Adapt the electric connection so there doesn't need to be an adapter, or make sure it's not forgotten during hook up. Not huge, but a slight hassle and this would streamline things

I was on holidays in Kelowna when my storage became unavailable do to my daughter's move. I reached out to U-Haul and they offered me FREE storage for the duration of my two week holiday and a U-Haul trailer to take my furniture home. I highly recommend, kind, courteous staff.

This was a one way rental from Ontario to BC and when I picked up the truck and trailer I was told i would be credited at destination for unused km's and days, i returned it 5 days early and over 1000km under what was included. I was denied any refund or credit for anything and was informed by both the return location and uhaul head office customer service that no such credit exists for one way rentals and the pick location lied to me. So now they can rent out the truck and trailer again and double dip on charges. Uhaul corporate was no help and said that "every renter should read out the entire policy over the phone to corporate when picking up the rental to ensure it is accurate". Uhaul Canada reminds me of when I served overseas and every 3rd world street vendor is trying to scam you.

all staff was amazing 5 stars above and beyond. my only problem is that when I went to get my deposit back the internet the service employee was using was so slow it took 30min to finish the transaction at no fault of the employee. please fix internet speed issues and this will make me more likely to use and recommend your service.

I had to rent a truck for 200km of driving AND IT ONLY HAD 1/4 TANK

The system was down so we were there for an hour as they entered our information 2-3 times. All the dollies were in use and we had to remind them to give us the other things we reserved. We were charged for two UHAULs and got numerous phone calls saying we hadn't picked up our UHAUL, that we picked up the wrong UHAUL, that they lost a set of keys and asking what our key id was. When we dropped off the UHAUL it told us to drop it at two locations that we didn't request because it still thought we had two UHAULs out, so we called customer service and they said we could leave it at the original location and then when we used the online return process it said we had driven 35 000 miles. I don't think I'll ever rent a UHAUL again after that experience.

Really recommend Kelowna U-Haul. I used the one month free storage and a one way trailer to North Van after 2 weeks. Whole experience went without a hitch. Wonderful, kind, understanding, helpful staff. Je recommande fortement ce service.

The front desk staff were unfriendly and could not answer my questions. I was charged 3 times on my credit card and then had to pay another $20 when dropping off and the woman I spoke to could not tell me why. She basically told me "that's how Uhaul does things". Once I finished inside I came out to find that the attendant had removed the trailer from my truck but left it sitting right behind me so I was blocked in. I had to move the trailer out of the way by myself so I could leave. I would like customer service to contact me.

My drop off made me uneasy as personal did not check extra rentals (blankets and big trolley) in the back of the truck while I was there. The drop off was plugged with rental trucks being checked in. Made me uneasy about getting extra charges for no reason.

I was very suspicious when the agent used her personal cel phone to take pictures of my drivers license. I didn't see the sign explaining why she did that until later on. She also took a couple pictures of the computer screen during the process without explaining what was on the screen, which left me wondering if my credit card info was on the screen. Also, while I understand the policy of taking a picture of my drivers license, it contains more information than simply a name and drivers license number. With my name, date of birth, address, height, weight, eye color etc, as well as the drivers license serial number and QR code on the reverse side, this is enough information to cause a serious identity fraud issue. And while it is likely that she was using the camera on her phone to capture a copy of my card, she used her personal phone to do so. Had she used another device in a case that had U-Haul branding on it, I don't think I would have given it a second thought. A couple cheap android phones with the app or website loaded and a U-Haul sticker on the back to make it look more official would go a long way of making security minded customers like myself feel like my information is secure. Also the process for reserving the nedded equipment was very frustrating. I tried to reserve one for last weekend, the reservation was confirmed online, I recieved a call from an agent confirming my pick up time and location. Then as I was a couple miles from my home on the way to pick it up, I got a text notification that my pick up location had changed to 250km in the opposite direction from my pick up location and where the equipment was needed. Needless to say I cancelled that and attempted to rebook for the following weekend. My pickup time and location was again confirmed (for Friday), again a few days before I was notified by text that my pick up location had been moved again. I selected to keep my location and time on the website to which I got a phone call shortly after from an agent who told me that even though everything was confirmed on the website, they didn't have the equipment I needed on that day. Extremely frustrated and ready to cancel and pay the extra money to have the car towed professionally, I asked if she had any way to tell me with 100 % certainty when I could get the equipment I needed from the location nearest me, she came back very quickly that instead of Friday, one was available for Saturday. Why the website couldn't say that or she didn't suggest another day as an option before trying to send me 250km out of my way, I do not know. Maybe some coaching to get the agents to suggest another day before sending us so far away to another location could alleviate this frustration. Otherwise the check in process was easy. She said someone would be right out to hook up the trailer for me, after waiting nearly 15 minutes, I started hooking it up myself. Just as I was finishing he finally arrived and verified everything was setup right and confirmed the lights were working. Honestly, I'm not upset about this, I know how to hook up a trailer. It's just don't way someone will be right out if it's going to take 10-15 minutes, just say so. And the return process was even easier, there were multiple people there to unhook the trailer and I was off in no time.

The staff are very helpful and the place is definitely well maintained. When I was there yesterday there was a guy mopping the walls! You need a long handle to get the top bits lol. There's always someone scooting around checking the lot too. As for storage spots, my first experience with Uhaul, I wasn't thrilled with the building I was in, only 2 parking bays. My 2nd has been great. Large bays for parking and room for several vehicles at once. The rental prices are very good too. I was at a much more time expensive facility and they were the ones who recommended I give Uhaul another try.

Picking up the moving truck was not working on my phone so I had to wait until the location was open to pick up my truck. Maybe make it an easier process to pickup outside hours. Other than that everyone was really friendly

The Elevator to the second floor sucks it takes way to long for the door to open. This should be addressed and fixed asap. Nobody has time to wait for an elevator door to take as long as it does. Constant alarms going off, enough to drive a good customer crazy.

If you are thinking of buying a trailer for the very occasional use or feel bad about borrying somebody else's yet again, look at the rates from u-haul first. I thought the prices were very conducive to renting.

