New Bern site did a good job, knowledgeable and friendly. Original reservation was at 716 Capital Blvd but they did not have reserved equipment at pickup and was a disorganized, dirty mess with disinterested staff. I WILL NOT reserve from the Capital Blvd location again.

I only needed the vehicle to move a bed and I clocked the mileage when I got in the truck and took a picture of it as well and from start to finish I only went 16 miles and somehow they managed to charge me $130 and even though I clocked my mileage. Before I took the vehicle a young guy who work there came up to me and told me make sure you take a picture of the mileage before you leave because they always b******* with the mileage and that is your proof and this was coming from a young man who worked there now I called to speak with a manager about it and a black guy at the front told me she wasn't there and I asked him was she the same lady that was sitting beside him when I first came to get the vehicle and he said yes I said well she is there because I just seen her in the back when I was picking my personal car back up and he stumbled over himself not knowing how to explain to me why he wasn't I'm going to put the manager on the phone because he told me she wasn't there but she clearly was there.

Never using this company again. The location and the representatives were great, however the fees paid forward are not the only charges and they do not tell you! You find out by charges on your card about 15-30 minutes after you return the rental. First, and last time I use this service.

I am known as Big Ed, I have been renting from this location for over 15 years 3 managers that really stand out are Chuck , Arica , and now Maria and her assistant Rob these people have made my experiences with this Location 5 star . Must add that this location has added some new team members and unfortunately I don't remember their name but these added team members are fantastic as well . Great Job bringing this location back too where it once was 

We rented storage units from U-Haul in North Carolina for 15 years never once was forced to pay for insurance on a unit at this location we had no choice but to pay for insurance on the unit. The building has a mildew smell and there's air fresheners plugged in the walls to try to hide it not the standard we are used to when we running from U-Haul for the past 15 years

Next please make sure the truck is full with gas. The truck they gave me only had less then 1/4 where I had to leave the lot and go to the gas station

I used the online app to save time and I still had to wait for over 15 minutes just to get a key. Then as the U-Haul associate moved the truck and stated that the truck was ready. I drive off and get to my destination and there are blankets and an appliance dolly in the back of the truck. So apparently the truck had not been inspected for the next customer to use. I was afraid that I would be charged for equipment that I didn't request through the online app.

The assistant manager at this location wasn’t very knowledgeable and he took up a lot of my time by not trying to figure out the problem himself before calling customer service to figure it out when he clearly saw the problem with the pricing.

I confirmed in advance twice that I'd be able to pick up my truck and trailer at 7:30am even though they opened at 9:00am. Two different people said that it. would be fine with no problems. The morning of, i called because i couldn't find the keys and they told me i couldn't take the trailer without someone there to hook it up. Pretty upsetting seeing as i had a 16 hour drive ahead of me.

The storage has bad parking and turn around area that I didn't realize when booking. Very tight. Witnessed someone almost take out storage because of the tight driving conditions without any turn arround area.

I had no issues for the duration of my rental. I'm thankful for the staff who were very helpful. On the day I moved in, I was coming from DC and traffic had me running up against closing time and when I called and told them my situation, they were willing to stay open a few minutes after closing time to check me in to my unit. On the day that I was due to check out they were willing to extend the hours. Again super thankful for each team and their customer service over the years of my rental.

Over the years I have rented many many trucks from this location and after Chuck left I saw a decline in the service of this location recently there's a new manager there. She is absolutely awesome and she seems to have a great staff around her. This is a good location again.

Rented an auto transport. Had 2 go to auto parts store and get a can of wd40 and Had to work on the ratchet for the wheel strap for a half hr in the pouring rain to get it freed up and working so i could load the car safely on the trailer. Told attendant upon return and they acted like they could give a care less. Said they would "note it". Kinda expected a lil more than that but I guess not with U Haul. U should say, u haul, u fix, then maybe u haul.

The truck I rented needs to be replaced. Not shifting properly causing it to use a lot of gas and has very little power. It should not have cost me $21 in gas to go 70 miles. At $2,93/gallon that's 9,76 miles to the gallon. Ludicrous.

in understanding how short staff your store is, I would have to say the nice lady ( I wish I could remember her name) was so helpful and did everything she could do to her job. if i was running this store, she would be employee of the month. she kept everything running great and did her job like a trooper. this type of person is very rare to see in someone. do everything you can to keep her there.

I have done business' with this U-Haul store for many years. I have been thankful that the staff have been very helpful and enjoyable to work with. However , this final encounter was not at all pleasant. I urge you to look at the security footage. and you may decide for yourself if the Young Assistant manager was acting appropriately. I asked for help and was told I was Racist , Disabled, and a Sweaty ... So Please Take a look at your footage. Merci!

Accessing the storage unit is extremely difficult, due to how close the units and trailers sit in relation to one another. This makes backing a trailer/truck to the unit for loading cumbersome. There needs to be more space to be able to pull a vehicle and trailer to the unit.

I called customer service because I was having issues checking in (the office didn't open till 9 and it was 8:30) and I was transferred 3 different times, spoke to 4 different people. None of which told me I needed to check in at a different door before I could open the regular door. The woman inside the office was helpful, but I was very frustrated that literally no one bothered to try and figure out my issue.

The representative who helped me was the best I've ever dealt with at a Uhaul location. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and more Uhaul staff should be like him. No one likes moving or storing stuff but he made the day a lot more pleasant just by doing his job.

There are never enough people at the counter & lines often back up. Moving out I waited about 40 minutes for two people ahead of me. The guy went as fast as he could, it wasn't his fault, it was fault of not having another person working. Where I picked up my trailer in Montana they always had 2-4 people working and no waits were ever a thing. When moving in I didn't understand the term on the website about the storage being up on a platform (split level), so when I arrived and realized I had to walk my stuff up every time without my Dolly or an elevator I wasn't happy... obviously this was my mistake, so I don't blame the facility, but clearer language on the website as to elevator/stairs only access would have been helpful. Each time it took me about an hour and 25+ trips which would have been done in 25 % of that time had I went somewhere with a elevator and Dolly access. The mouse traps I guess are necessary, but definitely not a great impression of the place. Some of the poison got on my stuff (I'm guessing from a pest that escaped it). I'd have preferred the storages been sealed up right and less risk of pests as to not need that. The move in process was smooth & once I was seen (after 40 min of waiting in line) so was the move out, so the staff that was there were all good.

Found dead mice & dropping everywhere in the unit. Many valuable items were destroyed & had to throw away…staff was notified same day & witnessed it…claim was filed with Uhaul insurance & Insurance did not cover for my loss. Manager did stat that they've had this problem & didn't send a notice so I'm very disappointed & will NEVER use this company again.

It could be that I just don't know but I just don't understand why there are dollies but you can't get them up the stairs. You also have to fight to get the dolly over the step at the door. It's hard.

I didn't get her name, but the young lady behind the desk - and she has been there on previous times I've used this facility in the past year and a bit longer - is a remarkable person to handle so many customers and maintain her cool and professionalism. She is AWESOME ! give that woman a raise ! Everybody at this facility has been wonderful when I've used them to move (July 2019) or for storage (April 2020 to now).

The facility was not "temperature controlled" as advertised. I was forced to find other accommodations to store my belongings as the U-Haul unit was much too hot. This issue lingered on for 3 weeks and I had no choice but to move my belongings to another storage facility.

Office staff=very nice. My neg. experience = HQ vs. local. it took 2 phone calls + driving to location to be recognized as "out". :( Facility tiny. Couldn't leave b/c blocked drive when truck loaded.
