Yesterday, my day started out badly. On Wednesday I went online to reserve a 10x10 storage unit at the West Rd location. It reflected they were available. When I arrived yesterday I was then informed that they didn't have any available. The manager Rhonda Holliday took over assisting me and her attitude was less than professional. The way she was talking to her employees was simply terrible. She then pretty much told me that it was no way i had a unit reserved even with my confirmation number. There was no way I could have reserved something she didn't have. Again, the way she ways talking with me was less than professional. I then told her that I don't know what was going on but I indeed had a unit reserved. My business was then routed to the 290 and Fairbanks location. When I arrived, Ms. Latoya acknowledged me immediately. I asked if I could take a seat while I waited. She granted my request as I waited. I was very grateful because I was in a lot of pain still recovering from a hip replacement. She then started to assist me. Her customer service was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions were answered and my check in was painless and welcoming. She didn't treat me as if I was a bother to her as Rhonda Holliday did at the West Rd location. Latoya really treated me as a welcomed guest instead of a customer or a number. I am so glad my business was shifted over to the 290 and Fairbanks location. Ms. Latoya and the Fairbanks Crew really have their customer service down like a well oiled machine. TWO THUMBS UP FOR THE FAIRBANKS TEAM FOR A JOB WELL DONE!!! Thank You Ms. Latoya.

So I was charged $148 (it was taken out of my account NO HOLD) and some change whenever I purchased the U-Haul for one day with 50 miles (Monday) and then I had to extend it for another day and I told the lady I wanted it extended and to bring it back at 12 just like my reservation, but come to find out She only extended it until 10:16 in the morning which I had no idea until I received a phone call from U-Haul at 12 saying that I was supposed to have brought it back at 10:16 and that I was getting charged for another day. So when I dropped the truck off Wednesday night because I didn't need to keep it until Thursday are use the app to drop off the truck and then the app was charging me for four days at $80 and then the insurance and taxes it totaled out to be $121 and some change. So I paid literally $269 and some change when I could've just went by day and it would've been cheaper. But thankfully I spoke with a wonderful customer service representative name Melissa and she helped me out to try and figure out what needed to be done

Trailer wasn't clean, it had a large oily spill about a third of the trailer. Also the left side rear light had only two led bulbs out of about 10 working. Speed of service was much better, more personal on duty. Last time only one person was on duty.

The staff in Houston and Augusta went above and beyond. The women who came and dropped off/picked up my ubox were outstanding. With that being said, the box itself is horrible, plywood held together with a broken hinge that has to be replaced after I packed my box. Once my items arrived the contents looked as though they had been tossed around and many pieces of furniture were broken or damaged. I used extra precautions and packed everything safely. This is not my first time moving across the country. But this will be my last time using uhaul ubox. I absolutely will never recommend this service to anyone moving.

I reserved a tow dolly and I realized that I did not have the tow hitch with me as I was driving to the U-HAul. The attendant was very nice and let me barrow what I needed to rent the equipment. With customer service like that, is the reason I recommend this location to anyone.

All went smooth with UBox planning & delivery. One area for UHaul improvement is not all UHaul representatives had the same access to information. I had uploaded instructions and delivery photo to the UHaul website but the local service provider could not see the information and I had to provide again separately.

I have had used 3 previous U-Boxes in the past with no issues. They were handled by a different pickup location I believe (Antoine Dr). THIS box however arrived with several items damaged. Things were very jostled around, much more so than in the past. Several boxes squished and paint rubbed away at places on items. It was as if the box was dropped at some point, and the long haul truck that transported the box must have had no working shock absorbers and bounced the whole way. NOT "Gentle ride shipping" at all.

The key card to enter storage facility only works after swiping it several times. It tells you card access error which is very frustrating. The staff came out and had to swipe the card and had the same issue.

This facility was not very clean and I lost a couch and over sized chair and some luggage to mold and fungus. It wasn't worth reporting and when we asked about it it was said to file a claim. So we closed the unit and went somewhere else that is cleaner and had better ventilation and climate control. I would not ever recommend this facility to anyone. The manager/ owner was really nice, his staff sucked especially when he was gone.

Miss Latoya was very nice and knowledgeable of everything the storage that I reserved was taken. I reserved a 10x10 and when I came from Dallas to check in my storage it was not available I could not check in online because it was not allowing me to. And then the next storage unit the 10x15 there were none available. Now keep in mind I reserved my storage 2 weeks in advance as well as my truck. And when I arrived to the facility they did not have what I reserved. Miss Latoya made it right. I had to accept a 2 5x5 or go to another location which I'm new to the area of Houston.. need to say I was tired and ready to unload this truck we had to make it do. Spoke with the manager Mr Jeffrey. And he said that he would take care of everything. And make everything right for me before my storage unit is due on next month and I'm looking forward to him holding his word because this was a very big increase. Since I've been traveling from Las colinas in the Dallas area. To Houston. Miss Latoya was very friendly and was working very hard at multitasking because some other co-workers had called off and she was doing her best to assist and help everyone in a timely manner. Miss Latoya is the best. ☺️✅

Jeffrey Kern is a fantastic U-Haul manager. The facility is clean and well organized. The staff is very helpful, and checking accounts for 5 units was no problem, especially setting up auto draft. The elevators and restrooms always worked. The trucks we rented also worked perfectly.