I was in a real tight spot. I live in another city now but still had most of my belongings at my daughter's here, in Kelowna. Her landlord had announced to her that she is selling the house so within 2 weeks my daughter found a small condo to move into. I needed storage fast and I needed to get my belongings to my new town! U-Haul not only offered me an affordable trailer for my van but a hitch also and what really put me over the edge with gratitude was free storage for the two weeks while I was still in town. Amazing! The young lady who served me was so kind and understanding…. a big shout out to Harkirat Saini she is wonderful… I gave her a big hug as I was so emotional!!

While the equipment was fine, I found the customer service appalling. The experience was much different than last time I visited a U-Haul. - First, I don't know why a photo of my face is required - isn't it enough to take a scan of my driver's license? This feels highly intrusive. - Second, I selected the option to visit the desk rather than check in online. Regardless, the clerk sent me a link to scan and upload the license myself (in addition to my photo). What is the point of having a service counter if they are just going to make me do this using my own phone? - Third, no instructions were given for returning the vehicle so I parked it where I found it. When I went inside to return the keys I was told no, I had to drive it back to the tent near the entrance. I suggested to the attendant that they put up some signage to let people know this (or tell them when they pick up the vehicle) but they retorted that there are already signs on both sides of the lot, which were both not visible because they are hidden behind parked cube vans. I shouldn't have to move the vehicle after it's returned and this definitely shouldn't require backing up across the parking lot. - Fourth, why was my final total higher than the initial authorisation? When asked to estimate the total driving distance I told them 15 km, however the actual distance on the receipt is only 12 km. How then did the cost increase? It seems there are some deceptive practices going on here... - Fifth, I do not blame the staff on site for any of these issues, as they clearly have no customer service experience. In fact they appear to be practically children. Overall, it seems there are many efforts made to cut costs. This results in very poor customer service and an unloading of labour onto the customer. The result is a highly unpleasant and invasive experience that I hope never to repeat.

Truck was in bad shape, tow dolly ratchets were seized, fuel estimate for refill was off and over charged me and 1,43 per mile was absolutely way too high. When I can rent a 2023 1 ton for 20 cents a kilometre. Will seriously look at all other options before using u haul again.

Need this location for rentals Friendly staff Trucks not serviced much so this is an ask for uhaul to occasionally send a mechanic to fix issues like broken coffee cup holders and alerts like gas cap not on etc I can never put my coffee away safely on two trucks which I keep getting Thanks

I would have given five stars if the monthly storage fee wasn't so expensive. For the smallest storage space you're looking at nearly $100 a month and the elevator is sooooo slow. They could make logging in easier with an electronic device tapping system instead of having to remember a password that has random numbers you don't get to choose yourself.

I called the Kelowna office to book a vehicle on Sunday, Feb 25th, 2024. It rang and rang and rang many times. It then went to a fax machine, blasting through the phone. I then called again and someone picked up. I asked about booking a 10' truck for Monday. I was rudely told that they had no trucks and then when I replied that I was booking for Monday, I realized that they had already hung up. I was upset, but then I called West Kelowna and received a much nicer individual who helped me book a truck for Monday to my satisfaction. I understand staff get busy, but I was bothered by the rudeness. I can handle it, but I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Also, I have booked many times through Uhaul and been pleased with your service, but this is the first time to my knowledge that I have been asked to fill out a survey, which I'm happy to do. The staff at West Kelowna and the gentleman I booked storage through in Kelowna both deserve to be appreciated. Merci.

This winter was a very difficult one my storage locker got flooded.i did not really see how much damage there was until further inspection.its close to a 30 % loss.in any event mother natures fault.not uhauls fault.uhaul on enterprise were extremely professional they contacted me within minutes of this happening.they are very great people the management at enterprise uhaul are first class thankyou folks.you are the very best.please don't forget it.always.mr.ty.watts.kelowna British columbia.

The unit it self was awesome.The hallways inside the building were rough and bumpy making it difficult to transport items in and out without falling off the carts.The alarm system screamed every ten minutes every time we were in .Very annoying when trying sort out items.

It was great, the directions were clear, the only criticism would be that I didn't realize each unit was alarmed and the reasoning behind the access code. When door opened I thought I didn't need to use it and promptly set off the alarm. Otherwise, it was great.

The uhaul brand locks force sold to renters are junk. The arbor only moves with the key; 1 out of 12 times turning said key, if you're lucky. The anti-homeless alarm goes off every 5 minutes which is particularly difficult for ny autistic son to deal with while we worked . The thing might keep 2 people a year from living in there, and drives EVERY SINGLE customer nuts. The thing doesn't even need to go off during business hours. The elevator is the most latently acting unit I've ever seen. The doors close after 2 seconds while you struggle to race your carts inside.. which is amazing because they take 4 seconds to open again All this, after a year and a half of dealing with what was sold to me as a 10x20 drive up unit .. and turned out to be 2 - 10x10 units accessible only by elevator. When you exit the "drive up" area, you have to do half-lap around what was once a Semi Truck factory thru various other compound before driving past the door you entered at. Don't get me started on UHauls practice of insuring all vehicles out of Arizona.

besides renting a truck back in July 23 and being charged over $500 for a half day rental of a 15 ft truck to switching storage unit from 15 ft to 10 ft it was a hassle as the staff at the Kelowna outlet are very inept. Too bad that uhaul kind of has a monopoly on rentals in Canada because if they didn't i gladly would go elsewhere

I have back and forth with the UHaul in Kelowna on Enterprise. They have been more than helpful. I have rented big trucks and 1/2 ton pick ups and they have always been very helpful. When I needed storage I was able to get a month free and then I downsized within a couple of months into a smaller unit and it was about 10' from my original, so I have a smile on my face.

Please allow me to explain... not all staff were unfriendly or unhelpful but majority of the interactions I had with staff ended in me being more upset. I had told this specific uhaul that I needed my payment dates moved to the 20th of every month,yet they still drew money out on a day they weren't supposed to resulting in nsf fees and late charges. Access to the unit was a pain too. They put locks on my storage even after arrangements had been made and partial payments were approved... not to mention my access code didnt work and the alarm went off every 30 seconds... so good on them for having alarms, but figure it out. When I called they said I just had to "ignore it". Uhaul in general has helped me out in the past , but i almost always get the run around no matter what uhaul I go to. I feel as though all staff need more training, and hours should be more accessible to people that work until 6 pm or later. The units should be accessible until 11 pm especially when there are access codes given..

