When I got the trailer, it smelled like weed. I had to go buy air freshener spray because I was moving fabric furniture such as my couch and the smell was so strong. Very disappointed as I can smell the weed in my couch.

When I came to the location the uhaul representatives told me to go to, I was told there were no uboxes, and that the uboxes were with another dealer in Dallas. This had all been scheduled for some months.

communication from the front desk to the guys on the property.... need to wait for confirmation through the walkie talkies... i waited in for help and the worker had no clue why i was just standing there, then there was a mix up with key availability and my contract was changed while i stood there.. other than that, all was good. thank you for making my move efficient....

The pick up at this location was very poor, I ordered 4 dolly's this location did not have any dolly's available at this store I had to purchase 2 dolly's and 2 furniture dolly's at pick up. when I dropped off the U Haul the customer service was horrible I was being charged for the 4 dolly's that the location did not have in stock, the gentleman at the drop off was in a terrible mood and was not nice at all, had a terrible demeanor and attitude

When I arrived to pick the trailer the guy behind the counter was on his phone the whole time via an earpiece so I never knew if he was paying attention or talking to me or the person the phone. When I dropped off the trailer the entrance was blocked and I had to wait 15 minutes before receiving any assistance.

No one wanted to help me at all. Everyone seemed to have a chip on their shoulder as if customers were bothering them. It seemed as if the staff were trying to find reasons to not help. One staff member even took a five minute personal phone call in the middle of assisting me. I had to ask around to several staff members to find out where to drop my rental off at. Will never rent again.

Picked up an aluminum panel screw/bolt in my left rear tire. Flat tire got fixed, but was a big inconvenience and delayed our return trip back to KC on Sunday morning.

The staff here is terrible, especially Adrian and Ross. Adrian originally said they had no trucks available for me when I had a reservation and had received a confirmation text and email. She had the worst attitude and was a complete bitch to me and my father for literally walking into the store. I had to call customer service to ask them to help find me a truck, as my move was scheduled for that day. They did let me know a truck was available and to return to the location. Again, Adrian was extremely rude the 2nd time and never apologized for providing the wrong information before. She made it seem like it was my fault when all I did was make a reservation at the store. Customer service said to call back after I return my truck to get compensation, which was basically providing notes to the manager, Ross. Ross sent me a generic email 'apologizing for the miscommunication' and never picked up the phone to apologize for his extremely rude staff. He didn't even address the email to me, it was a literal copy/paste. I asked if he could speak live and he has yet to respond. I will never use Uhaul again and am beyond disgusted how I was treated by their staff.

The owner was the only employee there, and I was the only customer (nice). He was half interested in helping me with this rental and barely explained anything. He was more interested in his cellphone than me. I was moving my belongings from Dallas, Tx to San Marcos, TX (250 miles south).

I had to moved 2 trailers my self out of the way to be able to get the one I had reserved. What's the point of making a reservation and indicating the time of pick up if the item selected is not ready. The trailer had dirt on it when I picked it up, I returned the trailer in the same condition, the guy did help me tried to charge me for the trailer having the same dirt on it.

One suggestion that may not be specific to this location, but more to the mobile app experience is that the app shows a single price for renting the truck, but doesn't say upfront that there's a certain number of mileage included and beyond that you get charged for additional miles I think it would be better to show that upfront that was my only complaint about the rental. Everything else went pretty smooth

The last thing any renter wants is to look for gas right after picking up a Uhaul. That was what I faced. Wasting mileage and gas looking for a gas station because the Uhaul truck was almost empty.

The staff is not professional or helpful at all. Upper management is good, but everyone at the store level is rude, and very hard to deal with. They also raise their prices often and they have zero philanthropic support.

I recently utilized the U-Haul location on northwest hwy in Dallas, and I must say, my experience was top-notch. Uhaul stores are a huge waste of time. I made a reservation for a dealer near my home, then I received an update that my reservation changed to a location further away (A uhaul mega store with one employee running it). Even with a reservation, it took way too long to get my trailer and get on the road. This is always the case with this these big stores. The reason for me using the independent dealers.

The return location front desk personnel was one of the few worst person I've ever met. He was very rude and showed very very poor attitude and customer service. I will never visit this place again ever!

