Truck rental was dirty inside. Invoicing was wrong; was charged for 2 days of rental and CDW when I specified I would return within 4 hours and I did. U-Haul service has gone down WAY DOWNHILL over the years. A few years ago I was charged a bogus 175 $damage assessment even though I caused no damage to the truck. Now I wash your crappy rentals every time to ensure I don't incur some bullshit cleaning fee or fake damage fees. You're making your customers scared instead of creating a great customer service experience. Your dispute process is bullshit as well. Stop trying to screw people over and just DO BUSINESS WELL. You're the next Comcast. I'm renting from somewhere else going forward, because your business model is jacked up.Pavel G.

The driver who picked up our pods, Yolanda was very rude and a dangerous driver. She did not reassure us that our items would be safely cared for. She hit the pods pretty hard with her forklift and refused to let us take note of the pod numbers. (The barcode in the clear window was partially torn off.) Had no problems with pick up and delivery. This location called me the day before my scheduled pickup date to confirm the date and time which was really great. However, the corporate customer service line (not specific to this location) needs some adjusting. I was on hold for over 2 hours on multiple occasions. While the customer service representatives I spoke to were very kind and tried to be as helpful as possible, they were still unable to resolve my issue on that same phone call. The process of requesting the Ubox's to be pulled for access needs some work. Both times I called over 24 hours in advance and requested them pulled. When we got to the location, they had not been notified both times to pull them. When we got there they advised if they were behind other ubox's accessing them that day wouldn't be possible. We took days off of work both days for moving. This needs to be fixed, luckily we were able to get them accessed.Alicia M.

I think you guys did a good job. The whole experience of having my things on the other side of the country was odd, and there were time zone issues, but everything got resolved and my stuff arrived. While I'm happy my stuff arrived, This is one of the worst logistics experiences I've had, will not be recommending u-box. - I booked online in advance of the move, things seemed okay. During booking One of the destination delivery operators in austin listed seemed to have an unreasonably low price and we're on the opposite side of town, didn't use them. - About a week after booking, visited the u-haul Interbay location listed for doing u-box. They said they dont do ubox and I need to call u-haul to figure out logistics again. This then required me to pay a origin delivery fee (for loading the ubox). - Thought after calling u-haul a week earlier and clearly uploading pictures thered be no problem getting the box. On loading day they didn't even have me on their schedule, I had to make sure I called u-haul first thing the morning of loading day. - at destination, Delivery was delayed, ubox sat for 6 days. Not a big deal but got no notification of what the final empty box pickup day was until calling them. Learned only after calling again was delays then due to a truck being down. Overall, I think uhaul is going to be mediocre on this side of business compared to dedicated box shipping businesses.vivek G.

The effort to get the U-Box containers to Seattle was expensive and a comedy of errors. No one seemed to have a grasp of how anything was to be done, no communication, not even the correct addresses. The person who rented to me assured me that going over no more than 52,00 $ could be paid on my payday 1/7/2021 with no issues. Here we are the 6th and my card was charged along with a fee due from my bank due to no funds being in the account. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with uhaul and I will be taking my business elsewhere when I need to rent a truck. It's bad enough I had to wait a whole hour when my rental started at 1pm for this worker to show up. Me and my husband along with a customer behind me walked all the way through the warehouse looking for a worker as well as outside and not 1 person was in sight. We totally could've robbed the place. The storage container company I initially used was bought-out by Uhaul so they took and housed my container for a few years. I was charged a late fee once, so I wrote them to explain that the online dashboard "due-date" was confusing because it said 0,00 $ was due by a certain date, so I could only assume no rent was due. The reply was rude, implying that I should ignore what my dashboard on their site says and just pay. They also turned away the reserved truck that showed up at their facility to pick up my container (to deliver to shipping port) and GAVE NO REASON to them, or to me, after I wrote to ask why they are holding up the pick up. Not even an apology. I believe both times it was Grant Dowell that I talked to. He's simply bad at customer service. I suggest to anyone needing storage help to please go elsewhere.Sandra M.

I've used UBox twice before and have never had issues but I had a poor experience coordinating my UBox delivery in Seattle. Specific complaints are below: -I wasn't told about the requirement to get a city street use permit until 24 hours before my UBox was already scheduled to be delivered. This should've been communicated when I called to schedule my UBox delivery, which was at least a week in advance. -I had a very unpleasant experience with one of the representatives when I tried to move my assigned delivery window from 9am-12pm to later in the day (because I wouldn't physically be in Seattle until 12pm and had to show my permit to the delivery driver). She yelled at me and was unwilling to offer any possible solutions. I was then called later (after I already changed the time my movers were coming to unload) to be told I had been moved to a 1pm - 4pm slot. This was less than 24 hours before my scheduled move. I had to then switch my movers back on short notice. -I was told that despite getting a 1pm - 4pm delivery window, it would be okay to have my movers come at 3:30pm (their only available slot on such short notice). My UBox was finally delivered at 4:05pm (AFTER the delivery window). My movers were here waiting for over 30 minutes. Overall, I was really disappointed by the poor communication, last-minute changes, and customer service at this location. Like I said, I've used UBox twice before (in NYC and Durham, NC) and had no issues. This time, UBox made my move significantly more stressful than it needed to be.NATASHA G.

We signed up for the contactless free option but we were forced to go inside to be handed the keys due to no code for the box outside. No one was inside the store and we waited 18 minutes for an employee to come inside. They asked if we had been helped and we advised no. So they went outside to tell the 3 other employees that we were waiting, and it took an additional 5 minutes for them to come in, rudely speak to us, and then hand us keys off the wall. I tried to avoid this location due to the poor reviews, but all other locations were booked and rescheduled me here.. twice. Don't go here unless you're desperate.Kaycee C.

I rented a storage box from another company three years ago. During that time, they closed and my stuff was transferred to UHAUL which worked fine until it came time to get my stuff out of storage. It has been a HORRIBLE experience with the worst customer service. When I made the reservation, they contracted the job out to "Moving Help" which then contracted it out to a local mover. Trying to get any information or any help from UHAUL, Moving Help, or this local company has been one frustration after another. Box wasn't delivered on time. Box wasn't picked up on time. The process for getting a permit in Seattle to drop the Ubox was so complicated and frustrating. Add to that the fact that I needed to coordinate renting barricades so I was completely overwhelmed and stressed. Uhaul of Kent has stellar customer service reps! They were so patient and helpful every step of the way. Most importantly, they were able to get my Ubox picked up before my permit expired. I spoke with Kelly a couple of times and she was able to work magic. Sherry dropped and picked up the Ubox and she was also amazing. Their team is incredibly appreciated!Paula W.
I received an email stating my ubox has arrived and when I called the same day to schedule the delivery, a staff member stated that the email was incorrect and my box was not there. 4 days later I call and a different person tells me my box has been there since the last time I called! delivery is scheduled and I call the next day just to verify and they tell me it is being delivered 3 days early. Long story short, it was never being delivered early so I missed work for no reason and had to go even long without my goods. I have never been more frustrated or dicked around by a customer service team than the one in Kent, WA. The pickup was seamless in CA and I had nothing but problems in WA. We had 3 orders for UBoxes. The first 2, we were given a drop off date (of the empty boxes) by the order taker. On both occasions this date was changed to a later date, by UHaul. By the 3rd order, we adjusted for this but that one was delivered when promised. I'm sure they were just overwhelmed, but it was stressful. Other than that, it was a good way to move across the country and pack on our own schedule. Everything arrived at the destination on time and was delivered to us promptly.renee O.