Only complaint is once moved to the smaller unit in the other building #4157 the door slide does not align and could take up to 30 minutes to lock. Other clients are helping each other so I was not the only one having trouble trying to lock and leave. Staff was always excellent to deal with. Merci

The facility was clean and the instructions provided were clear. Both staff members I engaged with were helpful and the online reservation system was easy and convenient to use. However, the descriptions of unit sizes could be improved to clarify what each units capacity is. I appreciated the available description, but it wasnt enough to make an informed decision about what size unit I needed. I liked that there were example unit sizes in the store and wonder if something similar could be provided online for self-serve customers. I wasn't given instructions on where my storage unit was located or how to use the security pad (or where that was located, even after saying I was a first time customer). I set off the alarm when accessing my unit because of this oversight and it was scary and embarrassing. I had to take the initiative to ask for help on how to find the unit and using the access code. Perhaps there could be instructions for the code beside the security panel and a sign highlighting it for first time users

Front staff seemed very confused and ended up making new reservations instead of using the ones I created online. And the truck rental was a joke - the sheet had the wrong mileage by 15 miles, wrong gas gauge (47 miles remaining on the tank), and I still haven't received my deposit back for the furniture dollies that I rented.

I left my review on Google. If you actually care, you can go read it. But Cale is a crappy manager, the place is ghetto, the lighting is crap, the elevator is gross, and there was rat poop all in my unit that does not have a spec of food in it. Only items that I couldn't fit in my smaller place while living here. There are rat traps everywhere and yet all of our family photos were destroyed. No one cares. I will tell everyone I know to never rent at this location!

The staff was friendly and willing to honour an employee's statement about a storage issue, where I would get a refund. However, my only concerns are the fact that they charge by the month and not the week. So apparently, if you have a week over your stay, you have to pay for a month's worth of storage. It's not convenient. Not sure if this was due to the Kelowna fires or not, but the storage is closed when the office is closed, even though they are in two very different buildings.

We reserved a storage unit 3 months in advance, but when we got there we were told that they didn't have that size available. What's the point of having reservations if nothing gets reserved? They finally found one for us and it was clean and worked well. The building is great other than the extremely loud alarms that go off constantly.

I will not use this storage locker or come to this facility again. It is a circus. The building numbers do not correspond with the locker numbers and directions on the map given when a locker is issued, making it impossible to find your locker. Employees were confused and couldn't help either. It took me an hour of driving around to different buildings. I was not the only frustrated customer. The triggers on the automatic doors in Building 3 only trigger when your vehicle approaches at the right angle. I had to backup multiple times to get it trigger. I need 24 hour access to my storage locker. This whole business isn't working for me.

I took a sm. 5x5 storage August 1. Then August 14 I wanted to change it to a 5 x 10. The young lady look up the computer and then said It was due because I took the storage July 14, I say no, I took it Aug 1. Then I ask who's account was it? Under what name? She was looking into the wrong account and then have to change everything she did to it. ( charge an other month and the change of storage sized) I'm glad I was there in person and was persistent with my dates. Merci.

Although the staff and location is great, it would be beneficial for the storage facility itself to be opened after office hours are closed. The other MUST ASK: the ventilation system does not work very well in the storage area. It gets very warm and with warm air being forced out, is there something to be done? Although I did get a Ubox. The Ubox that is where I thought it was suppose to be in bay 5/6 but didn't realize I needed to go to another area in the drive thru. There is a box that is empty but was not allowed to use the empty one sitting there. Thank you to the staff which was more then happy to make other accommodations for the time being.

Not sure how people don't know that I'm 15 foot truck. Putting into a storage is gonna need more than a 5 by 10. So that wasted like, 45 minutes. Doing all the paperwork going to look at it and going. That is a little closet compared to a giant wardrobe. You have to put into a tiny space. Which I know gonna make me sound old. But back in my day, LOL people knew measurements and. Math, and these days, they just don't conceive. What 5 feet is 5 inches, 5 cm? Whatever it is, it's only logical. If some things are just pure plain logic which you can't teach unless you grow up with logical parents and teachers. I suppose so it's not necessarily these young millennials fault millennials millennials. Fault, but it could be default with the world. Anyhow, just something to consider about measurements and teaching people plain math, which we used to be able to do in our heads. Now everyone uses a calculator and they still don't understand how to count change back. That's my rant and i'm sticking to it

When I was moving my stuff out of my storage unit, there was 1 staff member in particular who seemed to go out of his way to see if we needed anything. He was extremely helpful, above the normal, and he himself made moving out a much better experience, and put the company in an even better light. I did not catch his name, but he was a young white man with short brown hair, who was walking around sweeping for most of the time we were there, but went out of his way to make sure we were doing alright, and helped us when we asked.

I am very disappointed in Uhaul and have lost trust in the reservation system and in the organization. I reserved a storage room 2 weeks in advance and received confirmation of availability. When i arrived i was charged a higher rate. I questioned that at the time of moving in and subsequently with the General Manager and got three different and contradictory responses at different times 1. Rates have gone up since I reserved. 2 I reserved a 2nd floor unit (but my reservation clearly states 1st floor, and the second floor rate was also more than my reservation 3. Units are 1st come 1st serve. So Uhaul's reservation system is not reliable for either rates or availability, and the management, at the Enterprise Road Kelowna location at least do not deal with integrity. Beware.

Many times we went to our storage unit the main door to leave the building was not working. This made it very difficult with traffic congestion. Also, the one time I really needed to use the washroom while I was there I entered, both washrooms to find them extremely filthy. So filthy that I waited until I got home.

The washroom is the only blip I would say is the washroom is rarely clean there's never toilet paper. There's never a paper towel and there's never soap other than that. It's actually a good facility .