2/17/24. When I picked up the truck in the morning the customer service was ok. But when I returned the truck in the afternoon, I walked up to the desk again to tell him I was returning the truck. He just says "do it over there!" and points. I said "Where?, the next building?" He says "No the tent! The tent! Line up at the tent!" So I line up at the tent and nobody explains to me what to do. The worker at the tent when he finally acknowledged me after 10 minutes just barks "Line the truck up straight! And make sure the keys are in the ignition!" They should tell people that when you return the truck you should drive up to the tent. This would eliminate the disgruntled workers from treating customers like cattle. Very rude service here.

The attendant was very rude. I, unfortunately, needed a truck a day it was raining, and the gentleman left the additional items I purchased in the rain. If you're a first-time customer, they will not assist you and will leave you to figure it out.

Truck was so out of alignment it was difficult to stay in my lane, Staff were not friendly, the App rarely works for a return. Generally the app will not find the location to return the vehicle. And, yes, my location services.were turned on. I rent frequently to pick up and move small.peoces of furniture but the check in check out process is so time consuming I am looking for other providers.i shouldn't have to treat every rental like it's brand new, the app saves everything so it should be quicker and easier.

We were given a death trap of a rental. The bearings were shot and the wheel could have come off. This was for a long distance drive. Absolutely crazy this is allowed to happen. If we didn't stop because of the sound it was making we could have been seriously hurt or hurt someone else. The mechanic told us "god was with you" meaning we were lucky to come out unscathed.

We had such a positive experience at the 9929 Harry Hines U-haul! Customer service really shined and the staff made sure our long day packing was as smooth as possible. We had some confusion in location and truck pick-up and Andre went out of his way to ensure we would still have our equipment at the correct location. George Jones and Keena were also very helpful with our truck rental and storage clean out. We would definitely recommend based on their service alone!

I think that the representative was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. The man really knew his stuff when reserving my 10" van. I did not like the accessibility of the storage units because the non-climate controlled units did not have a ramp like the climate controlled ones. So hetting stuff in and out was to walk up and down stairs. Next time I get a storage unit I will look for one outside and on ground level at a cheaper price. But I did like the convenience of having my storage close by my apt. and being able to rent a u-haul and buy moving supplies.

Once they ware done with their pow-wow and I told them what I needed lady that was helping me proceed to argue with me and insult my intelligence. Because I rented the storage facility site unseen I was unaware there was no AC nor was there any type of ventilation. When I arrived it was 106° outside and what felt like 200° inside and no elevator or lift system to go to the second floor. Because I did everything online I called the storage facility prior to arriving to confirm everything. I was told by the rep that I needed a card to access the gate which turned out not to be true, I only needed an access code which I was not given online. Because I would arrive after closing hours I had to have a family member go to the facility before it closed to get this card I needed to access the gate and it was then I realized a card was not needed. It appears all the reps working that site was not on the same sheet of music. I eventually got everything moved from the trailer into the storage room but if given the opportunity to do it again I'll make sure there is some type of ventilation even if there is no AC and get a storage unit on the ground. Although the reps were not on the same sheet of music I did find them to be professional. I don't blame my not so great experience on Uhaul, it's purely my responsibility to know where I'm going and what to expect before arriving with proper planning.

Maybe it was mentioned somewhere, but I did not see that this 2-story facility does not have any elevators. So if you're moving furniture up to a 2nd floor unit, it's on you, and the stairs are not the easiest to navigate. That was something that should be much more prominently mentioned as a warning to pending new customers. We made it work, but certainly would have been nice to know and prepare for prior to arriving. Parking and navigating with anything larger than a 10-15' U-Haul is also very difficult as the lanes between the storage buildings are narrow and there is only one way in and out of the facility - which was nicely blocked 1/2 way by a unit owner's pickup truck who left it there for most of the day, blocking the exit side of the lane leading in and out.

I had a reservation and when I arrived the gentleman told me my unit was not available. So I had to "manually get put into the system". I was paying movers by the hour that day and had to wait in your building for over 30 minutes while your employee searched through his computer trying to find me a unit. I also didn't like that 2 other individuals who came after me was serviced before me and while I was being serviced. None of it made sense. If I wasn't paying movers by the hour who were already there with me I absolutely would have chose to store my belongings at different location. The staff was nice but it seemed like they were short handed. I hope this review helps improve the customers experience in the future.

