Inside of trailer had gas spill on the floor so obviously no one checked it. This ruined my daughter's move as trailer reeked of gas fumes. Attendant was quick to tell me to return trailer clean but didn't bother to check himself.

I have had great experience with the staff there. They have been very accommodating. The last time I rented a truck it was dirty inside, but in their defense, it was a very messy time of year (melting spring). Previously I had rented a truck and auto transport trailer and the turn signal wiring was defective on the trailer, which then blew a fuse in the truck. This added almost 30 minutes to the time of my booked rental to sort out, which was mildly aggravating as I did have a schedule I was trying to adhere to. In the end, all of the equipment has functioned flawlessly on the road, including a trip across the prairies.

I had a bad experience initially as i was given a small storage despite telling them that I was moving property from 1bedroom apartment. During the process of getting a bigger storage the next day, the U-Haul van I hired was broken into, the van ignition was vandalized and my valuables were stolen.

The staff was very helpful at recommending the right type of equipment for the snowy conditions and very hands on at defrosting and scraping the windows. If there were overnight covers for the side mirrors and windshields would have been much easier, safer and avoided wasting almost a full can of windshield washer trying to clean 2cm of pure ice from the mirrors from yesterday's rain/snow

The girl at customer service needs to learn some customer service skills. No smile, no greeting and it felt like that she's getting underpaid or she's not happy at her work place. I got what I needed. However, that girl needs to learn some customer service skills. I think her name was Rajan. I'm not sure.

Title: Terrible Customer Service Experience: Rude and Unhelpful Staff My recent interaction with UHAULs customer service left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. The representative I dealt with was not only unhelpful but also shockingly rude. From the moment I initiated contact, it was clear that this individual had no interest in providing assistance. Instead of addressing my questions and concerns with professionalism, they adopted a condescending tone, as if I were inconveniencing them by seeking help. What struck me the most was their unwarranted rudeness and attitude. It felt like they believed I was trying to pull a fast one, as if I were attempting to scam the company by asking legitimate questions about the trailer rental process. Their demeanor was hostile and dismissive, making me feel unwelcome and disrespected as a customer. Moreover, their responses to my inquiries were vague and uninformative, adding to my frustration and confusion. It was evident that they lacked the patience and willingness to assist me properly, choosing instead to brush off my concerns with curt replies. Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The combination of rudeness, unhelpfulness, and disdainful behavior left a sour taste in my mouth. It's truly disappointing to encounter such subpar service from a company that should prioritize customer satisfaction. Needless to say, I will not be recommending this location to anyone based on this encounter.

My code didn't work so I couldn't access the building, the second floor wasn't a floor at all but a locker on top of another unit which could only be accessed by a ladder so I couldn't even get most of my larger items up there. Overall a terrible experience

The description said my unit was on the second floor, turns out there is no second floor and I had to hoist all my things up a ladder (NOT HAPPY)!! Then I was assured I would have access to my unit until 10 pm but the code I was given didn't work so I was sitting outside the building with a friend and I couldn't access my unit, VERY unhappy with the service. I want my stuff and my money back

Great service from U-Haul personnel! Fast and efficient. I was at the location half an hour early and they had no issues serving me earlier. It was my first time using U-Haul service and it was impeccable. Really, U-haul was the last thing one have to worry about during the move. Great job you guys!

The self pick up process is not so friendly, the lock to acces the keys was to hard to open, speacially when your are try at -10°. Anyway the instructions are clear enough to follow but it is not 15 minutes as video said, specially for begginers.

There is a sign on the side of the road on route 90 south of the exit that really impaires safety as it blocks vision. I fear a bad collision will occur if it hasn't already.

Truck was extremely dirty. I had to go to a gas station to clean the mirrors and windows to drive safe. The staff were not responsive at all. I mentioned before and after the rental. The city roads were completely dry and the truck could have easily been washed outside before it was rented out. Appears to be lazy or unaware staff. I was just given excuses that it "takes 20 minutes to was a truck" and "you don't understand". I would not recommend this business or location for future business.

On minus 20 days have the staff make sure snow and ice are removed from windshields and insure back door isn't frozen shut.

