I arrived with a reservation to find five people in front of me and one person behind the counter. Service was extremely slow and I waited at least 40 minutes.. I had booked the trailer for 6 hours and pick up was at 9:00. Then the fellow behind the counter asks so you'll be back before 3:00. I said no not now after getting out of here so late. Service was friendly. However, I've seen molasses in winter time move faster.

My rental pick up location was changed, uhaul offers a reservation guarantee but they didn't honor their own terms. My last rental the week before got changed from a 26ft truck to a 20ft, then canceled and replaced with a busted 6x12 trailer, again no reservation guarantee honored. Terrible in all regards as a company. However the people at this center are very professional and helpful!

Vehicle: Steering wheel had a lot of play. The suspensions of the vehicle does not seem balanced and well maintained. The driver's door barely shuts. Have to use a lot of force and slam the door to make sure it is shut. Online checkin: The app/website was able to read the barcode of driver's license but unable to submit. Overall spent too much time on the app dealing with issues to check in and pick up vehicle. After that, spent 15 min trying to find key to vehicle. Supposed to be in compartment 1, which was rusted and kept open and empty. Finally got to know that it is kept in the back of the vehicle. Was very late to appointment and overall experience was very bad. I seem to have spent money on dealing with the U-Haul issues instead of my actual task.

Staff and office were great. The storage unit itself was disgusting. As soon as you open the outside access to enter the storage facility there was an overwhelming smell of mildew and mold. I fear all my things will be ruined when I take them out of your facility.

U hual rips people off... 96 uhual only has one staff member that is respectful and friendly thats Rejane Goretzky. Rest of team is garbage and should be fired just like u hual should be shut down in general.... it's not right to rip people off when they paid for there trucks then returned them and them get nailed with 700 $ bill cuz a staff member didn't like us so she nails you for every charge she can. U hual is a rip off an I don't recommend to anyone not for trucks nor storage.

I think there should be a way to reduce cost for the customer -when the vehicle is needed only for 2-3 hours, as was the case with me today. $19,95/day OR $19,95 for 2-hours too? Just an idea...since you asked. I have used you before and it's been for longer periods of time, but there are occassions where a truck/van is needed for shorter periods of time. No complaints though. Thanks for your service just the same.

I had a good experience. No hassle at all. The process was quick and the option to check-in online made it even easier. The equipment was clean and in good condition. Only disappointment was that I wanted a dolly and booked one in advance but on the day of collection was told "not available" - I wasn't charged for it but if I had the dolly it would have made moving a lot faster for me

First time renting from U-Hauj that’s why average overall answer…van was clean on the inside but the outside was dirty…I would use U-Haul again

Make sure the vehicle is present and ready when the customer comes to pick it up. I had to go to a farther location for my van and they didn't have the equipment I reserved weeks earlier. I was moving and this experience was a horrible start and effected the rest of the day.

This was such a smooth service. I was in and out of the office with my vehicle in minutes. I had signed up for the 24/7 service and had some problems checking in. The service rep signed me in and got me on my way quickly and efficiently. The same upon return of the truck I was greeted warmly and checkout was quick and efficient. I highly recommend this U-Haul dealer.

I rented a cargo van, however when i arrived at location, i was told there was no cargo van available as they could not find the keys. Apparently a mechanic repaired vehicle and unknown where keys were. They had an 8ft pu truck available or i could drive to another location to get cargo van. Rather then waste more time, I took pu truck. Bad mistake as later during my travels it was raining. We pu some items from 2 furniture places and had to cover them with wrapping plastic which wasted a total of 30 mins for no reason if we had cargo van. Then bed of pu truck was filthy and should of been washed out or cleaned as we had to again put something on pu bed. I would appreciate some sort of credit if possible. The only bright note was lady at reception Regaine was very polite, quick, however gave me someone elses printout of receipt i later found out went i went home. Is there anyway to increase the size of font on receipt, very small and hard to read. The location is fine, equipement bed dirty, can not recommend because equipment i reserved not there.

When i went to pick up vehicle i found the lady at reception, with a nose piercing, to be very sarcastic and bad, negative attitude.Very poor customer service, and remarking about another customers vehicle parked in wrong spot, thats their problem. When i dropped vehicle off later that day around 4pm, met attendant, Arham Jain outside who checked vehicle in. The facility is in an easy to get to location and convenient access hours. The portable storage containers and larger work vehicles (such as Snap It Tool cube trucks) were at times parked (stored) in the common access areas of the locker door access that made ingress and egress difficult at times. My more recent visits, I noticed that this was corrected as the containers and vehicles were relocated.

