I had the worst experience ever. The young lady was rude and I had to walk 4 blocks to pick the van. When I got to the parking lot I to drive the van out of a unusual tight parking lot.

I registered online to make everything easier, at my surprise, it took an hour to complete my reservation, associate wasn't friendly, I added second driver on my pre registration, he lied to me that it was in the system, to find out later it wasn't and have to wait longer for associate to add second driver manual. Furthermore, truck was not cleaned, he didn't tell me to look for the cleanness. At my surprise, when I when to drop, associate from drop off location told me I have to clean passenger side or I will be charged extra fee. I told him I didn't have passenger and it was like that when I picked the truck but he said if I don't clean, will see additional charge. All this because the pick up location didn't informed me .

It is with great displeasure that I write you this email. I have had a really bad experience with current u-haul booking. I have been a frequent u-hail customer and have never faced this. Firstly, I was given a van and it's keys and later it was taken back and I was assigned another one. For which I had to walk a distance to another location and pick it up. After arriving I was appalled by the liking at the unhygienic, dirty condition and the safety of the of the vehicle. It had dirt all over of the cabin. Including the driving wheel . Oil change display was ok but there wasn't any one to address it. After open the storage cabin, it was filled with dirt, oil, water etc. Due to no other option I had to drive this vehicle even after seeing its condition. Please provide an explanation and corresponding compensation for the inconvenience. Hope the standards of cleaning are improved at u-haul especially during the pandemic.

It was fine. There was a but of trash in the door compartments and under seats I was nervous about getting charged for. Pickup was fine but the GPS didn't work in the browser so I wasn't able to do the contactless pickup. Contactless drop off worked better in terms of being able to use the phone for everything smoothly, but there was nearly no parking in the area and I had to circle the block. Even after hours, I think something needs to be done to expand parking availability for drop offs. Lastly, every employee I worked with was great.

Got there and was told at the counter the vehicle I rented had a flat tire and they could only offer a smaller vehicle - that didn't fit all the things I needed to move. So I had to make two trips with the smaller vehicle instead of just one. This made my move take 4 hours longer than it would have with the larger vehicle and I had to use twice as many miles. Upon return I was told I'd be reimbursed for the extra mileage - just got my bill and it's twice as expensive as the price I was quoted so now I have to dispute it. The customer service people at the location were great but my overall experience with Uhaul has been extremely poor.

Place is chaotic to try and park a 15 foot U-Haul truck on a one way street. Its Manhattan though. However one of the guys that works there grabbed the keys and said I will take care of it for you. You are all set. Bonus, that same person helped me find my glasses that I left in the truck. I went back the next day. Thank you for your help! I wish I knew his name, He was very helpful.

No option for zero stars. Only rent here if you have no other city choice. Did not have truck I reserved had to take a van, but did not get the mileage cost adjustment promised for having to take more moving trips. Also I waived Collision, but it was put on my card. Van has a giant oil spill in the cargo area. Go someplace else. Tried to follow up with a phone call, they never answer.

The back of the van was covered in a sticky substance that was clearly not cleaned from the previous renter. After explaining to the associate that my van was supposed to be dropped off in a different location, they did nothing to help besides tell me I have to bring it back to the same place I picked it up from. EVEN THOUGH I have a uhaul email CONFIRMING that I am dropping off the van at a different location. 0/10 experience from Uhaul - I was lied to and it caused a huge inconvenience in my move, and caused me to waste countless hours on a moving day, which are already busy enough in general.

I reserved a truck well in advance just to realize on the moving day that it was not available. I had to take a smaller van and after discussing with the agent he granted me a 50$ discount. Never again a uhaul truck

Pickup was a nightmare. I went the day before to confirm everything would be ready for a 6am pickup, which is before the store opened. I was told everything was Set up and ready to go for the morning and that there would be 24 hour staff to hand off the keys. I got there and there was nobody on site, and my online UHaul Checkin wouldn't let me check in - saying that my car was being hand delivered 2 hours later, at 8am. Only after the manager of the location showed up 15 minutes later, were we able to get things started. He had to completely make a new reservation in order to get us our car, another long and difficult process of waiting for us to get our car. Overall, this was about the worst possible experience a renter could get from UHaul minus the fact that we were finally able to get our car. I am extremely disappointed and will be looking for other alternatives to UHaul for my next move.

The representative who worked with us was very professional, patient and helpful, it was an enjoyable interaction. However, the truck that we received was unsafe to drive due to broken mirrors that moved freely and could not be locked in place. We only had to go a few miles on city streets and we managed but it would have been difficult to go longer distance and impossible to drive on a freeway in that truck. The location's gravel parking lot is filled with puddles and potholes and gives an untidy appearance.

This place was great. Was able to make a reservation online and extend my reservation very easily. I have to say the guy who works there named Manny at thr front desk was super helpfu, kind and very patient. It was a Sunday and really busy. About 5 to 6 people waiting in line with reservations and he handled it very well and went above and beyond with each and every customer. With the same exceptional and friendly customer service to everyone equally without seeming frustrated or overwhelmed. Great worker you guys have ! He is a keeper for sure. An asset to the company.