I would like to thank the manager for being on top of my top of my rental of a truck I rented and rectified it in a very timely manor. I really enjoy renting with Uhaul I have for many years now. I would recommend anyone to them. One thing jus pay attention carefully when renting vehicles from them that u understand completely whst costs may be. The staff on Enterprise are exceptionally friendly buildings and units are always very clean and bright . I also love the new locks they encourage you to buy…. I would like to see them open a Cpl hrs later as if u work all day it's a rush to be in n out by 7. Otherwise excellent business to rent from .. Ty for all the helpful services.

This facility is probably one of the poorest run units in BC. The front end staff are never around and never available to address your concerns. THey need more dollies and something is always broken, especially the big entrance doors. This last time they dumped someone's contents of an unpaid unit right beside the entrance parkade into the building storage access. I'm still waiting to get my credit back for the rest of the month, as we moved out earlier than expected. The kids on staff didn't know how to handle that. We spent thousands of dollars on storage and we had to argue to get our small credit back. Our last rental of a 10 foot van was even more pathetic with these kids, but that was another whole different contract. They need some proper staffing......for sure.

I spoke with the CSR team multiple occasions regarding my unit always setting off the alarm when I opened the latch to my unit. I was put on hold several times to no eventual pick up and was forced to drive to the location to address other issues. I asked for communication with Cale a few times, once again to no avail. The location and services offered and the face to face the team is great but disregarding customer concerns and not relaying those or following up on those concerns I.e. addressing the above mentioned alarm issue, unacceptable.

I rented the unit for one month and I was locked out twice with another lock due to "non payment" even though I paid in full. Also I am currently trying to deal with the fact that even though I moved all of my stuff out and made it very clear I was doing so to the people in the office I now still have to pay for another month on an empty unit according to the texts I am receiving . 1/10 will not be recommending this facility to anyone looking for storage

As a first time storage customer I found the initial experience confusing without much support from the staff. I would have appreciated a tour and introduction to how to access and use the facility. Day one we spent a full hour bouncing from one supposedly empty unit to another until they found one. The front reception and phones are horribly under staffed so one can expect long wait times and even non responsive on the phones. As for cleanliness and security it was all good.

I have a storage locker that I rent from you guys me and my girlfriend were there I was sitting in the car and she was in the washroom and the staff I guess called and called the cops and they come and arrested me put me in handcuffs in the back of the car for like half an hour until they figured out that I did did have a membership there so I would like that rectified

I booked this facility because of the advertised 5am to 10pm access hours. That is blatantly false advertising. Access is only 7am to 7pm, same as office hours. On top of that, the loading bay (which is fabulous having a covered loading and unloading area) has a broken door at one end, so I had to do a 20 point turn around with my uhaul truck and trailer to get back out of the building!

My unit flooded while I was out of town and it's impossible to get in contact with the manager to deal with it. I was told only my mattress was damaged, and when I returned I found many things missing from my storage unit including a bed frame, a desk, shelving units, and more. The manager Cale never sent me updated that he said he would send me and it's not been 3 months I've been trying to deal with this with no help from any Uhaul employees. I didn't receive any compensation, nor any free months for the inconvenience.

Good customer service. Your alarm system doesn't take into account how stupid some people are (occasionally myself included) and when the alarm goes off every 15 minutes it doesn't seem like an effective deterrent does it? You need to find a way to allow 24 hour access, that was the biggest inconvenience. People keep wrecking your bay doors because you can't expect someone who daily drives a Honda to grasp the height difference of a cargo van, for all the warnings you have in place to protect the doors nothing seems to work long term. I've worked in shops before and the solution for door dings was to invest in the door motor that opened the door as fast as possible. People are impatient. Just my two cents.

The doors worked only half the time ...bring back card swipe just was no good...could not get too my stuff 5 times in mounth as parking lot fully blocked with u haul truck garbage building cheers plow it down please put something worthy of people's money that they're spending ridiculous that you only have two days for cars and they're always blocked with all the U-Haul trucks lined up that are being brought back your door buttons are falling off it doesn't have automatic sensors when you're ready to go out you have to get out and push the button and then it closes before you even get your truck going ridiculous the alarm is ridiculous you punch it in it says you're good to go and then it goes off bring back your card swipe not just the PIN there's there's only three carts available inside most of time one person takes all three so the whole facility is good for one person at a time it's a thing ridiculous in a city that has over 200 000 coming in and out should plow this dump down and make it a little bit more like the West Kelowna U-Haul

Staff were always helpfull, rules of use or contract for access was clear and I had no problems entering or exiting , coded entry at first seemed like a pain, but as I learned to use it I did appreciate it as I knew was just extra security for my stored items. Location: 2076 Enterprise Way, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6H7 An alarm was ringing throughout the building from the first day I was given a tour of the available units, during every single visit, and when I was driving away after closing out my account. The alarm system was so incompetent, I would never recommend this location, or use it again myself. What kind of security system are your customers paying for? A useless alarm system that went over a year without being fixed. During the handful of times I visited the Kelowna Uhaul Storage, the loading bay doors almost always had a problem, ie: being permanently open and unable to close. Again no security. If these problems were temporary, that would be one thing. When the problem is ongoing for years, it's intentional. I'm glad everyone has a phone with video these days, maybe the security incompetence at Uhaul Kelowna will be addressed because of social media. Or most likely when there is a major incident that ends up on the News. Other than the constant alarm ringing and complete lack of security, it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and professional, the facility was clean, and the hours were great.

The problem I had was having my rate raised twice. You can say it's only 5 each time, but by the time you add on the tax, it proved to be much more. And why raise it at all. I wasn't getting anything more for my money. I left the last storage company because they kept doing the same thing. I found uhaul provided everything you need for moving. A one stop shop, very convenient and affordable, plus having a space to leave used boxes and pick up used boxes is such a good idea. Have not found anyone else that is doing that and it recycles boxes

This facility is outstanding. Well maintained, convenience of the carts and washroom in loading area. Storage area extremely clean and well maintained. Honestly, this must be like the 5 star hotel of storage facilities (and I can compare to many others I have used over the years). The only thing I would change is make it a little easier to figure out where to drive to get into the storage units. Have some type of signs with arrows or something so we know where to go. It is a little confusing. But besides that, the staff where awesome, very polite and professional and the prices are really good compared to other places in Kelowna. I would totally recommend UHaul. 