I made the reservation for a 10x10 unit that was climate controlled and had indoor access. When I got there the owner took forever to assist and get everything set up. It was only after that I learned there was NO ELEVATOR and I terminated the contract. It was infuriating - who puts large units on an upper floor with no elevator?!?!

While the facility itself was fine, every time I had to go in the office was a nightmare. I usually had an unacceptably long wait due to there not being enough staff and the staff that is present being inefficient. I always left the office frustrated and more confused than when I went in. I would recommend any other storage facility before this one.

I made a reservation for 10x25 storage in advace, when I arrived they had only 10x10. The people on the Harry Hains location said that I didn't have a reservation for storage. Also the young girl(Unfortunately I don't have her name) on the front desk was not professional at all to taking care clients and she was also fighting and answered rude to her coworkers by the hand radio in front everyone. She had big attitud and never keep eye contact when I talked to her. Finally a gentleman helped me to finish with the process of returning the trailer and getting the unit. It is really frustrated because we were driving 17 hours from Florida to Texas and arrived to a place where the cuat service is poor and the reservation previously made it was not respect. At the end I have to go another place and find another storage.

I have had a storage unit some where for 16 years, my experience with haul has fixed that, never again having to deal with morons that would say stuff like "we just wanted you too come inside and see us" in the middle of a pandemic. No more missing flights because I had to spend hours trying to get into my storage unit because of a lock saying i hadn't paid for it which was not they case and you morons even admitted that openly. My experience was the worst thing you could ever have, the incompetence was a level I never thought possible.

I MADE A RESERVATION FOR A SMALL ROOM ON THE GROUND AND IT WAS SAID TO BE CONFIRMED BY THE REPRESENTATIVE ON THE PHONE AND RECEIVED A CONFIRM #. ON check in found out that NO ground was or requested size was available so I was up sold on a larger more expensive room...The store representative said that a confirmation # didn't reserve a room it was a spot in line...I was completely miss lead....I'm working on a different facility for my storage needs...The electricity was out at the facility in 105 degree weather so there were NO LIGHTS or AIR conditioning.... This place is a DUMP... The. ONLY thing good about the situation was the employee there that work on finding something that worked..

The staff was not the best and we always can trouble getting in and out the main gate and the gates door to get access to our unit I moved out because for like 3 weeks already and still till this day they have not been having electricity in that place I would appreciate it if I get my refund back for this last month because y would we have to pay and they company can not even pay to get the light on/fixed not good and bad service

Worst place to rent a storage place. Nasty, hot. Employee was rude, and very slow… didn't seem to interested in his job, nor helping me. So, I just want my refund back. Also, was told I had to pay for a lock, but a free lock came with it already in the storage ??? So that didn't make any sense to me. The employee said he refunded my money back, but I haven't received it yet.

Storage was very bad, Most of the time gate will be locked or not working. We will have walk to counter ask them to open. People of counter was very lazy and slow process. It is very big location only person working on the counter. It took 30 mins to complete per person. Storage is very creepy. Maid who is working there she is very very good and patient(50+ women). Very helpful when gate code is not working. She is only one positive for this location.

Overall good assistance. Accept they confused where I would return equipment and one of the places on Ferguson we were there at 7 and no one showed up to work until 9. Either way the guy who setup the storage and all of the reps were doing their job and good customer support. Thanks

Everything was great, except that the keypad to access my unit does not work and thus I cannot access it by myself. That's really bad and made the whole experience a lot worse. Otherwise, it would have been great. I really exoect this to be fixed soon. On another note, I expected the unit to have indoor light. I would have thought that was a basic courtesy.

Issues with uhaul services 1. The exact storage space that I reserved was not available. 2. I was told by more than one rep that my reserved space would have elevator access as it was to be on the second floor. This facility does not have elevator access. 3. The only space available for the space I needed was of course more since it was on the first floor.

Nothing about my experience was good! The manager used my race against me. I've never been more humiliated and degraded. If I was not so desperate for a unit I work off walked out. The way he talked to me and the things he made me do was so racist. To say he humiliated me would not be accurate. The manager did mentally attack my character and fellas if I'm slightly above dirt beneath his feet.

Short handed in the beginning, long wait times, phone never answered. Was told about quality of customer care, was told to get out and ask people to apply for jobs. That didn't set well. Non apologetic for any additional wait times that I had during my time. I partially blame Covid, but management could have been more forthcoming with some level of empathy and concern.