My unit number kept falling off. Couldn't see inside the unit very well. Always uhauls parked in and around making it less convenient for loading/unloading. When I was offered a second "month free" unit after renting another truck (3rd unit), I was told I could stay in one of my current free units for an additional month without having to move completely. Then was charged for that next "1st month." Not impressed with the lack of understanding around this issue from customer service/booking point of contact to the dealer location. I was not told that I would have to use the 1st free month at a completely new location or forfeit it. I would have moved all of my storage out of both original units the day I rented the truck (for that exact reason). Very irritating and waste of money.

Staff don't pay attention. Told them I had vacated my unit and still received a bill. I had rented a truck, and returned it at the appropriate fuel level, then received an 88$ bill for gas. This place is an absolute joke, the only person there who was competent was fired for no real good reason after 25 years with the company. I tried to contact corporate about this issue, no response. Company does not care about anything but money and scamming people. New manager sucks, she wouldn't even come out to do the inspection on the truck even though I had made it there a minute or so before closing. They won't get a penny out of me and I'll dispute any charges put against my credit. Will never use you guys for anything ever again.

My locker was broken into and when talking to the manager I did not feel they were professional or even cared. Irriplacablenthings were taken and we were not notified of any incident and yet the prices were continuing to increase even though clearly security was not up to standard.

I had 2 unboxes that were apparently stored at your Abbotsford location.They were suppose to be delivered to the 96th ave location on Friday to be emptied into a storage unit at 10 am Saturday morning.We had to wait for the guy to drive to PortMoody to bring them and then had to wait some more while he loaded uboxes onto a truck.just not the best customer service especially when we were on a time line.There was no compensation offered only a 50 credit if I waited til Monday.

Near my specific unit there were multiple screws and nails on the ground which I could have easily ran over and punctured a hole in my tire. Unit are semi secure compared to another I just got somewhere else. For roughly the same price and size (actually I gain two feet at the new locker place) and each unit has an alarm on it in addition to a code at the front gate to just get in. I did like how convenient uhaul was. Being able to access my unit anytime of day was great. My biggest concern here at uhaul is all the nails and screws on the ground. Oh also I bright you my units light bulb was out and someone at the front told be that they can't have lights in the units anymore for safety reasons.. but I see units where people are working out of them and have music setup with big speakers and ton of speakers. I don't care about the music or using it as a work space but don't tell one person they can't a light in their unit when others have full blown workshop setup in theirs

I showed up yesterday to get the keys to a 10 x 10 unit that I had reserved online. The staff could not have been kinder, more accommodating, and friendly. The young man who checked me out was polite and attentive. The office was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the location manager was just a great person. She was funny, professional, and patient with me. I just want to thank them for making this part of my journey to BC a joy. I would recommend this location to anyone and will be using it myself again in the future.

Denise Ausma and crew are the very best I've ever met. They took care of my storage for three years while I was in and out of Vancouver area. They are in four kills which is very convenient for me. I finally moved out after deciding to relocate to kelowna. Denise was efficient friendly and help me. In fact her son-in-law who also works at Uhaul got me my truck to get back to Denise. Denise is a networker and she's awesome and very kind and very strong. She doesn't put up with crap from bozos. She's the best.

I talked with Deneice after reserving online and she was very nice. She guided and answered my questions. When I came to get my unit Deneice had all the paperwork ready and so it only took 5 minutes to have access to my unit. I love how secure it is and my unit is so clean and ready to go. Perfect size for what I need and well priced!

I am VERY thankful to have received free storage with the rental of a Uhaul truck. It made a huge difference in having the "time" to deal with my stuff. The staff was always very helpful and pleasant. The only problem was the boxes stored there had a "unpleasant' smell to them... Unit 011-3. Musty, like maybe there had been a flood at one time or something ?? Or from what was stored there prior? If I didn't experience that I may have kept things in storage longer. So that is why I couldn't say clean and well maintained .... I was in and out 'fast' so I can't say much about the rest of the facility.... perhaps it's just that unit's smell issue? The staff always seemed to be working hard. So I would recommend that facility to others.

This location was very helpful. The staff accommodated us well. But the booking system on the website is terrible. Reserving a unit online does not guarantee that unit when you show up. This location can't do anything about U-Haul's site, and they did everything in their power to help us, but the site is definitely a problem. 5 stars for this location. 0 stars for U Haul website

Denise, was most helpful, the unit is larger than we needed and it was clean (small stains on floor would be normal) the only issue we will monitor is a wet area along the Block wall portion. The complex is neat tidy and clean so we foresee no further issues. The staff is friendly and careful with social distances and cleanliness.

The online reservation system has some serious flaws, it allowed me to make a reservation and time my entire move around a location that had no availability, but I think her name was Alyssa at the 56th st langley location was so kind and helpful, as well as the staff at the port kells location, I really was impressed and will definitely come back.