The staff at this location didn't seem to be very happy to be there. This was at both the pickup and drop off experiences. The vehicle was not washed and not very clean inside or outside. Some damage on a front lip was noted and reported prior to taking the truck. The ignition would require constant jiggling of the key before it would turn and start the truck. In the end, the cost was cheap so I assume one gets what they pay for....

The truck was clean but the check engine e light was on from the time we picked it up. Difficult to start at one point thought I would need to get help.Driver door did not close properly. Staff was excellent.

Have someone else help to put the 12 ft enclosed trailer on hitch instead of myself helping him lift it on as I have a bad back but did it anyway, or have a jack to safely lift it up as tongue weight is to heavy for one guy

I had booked a car hauling trailer for our move across canada from smithers, BC to Winnipeg, MB. the day before my scheduled pickup I was informed that the only available trailer was a 6 hr one way drive away in Quesnel, BC. I had to call all around and beg for a tow dolly located in Smithers, BC which led to significant cost and time that I did not have requiring us to remove our driveshaft as our car is AWD. The dolly had straps that had been cut short and just barely reached around our tires and the ratchets were terrifically rusty. The 26' truck seemed in good shape and new enough but I was informed (also the day before pickup) that I was responsible for tire chains, which I had given away with my truck a week prior. It would have been very nice if this was all laid out at the time of booking. The truck was also not properly equipped for winter driving as it did not have an adjustable cover on the front grill. This led to a dangerous situation where the coolant was not maintaining temperature on the highway and if I was not vigilant it would have left me stranded in the cold.

Employees were parked in front of the trailer I rented, stall member wasn't strong enough to move trailer so I had to. Then the next day I got a call from UHaul asking if I was going to return the trailer I rented. I had returned during business hours, parked 30 feet front the entrance yet your staff couldn't be bothered to look for it, but called me insinuating I hadn't returned it. I believe there are many cameras around and had they bothered to look they would have found that I did return it that same day. Not impressed, won't be going to this location again unless absolutely necessary. Have already told a few ppl as well. Very poor experience

Once I made the reservation, I called an hr later and the lady was very friendly. She went over and beyond and quickly found exactly what I needed. I forgot her name. Hopefully it's attached to my file. Thank you whomever you are. 10/10

I have great interaction with the staff at this location. I like the fact I can hand off the key, not having to wait around while they do the invoice and I feel I can trust them when they do the invoice. I will be back.

I mistakenly left a box of caulking and a brand new caulking gun in the back of the truck when it was returned. The next day I called the location to see if they had found it and the person said that he had found it. He also told me that he threw it in the bin. When I asked why he would throw new tools and supplies out he responded, "Why would you leave it in the truck". Not really customer service oriented. Needless to say, I'm very unhappy with Uhaul. I know it was my mistake, but it was obviously not garbage and now I'm out about $400.

I think putting jacks on the front of the trailers so people can easily take off and put on the trailers with out hurting there backs would be a great idea

The online process doesn't work well - it wouldn't let me take a picture before or after. Luckily I was getting the truck during office hours and I was able to get help. I just left the truck after hours without taking a picture but it worked out.

I had to wait 2 hours to be attended and in the end he did not have refund money. I then had to drive 20 minutes to another location to drop the traker off and get fedund mo money at century. ,They were excellent.

When someone calls down to the office to speak to someone and ask if we can use any type of card we get told yes there would be no DEPOSIT or PROBLEMS that we go and find out there’s problems it needs to be solved on communication and we did not give any type of permission to take money from my sons friend when we specifically told you guys we want to pay it… not a very good experience

Cigarette smoke was unbearable: had to spray and buy air freshener. Truck bed was full of cardboard and paper under the snow and when I went on the highway it started blowing out and hitting other vehicles. I had to stop at a gas station and get two tall men to reach in and empty it for me !! Detail your trucks properly then have another employee check them over before yo hand them over to your customer !!

This U-Haul storage facility was very secure and I had plenty of peace knowing all my stuff, which I moved everything from out of town for a month, was not going to be damaged. The storage is an excellent place of cleanliness! A few staff including the manager were very helpful in working with costs of rental as I communicated in advance. Cons: While that part was excellent, my lower average rating is due in part to the gruff, aloofness and unhelpful attitude of a few other staff. There was a misunderstanding near the end of my rental (needing one extra week, which I talked to the manager a week before the rental renew due date) and they locked my storage. There was a $50 dollar arrangement for the final week, but refused to unlock my storage unless I paid the full month and when I asked them to call the manager, they refused and so I had to come in when the manager was back. My feedback to this specific U-Haul location is to invest in customer service training for multiple staff. Attitude towards customers for a few staff were below average. That's why I rate at average.