The only reason why I am using this services in spite of its drawbacks is its proximity to where I live. First problem, the guy Peter who signed me up, charged me for a lock without asking me. I had U-haul storage at West Kelowna location last year and I had purchased a lock already. So, I directly saw the charges on the bill. Not good! Secondly, I reached the facility around 6 30 pm and the very first thing they tell me is a heads up that they are closing in 30 minutes. OKAY! Wow..... no Hi, no Hello, no welcome to U haul etc. Just concerned about what time it says on the clock. And its not even that I came in around the last 10 minutes of their working hours when they give me a heads up. We had a good 30 minutes to get the paper work done etc. Now the guy who signed me up was interested in closing the shop and running home so he didn't care to show me to my storage unit. He gave me a map and then I was on my own in a huge labyrinth. At west kelowna location, they were way more courteous and professional. The lady walked me to the storage, showed me how to operate it and gave me some tips on locking it correctly etc.

I had a positive, short term experience in this facility. However, from day one my password on the key card said access denied...which I mentioned to the staff. No one came to "lock me up" so to speak when the alarm went off...so eventually I ignored it. Other than that...the only issue was not being able to do autopay with my debit...so I had to wait in long lines most times to pay monthly. I'm sure it would make it much easier on the staff if you accepted debit autopay. Over all...a positive experience though.

This particular facility had overcharged me for months as they would not allow me to gain access into my unit. U-Haul owes me 6 months worth rent due to this. When we tried reaching out to the manager, he would never come out of the office or call back. When I finally removed my belongings, I was sent another bill, didn't pay it, so was charged late fees for an empty unit. Also, no one ever seemed to know what was going and could not give me any answers. Again, when they tried to reach the manager, he was no where to be found or would not come out to talk to me. I stood many times for what seemed liked hours waiting with no answers.

The guy at the counter was friendly and answered my question the guy that sat in the truck that told me I had 30 minutes to move my stuff in after Uhaul had changed my time of pick up on the truck from 9:30 to 1:30 was a typical millennial. To him anything uhaul could do that was awful was "not my problem" I hate dealing to uhaul I had to rush and damage my furniture and walk away from items that wouldn't fit.

When we arrived there were 11 people in front of us waiting to be served and only 2 people behind the counter. A third person showed up shortly thereafter which did speed things up. We dealt with Vaughn who we cannot say enough good things about. In addition to apologizing to us for the wait he was very cheerful, very thorough as he walked us through the whole process and worked hard to get us on our way as soon as possible. Overall, we were extremely happy with the service we received and the registering for storage process as a whole.

I will never use uhaul again. I was told my storage unit would be prorated since I didn't need the full month and that was not honoured. The staff do not know enough about their job. They do not answer the intercom or the phone so you have to go all the way back to get them to help you with THEIR mess up. And one of the bay doors is always broken. HORRIBLE

There were transient people in the storage area several times which made me feel less secure leaving my stuff in the loading area betweeen loads. It's often hot in the loading area and the a/c doesn't seem to be working/a priority for them, they close the gates on the exit early so we've had to back out of the loading are with a trailer, quite often only one door is working in the loading area, quite often the bathrooms are out of supplies.

My only comment is I was told the units I reserved were on the bottom floor and when we showed up the units they gave us were on the second floor. Not an issue normally but we were moving very heavy gym equipment and I was very specific. It was disappointing to say the least.

Even though we had made a reservation and confirm it, when we arrived, we were told that the storage that we had asked for was not available. They gave an alternative storage of same size but charged us more than what had in our reservation. No one was available to handle the issue and we ended up paying a higher price for 5 months.

Most staff is helpful. An acting manager named lalit was terrible. Major confusion with my unit as uhaul apparently does not have an efficient means of tracking customer storage unit. While dealing with the situation with a helpful employee named jack, lalit the supervisor came over and threatened to evict me because I was there after hours trying to get access to my unit (accompanied by one of your employees). Overall using uhaul has been an awful experience and seeing the supervisor of that branch act in appropriately in a stressful situation is the final straw for me, my partner and all of our friends in Kelowna.

Worst experience ever with any service. I also rented a truck which was a similar experience. -there wasnt a time I went to access my unit when there wasnt sone issue requiring me to see the front desk starting with check in when they rented me a unit that was already occupied. -twice I attended my unit and found a circular lock on my unit. It wasnt until the 2nd time this happened that I was told they required this terrible lock -i enrolled for autopay when I checked in but was never billed for the first month and I incurred a late charge. I then went online and set it up (again) but then continued to get delinquent notices in the mail -staff ranged from indifferent to quite helpful but in general I got the sense there were not enough staff to deliver much of a smooth experience -lastly your app is not great and doesnt seem to talk to the local sales system -I will never if given a choice deal with Uhaul again

I usually don't take the time to write these but thought this was important for you to recognize some issues that your company has. My original truck was cancelled at this location and I was told that the next similar truck was about 1,5-2 hours away. I went in to try to find an alternative and the East Indian guy working at the front desk was very rude to me, kept talking over me and at one point told me to be quiet and call "that" number, even though a number had not been provided. He didn't try to help me one bit. I asked him what the point of making a reservation was and he simply said that it wasn't guaranteed. So I said, you mean to tell me that the company makes a hundred reservations and only fills like 10 of them and he replied, "yes"! I asked again for clarification to make sure that I was hearing him correctly and that he understood what I was asking. Same response. As I was in the phone, on hold, with a number that he finally provided me, his co-worker came up and asked if I needed any help. I told her my issue and she provided me with an alternative to get a smaller truck but take multiple trips. Although not the ideal situation, it was a far better than not having any truck or solution to the problem. She was also there the day that we picked up the truck and was very helpful once again. Needless to say my experience was not what it could have been if I hadn't of been treated with such disrespect and rudeness. You're very lucky to have someone like the girl that smoothed things over otherwise our experience could have been a whole lot worse.

The automatic lighting goes off too quickly and the elevator needs to be adjusted to the floor height. It's the worst part about moving is banging around an uneven elevator and losing and breaking things that fell off the carts.

