I hired movers to pick up my container. They were given the incorrect box. Then when they went back and retrieved the correct box. They weren't informed that Uhaul had screwed the box shut. I had multiple items broken. Including my entertainment center.
Krista QuimingThe quote was wrong and Uhaul forced me to pay an additional $110 to get my stuff. The "accommodation" they offered - to come pick up the pod myself - was obviously worthless. I was extremely dissatisfied with this improper adding of fees. In addition, the pod was picked up in Los Angeles, two days late without explanation. Overall, a very frustrating experience and the hidden costs changed the economics. I would probably tell people to find another way.

Nicholas DangWas quite upset and took much of my time to make multiple calls with waiting on hold and speaking with various people. Well before delivery date I set up time. I wanted to have movers come to unload the same day, 11/29/23. Your agent said would be in the morning she thought, so just tell movers to come in afternoon. I said, when in the morning, lady said you should be one of first ones on route, but can not confirm time until the day before, you will get a call from uhaul the day before. I said will need to know for sure you are coming that day, as can't set up movers on a "should." She said, oh movers know how to work with us so should not be a problem. I said, can't risk that so will schedule movers the next day. Come the afternoon of the 28th (day before uhaul is to drop off), I still have not heard from uhaul. I call and told, they sill call you before 6, everything is on schedule. Come 6, still have not heard so call uhaul and get passed around alot and finally get a lady in Scottsdale office and when I say who I am and why calling, she says, "I heard of your situation." Ouch, I said that does sound good and what is going on. She said the Tempe office can't fit you in their schedule and they have asked Scottsdale to help and Scottsdale is seeing IF they can fit you in sometime late afternoon on the 29th. This is very upsetting as made plans for afternoon of the 29th and important that come in the morning, to speaking of the uncertainty of being told, IF they can fit you in. I express my displeasure and lady said would refer to managers to figure something out. The next morning have not heard so called and was told uhaul would be there in the morning and they were. So bottom line things worked out but I was not at all happy about stress and time spent to make sure things were done correctly, especially in that had set time well in advance of drop off date

Stephen KowalIt was so easy they brought the boxes, I had a moving coming pack the uboxes they were done in hour they brought them back to you. I had a couple of days before they shipped out was able to bring some more things to the Uboxes and they shipped them out the next day to TX from AZ they arrived in 2 days earlier than they were supposed to get their. Easy peasy.

Reni CartwrightImprovement is needed with communication. I had such a mix up from Az to Pa.too much to elaborate. No one was on the same base. They didn't know if they were coming or going! I would recommend going to a nearby u-haul dealership and stay with them throughout your move ( keep in contact with them over the phone) . Do not call the 800 number or use their u-haul web site.

Made no sense . However , Tara cleared it up . She truly knows her stuff. Ask her what happened with the empty box delivery ??? It made no sense at the time. Too much for me to explain. The Tara team is great !! Please treat those two well.

Catherine KarlssonWith uhaul the experience was good. I do feel uboxes are not built for moving homes. Smaller apartments maybe. I used the 1,5 rooms per ubox and it would have to be a small room. I did package moving help with my Uboxes and that experience was terrible. The moving crew brought uboxes in 1 at a time. Take 10 minutes to fill a box and then 1,5 hours of downtime while they took 1 u box away and retrieved another.

You need a better tracking system so employees have insight into when Uboxes are shipping and expected to arrive at the new location. Nancy MaynardThe Scottsdale team were great except that U-Haul I rented was too small and not able to fit all my belongings. I asked U-Haul before making the reservation and they recommended a small size. I wish they recommended a larger size. The Miami team was horrible, the U-Box was delivered ny a lady that was rude and not willing to help and find solutions. I had to arrange and pay the parking garage next to my building to let her park her truck. On top of that, she placed the U-Haul box in a place that was not appropriate and because of that U-Haul had to come twice and actually send a special team to pick up the U-Box. Overall very bad experience with the Miami team.
Andrea VizcarraI called the U-Box support ahead of time and scheduled for a pick-up time of 8AM, but it turns out that this facility did not open until 9AM. I showed up at 8AM and was greeted by the staff. The staff on-site were extremely friendly and helpful, and was able to get me everything I needed and out the door before 8:30AM (even though they were not open yet). I had a great experience at this facility and would highly recommend it.
BRADLEY WONGI didn't interact with this uhaul location at all, but they stored my ubox nicely and nothing was wrong. So very good!