When I received my 5x10 storage locker, the person working opened the unit then apologized because the unit had not been cleaned, and the cleaner would not be back until the next week. This was frustrating and I wish they had offered me another unit that was ready to go.

There was all the equipment I needed (dollies and a step ladder), and the storage unit was in great shape with rodent control and a new padlock. Staff were absolutely excellent. The staff on the phone was less helpful.

I payed for a storage unit have not moved in and I went to pick up the trailer I rented and get the items I needed the storage unit for and when I got there the guy at the front was not helpful at all and didn't. Even help me find the unit and told me he couldn't help me because I didn't have a drivers license. And when I said well I payed for these things already…for some reason he thought it was funny and then told me no I haven't. But I was charged but refunded for the trailer and equipment I rented. But never got my money back for the storage unit

I used the storage facility for 5 months. I had access to my locker at all times, even after hours. I had one minor issue, and it was dealt with immediately and professionally. They lady that works the dayshift ( I can't remember her name) is fantastic to deal with. Being in customer service myself, I have to say she does an amazing job. I would definitely recommend thos location.

Very poor customer service, which the staff did not have the decency to have a positive attitude or handle things in a matter that I didn't have to run around and come back 3 times just to get access to my locker again when I had everything paid up to date. There were things they never told me about when I started renting there including using their locks only. I had been using my lock for the last 5 months, and now they decide to pull this stunt on me!! Also, while trying to get access to my locker with getting this lock situation sorted out, they impersonated my roommate who had not even been around Winnipeg at the time of the day they claimed he was there trying to say he came here, which he never ever went to this facility at all!! It was only myself who ever came to this facility!! So I felt this place couldn't be trusted anymore. Then the manager of this place also acted like she didn't remember anything that happened too. So ya personally stay away from this location at all cost!!!

Liz had excellent customer service skills. She gave me a tour and had excellent knowledge and answered all of my questions. She was very polite and took the time to make sure I understood everything! I cannot answer whether the office hours or access hours are sufficient. I would think the office hours would be fine. With my current situation, longer access hours would be helpful, but I understand you are only open until 7:00pm. I don't feel safe as a female using the side door by myself after hours. If there was access to the regular entrance where you could enter and close the overhead doors behind you, I would feel safer.

Storage access hours where inconvenient. Most the staff where miserable. Overheard doors where mostly inoperable. Facility was clean. Fair pricing for vehicle rentals.I wanted to rent a smaller van but the attendants said they where not available but on arrival several where still in the lot. I would recommend the facility only because of affordability.

Everything was clean except for the bottom of the roll-up door. The facility is mildly heated and the bathroom inside is a nice added touch. I will always use Uhaul for moving, storage, and another hitch install if need be.

This was my first time renting storage. It was straightforward. You get a contract, they show you to your unit, gives you rules and policy. It was a hassle-free experience and the place was clean.

There were attempts to break in to my locker and my lock had to be replaced. Parking was sometimes difficult as spots indoors and out were clogged with U Haul vehicles. Getting a spot incide was almost never available. Generally staff was unfriendly and reluctant to help Overall the price was much to high for what you got.

Move in experience overall was great except that it was a little inconvenient that I had to have a tenants insurance policy before moving in, yet the staff at the facility had no clue about this policy. Also, very tight parking lot to get any pickup & trailer into. Thankfully I had a smaller trailer or else I would've had a real big issue getting around the parking lot.

The facility was fantastic but I seriously have never met a more lazy, useless set of staff. They are incredibly unhelpful and when I rented the truck they literally handed me the keys and that was it. I had to wander around the parking lot to find my vehicle because no one helped me and there was zero inspection before or after my trip. Also for the storage there is literally no point in having an alarm if no one bothers to check when it goes off.