I answered yes to #6, but I have to add that I would only recommend Uhaul storage if some major changes were made: 1. I know staff shortage is a major issue for a lot of companies right now but if there were more people working in the office it would really help with the congestion and the long wait times 2. Because uhaul isn't just a storage facility and it's main focus are renting out trucks it's causing a lot of problems meeting customer needs 3. Customers should not be able to book storage units online without at least having a staff member physically check that the unit is indeed available and empty! I paid for a unit on the ground floor and when I went there someone's lock was on my unit which was under my name and judging by the size of the door there's no way it was a 10x10. I tried to call the office using the intercom located nearby and no one answered which made me have to drive all the way back around to the office and wait in line and the time I could speak to someone and have the problem figured out I lost significant time that I needed to move out of another unit at a different facility making me and the person who had graciously offered to help rush, if I had hired movers this would have wasted their time and mine and costed me money 4. This caused a lot of frustration, especially because when I'd first come in to pay for the unit I requested to see it for myself which the employee didn't agree to do, but if they had this problem could have been prevented. Staff should be taking customers on a quick tour of the facility to show them how everything works and be able to see their unit to make sure it's available and empty and I know this is protocol because I witnessed one of your employees doing this with another customer 5. The broken garage EXIT door. Is a real safety hazard, because the only way to get in and out of the loading garage is through one door while the other one is unusable because a serious safety issue and I'm aware this isn't Uhauls fault, I was told a customer had run a truck or their vehicle into the door and was told that this happens a lot, so if that's the case then a better system needs to be put in place or there needs to be a staff member there monitoring customers moving in and out or leave the doors open during moving hours 6. Poor security system, I can't tell you how many times I was startled to death because the alarm was triggered every single time I was up in my unit working! I assume because people forget to put in their code the first time the enter and before they're about to leave. It's terribly annoying and upsetting, that alarm is not quiet! At my previous storage you had to put your code in only when you wanted to move the elevator UP to another floor or if you wanted to access the bathroom but that's it. If you entered your code in wrong the elevator simply wouldn't go anywhere, it never triggered the alarm. 6. Clearly the locks that you must purchase were never intended for the mechanism on the door because it's extremely difficult to put it on there and take it off, it should be a-lot easier, making it this hard creates more issues since people sometimes need to force it making it easier to damage or break and then no one can use the unit at all! 6. There's no manager on site. Your staff are doing the best they can but they are overworked, overwhelmed and lack training and experience which means they need a supervisor to handle any issues that arise Anyways I'm sorry if it sounds that I have nothing good to say, I'm quite happy with the price, the trolleys are very smooth and easy to maneuver and although I now don't have a ground level unit anymore and have not been issued a refund for my lock and one day this mishap costed me where I couldn't use my unit, like I was promised I do like the indoor loading zone and Uhauls general set up and I think it's possible for Uhaul to be so much better, I've been a customer for many many years, rented many moving trucks and I'd love to actually see them thrive and even consider helping them implement it.

The young gentleman who helped me was wonderful. Explained everything and didn't rush thru but very timely. Much appreciated. My only concern is he was limping badly as he hurt from an accident boarding to work, a car ran him off the road and he crashed into a tree. Management should have sent him to the Dr's or hospital to make sure all is okay. He smiled and only told me because I asked if he was ok from the noticeable limp.

The GM at this store seems to really not do his job very well. I rarely leave bad reviews but this is just unacceptable. I had to let them know multiple times that my unit is no longer being occupied by anyone. One time I came in, I said I no longer will be occupying my unit by the 23rd, and all I got was a knod and "we gotcha" he barely did anything on the computer. I trusted them but nobody did anything. I kept getting notifications about my rent being overdue. But finally after I contacted uhaul themselves, it finally says I've "left" my unit. The space was great, access was great but the GM and the guys working there needs to be questioned about their performance. Merci.

I pre-ordered a storage unit. Showed up today after booking for it to see nothing was actually set up. Gave us a number for one and then went to it to see someone else has already taken it. Drove back and told them all the ones that were available and they said they don't exist in our system. I asked the guy to come with us he just sat there did and said nothing. he proceeded to tell me I have to take a bigger unit and pay for it because they don't have anything else. He said this is company police. A few hours later I get an email saying thank for renting a unit and it's the wrong number unit. So I will be calling shortly to get that fixed. Customer service is really bad but that seems to be the trend now which is an absolute disgrace and I am sorry it's because of Covid is not a valid excuse for business.

The hours are horrific and impossible - 7pm closing on moving day is ridiculous and for any day for that mater. As a 9-5 worker i would almost never be able to have time to eat after work then access the facility. There are plenty of storage facilities that allow access way later or 24 hours and i would recommend them instead of one with such ridiculous hours

Representative did not tell us we only had 30 minutes to move into the unit. When we found out after we paid the $25 upgrade fee to a bigger unit, we asked to keep the smaller unit and come back another day to make the move when there was ample time. He said he was unable to reverse it and he would give us until Tuesday. We tried to rush to get the first load to the new unit until we got to it and it reeked of beer and mold and was all wet. We asked once again to keep the smaller unit as this one was unfit. He then reversed the new unit but did not return the $25 fee which I was charged 3 times for on my statement.

The paper I was given, along with my online account both said that the access was until 10pm. We arrived at 10 min to 7 one night and were told you close at 7. I would suggest that you cross off the times on the paper people are given as well as have the times changed on the online accounts. Our things were in the back of our truck and trailer in the pissing rain all night and lots of things were ruined. Also I was told I had to buy one of your locks, which was fine, but you did not have any new ones so I paid for a used one. When I put the lock on with no problem however when attempting to open it the next day, it would not work. I was told that I had to hire and pay a locksmith out of my own pocket to gain access to my locker because the locker I bought from you did not work. Once I had the lock removed I went to go buy a new lock from Home Depot in the style that I was told was mandatory. When I came back to put it on, my locker was open and contents moved. I understand that I should have locked it however I had a hard time finding the type of lock. When we came back our locker was wide open. I was also not able to get my money back from the broken lock that was sold to me. I really have no time or energy to continue discussing this as it is a very stressful time. These are my mother's belongings and she is dying so I just needed to get her things in a unit.

