Every time I came into the facility and needed help from someone (and also the one time I had to call customer service) I received nothing but patient help. I was never made to feel stupid or anything no matter how simple my needs or questions were. The staff was always helpful and always kind.

Renting the small van or pick-up truck is extra high-risk for Uhaul and so extra steps and restrictions. Nevertheless, the staff remains patient and accommodating and helpful, and the little van was exactly the right tool for my task and worth the extra effort.

The facility is clean on the outside and upon move-in, This staff was helpful, The nightmare came when it was time to move out. There were rat feces as well. As dead rats within the storage unit and within my things. I had to throw away seventy percent of my items. Also I moved out in October of 2023. This was not communicated to the upper. Management which caused me to accrue a bill over four hundred dollars. Very dissatisfied.

As a corporate account holder, I was very disturbed to see my account overcharged $600. The employee's need to pay close attention when checking in the trucks and entering information in the system. They entered 1 000 miles over on my contract. It was definitely a huge "fat finger" mistake, but these things need to be noticed. Who drives 1 000 plus miles in 1 day rental? The gas was also entered incorrectly. Again, charging my account for something we definitely did not do. Now, we're waiting on a refund.

Everything fell in place for me today. I didn't think I would need a U-Haul, but I did. I thought I had to go a mile or down the road, you moved next door. You have already improved your customer service, you moved next door.

I loved the staff here ! They were funny, friendly and very helpful through the whole process . They helped make a long ,hard, transition easy and smooth and were nice through and through . I love them all and appreciate them all very much . I definetly recommend this location to everyone . Everything was great from the storage unit cleanliness to the staff . The only thing I was bummed about is not being able to access my storage unit at night when I really needed to.

There was one exception on move-out day. One of the managers rudely came and closed the garage doors while the moving company was loading the truck. He didn't ask my team anything or even greet us in any way. I was insulted. He claimed we were letting the heat out. I was amazingly appalled. This was an unprofessional attitude and far away from appropriate customer service.

I had a blown fuse that caused trailer lights to not work. Associate named Amber ( 1501 Normandy Village Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32221) was very helpful and even provided the tool and fuse to get me on my way. Not change the location I was to pick the truck at. I had choose 103rd Which is 3,1 miles from my house. I had to I had to fo 8,7 which in total would have been the 20 miles. But instead I paid 40 dollars extra because you changed locations. I will never use your app or you again

The trailer come off my truck it was hooked up by the employee . It made it all the from Florida to Virginia and messed up my truck and insurance said they are not going to cover the damages to my truck. So no I don't recommend Uhaul anymore. I used them every time I moved with no problems but now that there is faulty equipment now it's my fault .I don't think I will ever use your service again after this!!!!!!

First of all the windows interior was filthy almost impossible to see through it. Secondly don't try to use the app to return the vehicle or you may spend a hour trying to get it to accept your pictures during the rental return process. Thirdly why isn't there a military discount or senior citizen discount, I mean something anything? But overall the best part of the experience was the courtesy from the employee at the physical location who created my reservation. And last of all the fuel economy was atrocious it took me 6 gallons of gas to go 30 miles which equals out to 5 miles per gallon.

It was an awful experience and because I was rented a 10 ft Truck WITHOUT a ramp and not told, it took me two weeks to move as I had to move up some steps and it was very hard and inconvenient. I was called repeatedly even though I explained what was taking so long as my Husband passed last year and was having to move by myself with an injured back and neck. Not having a ramp made our move almost impossible. I had started a new job at the hospital working back to back 12 hour shifts and so it took forever to do by myself with no ramp. The driver's side door didn't close or lock except from inside so couldn't leave anything if value in there when I stopped without having to enter on passenger side door and climb across to unlock driver's side door. The truck smelled and had some kind of bugs like gnats or fleas that got into our new home. (I have pics and videos). It was all just an awful experience and also even though I communicated with the store on Normandy and tried to extend rental online, they still called me daily, often multiple times to harass me and act as if I was stealing the truck. They even accused me of that and also threatened to come take the truck (with our stuff in it). I was told there would be no charges until I returned it. I needed to move money over for charges to go through but instead of telling me that they called me threatening me, leaving me Sooo upset and while I was on a 12 hour shift and moving afterwards through the night getting little sleep. Also, I put my Mother In Law's credit card on it and it was MANUALLY charged over $900 without our permission. I was told it wouldn't be charged until we returned. Once again, being treated like a thief. I put over $80 in gas in it. I have receipt. I will never use Uhaul again!!!