Ryan Wieler (General Manager) went out of his way to assist me when I brought my concern to him about one of the units that appeared to be a drainage reservoir for water that was in the floor of the storage unit. Ryan quickly addressed the matter and found another storage unit. He was patient and took my concern seriously, which is important to me. Customer service has immensely improved since Ryan, Nic, and their team took over from the previous GM and her team. Despite the issues with the previous GM, the Century St storage facility has always been awesome in terms of convenience and a lot of storage space throughout the many years I have been a customer. So again, thank you Ryan and Nic for everything you have done to help me out. Greatly appreciate it!!

I've repeatedly used the U-Haul on King Edward in Winnipeg for my storage needs when necessary, both as a long term renter (3 years) & more recently for a short term 2 month rental. I've gotten to know the staff very well over the past few years & nearly everything was a first class experience. With this being said, there was a small issue. The rental space I was provided was at the extreme back of the building. This in itself was no problem at all. Staff was beyond accommodating to even get me space, which I appreciated. Notes were made on my account to inform me when a space closer to the front became available. Within days I was informed that a closer 10x10 unit was indeed available & I came down to move. There was a small charge for this service which I believe was $5.64. In addition, although I'd just booked a unit a handful of days prior, rates had suddenly increased & my bill was raised another $12.00. Upon paying these amount I went to get my lock off the other storage locker. I'll add that my unit was empty. The only thing being done was moving my lock to the new unit. Upon arrival I found that the new unit was against a perimeter wall & as such it was not nearly as well lit as the centre units. Making things worse were the bulbs to this units immediate left & right were burned out, making it very difficult to see into. I returned to the front office & rather than make work for the staff changing bulbs, simply asked to return to my old unit until another closer unit more central locker became available. This change was made but despite never moving an object, was informed I was being charged the moving cost as well as having my rent increased. I just moved out on July 31st, spending only 2 months renting the space. The only objects ever place inside was a single storage rack & a storage rack on wheels for objects that never made it to U-Haul. My friend asked me to provide him storage space while in the process of his divorce. One month in to the rental, he & his wife reconciled, but as it happened days into the 2nd month rental, I was stuck with the storage locker for a second month. I'm not asking for a refund of any kind. Simply bringing to your attention that the system as described to me by your very friendly & accommodating staff, prevented them from reversing the moving fee once it was created, not was it capable of changing the rent back to the what it originally was. Other than what amounted to an extra $20 in charges, everything about my experience was fantastic & should I need storage again in the future would not hesitate to return to this branch. I'll also add that the GM at this location helped me out when I found my storage rack on wheels could not fit into the vehicle I was driving, allowed me to return the following day to pick up as it was late in the day when all this occurred. I choose this location based on availability of a specific size unit (10x15). Made a reservation and check in date. Was told on arrival that yes i have a reservation but no 10x15 units were available. Given a 10x10 and Invited to return on Monday to inquire about 10x15. I wonder if there is some fine print somewhere that explains that a reservation for a specific size and date doesn't get you those things.

I made a reservation for a 10 x 10 I get to the store no 10 x 10 available.!! She tries to give me a smaller unit which was 750 ft.² which I didn't think was big enough at the time. Then she tried to give me a more expensive unit than the 10 x 10. I felt I should've got that unit for the same price I made the reservation for. Not to mention the area where you unload and load the drive-in garage was just unbelievably dirty remind me of an old mechanic shop that never cleaned up. But after making a reservation with someone at U-Haul and I get to the place on the day that was reservation for and they didn't have my unit like the person on the phone said they would. Not a happy customer I don't understand why you guys would take a reservation for a certain unit size and then when I show up not have it. I should be getting a free months rent.

The staff were very friendly and the building seemed quite secure. Unfortunately, there was a leak over my unit which leaked all over my items. I was never notified of a leak, so I didn't realize what happened until I went to my unit to move out. I had my furniture covered in plastic dust covers for the most part but dirty water still made it through some of the seams of the plastic covers. Staff let me know I need to call the insurance company, but I am just overall disappointed in the facility that some of my items were ruined while in storage. I would not store again or recommend to a friend.

Upon check in, explanation was so fast I didn't understand that I had to swipe my card when I go in, or else the alarm will go off when I open my unit (which is what happened). When I got to my unit, it was zip tied and I didn't know how to open it. I went back to the office to ask for help, they told me it just snaps open. I tried it didn't work. I went back again and told them I really needed help, I felt like I was a nuisance to the staff and that they didn't feel like helping. My information was also wrong on the contract, the copy I have has someone else's address and driver's license number on it. I don't know if they changed it, but they never did ask for my licence. This was a very different experience from my first time years ago.

