The ONLY negative is the size (lack thereof) of the waiting area. That's it. Everything else is A+ all the way. The reservation process was super easy. The check-in process was even easier. Steve, the hitch installer, did an outstanding job… absolutely nothing could have been easier or more professionally done. The price was very competitive vs a dealer-provided hitch. And the premium for having Steve install it vs me doing the work…. Priceless!!! This is my 3rd hitch from this U-Haul store, and it will not be my last one. If U-Haul wanted to create a video of 'How to do things right', here's where you need to send the film crew.

Customer service was terrible. The lady that checked me out was snobby during the entire process. She spoke to me as if I was illiterate even when I returned the truck. I complained to the other worker that she was rude during my process.

I will never use UHaul again. The woman at the Kanis location was rude and impossible to work with. We were treated like world class trash and I have never been so humiliated and aggravated at the same time. The rental unit was so far away from the unloading dock and it was so small and since that woman was so hateful we decided to just to use a different facility.

The staff literally argued with each other in front of several customers. I waited in line for 45 minutes. The 26' truck I reserved was given to a guy in front of me who didn't have a reservation. So, I had to wait 20 more minutes to get a truck. Mauvaise expérience.

I thought the option to "skip the counter" and do everything on the app sounded great. But it really was hard to follow what needed to be done. Is there a way I could have seen an overview of the whole process before choosing that option? (For instance i didn't know I still had to wait in line when I arrived. Was I supposed to break in the front of the line and say I had done the mobile process?)

I felt the rental process was much too personal. Photo of me; my drivers license: sign that I will IMMEDIATELY pay for any damages including the entire trailer. I was waiting for them to draw blood and a demand a urine sample. Way too intrusive. And it took like 15 minutes. Just see my license, print my credit card and ill be on my way.

The customer service rep was rude. I had my hand out to receive my card and she laid it on the counter. I asked was she done she said yes. I picked my card up and told her it was rude and she started humming as if she was ignoring me. Then a young man that is an employee came in talking to her and was vaping and blew smoke in my direction. Vaping while on the clock is very unprofessional they might as well smoke cigarettes . It's rude especially in the customers presence.

The truck I had check engine light was on and I was worried it would go out! So I recomend checking that before giving out the truck! You all have great prices and will use you again!

I was turned off by the process of assuming every customer that comes in to rent has a cell phone capable of taking self-pictures, then taking a picture of their driver's license front and back. When I asked your employee what would happen if I didn't have a cell phone, he stated I would not be able to rent the equipment. Then we get out to the equipment he noted I didn't have light-power cable which assist when applying the car breaks. I assumed this comes with the rental trailer, but inquired and asked did I miss it when reserving the car dolly. He said "no". then I asked how much and $16 later I had to buy a piece of wire I didn't need long term. I have a small trailer and a camper, and they both have the cable, but he said I couldn't take the equipment without the cable. So, I am really not happy with the experience to this point. When I reach my destination, I recognized the equipment was raggedy; information stickers were partially rubbed off and the unit was in need of oil to make the mechanisms easier to release and the rope that held the tires were worn. The whole unit was dirty. Lastly, I noticed the energy of the employees are a bit on edge..they must get frustrated by the customers they serve daily. Thank you for asking me to take this survey as I planned to reach out for a refund for the extra $16 I spent which I think you should inform your customers before surprising them when they pick up their reserved equipment.

When I called the U-Haul on Kansas one lady in there was rude when she first started talking to me because I was asking her to check on the U-Haul that I had previous last week and someone will let me finish this order first I use this location today, March 16 of 2024, but I would never use this location again

Customer satisfaction is above average at the UHaul's Kanis Rd location. It could have been excellent had the online check-in app worked or if there were adequate staffing. Need for more front-desk staff at his location.

I was quoted $100 an hour for installing a hitch. After looking at the time it should take to install the hitch, I figured it would take under an hour. One the phone they said it would cost over $200 but assured me that I would be charged at the hourly rate once I had the work done. It took 40 minutes to install the hitch as I had figured (I waited) but the manager said that the total price was over $200 since I didn't buy the rack at Uhaul. I was willing to spend the $100 but since I've been charged over $250 for 40 minutes of work, I don't feel comfortable doing business at that location. This is the second time I've had the same work done here. (I added a hitch I had bought 3rd party to a previous vehicle several years ago and came out happy paying approx. $90.) I don't think I'll have this type of work done here again.