#2491 has a ware leak. Many of my boxes were damaged. I moved to a bigger storage. Was given 2504 but it had stuff in it so was given 2176. Wasn't nice to have all those complications.

We moved to a new storage center due to the constant blocking of access to our unit by trucks and trailers that had been returned by customers and not moved. Snow clearing of walkways and stairs was poor at best. Staff does not acknowledge customers standing in front of them and are generally disgruntled and not happy to assist. This facility has a long way to go in terms of customer service.

When I moved into my storage unit the rental agent was unable to pull up my reservation despite the fact that he was reading the reservation number off an email from uhaul on my phone. Only solution was to rent me a bigger unit than I reserved and I had to pay the extra monthly fees for it. Also they made me buy a lock from them simply because they didn't like the one I had and said I couldn't use it on their locker. A couple of weeks into the rental I then got an email informing me that my monthly fees would be going up an additional $10 per month. To top it all off they don't list a phone number for the actual Kelowna location anywhere on their website so if you want to talk to someone at the office you literally have to drive all the way down there and do it in person. This place is a joke. Glad to have it out of my life!

Thank you so much. The lockers were exactly what I needed and it was very helpful to have a dry load/unload bay. Only issue is the elevator does not stop properly to match the floor height. Another customer had a large picture tip because of the unevenness and the glass shattered. It should be a simple fix.

1) Staff put an extra lock in my storage unit even when the monthly rent was being withdrawn from my credit card every month 2) The excuse was that I did not have a proper lock in my unit, although the lock we used was a uHaul branded and recommended lock 3) When I complained about this I was informed that they had left a telephone message advising me to change the lock to a round style lock to get in line with security guidelines 4) When we rented the unit those locks were out of stock and on the recommendation of the staff at the time we used an alternative uHaul lock 5) I was unable to change the lock even if I wanted to because I was in Calgary at the time of the message and I would not have spent $550 for a trip to Kelowna just to change the lock. 6) I had a very poor experience with your staff this time not only because of this, but because uHaul had messed up my trailer reservation for Monday, September 27 and given me notice just a day before that my trailer was a 4X8 instead of the 5X8 I had reserved in August. Your staff was not very helpful in trying to redress this poor planning on the part of uHaul blaming the central scheduling unit of uHaul for this poor treatment

I will avoid using Uhual even again. Worst company I've ever dealt with. To clarify, staff were friendly and tried to help within their limited means. I was rented a vehicle storage stall that wasn't even available as it was covered in construction debris. I walked around and around trying to find my spot, not a single person available to help me. Finally another customer helped me out. I did finally find a staff member to help me but he was reluctant to do so (but still friendly once we started walking and talking). Got my stall switched to one that was actually available. Then I needed to refund a storage lock I had just purchased as it wasn't required. Not sure why I wasn't told that when I was purchasing it. The same staff member tried to refund the lock but did not have the authority to do so. Asked manager to come and help but manager refused to do so. Told staff to have me leave the lock and it would get refunded - it never did. I called the call centre numerous times. They tried to help and emailed Uhual asking Uhaul to call me. No one ever contacted me. Worst experience ever. I will never recommend this company for vehicle storage. The hours I wasted trying to just get some help are astonishing.

Booked the storage online 2 weeks in advance. Showed up at the facility at 6:45pm with my load of belongings. I was informed that Uhaul in Canada doesn't accept the online bookings. It was confirmed, so what is that all about? Not good. Thankfully, there was a space available. However! I was told I couldn't unload because they were closing in 15 mins, although it's secure with a code etc. There I am with a rented trailer that had to be back that night, my hired help and a storage space I couldn't access. So although the space was acceptable, the service I received was terrible. Some staff friendly, others not.

We took our boat out of storage in June. We waited in line to let the staff know and were told "the billing system is down" but assured our account would be closed. We were charged for storage again in July. We went in and spoke to a "manager" who apologized and told us it would be rectified that day. We were charged again in August. Again, we went in and met a different manager who apologized, told us there was a lot of staff turnover but assured us we would receive a refund that day. We were charged again in September. We went into the location yesterday and met with Cale - he handled the situation on the spot, provided us with receipts for the refund of the overcharged amounts. Cale was the first, and only, employee who was professional and dealt with the situation. Thanks very much to Cale.

The facility is lovely. Everything is brand new and has plenty of space. A complaint I have is that every time I used the bathroom, it was always dirty with garbage overflow, dirty floors and toilet & the sink always had gross stuff in it. Also only having 1 bathroom for a facility that size is ludicrous!! At the very least there should be a washroom on every floor. The times I'd gone to my unit there was a young woman pushing a cleaning cart, yet I seen her spending more time texting and talking on her phone then pushing a broom. Regarding access to the facility, it should be a 24 hour availability. There's already security in place so why not have 24 hour accessibility. However I've had interactions with the manager who is extremely nice and accommodating. The rest of the staff were fairly helpful, yet you can tell they don't really care about the job.

Online, U Haul central and local counter systems are not coordinated well enough for efficient service. Several simple misunderstandings with the locker, length of rental, hours open, no direct line to contact the upcoming rental lication makes the process total chaos and costly foe UHaul and the the customers. They only care about signing you up and making money, but when you need help or are done using a service they throw you aside and leech as much as they can from you. Worst storage experience of my life. First reservation was lost and then made into a completely different than what I asked for the second time. Third reservation was given away after I had checked in. The hours on website says access till 10 and they kicked me out before 7 and told me "they kick people out at 7." Unreal.

Access hours are unreasonable. Elavator in bad need of programming, doesnt stay open long enough. And is not set properly Level on second floor. I would think Hydrolic leak which is not properly fixed. Alarm's are not programmed properly. ( I go and open my locker, Close it and open again and Alarm goes off. Not Very Good at all. Alarms Go off all the time making it redudant, and useless. Nobody cares about alarms. They should be turned on only at night-time and a Security Officer should come not staff. Air Conditioning was not on at the srcond level making it unbearable this last week. And some of my antique Collection was littered with debris from maintenece cutting holes in the ceilling from leakage repairs. I have photo's to prove. The manager was very helpfull though. Considering Lack of help during the end of the month times. Very busy here in Kelowna. I hope these comments will help rectify some of these issues. Thx Hans Horn.