Our experience was very sarisfactory. Eugene was very efficient and accommodating. He supplied us with information even before we thought of inquiring about it. The company's promo rate was very irresistible and the overall surrounding neat and clean considering the nature of the company's service wherein dirt cannot be prevented. We have been regular customers of uhaul and their service never fails. Overall, the service was and is excellent.

Uhaul was very helpful in offering first month free storage. I had lost my job and my home and had to get movers to get my things out a place I lived for 7 years. I had a lot of things and had to get movers 3 times to transport my things to storage. Then when I found a place to live it took 3 times to move things from storage to new place. The whole endeavor was very costly. I could never have done it without U-Haul and their free month offer. I am very grateful to U-Haul for making my life a lot easier at a time when things would definitely have gone a lot worse had they not been there.

Let me copy from my Google review : Awful facility , do not store your stuff here. You will have a difficult time loading and unloading as the loading bays are usually full of junk the staff leaves laying around, or trailers they don't organize in the parking lot blocking entrance. Then you will be battling with other customers for the one or 2 open unloading spots. The carts used to move your stuff to and from your locker suck and are small. The staff will likely not show you how to disable the alarm. If you need in after business hours you will only be able to use a small man door on the far side of the building, after you disarm the alarm, then figure out how to unlock the door (2 different pin pads you must do sequentially in the correct order) again you will not be taught this when you sign up. Then good luck moving anything through the man door with all the junk left around infront of it. Staff are unmotivated and usually ignorant. There's several better options in Winnipeg don't waste your time or money here. I'll give you 1 point to sustain.. there was ONE staff member that was good at his job. Bigger guy with a redish beard. He's the only one I would ever consider dealing with again. Overall this business is embarrassing.

While the staff were helpful, I ended up with two 5x5 units instead of the 5x10 I had reserved. I had called twice in the last 4 days to make sure that everything was ready, and when I arrived, the locker had a "non-payment" tag on it. I understand some of this is out of your control, but better inventory management (and maybe not promising particular units while occupied), would be helpful to alleviate some of the frustrations.

I wanted to take a last carload of things from moving to put in storage as I will be in a hotel for a while. I took a taxi to storage, swiped my card at loading doors and it said " welcome Eve, access granted" but no doors opened. Called U-Haul and spoke to 'Tamika' but she didn't know what to do and was unable to help me. This not only cost me a lot of time but a lot of money as well for a wasted round trip in a taxi.

My experience with your facility was overall very positive. The only problem came when I moved out and could not find anyone to tell that I was leaving. I went into the office twice but there was nobody behind the counter. I told the person sweeping up but I guess he did not pass on the info. I'm sure he just forgot. When I got the reminder by email, I tried to call twice to notify you but could not get through. I just kept getting put on hold. One time I waited almost 10 minutes then just gave up. I was finally successful on the third try when I was able to talk to someone in person.

There was one time I received attitude from one of the staff members there. I was inside the store before closing and they told me to wait outside but never attended me. I watched them count their till and walk out waiting for them to come attend me. Other than the 1 employee, everyone else at the location has been perflectly splendid to me. I really Appecriate the free 1 month storage offer!

The staff at the site were very helpful. However, the experience with the staff at the call centre was Not helpful. After trying to call the store close to me numerous times it always brought me to the call centre and they could not accurately answer my questions. I got different answers from several different people and when I finally went in to the store in person, they gave me the accurate info.

Mostly good experience. Only issues we had were not having 24 hour access, and 3 times our code/access card was denied despite our account being paid in full. Also find the rates fairly expensive.

The staff puts in a real effort to be helpful but many times this location is understaffed and wait times can be excessive. As well a few times they have had equipment failures and we couldn't get into our location. Frustrating for sure. But overall the staff is very helpful and does their best to be of assistance.

unit didn't have a lock inside even though advertised. manager resolved instantly as it was during business hours. access to unit was impossible during the first day, even with calling 1800gouhaul. Issue resolved the next day. Every time I pull up at the loading bays I have to find someone to open them - a minor inconvenience that would be easily solved if said doors were somehow connected to pad outside or if staff were constantly aware of it. I think for the high price compared to other facilities, the experience should be flawless. Probably will stay my 4 weeks and move.