We were returning the truck early so I went in to check on the price adjustment, they seemed annoyed that I had come in. I told them about the gas cap/leak issue and they didn't really seem to care.

Our experience at this location was abominable. The manager should not have responsibilities that have anything to do with customer service, since clearly the manager is incapable. (1) Our reservation was for 24/7 pick up and was confirmed the day before. When we arrived, the manager informed us the reservation had been cancelled since we had not arrived before the location's scheduled closing time. This makes no sense. Why would the reservation for 24/7 pick-up be cancelled? No explanation provided. (2) After grudgingly resetting the 24/7 reservation, the manager then retreated to her office not to be seen again. We were left struggling to get the uhaul app to work. After 30-45 minutes of hold time on the 800 number, a representative corrected the errors introduced by the manager's renewed reservation and we were able to drive off. Unfortunately, by that time it was dark so we had to take it on faith the truck had no pre-existing cosmetic damage that would come back and haunt us when we returned the truck. (3) About the only positive thing I can say is the truck was clean and presented no operational problems. Nevertheless, this does not offset the bad taste left by the check out process. Ugh.

Staff was just okay, was almost irritated that we were there. We were asking for clarification about being back before time and the man told us to not be late and that a family will be waiting on it. We said we would be early, not late. The cup holders had some kind of very sticky residue and the engine was in horrible condition. When you pressed on the brake even the tiniest amount it would lurch forward and make a huge hissing sound, and would get way too loud if you drove over 30 mph, which forced us to only take the streets vs freeway, making the trips last longer. We returned and parked it where we were told, then went in, and were told to instead park it in another area. (We were doing someone's job for them). This also impacted our time, making it look like we returned a minute late when we arrived, I believe, 3 minutes before return time. We were pretty pleased last time we came here but it's completely run down and this truck was definitely in POOR condition.

We had an extremely rude check-in attendant who made trying to get the truck we had reserved online nearly impossible. Then she announced that the 10ft truck we reserved was gone because we "were late." I asked why then should we reserve something if they are going to give them away and was told that they are like a doctor's office - if you are 15 minutes late, you lose your appointment. To which I replied they are NOT like a doctor's office because I reserved the truck and had contractually agreed to pay for it regardless what time I arrived to pick it up. Seriously, she could not have been LESS helpful and seemed to intentionally be trying to start something. She needs a different job, maybe one not around other people. Also the truck she gave us was dirty and the transmission was janky and most likely failing. If you want a better experience, call the location at Chenal and Hwy 10. If you are late, they will actually call you and see if you are still coming instead of giving your truck away and acting like you should have been psychic and known about the 15 min. policy. I will say that the gentleman who was there when we returned the truck late that day was extremely nice and professional.

The customer service was horrible . I prepaid for the equipment, and when we got there, they didn't have a dolly for us so we had to move the boxes without it . The lady had a poor attitude. It was no compromising to help with the missing dolly . It was an awful experience and I've used many Uhauls and this was by far the worse experience. I won't be using that location anymore, even if I have to drive to Conway or Pine bluff to use a different location. The whole situation was handled poorly .

I spent 30 minutes getting my vehicle. I rented it for 4 hours and 30 minutes was wasted getting my vehicle so I had to extend it for another hour! Rental time NEEDS to start once the vehicle is in the customer's possession, not the arrival time. You are ripping people off! I needed those extra 30 minutes for traffic. Instead I had to pay for another hour! Total BS!

When reserving the truck I estimated I would need to travel 180 miles, load, and unload. This was all captured in the estimated charges and pre-billing. Also, I arranged to pick up the truck first thing in the morning and asked when closing was because I would need it all day. I did not notice however that the agent only listed me as needing the truck for 4 hours (I guess shame on me). When I went to pick up the truck, I was told I would need to have it back in 4 hours. A bigger, less fuel efficient, and more expensive truck was available and I had to take it to make my move (it had the flavor of a scam???). Shame on me, but shame on UHaul for not watching out for me and making sure the information matched the rental period, etc. UHaul rents trucks every day, me infrequently. Please do a better job looking out for the customer.

