I got charged $127 for an extra day after I had major issues dropping off the key to the designated location. I spoke with customer service and after telling them the location posted a sign saying they wouldn't be open on weekends, they asked me to hold the key until the following Monday. I returned the key and was still charged for another day. They were even petty enough to say I didn't bring back the truck with the correct amount of fuel. THEN when they did refund my money, it was only for a small partial payment. Now I'm getting the runaround about the rest of my money and from this point on, if I need a rental truck I'm going to Penske. They may charge a little more but their customer service is so much better than this. I've never had an experience so poor with this company and it will not happen again.

Tire light was on but was fixed Returning on App was a horrible experience. Would not find my location, would not scan the bar code on key box. It was around 9:30pm in a very bad area. Had to call customer service. Loud train going by so it was hard to hear him. Had to go through web to finally get somewhere. Then had to take pictures of everything. By the time I finally finished an hour past by!

They dont even fill up the gas tank before giving the vehicle? I was also told I could prepay over phone, which I tried to and then the lady told me it's best to tell the pick up location to charge the card on file. When we tried, they told me we couldn't, so we had to use a different company card. Complete laziness on both ends.

I originally had my U-Haul scheduled to be picked up at box road. Arrived at box rd location and to my surprise there was no equipment scheduled for 24/7 truck share. After waiting on hold for 30+ minutes was sent to a different location. I was also charged $10 for appliance dolly but only a utility dolly was provided and I did not receive a refund. This was the worst experience

Have car haulers with ramps that are at a less severe grade. My car doesn't even sit that low and it scraped the bottom of my car pretty badly when the employee guided me up onto the ramps. They also sold me a padlock (one with the U-Haul logo on it) that didn't fit the back door latch on my 20' truck, and I specifically asked if that one would fit and was told, "All of those locks fit these trucks". A little better training on your products would be a good thing.

This was probably the best uhaul experience we've had this far. I even told my husband this was the cleanest location we've seen. We got an updated vehicle that was comfortable to drive and clean inside. The check in and check out process was quick and easy. The individual who checked us in was extremely professional, personable and respectable. All the workers we saw were well dressed, was honestly eyeing up their jackets they were all wearing. They were all just so well put together. I know these things aren't that important but it's truly the first uhaul location I've seen in the past two years that was this clean and overall quick/easy/pleasant experience.

The manager and all the staff members are awesome. The are always friendly and helpful. We moved from Oklahoma to Columbus GA. I didn't feel comfortable dropping the car towing equipment at the burnt down building I was directed to go to, instead of the Uhaul place actually being run, and in a safer location in town. I work for the government and would not leave anything at the destroyed business. I still had to unpack the truck. So I was told when I needed to be back with the truck, to avoid late fees. We drove straight through from Oklahoma and at 55 miles per hour in a truck whose brakes were very questionable, it was not a good drive. I also am a licensed CDL Driver, and that Uhaul which I reported should not be rented out until thorough maintenance was completed, was messed up. Anyway we arrived safely. And if I were to get a position with a state agency, I would not hesitate to to lease at the 930 10th Ave Columbus, GA 31901, location. The young man he help me start and close my 1133 storage rental is amazing and needs an award, or monetary bonus of some kind. Thank you for being there for my family. Respectfully, Lydia B. Replaced the rental truck from Hardy's Auto with another one due to the lack of upkeep on the previous vehicle that was running rough and probably wouldn't have been able to complete the trip....... They charged me $82.37. My husband told me that we didn't go no 34 miles and I got charged for it. I brought the Uhaul truck back a day early. I rented the truck for 2 days but brought it back a day early. I only had to put in $7 to put it back on a half of tank. I'm going in to talk to the manager. Overall I think I was overcharged.

Kendall was awesome with helping me move the trailer I had just unloaded. Unfortunately the climate-controlled unit is exceedingly hot and does not have as much vertical space as I would like. Also the layout of the facility makes it difficult to access your unit even with a small vehicle and it is difficult if not impossible for multiple customers to access units simultaneously. I'm not certain what the employee parking situation is but an employee vehicle had to be moved in order to facilitate the relocation of the rented trailer from near my unit to the desired return/drop-off location.

