If we just went in to get a truck and have you , the expert do the reservation in person , would be great. Anything with corporate or the application seems to get messed. All the employees could of been rude and rushed. Busy place. But all were great at customer care. Made everything sensible when it's so stressed. Hard to get a team like that and says much about your leadership and not just ' managing'

The transporter needed a "donkey" to lift off of my trailer ball which is of factory height because it didn't extend high enough for me to remove it. If I would have arrived 20 minutes later the shop would have been closed and I wouldn't have had the ability to remove the trailer and would have had to go home with the trailer attached and return it on Thursday which would have been 30 miles out of my way.

They even supply wheeled trolleys to convey your belonging from your vehicle to your storage compartment. Did I mention the first month is free? Best price I could find also. This is a win, win situation.

When I called customer service instead of offering another truck, she told me to turn the keys in to that location and I was unable to finish my move but was charged for it. I had to rent a truck elsewhere so now I'm out that money. Worst customer service ever. When I called the next day I was told someone would be calling me back. Never heard from anyone and I've talked to 5 or 6 people there. Terrible customer service.

JOHN ERDMANNAs stated when I returned the truck, the brakes need to be checked out. A couple of times the brakes went to the floor and I was able to get them back by pumping up the brake pedal. Brakes remained soft throughout the rest of the trip. I continued to pump the brakes to have good brakes.

I asked the attendant when I returned it, to check the trailer for safety. It felt very unsafe to tow with that particular trailer. I have rented from UHaul for all my adult life and this was an experience that changes my perspective about the company for the worst...

Jude FontesI got there with my property to store it and there was a lock on the unit. I brought it to there attention and they came to look. They tried cutting the lock and were not able to. This went on for about thirty minutes. They then placed me in another unit and had to pay 5 more. I was there longer than I should not have had to.

I have a business out of my unit and I in there multiple times a day sometimes after hours sometimes on the weekends and up until I moved to a different unit within the same facility I've always had great service I feel like since they hired new people things have not been working out correctly the ladies that clean, the bathrooms do amazing job Trevon the general manager for the site is amazing very personable and very understanding the door sliding door on building B has had problems for a while. The bathroom continues to get used by people who are not renters. I think they need to put an access on that door in the main building in a they have an access, but not a B and I really wish they would do that. Many times I go to the bathroom and it's just disgusting from homeless people going in there and just completely destroying it with filth in grossness other than that my experience has been pretty well and I would've given it excellent but this last move from one unit to another has been challenged with wrong access codes and just things not working correctly or telling me that I have a month of service for free and then charging my card the same day for the full amount which I do not give access because one card I use for business and one I use for personal and this is a business unit not personal

I believe the gentleman that checked me in his name was Dee and he did call around to find another unit.

But I believe that was mostly my fault since I didn't look at the building map beforehand and I didn't watch the check-in guide video. If I had I may not have been confused. HOWEVER, I went to the office and the gentleman that I spoke with was very helpful and knowledgeable and I was able to find the correct building and my unit easily after following their instructions! After hours check-in was also very easy and it was a great experience overall!

I was in the storage area and several times the alarm was being tripped by people that did not understand the system. jill griffin | Expérience généraleI originally rented a storage unit online but when I got to the facility the unit price was different and the size was smaller than anticipated but I was told it was the only unit available. During my 1 year stay I upgraded to a larger unit (the size I originally thought I was getting that increased my monthly rent. About 6 months after that the storage rent increased. The reason I decided to move is because the storage rent was Increasing again. I sent an email requesting my rent stay the same as it had just increased. I did not get an response to that email only a bill stating I needed to pay my rent early if I wanted to pay the same amount for the current month as the new rate would be in effect if I paid on time.

I prestigious email stating the law amount was to be refunded so I called to question why and they stated that this facility does not participate in online rentals or reservations it's first come first serve and they should state that up front and not participate in the reservation process if I'm not going to honor it. I also still have not received my receipt for the contract and payment after my visit on 3/9/22.

And the biggest frustration was that when I did need to call and want to talk with someone at the facility, 9 times out of 10 they wouldn't answer the phone. It would flip to a general uhaul answering service. I wouldn't need someone at the general uhaul number. I needed to talk with someone at the facility. A lot of times my card wouldn't allow us in after office hours. Yet no one would answer the phone at the number provided to call with after hour concerns. This isn't the first uhaul facility I've stored my things at. But by far the least receptive to customer needs. Otherwise, my needs were met.

There were several employees cleaning and preparing trucks in the front. I yelled across to them for assistance and every one of them ignored me. I went back inside because no one ever came to assist me. There was one person on the counter, no one to assist customers with needs other than renting!! I have rented here in the past and it was a breezy, seemless move in and move out. I would recommend simply because it is always so clean in the lobby and the units!

