I have one question. Mileage I under stand would have been 0,79 a mile. Fortunately under 20 miles. Is tgat the normal rare? If I were to take a student say to dark Iowa. That would be a lot. Are there better deals.

Windshield wipers were HORRID. But truck was clean, had gas, worked fine. Drove over 650 miles in a day and a half and didn't have any issues other than wipers.

I found the app/website difficult to navigate while traveling and planning a return of the trailer on a one way rental. I ended up pulling the empty trailer all the way back home because I was on time restraints. It was easier to do that than search for a location to drop off.

The staff member at U Stor It was the only positive part of this experience. Uhaul assigned my drop off location as 4300 Lincoln Ave, Lisle Vape & Cigar Hut. I completed the drop off instructions on the app and discovered there was no drop box for the keys. When I went inside, the man at the store said they no longer work with Uhaul... I spent over an hour on the phone trying to speak with someone from Uhaul and find out what to do with the keys. I ended up taking matters into my own hands and dropped it off at the U Stor It nearby. They were happy to take it. AFTER all of that, I finally got ahold of someone at Uhaul to let them know I did their job for them and dropped the truck off elsewhere. I wil not be recommending Uhaul to anyone.

Charged $25 for a cleaning fee. The staff literally opened the trailer right in front of me and didn't say a word and made it seem like everything was great and then I get a bill for $25 for cleaning fee. Very deceptive business practices.

You need to have a better supply of furniture blankets. Several nearby U-Haul locations were out of them as well, including one they sent me to that showed some in inventory but had none when I got there 15 minutes later. Otherwise, a great experience (except for the actual moving part, of course).

The brakes on our truck were not catching properly. The passenger side windshield wiper flipped off, which we could tell had happened in the past because the windshield was scraped on the same side. Sadly, we needed that wiper due to rainy weather, but were unable to use it because it was broken prior to us picking up the truck. Additionally, the cover over the passenger side headlight was literally taped on when we picked up the truck. It blew off in the wind at some point. This truck should have been checked out prior to us picking it up and should not have gone out in the condition in which we received it.

First truck had four bald tires in back. Equipment DC 1693K. Did not feel safe driving truck. Brought back next morning for a swap. Replacement truck was better, but they charged me mileage for the 6-mile round trip from the rental location to my home. Not my fault the truck had four bald tires and I needed to bring it back. Just remember to check tires before you leave so you are not driving an unsafe vehicle.

Inside cab had litter and dried beverage spillage in cup holder area. I avoided contact. This should have been cleaned when truck was returned by previous customer. My scheduled pickup day and time had to be changed to the following day because the U-Haul computer system would not permit release of my truck. Nationwide system problem. Long wait for my location to try to contact IT help, over 1-1/2 hours. My location personnel were diligently trying to get through to them, when they finally did the issue could not be resolved. There was no backup plan in place to override the system to provide the customer with truck immediately & update system when computers were back in service. The people at Lisle location were not at fault for this situation and tried to help me but couldn't.

I dropped this truck off in the evening and attempted to put the keys in the drop off box and when I tried to open the door there was no lock locked! The door was open with three other sets of keys laying inside. The next morning I checked my credit card that was used for payment, There was an additional charge of $54,32 from this store. I then called and the young lady I spoke with could only tell that was the charge for the truck rental. She then stated I would have to call U-Haul's 800 number to get clarification. Then after waiting on hold for ten minutes I finally talked with a gentleman who then put me on hold again and after waiting for another five minutes he got back on and said I will receive a refund within 3-5 business days for the 54 with no explanation as to why I was charged this extra money. This is terrible business U-Haul.

My reservation was for a 4x8, you called me and said they have a 5x8 and would give me the same price. They had to cancel the reservation and charge me for the 5x8. You guys are terrible at training……

Only drove for 30 miles. Added 11 gallons of gas and the gas indicator nearly move. What wrong with the truck. I bet you people did something on the meter. I'm going to report it.

I am saddened to learn about the process where I drove the truck for just a mere 9 miles and was asked to pay an EZ fuel charge of 9 dollars when I put 5 dollars worth of gas in it. The truck was extremely unclean and the attendant acted as a complete robot while I asked him genuine questions.

The service person I worked with did not know anything about the optional insurance. She knew nothing and could not answer any questions about collision and liability coverage. I ended up buying insurance that I later found out I did not need.

The manager was the rudest person I've ever dealt with. My entire experience with uhaul was horrible. I dealt with three different locations..Plainfield , Aurora and Lisle and they were all rude. I had to call corporate. She was the only nice person. I will NEVER rent from uhaul again and I will tell everyone I know not to as well!
