area.