Garrick SchermerDO NOT RENT A UBOX FROM UHAUL! The communication around providing any information about the UBox location and expected delivery is terrible. Multiple U-Haul locations and various employees had no way of knowing where, when, or even if we could expect arrival of the UBox. They use unreliable 3rd Party carriers that give very little information to UHaul and do not communicate to scheduling, UBox support, or any other customer facing facet of U-Haul. If U-Haul is going to use 3rd Party carriers to move these units across the country, they need to develop tracking systems and avenues for communication between UBox support staff and those carriers. Provide customers with timely updates and communicate when delays are expected. I had no communication from U-Haul, whatsoever, despite calling almost daily. 10 + days of delays without a single shred of knowledge about my UBox. Numerous employees promised to return my call, but none of them did so. Also a recommendation to adjust the expectations you set for when a UBox is delivered. Change the information on your website and do not advertise times that are not even close to being achievable. Set clear and realistic expectations for your customer's around when a UBox is "scheduled" to arrive. My box was over a week delayed, despite being advertised as a quick affair. I was also promised compensation for every day of delay and have not seen a penny of that. I'm sure I'll have to call in and spend many more hours on the phone with staff who are untrained and uncaring to help customers solve their issues.

And my boxes were delivered late because they said they called to verify, I didn't answer, so they moved the delivery date 4 days later. My phone didn't show a missed call, and I didn't have a message. So I find it hard to believe they called.
Renick GreenI was not recomended the correct number of containers. I was in need of three additional containers which U-Haul did get but at a cost. U-Haul more then doubled my cost which I had no choice to pay so I could get my things back. The people were awsome and willing to work with me within the U-haul system. No one could tell me why my cost more then doubled.
David OlivarezDo NOT use the uhaul pods for moving. I had a horrible experience. The pod arrived damage for load in - making it very difficult to shut the door fully. I put a padlock on each door so that they couldn't just be opened for someone to access my things. The pickup for my pods to be moved was late - I only found this out because I called for an update on shipping. It was slated to be there 5 days later than originally scheduled. When I asked for tracking info, they said they only know when they get picked up and delivered and don't have tracking info or a time frame of when they would arrive. Luckily I realized I had an AirTag in my bag that was in one of the pods, so I was able to track it that way. When they arrived at my destination, the pod that was already damaged no longer had the locking mechanism on it because the screw for the mount had come completely out of the wooden ubox frame. The items in my second pod were completely shifted around and had fallen all over the place. If I was able to upload photos, I would. It was horrible. Overall bad experience, quality and process.

Paula KinnardThe CS agent that I spoke with initially only offered two boxes and didn't really inquire about large items being shipped. For example, a 2 bedroom for one person can have a lot more furniture than the next depending on whether they have dressers or just beds and the size of those items. Also, it would be nice for them to use a reference as to the size of each box so once can have a better idea of the size. Fortunately for me I asked for one more box before I ended the call, otherwise I would have been screwed.

Robert PrestonI absolutely loved the Ubox to send multiple items to a different location. The service over all was excellent. The annoying part was that I was receiving a call from staff almost weekly, to learn that the person I spoke with before regarding details of pick-up and delivery did not document the arrangements so I had to repeat myself frequently and this caused unnecessary stress and worry and I became angry. this was not customer service it bordered on harassment. I am grateful for the process. Merci

The warehouse employees would come tell me and my family that they where closing early 20 minutes before and expect us to HURRY and pack everything back in a rush so they could put the boxes back in the warehouse. They were always rude, no manners, no business etiquette. Horrible service. From beginning to the end. I was also told that when I empty my boxes that's when I tell the employees so I don't get charged the following month. Instead I was already charged a month ahead so i paid for a whole month of no use. This was horrible.
