I was overcharged for the rental, promised inaccurate information and customer service was NOT helpful. This is the WORST experience that I have had in over 30 years of dealing with UHAUL. As a military member, I will not recommend this service any more.

My contract: U-Haul Contract 96132137. On Thurs 10/4 I reserved a van at Tallman NY Tire Center for Friday. On Friday no van was available so I had to go to Tuxedo NY. This added about an extra 10 miles to my travel as well as a certain amount of inconvenience. So it would be nice if you could refund me $10. Thank You. Noted a problem with an error on the checkout mileage, but when I noted I was being overcharged by over $150 - was told only U-Haul could fix-it. U HAUL MANAGER WILLIAM CLARK (877-797-1465) unwilling to speak with me - after months of multiple calls - instead send a request for me to get PDF from the Gulf Station correcting the overcharge of 200+ miles (instead of 40 miles total). Will try one more time today!

Maybe have the person giving you the uhaul schedule the drop off. I already ordered a free storage at 2000 west colifax ave in Denver and for some reason I received a text telling me to drop it off at another location. I then had to call, took 5 minutes to fix but I should not have had to call and waste your reps time at all and the last thing I needed to worry about after driving 1800 miles is where I have to return the unit.

Great experience for me and my daughter. We had to wait 10 minutes but we showed up 30 minutes early. One of the workers kept us entertained with pictures of a bear that he took at his house. My kid enjoyed it!!

I did not like that my drop off site was moved to a much harder location. When I booked the rental the site should have warned me that my drop off site was not available. I am upset that I had to change drop off sites.

I had an issue with scheduling, the closest u haul facility or preferred as you call it was not available, we had to drive 15 miles to get the truck. That adds extra time to my trip and then you charged me for the extra time at the end.

The problem I had was not with the Tuxedo Gulf Service location. Instead,the contractor could not do his job because the wiring on my car was done poorly at the Saw Mill location in Yonkers. Unfortunately, when I went to get the trailer attached there was a glitch in the wiring. When I called the Saw Mill location, they stated that the technician was on vacation. So I then had to drive 20 minutes north to Nanuet where it was temporarily fixed. The technician fixed the wiring but by the time I got back home, the lighting would not turn off. It was suggested to unplug the wiring so I did that and when I returned to the car in the morning the wiring would not turn on at all. I had to call uhaul road side assistance and someone had to come out to check the car. He also stated that the wiring was poorly done but he also fixed it and then I could finally start the road trip to Chicago. Again, in Chicago I had more issues with the wiring because it again would not turn off and it drained my battery. This whole process was a great hinderance in my move and caused many issues. I would like someone to contact me as soon as possible because this was unacceptable and should never again happen to someone traveling over 800 miles.

My experience was so horrible that I cancelled the reservation. What happened to U-Haul? I have used U haul many time before with success, but I will NEVER, NEVER use you again!! It was one of the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company. You have become a total disaster as a company and I will go out of my way never to deal with you EVER AGAIN!! I am so upset with your customer service that I still can't believe you could possibly stay in business because your service is so bad!! Every aspect of my interaction with your reservations people and CS people was a total disaster. I hate to have to say this, but you simply are a dasaster!!!

This comment is not towards the Tuxedo Gulf Station. Tuxedo Gulf Station was pleasant, he helped me through the process. The overall experience ordering the Uhaul. When I first reserved the Uhaul Truck for Saturday, I was told it would be available in Nanuet (closer to where I need to use the truck). However, on the Friday before my pickup, the regional service called to notify me that the pickup location was changed abruptly to another location that was 10 miles further to where I needed to use the truck. Christopher, the agent, handled me very well. However the lack of or miscommunication between the Uhaul locations was concerning. Why was the location available on wednesday and changed without notification to the customer?

That location and Greg were the ONLY aspects of uhaul that was of any worth, he made weeks of false expectations countless disappointments bearable. To bad he is not running the corporations over all business plan. What I went through over the course of two weeks with this company is wildly unprofessional and ridiculous. I WILL NEVER use uhaul again, and WILL go out of my way to I courage others to go with someone else. However, if you have to use uhaul...Greg in tuxedo is awesome, and do not want anyone to confuse my anger for uhaul with my respect for his leg if the operation.

The location is a family business. Although 1 person takes care of the transactions here and they were on vacation this week, no one else knew how to fill out the paperwork for me to secure my rental. The proprietor had to call National U-Haul to allow me to talk to someone there and fill out the paperwork, then National U-Haul send me my paperwork via email. The problem with this was that I was on the road with no way of seeing my contract or having any numbers to call if I needed help or roadway assistance. There should be at least 2 people acclimated on how to proceed with rental transactions.

Original pickup location was Nanuet, NY but an issue arose with the Tow Dolly prior to me arriving to pick it up. U-Haul found another location that had the Tow Dolly and this was closer to me. Customer Service was excellent as was the communication from U-Haul. Over all experience this time with U-Haul was Excellent... Thank you !!!

Initially did not want to take back the trailer. Claimed the uhaul rep was gone for the day. I persisted and eventually was able to leave the trailer at the location....no help from the attendant with unloading or unhooking the trailer.
