Line up was super long due to slow technology.
Carolyn FTried to book close to home and made reservation based off availability listed on website. Got a call that trailer was unavailable and had to drive out of my way into Kitchener. Went to main depot. Wasn't overly busy except some clerk was complaining how overworked he was that day to another customer. I had difficulty understanding the agent in front of me due to volume of complainer as well as thick accent of desk clerk. Trailer I picked up had a significant vibration that shuddered my truck and the surge brakes seemed poorly adjusted- I would have returned the trailer but I was already on the highway to pick up a vehicle. I returned the trailer earlier than my return time but still received a call hours later wanting to know where the trailer was. Poorly run facility with foreign students who simply don't give a shit about their job or the customer.
Sean UThis is not the workers fault but I was charged a fee because it was under a quarter tank. It was given to me with a quarter tank. How can I not go under a quarter tank? Sounds like a Uhaul scam.

Sharon MWe arrived close to closing, so perhaps that has impacted the experience. But the employees refused to return the truck since there was only 1 or 2 minutes to closing. They said I need to do the self return. The self return was pretty easy, but then I got falsely charged for fuel in the morning. I had just filled up the fuel tank to the required level before returning it, that's why we were so close to closing. But in the morning they said we were far below where we were. Perhaps someone siphoned off gas while the equipment was parked overnight, or perhaps the employees wanted to charge more money. I'm not sure, but I did not enjoy the return process at this location.
Matthew VTruck was only in miles per hr. Clock couldn't be set to right time and radio did not work at all. The driver side sear belt, only cut in to my shoulder and neck. And the whole truck rattled with every tiny bump in the road even when it was fully loaded. The customer service at puck up and drop off locations was great but the truck was terrible.
Dawne EI have dealt with Brandee for almost 3 years and she has been nothing but amazing to me and my family the whole time! I would recommend this Specific facility to anyone who asked for moving or storage!!

They helped me with the following: 1: Information and how to hook the trailer to the towing vehicle. 2: Equipment needed to attach and secure the trailer. 3: Conducting a pre-trip inspection of the trailer and how it's supposed to be working including the meaning of the color of lights, date on inspection stickers and procedures to safely mount, dismount and secure load on the trailer.
Darvesh SMake sure you properly finish the return process once the customer gives the keys back in person to a U-haul employee during business hours as I got a call 2 days after I had returned the vehicle where the store employee was saying I still haven’t returned the vehicle lol !
APURVA PThe truck was dinged and scratched pretty bad, door seals where hanging loose, could tell it was a very old beat up truck. Luckily was not a long trip so made due, but this time round was the worst truck Ive ever received from UHaul. Normally they are not too bad. Service was great, people were friendly, process was fast and easy. Just wish the truck was a little higher quality.

Love SThey did not check the mileage and charged me way more than I used, and told me that I should have taken a picture of the mileage, I wish they told me this informationat the start. Kapil Pequipment worked well, no issues traveling with the 6x12 enclosed trailer. the after hours self return app was horrible would not work. wasted 45 min trying!!!!! Luckily a young female employee came out (as she was leaving after locking up 1,5hrs) she helped us by logging in on her phone and received it she went way above for us and i truly appreciate it. I wish i had gotten her name to commend her.

JAWAD AThey did not pull truck up for me I had to walk all the way to the back of the lot to find the truck. Also they charged me for fuel refill when I brought the vehicle back with the same fuel I picked it up with. I haven't rented from this location for a while but the service has changed not for the good. The only good thing was the truck was new, that was nice.
Jeff LI was a little surprised that the customer now has to retrieve their rental vehicle from wherever it might be on the site lot. Staff used to deliver to the main gate and participate in a walk around....not anymore, here are your keys, your vehicle is located her.....bye!

This is not a deal breaker because it could be repaired and cleaned up. Would I rent storage here again? Yes, not a problem. The staff here are excellent to work with. The maintenance person just needs to fix up that unit.
William D | Expérience généraleMy only complaint is during the winter months there is always a patch of ice in front of entrance doors to the storage units. This is a dangerous amount of ice that needs to be managed better before someone gets seriously injured. It seemed to me that this ice accumulation is made worse by drainage from the roof of the building that drains in front of doorways as this was a problem for every entrance. It was so bad that whenever I needed to go to my unit during the winter months I would bring salt to spread out before trying to enter the building to avoid falling again because of the ice. I did say something to an employee a few years ago but nothing ever changed.

I use uhaul whenever I need a truck and unfortunately needed a storage unit last minute but at this cost I'll be looking elsewhere for a unit and probably never use you for my truck needs again.

I was making a big move from Vancouver, BC to Kitchener, ON, but was traveling for over a year first, needed to travel back and forth, etc. and needed a safe and secure storage unit. The U-Haul staff here are amazing and always very helpful and accommodating. Once, I forgot my scan key for entrance all the way in Vancouver, BC and they replaced it no issues, no fees! I was so amazed. Moving in and checking out were seamless. Would 100 % use this uhaul again for storage or moving needs.

We have another unit D15(the large unit) My unfortunate husband found a closet instead of a unit and the melting snow rained down on him the whole time while he was unloading. He was soaking wet when he got home. Sorry my poor husband that I didn't check the closet for size and safety of pouring water off the roof.!

It's insane that at 10pm when I'm moving around things too bring new iteams the following day that I'm approached by an intoxicated male who was unimaginable rude and proceeded too reactive my card .. I then had too wait weeks as a penalty for being in my unit after hours too receive a new card!! I pay for the unit, and I get too he treated like a child and penalized?!? This is a shame too the uhaul company I'd NEVER recommend this place too anyone!!