The problem with the UHaul storage was not the local location, but Uhaul itself. I set up an autopay that NEVER worked - not once did the autopay withdraw funds from my account, try as I might to get it to work. When I called the UHaul national phone number to request help and a refund for a late charge applied despite setting up autopay, the person on the phone refused to help, stating that the fault lay with my bank. They claimed that the funds took a couple more days after the due date to process, which was allegedly my bank's fault. When I tried to have autopay set up for another, earlier date to ensure payments went through on time, I was informed this was not possible. Then I monitored autopay only to find it NEVER withdrew funds at all. I have taken my business elsewhere. While I am a fan of UHaul's trucks and moving services, I was quite disappointed with the customer service I received on this matter calling the national number.

I went to Uhal to make my pass do payment,the weather was really bad. It was raining so I couldn't use your keypad with my password it was down. Your representative gave me a temporary access card to enter the building I left Uhal shorty to retrieve my unit key from home. When I returned couldn't open my unit because there was still a lock on it hours later after I made my past do payment. Having walked in the rain for a employee assistant to remove the lock so I can enter my unit. When I entered the unit I noticed water dripping down the wall of the unit and a puddle on the ground my things where wet. To many issues that could have been handled better.

Had to re-enter access codes multiple times when said "not logged in". The entry door to storage should have a RAMP as opposed to ledge. Difficult to roll heavy objects over curb.

The first month I had the storage unit the sliding door to enter were broken so if I didn't go during office hours when someone could let me in the side door I wasn't able to get in. This was very inconvenient and a bit of a hassle. After a month they finally got it fix. Probably because they were tired of having to let me in weekly. Other that that it was good and if we ever needed to store our belongings again we would consider this location.

One office employee rudely after I backed truck in to unload rudely be told me I had to move the vehicle and Park differently for unloading. The first unit be we rented had a bad roof and was full of water, do we had to rent another dry unit. Could have been a much easier process for the customer.

I rented the unit but could not get access to it because the keycard reader was broken. I was told to come back later and ask office staff to let me into the card-gated hallway to access the unit. I was not told the unit number. Office staff were obviously overworked and too busy for pleasantries. These issues are not the fault of the staff, but the fault of Uhaul. Uhaul needs to provide their staff with adequate resources to do their jobs effectively. Based on this experience I will not use Uhaul for future needs, as their pricing does not reflect their ability to deliver on a consistent and reliable product.

When booking the space online from out of state, I selected the size I need and a unit that was described as "drive up exterior". When we arrived, that is not what we got. Instead we had a unit that was inside a storage building, at the end of a long & narrow hall, with a pole in the middle of the unit. We refused the unit for these reasons. The associate took us back inside and offered us a larger unit, which we accepted. Although the unit was still inside, the hall was wider and the unit was closer to the entrance. When finishing up the rental agreement at the counter, I was asked if I needed to buy a lock; I said no, I had one. It was not pointed out that a specific type of lock was required. A couple weeks later when we return to get a few things out of storage, there's a second lock on our unit with a tag for non-payment. We go to the office because a payment hasn't even been due yet. We were advised that it was because we weren't using the right type of lock, and that housekeeping would continue to put the additional lock on, and we would have to come during office hours to have them unlock it. We weren't happy about this, but said fine. The next time we came, the additional lock is on there and we are now informed that a charge for the lock has been added to our account. I will take ownership that the agreement requires this type of lock, so I paid the fee for the lock without complaint. However, the handling of this is very poor. Rather than lock a paying customer out of their unit, you should at LEAST call to inform them at the first notice. Also, this should truly be explained up front, as I would not have known the difference in lock styles in just reading the agreement. To wrap it all up, we cleared out our unit on 06/13/20, and followed the online instructions for move out on 06/14/20. The move out was not processed until 06/30/20, when I called because I received notice that payment would be due soon. Overall, we only had the unit for 3 months and it was a bad experience from start to finish with customer service. The unit was clean, secure, and well-lit, but the parking and access to the lot is also not ideal; many times we were stuck waiting for others to move a truck or trailer they were renting/dropping off and causing congestion in the lot.

Originally rented storage for $70 that in under 2 years went to $100. That inflation is crazy. 24hr usage is promoted but this facility doesn't allow it. Store vehicles always parked in the way.

The space is very tight. While moving out of my storage, I had to stop three times for other customers to pass through. It was only a couple of experience clerks. Grounds could have been cleaner.