A little bit disappointed that my credit card was charged right away when i was told that my first month was free however i didn't realize until i left the office so not the staffs fault but if someone could please correct this for me. There were shelves in the unit. I'm not sure if it was suppose to have shelves or not, i would prefer no shelves however i can manage and work around them

We had a reservation, but when we showed up on move-in day they didn't have a unit available. Luckily someone was moving out that same day, so we got a unit the same size in the afternoon, but it wasn't a drive up like we had reserved. Aside from the missing reservation, the staff was helpful and the storage unit was clean and easily accessible.

This past Saturday I went to get a bigger unit than I'm currently in. Last weekend I was told that there was a unit but I would need to be cleaned first. I said that's fine I'll come next weekend to swap units. Fast forward to the following weekend. My unit wasn't clean, there was broken peanut shells and dirt in the unit. I had to ask for a broom to sweep it out myself. Also the latch to close my unit wasn't lining up properly so I could put a lock on it. I brought it to the staff attention and they can't get a maintenance guy in until Monday, it's Saturday, so my unit will be unlocked for the time being. What was offered is to put a van up close to the door of my unit. There are gates and cameras and I do feel some what safe, but no discount, fees waived or curtesy insurance as an offer for something that's out of my control and should be done and checked by the facility. You are providing a service I'd hope that at the minimum it would be clean and all units are in proper working order. I've had no issue getting my original locker a few years ago. Smooth and seamless. This experience not so much. I will say staff were friendly though

When I came to empty the storage locker, all the stuff that was along the left wall was covered in bird droppings. Obviously the perimeter of the building is not visually inspected regularly. I mentioned the bird droppings to the girl checking me out and she just said she'd make a note of it. This is disappointing and unacceptable.

They made my move so easy coming from victoria to Vancouver. I came late because of making a late ferry. They made it easy for me to drop off my truck at their location which saved me time and money. Fair prices unlike some of the other storage places which I find their fees outrageous. Much appreciated.

The Storage was Fine. U hauls billing is difficult, to say the least. Even though I was set up for automatic payment, it never worked. I was immediately assigned a punitive penalty, and a letter was sent to my 90-year-old mother in law saying I was behind on payments. THAT was not good. (She was set up as the alternative contact when I set up the account). Initially, I was told there was nothing they could do until I got quite angry. Then the penalty was waived. Every month I had to pay manually because the automatic payment system never worked. Often I had to call in to make sure no penalty would be applied because your website payment system was down. It really was a waste of my time. I can't believe a company the size of Uhaul has such a crappy payment system. This is the reason you are getting an "Average" rating.

Honestly, I can't complain about anything. Denise and her staff were great. Our storage locker door broke at one point and staff had it fixed within an hour. Very fast, very convenient. We rented a locker for over 6 months at this location. Never realized storage was so pricey but we needed it and didn't have a choice. Overall I would highly recommend this location. I've also rented trucks from them in the past and have never run into any issues.

If I could rate lower than "POOR" i definitely would !!!!!! My move involved one screw up after then other and my move that should have taken approximately 5 hours at the most ended up taking double that amount of time !!! The staff at both of the locations I dealt with where very helpful as best they could and I commend them for that. The issue seems to be with the call center and possibly the Langley location where a truck was supposed to be reserved for me as of August 10th, but THIS DID NOT HAPPEN!!!!! Then the locker I was supposed to have at the 84th Avenue, Surrey location was suddenly NOT AVAILABLE (staff was able to locate one at the 96th Str. Langley location which meant MORE traveling back and forth), then when I mentioned leaving the truck at the 84th Ave location (I had been told by the call center I could leave the truck at a different location from where I picked it up at to get the one month free locker and U-box rental, WHICH I AM ALSO FRUSTRATED ABOUT AS NO ONE HAS GIVEN ANY ASSISTANCE ON HOW TO CONFIRM/ACTIVATE THIS, and there is nothing about this showing on my account, also I was never instructed to confirm with which ever location I was going to drop off the truck at to make sure this was possible!!!!!. Edward at the 84th Ave location was very patient and helpful. I said to Edward that I should be an additional one month free on the U-boxes and locker because of the crap I was having to deal with yesterday and how frustrated and angry I was was going to speak to his manager and look into this but I've heard nothing yet. Denise at the 96th Str location was very helpful as well seeing how upset and frustrated I was and allowed me to leave the truck at that location. All in all, if I could have at a moments notice moved my belongings into another facility at the same cost I would have. I am extremely disappointed with how my move ended up going and I will NOT be recommending U-Haul to anyone at this point. I await and expect to hear from someone with some authority. The management and staff at the Langley BC location on 96th are the best you have anywhere in your system. Both vehicle rental and storage were purchased there and every interaction was fantastic. Definitely I would use them again at any need.

There were rat dropping in over abundance in the unit I had no food or items that would bring them in I had to throw out everything. Pillows, comforter, carpet and other items

Rodent problem ongoing for 1 year in storage locker. If you do not purchase UHaul insurance, Uhaul will not address damage. Overhead door broken for 21/2 months before it was fixed.