She is very good wth customers and staff alike, knows her stuff and was accomodating wth me on 2 occasions in particular when she wouldn't have had to be--so that is always greatly appreciated. She is a consumate professional to be sure! The staff are good, some better than others, have been well trainedt and are, for the most part, patient and pleasant. The only reason I left was cost.

Also to see that my unit prices were going to go up if I had to stay I was not warned of that so i am glad I was able to vacate the units early enough. But overall satisfied.

We both came near to falling. An hour later it was just slippery but managable. Not sure why you would wax that floor but if it must be done signage should be posted to warn customers. I brought a 3 bedroom and a basement home with me and had to stack my things very high to make it fit into the unit I was given. We made it work but things got squished in the process. Maybe in the future there should be some way to make sure that what the customer books is what they get. Besides that I was happy with my experience.

It was great waking everyone up. Also you had no trucks in three cities surrounding me so I had to get one an hour away and pay the mileage. Plus the store locked it's doors 20 mins early and the staff looked at me outside like I was stupid. Will not do this again.

I moved to London on September 4th and I went in to move all of my stuff out and to cancel and someone told me it was fine and I should just wait until the end of the month and to call them to cancel so I left to London and then on called on September 30th to cancel October 1 payment and someone told me that it was all good and my automatic payments were removed. I then got a voicemail from someone else saying that won't work because the lock was on still, I called them back and a new person answered and explained it to me and I told them I was coming home on the weekend and I could do it then and they said we will still have to charge you for the unit and I had to take it off that day or I'll have to pay. So I called my mom in Kitchener and I asked if she had a key and she didn't. so they called me the next day and said the same thing on October 1st and I told the guy that when I walked in on September 4th to cancel it he told me I was lying and no one would've told me that.

I asked for an upgrade but was denied. Staff wasn't at all helpful. I was told to come back the next morning to ask for an upgrade. I was not able to move in on day 1. Did it on day 2. Upgrade took 10 min. To do the next morning. Could have been done the night before.

I arrived after office hours with my hired 80 dollars per hour living helpers, and we waited for about 1 hour for customer service to pick up my call. The customer service had no way but to tell me to come back the second day. In total, I wasted 3 hours because I cannot get into my storage unit. The 3 hours were completely wasted, and I had to hire them again.

Then when the lock they made me buy from them brock and they wanted to pay 50 dollars cash for their lock smith. Then the lock smith got into an threatening argument with my husband when I refused to pay cash.

robert h | Expérience généraleI rented a unit for 3 years and never had any issues. I would go and check on the unit with my items from time to time and the facility was always clean. No pests or problems. Direct payment made it easy so I didn't have to go in to pay each month.

When I brought back the 26 foot truck my father asked her what am I paying the 15 dollars she unbelievably rudely said you should have asked me 5 seconds ago the screen is closed my father felt embarrassed as there was customer inside the store as well. She handed me the paper to my father without even explaining what was on it she just kept saying read the paper he then asked for her name and she walked away and as she is walking away she yelled I don't need to give you my name it's on the paper. Worst experience I have ever seen at this place and I was renting 2 units here plus renting trials and trucks. And to have that kind of attitude after a long day of moving is just wrong.

I put in a low rating because I saw NO Covid safety precautions in the facility other than the in the main office. The elevator is horrible! The necessity of having to swipe the card to have it work and continually press a button (finger remains on a button) to have it move is inconvenient and bad during a pandemic. My friend stored her items at a place on Pinebush in Cambridge that had regular elevators. The system you have where you need to touch 2 doors on an elevator several times and then open and close a door to go upstairs has many communal touchpoints. I saw the facility being regularly cleaned every time I was there. However, I never saw anyone wiping the elevator button, the elevator pull-down door latches and outside elevator doors, and the door handle to the stairs or the carts. There was no evidence that anyone made any effort to clean the carts either. It's really risky and dangerous. I brought my own Lysol wipes and cleaned things as I used them myself. Not everyone is going to clean things as they use them. It would be helpful to have wipes set up at the elevator and carts like they do at grocery stores, hotels and gas stations. I mean really, it's not just for your customers, it's for your own staff to have some safety measures be in place. I'm a teacher and the custodial staff there wiped all touchpoints regularly and there were still outbreaks. I hate to think about the risk at your facility. It's actually shocking that I saw nothing but the same lady cleaning the grounds (she was friendly and did a really good job). I saw nobody cleaning high touchpoints. I know because I took several trips a day and the cart I left in the drop off point was at the exact same angle I left it many hours later. Very unfortunate for your staff and customers who do not clean touchpoints for themselves. I cleaned myself, otherwise, I never would have continued with the service so I am ok with the service I had. I worry for others who while rushing to store things do not take precautions. Even with vaccines rolling out, there is still going to be risk for months and maybe years to come. UHaul has to invent in taking more precations for customers and also their own staff. My rating would have been better if not for the pandemic. However, we are in a pandemic and will be for some time. Change needs to happen here. That being said I would use the service myself again because I clean well myself.

When returning a week later, there was a management lock on my unit because my lock was improper type. The potential was there to make the online check -in smooth, but execution was so unbelievably poor.

However the unit I had rented, I am not pleased with. The framing and the drywall are coming apart. With minimum effort, I would be able to enter the adjacent storage unit. The door to the unit I had rented was difficult to open and close. I had to exert a high level of effort just to get into the unit and to close the the unit. The door track is bent and the door looks beat up.

I immediately raised the issue with the staff only to be told the dimensions were only approximate. I'm willing to accept the space being off by a few inches, but it's simply insulting to claim a few feet as approximate. Maybe next time I'll just pay the approximate price... which by Uhaul standards could acceptably be off by 60 %!

It's off to a rough start but our operating hrs are an 'On Call 24Hrs', 'You Make The Call and We'll Be There!'.. Unfortunately the business is unregistered with BBB...but policy is policy.