The email reservation and all communication indicated a 7 AM pickup. In fact, the location is not open until 8:00 AM. My attempts to confirm and ensure a simple and easy pick up were made impossible due to the company's long phone lines and disconnect between corporate and the local provider. If one hour delay in pickup is an extraordinary inconvenience and specially frustrating after every effort is made to ensure it would be simple and smooth.

There is no after-hours parking for returned vehicles. Park somewhere in the neighborhood, but park legally. Beware of local parking regulations. There are several small boxes for returned keys that remain locked. The slots in each return box to deposit keys is not marked and is not obvious late at night.

The wait time to pick up the u haul was unacceptable. It took over an hour to pick it up even though I was at the station on time and was in a hurry to move out that day. Additionally, I dropped off the U haul at 7 pm and there was no room to park and no guidance whatsoever. Three other u hauls we're looking to park as well behind me and one of them got into an accident with a vehicle on the same street where the u haul office is located. The cops were called and we still didn't know who to ask about next steps and remediation. It was a complete shit show and I don't say that lightly. Eventually I parked the Van on the next street and left the keys in the box. On the way to this location, I stopped by another u haul neighborhood location on 110 street to fill up gas and the person assisting us there was present and very kind and helpful. I wish I left the car then and there and disregarded the no one way policy. I would've avoided the panic attack that later ensued at the original location. Please let me know what my refund options are or other remediations thank you.

The interior of the van was dirty. The van was also parked in a lot 5-10 minutes away from the rental location. After returning the vehicle early, I found out that I was charged an “after-hours” fee, despite returning it during business hours. The fuel level recorded on my receipt was inconsistent with the actual fuel level in the van, which resulted in me being charged a refueling, despite the fact that I refueled the van to a higher level than it was when I picked it up. This was extremely inconvenient and frustrating to deal with and it makes me very unlikely to do business with U-Haul in the future. The poor level of service makes it too much of a headache to endure again.

I did have to go to another location to actually pick up because there were no vans on site. I was sent to 119th st. Not that big of a deal. I would recommend a more thorough inspection when its dropped off or before being rented out. I did my own cleaning of the van of course to be safe from Covid. There were used gloves in the cab and beverage bottles next to both the passenger and driver side.

I called 4 or 5 times returning the car because they did not tell me what kind of gas the vehicle took and they never picked up! And then I got charged for the ridiculously over priced gas fee you guys charge. BAD SERVICE!!!

I reserved a truck. Turns out they were oversold . So I got a van instead. It was a terrible experience I mean how can they do that however the person behind the register ( poor guy) I didn't catch his name but he was very nice and apologetic and even called us when a truck became available. I had a reservation and went through the self-check-in process, only to go through endless vans that weren't on-property. This took awhile. I went inside and the individual inside (Ian) told me they gave away my reservation (despite the U-Haul Reservation Guarantee) and blamed me for being late, even though the time that I was late to walk-in was because I was outside trying to do the self-check-in for a van that wasn't there. Ian was argumentative throughout the whole process. When I got the van, which wasn't checked-in and caused further time delay, I was 45 minutes past when I was supposed to have had the van. The back of the van was dirty and had trash inside. The cab of the van was covered in dust and grime. Despite the pandemic of COVID-19 and the promises made by U-Haul, this van was clearly NOT sanitized and was not safe to use. I had no choice but to use it anyway. When I returned the van, another guy took the van, instead of letting me check it in myself. I went inside and was told "you're fine" if they already had the keys. 90 minutes later, the van was still not checked-in as returned via the U-Haul system: I had to call support and have them note it as returned. The van, itself, wasn't marked as returned until some time the next day. I'm sure there would have been a late return fee, if I hadn't already called support about the issue.

I scheduled a uhaul for 11 am and chose the option to find my vehicle using my mobile device instead of going inside due to covid. Well I spent 30 minutes trying to find The vehicles the website told me we're waiting for me and couldn't find it, at this point it is 11:20 am and I go inside to which he says he's about to give out the last van (and there was another guy in front of me in line other then the guy getting the last van that we had all scheduled) . Turns out both of these men in front of me had scheduled a 12 pm pick up and both got a van before I did. I ended up getting a van at 1:20 pm. 2 and a half hours after I arrived, and 2 hours and 20 minutes after my appointment. The worker in the store was very nice and it wasn't necessarily his fault as much as it was the inconsiderate man who did not return the van when he was supposed to, but these things need to be accounted for especially since the first time he called the man with my van was 4 hours after it should have been there, and didn't get into my possession 6-7 hours after it should have been there. Also, he gave people with appointments and hours after mine a vehicle before he gave me one. As bad as an experience can get.

I am extremely unsatisfied with the service: First, the vehicle was not cleaned at all, with trashes and litters from the previous customer scatter around. Second, we were NOT informed of the need to refuel the gas tank, and was completely unaware of any service charges if we do not returned the vehicle refilled. Even more, the vehicle had only a quarter tank of gasoline (the previous customer was not refueled either) - How would anyone remember a random amount of remaining tank level when he/she took the car, and refuel it back to the same level when returned, plus that nobody informed he/she the need to refuel to the level when rented? This is completely unprofessional services and extra charges are unacceptable. I request the refund the $30.00 service charge

When I checked out the van it had a right outside mirror cracked. The customer service sucks they were talking about all personal stuff all loud and not taking care of the Customers. And the card machine didn't work so we had to hand over the card and with Corvid we shouldn't have no contact