I made original reservations online for a specific truck and location. The day following, I was contacted by phone and told I had to use a different location because the truck I ordered was not actually available at the location I selected. The we were to pick up the truck, I "pre-registered" online as I had been instructed by email to do. When we arrived on location to pick up, we were treated rudely. When we found employees on the property, they were unwilling to even acknowledge our presence. Finally we found a young man sitting behind a counter. He also did not acknowledge us for several seconds though standing right in front of him. He just stared at us. Even though I had registered online, TWICE, we had to go through everything again with him. He told us that the truck we ordered, a 20 ft., was not available. He offered a 26 ft. truck and told us "Take it or leave it". Every comment from this guy was rude or sassy. Our check in process went very much the same only this guy hardly spoke. He gave no instructions and made it clear that we were interfering with his day. There is nothing I can imagine that would entice me to return to this location for any reason.

Unfortunately the Normandy location is going to get this bad review because my reservation was moved there after the bad experience. Please note the Normandy location had nothing to do with this review, but you give me no other option. My original reservation was for Blanding Blvd. Because I wasn’t there on time my truck was given away. There was no call, text, cancellation notice. Nothing. I had 4 boys waiting to help me move and my truck wasn’t there. I’ve reserved Uhaul like 25 times in my life, never been there exactly when I say I will cuz I’m in the middle of moving, and I’ve never once had my truck given away without even a notification. I was told by many people to go with Penske this time but I didn’t because I’m used to always using Uhaul. That may change.

Overall experience was horrible. I gassed the truck up and it won't start due to a dead battery. We were going from NC to. FL. We called Uhaul roadside assistance and after a few hours someone showed up, however; he did not have replacement battery on the truck. He used a jump box to get the truck started and said not to turn the truck off. This breakdown caused us to leave almost four hours later than we were supposed to resulting in us driving at night and getting home at 5am. Good thing I did not turn the truck off because once parked at my house it would not start back up. Luckily I own the same jump box that roadside assistance used, so the next day I was able to get it started and drive it to the mini storage I was to unload at, but again I had to keep the truck running the whole time while being unloaded since I had to return it. I go to return it and kept it running and let the Uhaul representatives know about the issue. I asked about any kind of compensation or credit due to the poor equipment rental and was told to call Uhaul then was charged over $100 since it was being returned after the three day period. I understand things happen, however; I feel before giving a vehicle to a customer I would think it is inspected including a battery check to ensure it is not at the end of its life as well as the alternator to ensure it is putting out enough charge to to charge the battery. You would think the alternator would have had enough time to charge the battery being driven from NC to FL never turning off the engine but apparently that was not the case since the second I turned off the truck in FL it would not start or even turn over, the battery was dead. The second is Roadside assistance, the representative was extremely nice, however; he did not have a spare battery and told me the alternators are checked every 1000 miles so it should charge through the journey. My thing is if someone calls broke down with a battery issue which was made known on the initial call you would think Uhaul would send someone with a spare battery. Again not a good experience and I feel the representatives where I dropped off the truck in Florida should be empowered to make it right rather than having to call Uhaul to make it right. I had driven all night then turn around and unloaded all day due to the issue so I feel after such a poor experience customers should not have to jump through another hoop for Uhaul to make it right I feel after what happened the responsibility falls on Uhaul but I will be calling since there was nothing the Uhaul reps in Florida could do.

It only took us 1 1/2 hours to unload and put everything in storage but we were there for more than 4 hours in total due to waiting for staff to come back and help us. Facility was not super clean but it does the job.

I commend this U-haul location for all that they do and that fact that they have a restroom available ! People spend an inordinate amount of time moving, not thinking they are exercising. So your body is really working, so when it hits you that you need to relieve yourself, it is a very thankful moment to know there is a lavatory at a storage facility.

Several Handmade Quilts ruined by mice urinating and pooping on them, several sets of sheets also ruined, all dish ware had to be washed and sterilized. All of this was from the 5x10 unit. Waited on call from management to file for insurance but couldn't keep these items in my home or in my pickup truck due to the odors. All items were place in a dumpster for disposal.

The woman who helped me get my storage unit was very professional and friendly. She was very knowledgeable and thorough in giving me the information and showing me everything. I showed up about 30 minutes to closing but she still took the time to answer my questions and be completely thorough during sign up and showing me the unit, etc... Thank you!!