My experience online was great. Everything was so easy to find and setup. I wish I could say the same about my visit to the store. I think the person who helped me was new or they were having a bad day. I wasn't greeted and I didn't feel welcomed. I explained why I was at the store, I was asked for my name and then I just stood there while she worked on it. There was a lot of awkward silence. I asked if everything was okay and she said yes and kept going. I got the vibe she might be having a bad day. I had the order number, to help finding my order. I kept offering it when nobody could find both of my orders. I had proof of all of this. I didn't know what was going on. This was frustrating. Another gentleman came to help the woman who was helping me. Apparently they wanted a 3rd contact phone number but weren't conveying the message to me. After a few minutes of trying to figure out what they were speaking about, I figured out they wanted a 3rd phone number, so i have then my mother in law's number and address. Why wasn't I asked for this online? What i really didn't like was that if I didn't provide this 3rd contact, i wouldnt be allowed to rent the unit. That needs to change! I almost walked out of your store. This next part was not their fault, but the system went down during all of this. I checked on my phone if your website was experiencing this, and yes, it had effected that too. I would've understood if I had been told something was a miss with the system. I happen to overhear the employees talking that the system was down, that's why I checked. The store didn't have the lock I ordered, so they gave me another one. Until I got out of store and was almost to my car. Someone found the lock type I had ordered. I gladly exchanged locks and went on my way. I've worked customer service for many years and I wasn't happy with the way I was treated. But I was also in a rush because I had to go to work. I could've been a bit more pleasant. I work at Chase Field and I still had to go home, get dressed and drive a half hour to downtown Phoenix. I just wanted to leave because I had to get to work. I still thanked everyone anyways when I left because they still helped me. I'm not mad and I have no reason to slander anyone. I don't want anyone fired! With all this stuff going on in the world, i don't want someone to lose their job over me. Give them another chance to make it right. I think they deserve another chance. This is how I recall my visit and unfortunately, my experience wasn't pleasant. I hope this can become a coaching experience for everyone involved and I hope that this would improve the customer service in the future, as I am now your customer with a storage unit. For how long will be determined by the level of customer service I recieve going forward.

Inez Ramos | Expérience généralePromised a unit. Called the day before to confirm and asked for a unit number. Was told they couldn't give me one until I showed up. Understood. Upon arrival, was told that they had no unit for me and that they couldn't/wouldn't do anything for me. Called by facility a couple weeks later asking if I was gonna keep using my storage unit. Wait what?! So you either had one and didn't care to give to me or you didn't have one but still wanted to charge me for one. Worst of it?! Their check in kid stole my AirPods out of the truck while I was returning it. They were on the key ring, I know exactly where they were. They denied and denied and didn't seem to care. Liars and thieves here. Beware!

My dad drove the truck all the way from Georgia to Arizona and had to listen to the loose bumper flapping in the wind the whole entire way. When l mentioned it to the manager at the Gilbert Road location she didn't seem to care or want to take any responsibility for it. Otherwise the Uhaul storage unit on Gilbert Road is a nice place. Clean and orderly. I just didn't appreciate Uhaul giving us a busted up truck to drive across the country in. That was NOT COOL!!

I arrived ,after calling for 2 hours and no answers, to find out that my UBox was there with no cover. I was told that I couldn't get it and had to go to a different Uhaul. They could have CALLED me and told me that BEFORE I arrived. Then, after I can back with ubox and emptied the storage unit, I told them to close the unit account. They had the nerve to ask me if I emptied it, that people say that they moved out but didn't. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE!!!! They also keep losing my information and I had to give it to them over and over again.

When I made the reservations (in the storage facility) I was told access hours were 5:30 am until 10:00 pm. Then, on the move in day I was told "office hours only 7am until 7pm." What is the correct hours? I was also told that there were 2 alarms for the unit, one at the door of the building and one on the unit it's self. After several minutes looking around a inside the unit I realized that that was some more incorrect information that I had been given. This place is not impressive.

For the most part using a storage facility is self explanatory and a solo mission, but on the off chance you need someone, you want them to be helpful and respectful.

No... unless I needed a lot of stuff that day. Staff...? I rented a truck to get in there. And one to get out. Absolutely atrocious. No smiles. No "welcome in!" Nothing. They all walk (miserably slow) and can easily tell they hate their jobs. I'd recommend this place because it is clean, close to my home, and easily accessible (kind of). I wouldn't recommend even attempting to talk to staff, carrying large things through doors that don't work, or paying for a full month when you plan to leave earlier.

Bonita Gibson | Expérience généraleThere are some homeless people living in there because they have a unit, they showed me their card. The guy and gal were in the bathroom for long periods of time. I observed this twice and when I asked them from outside the bathroom to please come out, that I needed to use the facilities, they stayed in for another half hour. I had to put all items that I was rearranging in the storage back in and lock it, then go to the front office to use theirs. Anyone can enter thru the doors and I also saw a man, twice come to check what there was in the area where you can pick up items that people don't want. I don't think he had a unit. You should really review your policy for entrance into the storage buildings. It is a security problem and it worried me that my storage would be broken into. I did get into a verbal confrontation with the male homeless guy. I brought up this problem with the front office and they said that they were going to monitor it and take care of the problem. I would definitely rent vehicles from them again as I really liked the people working there. Especially Jack, who came to my rescue when I confronted the homeless man.

Miguel Campos | Expérience généraleUpon our arrival we informed the manager, Misty Ward that we would have a POD being delivered which we would unload but it wouldn't be able to be picked up until the next day. She said, "No problem, we do that all the time." By the time the POD arrived, Misty had gone home and another employee informed us that the POD had to be picked up that day. That employee then called Misty at home and was told that Misty never told us it would be ok to be picked up the next morning which was a bold faced lie. We had to cancel send the POD back and pay for another month of POD storage which is more than the unit at your facility would have cost us. It was the last day that I was available as I was going out of town for 6 weeks. We canceled the storage unit and are in the process of finding another storage facility. I would have preferred your location since it's close but I don't want to do business with people that lie to me. If I can get a free month on the unit I will consider renting a unit from your location. If not I will go elsewhere and since your facility is where I get my propane for my grill I will also take that business elsewhere.