I called the property management before getting the rental he told me it would have the 24/h access … it didn’t called him back he told me I had to go back on line and add it my my account after about two hours of trying to figure it out I called him back and he was like it’s there but I can’t help … so I spent another hour trying to figure it out I ended up calling customer support and she told me I would have had to go in person to the office to get 24/h access .. she helped me cancel the order and told me I will get a refund but I still haven’t received it

Everything in my unit was stolen. Including a $1500 washer and dryer set as well as roughly 60 of my passed mothers nursing books. Cannot recommend a place where stuff isn't safe.

My storage was safe but someone threw some shoe sandles and shoes into my storage it had a few openings on the sides on top and broke my glass on china cabinet. I had to remove the glass and when I opened my storage this Winters all my stuff was reorganizated differently. I found a rat trap in the middle back section of my storage. And a medal vase I has was damage some boxes tore from the reorganizating. Still looking for a coushion to one of my couches. I left the storage on June 12 and waiting on my pro-rate refund.. My due day is the 17th. I have insurance with uhaul and will look to see if they will pay me for damages. The lady closed the account and I asked for refund and damages she will talk manager: Jeff .. and said he will call me.

Jeffrey and his staff are professionals and knowledgeable about moving and storage. I have recently had two moving experiences in my family. A new home purchase in town and a job assignment move to another state. Jeffrey and his staff were able to help me with the size of truck and supplies that I needed for my move. As well as a storage room that fit my needs. No only were the staff friendly the other clients at this Uhaul location were friendly and helping each other out in many positive ways. My experience was horrible. This facility is beyond unprofessional, I've had multiple issues with my storage unit access and all the employees have loaded excuses or just tell you the manager isn't there and to come back which isn't really helpful when you need assistance immediately. One day I needed access to my unit and my key didn't work which was odd because I did not change my lock, I go to the front desk and someone changed my units lock without notifying me or giving me a copy of the new key. When I asked for an explanation as to why management changed my lock and did not call me, I wasn't given an answer just "we changed it for security purposes" which I think is concerning. They also didn't have the new key labeled and a employee had to go through a plastic bag of unit keys to try to find the new key for the new lock. That was exhausting. I decided to move out my unit because my experience has been the worse. I move my stuff out, go to the storage two days later to see that they already cleaned my unit and secured it with a "customer ready" tag before I could even tell the front counter I wanted to start the move out process. I'm so grateful to never have to deal with this location or uhaul specifically ever again.

customer service at this location was very good and provided excellent customer service The issue I have is with your rental location at 4021 N INTERSTATE 35 in AUSTIN where I picked up the truck. The dash had a warning message that the RR tire was low s d the front desk person said she could not help me which was not safe and poor customer service. I had to take the truck to a station. to get it taken care of of. In addition I got other warning ⚠️ messages while driving the truck back to Houston. I once paid my bill over the phone using my debit card and shortly afterwards had all kinds of charges that was not mines. I felt like the guy I gave my information to over the phone at the 290 facility stole my information. I couldn't prove it, but just FYI. He no longer works there.

Very simple, quick, and easy. I was a bit taken aback by the "critter trap" inside the storage closet, when I moved in and stopped in the store to ask about it. Verified that all units have one but wondering how you'd remove it, if necessary as it's at the back and my stuff is in front of it. 樂 Guess we'll cross that bridge when and if we come to it. Thanks for a simple process and move in.

It was a young lady that got an attitude with me because I did not know the procedures of setting up an account. I did not know that you needed three contact phone numbers. Had I been told that beforehand the process would not have been as complicated. Then when I opened up the storage unit there were pest traps all over the floor. I went downstairs to ask the about them and they told me to just leave them in there. Which made no sense to me because the floor was almost completely covered with the sticky traps. So my experience was not the best. The owner was friendly and helpful.

From Day 1 I had issues getting in/out my storage! The lock was damaged and I had to have assistance from a member in the office every visit. We had to beat the lock open/closed to secure it! I made several complaints, nothing was done but I was billed every month on time for a broken storage. I couldnt enter the storage outside of operating hours because it required assistance.

The only problem I ever had with them was that sometimes they were unable to take cash payments because they didn't have a key to the register until the manager or somebody came. Very inconvenient.

The store did not have my Ubox/truck ready (requested it 2 days before) . I waited for 2 and a half hours for them to correct this mistake and I missed valuable moving time. Will not return to uhaul

Never was at the facility so I can't comment on the physical place. I had my Uhaul box shipped from FL to Houston and then delivered to my home and unloaded on scheduled.

Truck rental was excellent. The storage experience was below average. I was quoted $64,1 for my storage from reservation. When arrived, I was informed that the actual rental was $129.00. Unacceptable