Attempts were made twice to break in our storage unit. The first time, they were able to damage the door enough to enter and get several hundreds of dollars of items. The manager never said sorry nor was he helpful at all. Staff were nice and helpful but the manager lacks any concern for the victim of theft. He was too busy to help us because he was working on other paperwork. The whole thing was very frustrating, because most managers know they need to do consumer assistance no matter the situation. Another attempt was made to break in. After that, we paid to have our remaining items moved to other storage.

I wasn't able to keep the 2nd floor storage because of the ramp.. unable to push my furniture up the ramp... there was flat carts to use... Please think about a freight elevator in the nearer future...so I cancelled and U-Haul refunded my $.... The size needed wasn't available on the 1st floor...路

On truck they were rude from beginning, Mike came off rude at first but he is good at what he does he's the manager, then there's the you ung female now she not nice at all but I understand there's some shady people , the website y'all have is needing some work it's not good at all that's where most of the problems stemmed from. I was assigned a unit that I did not have access to. There were extra trailers and U-Haul equipment in the way. We had to go inside and asked someone to move it even then there were cars parked in the area which made it almost impossible to reach my unit. If we cannot access the larger units, why even assign them to anyone? I am upset only with this location on Kanis, U-Haul in general has been good to me in the past especially the location on baseline in Southwest Little Rock. It has lots of space to unload, With nothing in the way. I needed something closer to home so I picked the Kanis location but I should have just driven the extra miles.

Although I had a pretty good experience with this facility, I experienced mold and mildew on my items and clothing up on removing my belongings. I paid for a controlled climate purposely to avoid this but ended ip with mold and mildew anyway. I am highly disappointed that this happened even though I paid for the controlled climate unit. These irems now myst be replaced.

There were only people that were willing to help customers outside even if they were trying to call the automated call cycle would be on because imaybe they are two hours or an hour from smoke break and they put out the cigarette to run in and you pull up into a handicap spot because my hang tag showed inside my truck but no one came to the back until I had asked a young African American to move the other truck to as well because we were trying to get as much as possible out my storage and that young man helped to move every piece carefully as possible so as not too make much movement because somehow things had shifted and I knew who used my code only me unless given access by me but I had to be there to physically put it in by night or day…which is why I chose your largest outside unit @management…Mr Chris…I was your client in the full size unit that held the most furniture because of CoVid I was immediately released to go home to NLR because I lived in town about 30 minutes from campus I packed what I could until Augustnand I moved completely with your biggest truck and a one way reservation to Little Rock but we got there late at night but I knew my instructions really well..and the lock I bought at the Uhaul @ pickup of truck somehow didn’t get put o one no more than the 2nd evening I was notified that there was no lock on my unit and truly there was a busted blue lock left open & hanging on barely to all my precious so I hoped everything was okay and carefully put a new lock on… and it’s still in my truck from that day to this and Mr Chris I know you read poor or good reviews this one is bitter sweet because I lived the 25 access when I learned immediately to follow the assigned path cause 24 clearance I support the payment and you keep the film footage and if you roll them back to the Wednesday before thanksgiving a young man by the lady name of “Chisholm” assisted me and the ladies sat inside never came out to see what was going on nor did they answer the phone as I drove all the way to my storage because my brother in law was frustrated because of a disability( veteran tags disabled due to back he couldn’t go back and forth because he waited for me and came to the truck and I stopped at the kiosk as they’d told him and I peered thru the glass quickly to see one person being assisted which was a white lady getting immediate assistance and one black guy who saw me looking in and felt uncomfortable 🥴 as he turned away his glance…so I bloated my horn because I knew it was a holiday and it was two young ladies at the desk who’d look or listen to the phone and not attend to anything or anyone outside those doors black or white make nor female….which one younger and very cute woman a little chunky but was very kind because she saw all of my broken pieces of antique furniture broken and busted laying on the ground and also I taped everything I didn’t submit it because my heat had gone out in my home and I was displaced so I was fighting my health because of a second major knee surgery torn meniscus…and as I lay in the bed I’m trying not to cry anymore over the loss of furniture that can’t be replaced be cause I so carefully moved and wrapped everything I could in Russellville as my younger brother 6’4 at least 309 prior to CoVid 29 status which he caught almost twice because he’s a very hard worker but suffered from undiagnosed sleep apnea , back log that killed so many as they waited in line with the VA to get their treatment for back that got thrown out because you’d fear nothing to jump out of a plane and hit the ground running if your bands of men by blood 🩸 or not and you took an oath as I do now as well every time I testify as a expert witness I mute the phone and let the courts no my status in advance because the knee pain started as I started to climb stairs slower in beautiful town home had to be locked up with the beautiful new furniture I hand picked with care and had it expertly delivered at one hundred dollars 💵 to get my 1st check because I couldn’t drive back and fourth physically at the time because my body could t take the one hour and 15 to thirty minutes as long as you’re flowing with the traffic toward ATU WITHOUT POLICE / and many other variables controlled by Mother Nature and not just the police and yes I’m African American woman and very proud of my full faculty status that I was asked to come to ATU for a meeting with the Rehabilitation board that I still sit on but the coordinator is much older and yet remains a very proud Air Force veteran that retired as full director at Ft roots and met me by addjunt status on line because my program is to help people like me fat tall small wheelchair or barely walking we all need a little help but don’t make wait to respond because the woman that helped me makes me cry because she has a pure heart but not complexion because I know the pain watching those with addictions and how they suffer and yet we still turn a blind eye ..not me