Just a recommendation because my experience was great overall. There could be lighting in the actual storage unit. Motion detected preferably so people don't forget to turn it off and waste electricity. Also it was super hot in the unit I was in. Maybe some type of air flow. I had an upstairs unit and it was difficult going up and down with no air circulating.

Updating the Uhaul to have a USB port would make this excellent. I would look at other options if I have to drive 1000 miles again to see if there are USB ports. Other than that I had no issues. It uses a ton of gas.

I think they need to hire more staff. When I arrived I went in asked the older white male for assistance with the auto transport to take my car off (that's what I was told to do from Chantilly location), he advised to get in my car and someone will be over to guide me down. Here is where I had the issue I advised him that I couldn't get in because the things were blocking the doors, he said they come off just pop them off or something to that sort. I said i don't know how and I was not there when U-Haul put it together. He then rolled his eyes and shook his head as if I worked for U-Haul and I knew what he was talking about. At that point Jesse just came and told me I can help you ma'am (thank goodness). He then guides me off I advised him I'm waiting on movers where can I move truck he told me at the storage unit. Well they have not giving me one yet so no access. He then told me to pull over to the right. I waited in the truck until he can move the auto transport for maybe 5 to 10 minutes because I could not back up with it there. I got out and asked when he was moving it he told me it would be a while and just leave my truck there. I go inside speak with Barbara (very nice) she calls the young lady to show me the units. The one I selected had a big helium tank in there. She advised by the time I get back it would be moved. Well i came back the tank was right outside my unit actually in the way. However my movers moved everything in. We closed the door had a little struggle but we got it closed. Went to open it back up and it would only lift half way. Just realizing after unloading that the unit door was broken. I went and spoke with Barbara Advised her it was broken and when shut the top right side is kinda open. She then said she would get one of the men to look at it. I had to go because It was almost 3 o'clock at that moment I had been there since 12p with all the waiting and going back and forth. She then advises me to come in tomorrow and my stuff would be fine because they have cameras everywhere. This was a very stressful experience. We had just driven 20 plus hours came in expecting everything to go seamlessly and it did not.

Despite several phone calls to the actual facility to double check , all my calls were siphoned off to main Your customer service dept phone line - they know nothing about the individual facilites , booked the wrong size storage unit and AND told me That as long as I arrived before closing ( moving from four hours away ) that my movers could unload my 26 ft truck That night. What a mess!! When I arrived well before closing , was to we were Not able to unload , didnt have a correct size unit booked there, finally got a couple of units secured for unloading in the morning , after the booking mixup - but when we arrived ! They had no air conditioning!! In texas!! Though that had always been my request - Air conditioned unit - One unit had holes in the wall - Apparently all they had available to fix the problems I will never, ever ever use your facilities again - It was a complete nightmare experience and my stuff is now storage in the heat and cold - Your customer service people do not! Know what they are doing and this centralized phone system is truly a nightmare !

This year service was terrible. Justin Davis didn't reply to ANY emails & I still have questions. We were charged tax and for extra days - not our fault - your truck was broken. Very disappointed.

We rented 3 Uboxes and the location we wanted them set was tricky. The fork lift operator put them exactly where we wanted them with no complaints. It was a friendly can do experience.

The delivery "ladies" were amazing in both the drop off and pick up locations. I highly recommend using this means of transport for moving.

I was not offered what I was promised. I am 61 years old and I don't want to have to carry things up one flight of steps and then have to come back down and get more. I was promised to drive up. Rude!

My Ubox arrived 3 days late, and I was told it was available to pick up...I drove an hour to pick it up, and they said it wouldn't be available for 2 more days. That was frustrating.

I rented 5 Uboxes and got charged for an additional month which was not my fault. I called and was told that my bank had already been contacted and would take 3 to 5 business days to reverse the charg

Most of this survey does not apply. I did not go to the facility. Unlike my pick-up location, NW Hwy were flaky. They stood me up twice for delivery, were disorganized, and even overcharged me.

Booked my u-box and the day it shipped they changed the guaranteed date by 6 days later. Allied and talked to 6 people. Got to no answer as to why. Went to pick it up. It wasn't there. At diff place.

I needed to setup a payment plan to pay off the charges occurred while I was in jail. You denied me the payment plan and sold my property that was in the van. Nice way to treat a Vet.