When I came in originally there was a mix up and I was told I would recieve 10 % off my rental unit for like six months to correct the error I spoke with a manager and I received the 10 % for a month or two and that was it. I really don't care about the money (since I just paid it till I didn't need the unit anymore) but I do care about the principal if your company and staff offer a customer something and don't follow threw with it then it makes your company look untrustworthy and I would never recommend u haul to anyone because if that.

In the last year the security system was often down and the rates were going up regularly. Until recently, calls were redirected to the call centre where messages were passed along to the store. I rarely got a call back and subsequently had to call back several times. Time of day didn't seems to matter.

Staff were friendly- but not helpful. See above - might want to change to two questions instead of one. Long wait times in store to pay for monthly storage. It never fails that someone is renting a truck or a locker whenever I am there to pay. Some wait times over 20 minutes. They have a "payment only" sales desk but there is never any staff there to work that desk. No pro-rating of monthly pre-paid rent. For example, I paid Sept.14 by pre-authorized payment for rent valid until October 14, 2020 but we moved out on September 26, 2020.I was told that 2 weeks rent will not be reimbursed. Asked employee at counter and he replied no money back. Why not? The storage locker is empty and available to be rented again effective the morning of Sept. 26, so why can you not refund the pre-paid rent? You have my credit card number, so please refund. Also upon move out, I asked for a receipt to show the pre-authorization of payments will stop. He could not provide me with anything like that. He said it's all in the computer and they will stop because you moved out. He then provided me with a piece of paper from the computer saying Moved Out and a zero balance due. Unable to set up debit card for monthly payments at the onset of the rental term was an inconvenience. Please note: I did not have any problems with the staff. They were always polite. The problems are relating to administration and store policies. Just wanted to clarify that. Merci.

Firstly yes no answers aren't really the way to go with these kind of things, if you click no you need to be able to explain. So a text box should come up right after it, after selecting No right below. No's on (where I needed a survey answer other than no) - Access time, relates to Office time, as these are the only times the big doors can be open, and then just a regular sized door is available. I think we should be able to park inside and close the big door, off hours. This probably could have saved me a bit of money, by coming to pick up a few items at a time with my vehicle. No, but Yes for Staff Helpful/Friendly, YES on "friendly," NO on the "helpful" on one of the 5 occasions I went to my storage, this last time renting a 15' uhaul truck. I indicated to the staff member, who was new I guess, that I was literally going 1,1km (2,2km round trip), and asked if I really needed make the extra stop for fuel. While he kept saying that I would have to, I asked the folks who spoke better english and common sense prevailed and indicated no you don't need to bother filling it up. Round trip was ~2,2km (1,36mi), from/to Uhaul 461 Century St to/from 232 King Edward St. Not sure how you could add that to the training had to speak to the other employees. The other issue, is that for this large facility, you only had the single bar push roller the other day...and I had larger items In my storage that would have been better on the mattress roller (has 3 bars, 2 shorter on the sides, and one larger one in the middle, where the mattress would rest against), where the bars are parallel to the rolling direction, you really should have a few of those there. I broke an expensive window, by using the single barred push roller, so ya...thanks alot. Grrr. Spend $200+ a month on storage, and initially the 3 bar roller was available, though 1 bar roller when moving out, and it caused damage to my property. Big glass windows, well, they are expensive. You need those 3 bar rollers back, you should have 2 available.

I found the management at the century store disorganized in terms of their knowledge of policies regarding storage unit prices and customer support with discrepancies that arose with my storage unit contract (in the first year on my rental contract, I wasn't told that the price was increased and because of this issue I fell behind in payment resulting in a "red" lock being put on my storage unit and couldn't access it). The manger wasn't professional in terms of attitude when discussing this issue and other issues that came up. On the positive side, Reyjane (CSR century store) was amazing, great attitude, and always very helpful. She went above and beyond to help me.

I had 2 issues while I rented this locker. First, there was a leak of their hot water tank and it went into my locker. The staff helped me move everything out, but to get another locker the same size, I had to go way to the back and there was no lighting in the hallway outside the new locker. I was partially reimbursed for the items I lost.