I held a storage unit with this facility for about four years. I paid on time. As time went on the facility began to go down hill. They removed the main gate to the storage units, thus providing less security. Many of the other tenants were delinquent on payments. Uhaul staff started loitering about the facility at odd hours appearing to be sketchy. Finally my unit was burglarized and the thieves covered their tracks by putting their own lock on my unit. It was methodical and planned, giving the appearance of being an inside job. Don't leave your stuff here. They didn't even sound surprised when I reported it because they didn't care.

Only problem I had with U-Haul was there was no grace period for payments. A late fee was assessed immediately. I understand sometimes I was a couple weeks late and I understand the late fee in that instance, but when I was only a day late I was assessed a $30 late fee and that's hard when someone lives paycheck to paycheck.

The unit and storage areas were clean and access was convenient, etc. pricing was also reasonable. The biggest frustration point was difficulty in reaching a person over the phone. This was a consistent struggle over the years.

Please clean up the parking lot i had to get 2 brand new tires bc I had 2 screws and 1 nail in 2 different tires. My husband picked up a large screw with a wing nut attached. I'd like to sue yall for new tires but I can't prove it even through I picked up countless nails and screws and even warned other people check your tires !!!

Your GM is a racist. She was very rude to me and she refuse to respond to my emails or ones from my family. I paid you all for about three years, and when i was hospitalized for emergency surgery, my daughter asked for a possible ext. Dhe even had a letter from my doctor. Your female GM said, I don't care if she is sick. She has to pay. My daughter never said she would pay, only asked for a few days after the 3rd. So, no I will not be telling anybody about how good you are. You all should be ashamed. She is a rude, racist who does nit have a heart of compassion. I paid, yes I did!

The employees were very friendly and helpful, but the facilities seemed to have many issues. A lot of interior lights were burned out on multiple occasions when we visited, the gate to access the storage building area was always open when we visited, we noticed rat poison laying around, multiple units near my own had cards on the door that said they had mold growing inside and remained that way the entirety of the time I had my unit, and the insulation on the ceiling in my unit was falling apart so badly that all of my items had to be cleaned off upon removal. As I said, the staff was always kind and helpful, but the facilities could use some better upkeep.

I had a free one month storage as a bonus for renting from Uhaul which in itself was a plus. The staff went above and beyond in networking for me to help sell the fridge I was storing, saving me storage fees. I am very grateful to them for their efforts and time. It is a blessing to have caring people, especially during the time of a stressful move. Thank you again management and staff of Kanis Rd store in Little Rock.

My only complaint is that the outdoor access storage unit I reserved online was not actually available when I arrived. There were indoor and larger units available, just not what I asked for or what was confirmed online. The storage unit I ended up with was $30 more per month, which will add up over time. I was told that the U-Haul website confirmation doesn't necessarily mean anything for the local U-haul businesses. I've had this problem before where the right hand doesn't know (or care) what the left hand is doing. The local folks did try to accommodate my exist request, but it would have meant going to a different branch/facility, one further away from my residence. The average rating is for the complete (and final day of the) U-Haul experience.