My rates were raised DAYS S after starting my use of the facility. There were droppings on move out. The doors that made it easy to move in and out were closed and unusable on move out. They were open when we got there and the attendants refused to let us carry our large items out of them. Bad attitudes all around. I star for person who waived a late fee when my email was spelled incorrectly although it's my name and I told the person to use my ID that they were holding.

It started well but continued escalating more and stressful. They don't give you clear directions. They don't show you were everything is , the woman that received my truck made me go back to the gas station to fill up the tank " one extra dollar" cause she says the line was not exactly 3/4 then I came back and they charged me for extra miles , totally scanners , they also wanted to charge my 88 dollars and I asked them to verify again and they were charging me double. I lost all my day there . Never going back

This facility has a serious rodent issue with rats and mice. Droppings were everywhere and they are live and dead. Manager (Craig) was very unprofessional and denied the problem even after he saw visible damage as well as the droppings and picked up the dead mice in his hand.

Thing's are not ran properly in regards to communication. I lost only one thing in my unit. It was an antique dresser that had been in my family for generations. I had the mirror that goes on top and all of the drawers. Due to my health and other factors it remained the only item left. I was late at first and physically went into the office to explain my situation and that I was not able to pay the amount due at the time. I also told the young lady that all that was left was a single dresser and just how important it was to me. She stated she would have (I believe her name was Ashley) contact me to see what could be done. It wasn't until a week or more later that I got a phone call giving me an outrageous amount due that I could then (after payment) come and access my unit for the item. I called back to seek alternative methods but was unsuccessful in getting yet another return call. I've since had MULTIPLE emails from various individuals stating my balance due was even higher and my unit was up for auction back in July. Then up for auction in August, September, October, November and lastly December. I understood it to have been gone back in July then again in August. I then took the piece's I did have in my possession and disposed of them with a heavy heart. Then more calls and emails followed stating I could still access the unit if I was to pay an even higher amount. I have saved every email, every voicemail. It got ridiculous! I was heartbroken and the damage was done as I no longer had the pieces to make the dresser complete again. The GM at this location SUCKS! All he does is micromanage this lovely location and I believe has no clue as to what is really going on and just allows other employees to handle the logistics of the location without really keeping himself involved. He seems to only send out prefilled document's/notices that has his name attached with no real clue of the situation. I've used U-Haul for year's! For all of my moving and storage needs. I'm now 51 yrs old and this location has definitely screwed up my image of U-Haul. I will NOT PAY whatever the amount that is said I owe, so sending emails and letters and calling is a waste of time. Your lack of professionalism has caused me much grief and I have lost something that is irreplaceable!

Location had three large garage door openings to drive in and load and unload. All three where broken and unusable. Only access was through regular doorway. People had parked as to block traffic.

I moved by myself and was having all the issues imaginable and the staff at this location was extremely helpful, Mary was an absolute godsend who helped with quite literally everything I could have asked or hoped for better staff. Best access to the storage unit is behind the building at a set of three large roll up doors and all three are not working. In addition to this someone parked a forklift in front of the regular door that is accessible. Way dangerous as well as blocks only access. Completely unacceptable to have all three doors inoperable.

The storage experience was ok at first but then there was a roach infestation which made its way to my unit which they wasn't a roach problem when I first got there. I informed multiple people about it. The supervisor stated she would inform someone and call me back the next day which she did not call me the next day. I politely took my things out and canceled my storage unit and went to another storage company.

My first day of rental was June the 25th, I tried to move my belongings in on June 26th, only to find that the storage rental space that I had rented and paid for was being used by someone else and had locks on it already. When I took my concerns to the front office staff there was much difficulty in finding another storage unit for me to use that was the same size , I was told they were unavailable at that point. Are the team members finally after quite a bit of waiting time found another unit that was a larger size that I did not want and said there was going to be a $36 difference to which I responded I will not pay a $36 difference because I paid for a specific size and I wanted to pay that price. I was finally accommodated by renting a larger size storage unit for the same price but only for this month. On June 30th, I received an email saying that my storage unit rental fee was past due and I was being charged another $15 parental that I've literally only had for one week. My storage experience with U-Haul is not going well I'm not a happy customer right now and I will not be using you all for any storage in the future because they don't seem to have a good computer system or staff knowledgeable enough to help me do something so simple as to just rent a storage unit.

I requested a 10 x 10 not two separate units 5 foot wide not convenient at all I feel like U-Haul lied. U-Haul was misleading and misrepresenting a true 10 x 10 storage unit. Not happy with U-Haul and experience as an overall move
