We had to remind the person loaning us the truck that we also ordered moving pads, but in the end they only gave us 6 instead of the 12 from our reservation. We only found out as we were moving that we didn't have what we originally requested. Luckily it wasn't an issue when we were returning them.

I rented a truck with 1/4 fuel tank and I returned the truck on the same day after 25 miles of usage. They charged me $30 because I returned the truck with the gas tank lower than 1/4 gas. Why would they give us so little gas to begin with? I wonder why?

The employees at the La Habra UHaul are amazing. I have been renting from them for over 35 years. They go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met and you have a great experience. I was called the evening before to notify that my pickup location was changed from Tustin to Placentia, then an hour before my pickup I was called and notified another change to La Habra, which took me an hour round trip and an extra 20 miles. Plus the per mile rate was $0,5 higher than advertised on the website.

Originally Whittier location did not have requested trailer. LA Habra had it. Online reservation was easy. Processing was easy. Hooked up and secured trailer. Inspected with a walk around and handed paperwork. Online termination location was texted and easy at an Oregon location. U Haul was a great first experience.

The app is slow and locks up. I needs a lot of tech work. Also, I returned the truck with almost a half tank more than what I got it with and no credit was offered. That's unacceptable. If a customer overfills the tank by a significant amount they should be credited.

I arrived before my appointment and attempted to use my app to pick up my 26ft truck. The app informed me that there is an issue with the equipment and to call 800 number. While on hold, i walked into the location and spoke to Calvin. Calvin informed me that there is no truck for me. He was non challant and non apologetic. First Calvin said that they only had two trucks (one was for a reservation made before me) ( the other one was out with a customer that is late returning it) i asked Calvin about the reason behind: 1- my being able to make a reservation for a truck that didn't exist. 2-the reason why i was not notified, prior to my arrival, by his location that there was not truck for me. Calvin kept saying "I'm not sure" again showing not concern or apologizing. A customer service representative answered the phone and stated that she will call the manager of the location. She then came back on the phone and said that "they" should have a truck for me. I explained to the customer service representative on the phone that they don't seem to want to help me. She stated that i should go back to the counter and speak to Calvin because he already has a truck for me. I went back to Calvin (he was looking down on his phone while sitting down and hiding behind register merchandise) he had the truck key in front of him. I asked him if he had a truck for me. He said "yes" i asked him (why didn't you come and let know that you had a truck for me? " He stated" i wanted to let you talk to customer service " Calvin proceeded to sign me up for the magic truck that appeared out of nowhere. He was very frustrated and kept rolling his eyes. No eye contact, no explanation and no apology from the man. He proceeded to state that i had to return the truck in 10 hours and not 24hrs. I didn't have a choice at that point. The truck engine was in really bad shape. It kept shaking and struggling to reach low speeds. I have rented many trucks from your company. This was the worst experience i have had.

Over the course of a 18 months that I had a storage room at this location my overall experience was not bad. The reason I am selecting Below Average is the people that work in the office are a hit or miss. One of my family members also has a storage unit at this location, they upgraded their storage unit to a larger one and when they did that, the people working their front desk cancelled my unit because we share the same last name. I could not comprehend how a mistake like this was possible. Also, my specific storage unit had a lot of termites in the back corner, as I removed boxes on the last day I notified the folks working at the front desk. My hope is that whoever rents that unit next, doesn't have that same termite issue.

After picking up trailer I got a "before you leave" notification telling me I had to perform a critical vehicle inspection and it didn't let you do it unless you were AT THE FACILITY. I had just spent time with the U Haul employee paying attention to the proper hookup. Why didn't the employee tell me to do this critical inspection and hit the link in my notification? I wasn't sure if the insurance money I paid was wasted because I didn't do the inspection. Being on a tight schedule, I certainly wasn't going to drive all the way back to the facility.

I had to go to the is location because my truck pickup was out of blankets. This is a main location and if you are counting miles like I was you will burn 4 to 10 in the same situation. My drop off location gave me back the 5 miles as I was at the first 30 that came with my rental. All in all it was at the end of the month and I got everything done.

Sort of false advertizing. Trailer was under sized... reserved a 4x7, was labeled 4x7 at pick up, was only 40 inches wide... considerably short of 48, almost failed to meet my need but luckily I was able to manage. Truth in advertising means return customers.

Have a bit more help. I had to wait quite awhile until the representative finished with the previous customer before I was helped. Upon the return it took more than usual to get checked out as well. Seemed to be short staffed. Otherwise I had a positive experience and will use your service again.

The two people who helped me (reservation, then pick up) were great. Next year that location may want to schedule 2 employees for the Friday after Thanksgiving. There was a line of six behind me( and I waited 20 min) because only one person to do it all. At 8 AM. And we all had reservations.

You really need to have an elevator for any storage location that has more than one story. It just doesn't make any sense to not include that in the building plans. Otherwise I would have rated a five star.

They never answer the phone so it makes it hard to do a payment over the phone. The call is always forwarded to the call center . I've actually walked in on the phone just to see them sitting there doing nothing . Let's not talk about the rude customer service and the lies they tell you . I can go on and on but I'll stop . This isn't the best U-Haul I've used. To get to the second floor there is no elevator which is good when you got furniture. Also on the 1st floor you can consider those helpful carts ment to get you're stuff to the unit unless. To get to most of the bottom floor there is a step-down which makes the carts pointless.

The staff was amazing. They were always there to help you when you needed it. The place was clean and orderly. They really care about their customers . I definately recommend renting at this Uhaul . You will be a very happy customer.

Staff really did not seem like they liked their job. I had to go back 6 times to get an access card since equipment was not working. When I took everything out Adam inspected but was still charged

After a single declined transaction, the cashier assisting me Instantly soured in mood and became unfriendly as if I had nconvenienced her. (I paid my INITIAL bill with a different tender) Be kind

Most storage facilities are adequate on the points listed above, but where are you lost me was taking a FULL month's rent for ONLY 3 days, refusing to prorate the rent and give a refund. Poor cust svc

Very poor customer service these people are ripping people off left and right. They claim I was in an accident that never happened just so they charge me an extra 700$. I do not recommend uhaul

Jennifer, Daniel and Klenise have been going the extra mile for me. I won't be moving out my belongings from my storage unit even though there are several Storage Companies that have lower rent.

I reserved a storage unit online only to find out that my reservation was nowhere to be found in their computer system. To make matters worse, the employees were clueless

If I could rate this U-Haul location a million stars I would. This Storage is by far the best store place around the area if you ask me I think the manager deserves a raise for all the hard work!!

200 characters is not enough. Part time representative was poorly trained on the computer. I was lied to about my 24/7 access from Reservations. My space location is acceptable.

Storage lock was cracked into. Didn't get a clear story on what actually happened. No one contacted us when they found out and placed new lock on storage. Couldn't get contract emailed to us or online

Having an elevator would be very helpful as well as having air conditioning. I also think that the unit is too expensive for what it is and the ceiling is super unsafe with nails coming through.