Lengthy line up due to only one staff member "present" at the desks, entry drive in door for loading was inoperable due to circumstances - which is fine - however this was not explained while at the desk - had to find alternate route on my own which ate up quite a bit of time. On day two of move in the elevator was down - which again is fine - however there is only one set of stairs that lead to the upstairs...??? No secondary elevator?? No second set of stairs? No estimate on when the repairs were going to be performed or completed. Furthermore, lots of individuals disregarding face masks - no staff to enforce mandatory mask guidelines. Lastly, they've so far charged me for my pre-authorized amount for my van rental, however, I used significantly less kilometers than I had estimated. No final breakdown of the final bill was emailed to me. Staff was friendly enough, but this facility is lacking some fundamentals in some significant areas as outlined.

Renting a truck is easy and convenient but storage with uhaul is not. It's overpriced, the access hours are inaccurate, the elevator and bathroom were gross, and they double charged my boyfriends credit card for his storage unit and then locked him out of it anyways(for apparently not paying). It took an hour to get someone to come down to unlock it while we were trying to move. Staff were friendly but they're clearly understaffed. Every single time we've gone to get something from our units in the 3 months we rented for, either the gate was locked early or the floors were being polished so we were denied access to our specific units. I don't know why they need to polish the floors so often but don't clean the elevator or bathroom. We pay close to $200 EACH for our units and to be locked out 2 hours early after driving half an hour to our belongings is disappointing and frustrating. We can't even call to see if we would have access because it takes an hour long hold to reach someone at the store. Access clearly says online 5am to 10pm but gate was locked at 8pm, sometimes even 7pm. Truly disappointing 3 months.

Guy at the counter clearly didn't want to be there. A young guy said he hurt his back and the manager decided to ignore the line up for a half hour while he filled out an incident report. Instead of just telling the younger man to sit and wait for hit while he saw to a couple of the customers he decided to make the customers sit and wait instead, at least one of who left. I would've too except the storage closed at 5 and it was nearly that so I don't have a choice. He didn't seem happy any of us were there.

After Andrew left the Kelowna Enterprise way location everything went down hill and fast. A middle aged bald man who does hitch installs seemed to run the show. He was late rude and just started taking things way. Like my access remote which i PAY FOR MONTHLY. He just walked up one morning a demanded it. No explanation. Just an absolute jerk. His hygiene was poor and he RARELY WAS SEEN WITH A MASK ON. You could see his facial herpes as he demanded my access remote control. I frequently saw him sneaking cigarette breaks everytime he would issue a trailer rental. Just and awful man. He was short with my fiancée. We were very loyal customers. Were is the key word and we and encouraging everyone to move out of uhaul before they are abused too. The younger staff were quite accommodating and helpful. They deserve good treatment and praise. But the man needs to go. Bring back Andrew. He was fantastic

I inquired and told I would get a free month because I wanted to stay with uhaul and move my belongings to port moody location. Port moody would not honor it and your location would not give me the free month instead. It was noted on my file and still no employee would honor it. I was told it was for a free truck rental and not the unit. I however know this to false as I have also had a conversation with them at the call center. A representative was supposed to.call me last week and did not. I was mislead and lied to about the free month. I decided to just move my stuff to a different company's storage. I feel I should get my free month reimbursed. Second on a more serious note. I have informed health canada about your employees disregard of the mandated mask rules. First time I entered, I stood in line for 5 minutes or so. 3 gentlemen had no mask on, an employee in a red shirt, just had his mouth covered and was talking to another person on the other side of the glass, that seemed like an employee off duty doing some inquiring of his own with his mask off. I politely mentioned the masks, they all gave me an excuses of different reasons then put them on. I mentioned it was mandated and they agreed to that statement and apologized. Not acceptable from a national company. I cleaned out my locker and entered again to inform them and one of the same guys had his mask off again. I am sure corporate will find this highly unacceptable. Please discuss and set mandated orders at your facility. This letter is meant to not only state my grievance, but also to serve a a respectable reminder to please ask and demand your employees follow mandated health guidelines. We had issues with this facility from the beginning. One member of the staff initially refused to honor the one free month with a truck rental because we were renting two units after renting two trucks. He finally relented. After a poor review the manager contacted us and offered us a free month to make up for the hassles. New management came in and we had to fight again for that free month. We were told the new manager would call us. Two days went by and no call. Called again and were told manager would call us. No call ever came so we had to go in to the facility to make sure the free month was actually in place. When we moved out the young man behind the desk looked like he wanted to be anywhere but where he was and he had his earphones in and was tuning into his phone/music before he finished the transaction (receipt was printing). No one said "thanks for being a customer/using our services" or "we appreciate your business." I would never recommend this facilty to anyone. Go to Rutland - 1606 Findlay Road - where the staff are friendly, helpful and make you feel good about using the services. We rented our last truck from them and are so glad we did.

Dealing with uhaul has been incredibly frustrating. Each time we went or called it was a disaster and stressful. Or we were hung up on, or in the lobby with no staff in the building. Our movers ended up having to haul all our belongings from the storage down the stairs yesterday because the floors were being waxed. Do that on off hours. How ridiculous. It cost us hundreds mire dollars with the movers due to the stairs and no elevator.

Motor home storage was promised with electricity for trickle battery chargers. Plugs pulled out and sockets blanked off with metal plates. No warnings sent to owners. All my batteries needed removal in order to start the coach. A simple notification of change in policy would have allowed me to switch batteries OFF.

The service is terrible and slow. The units are gross and smell. There were homeless people living out of a unit by mine and it smelled horrible. The line ups are long, the staff moves at a less than urgent pace. They rented me two rooms by accident. They were out of locks to buy. Overall, a terrible storage company.

They didn't walk us through how to sign in and sign out. There's no instructions or map. It took us 30 minutes to figure out how to get in, and another 30 mins to find the unit. Should put a floor layout map on each level. And it would be nice to give each customer a small instruction booklet with photos to illustrate how the sign in/out works.

This is a hard review to write because the facility is great and offers a drive in, drop off experience that is perfect no matter what the weather. For the most part the staff are wonderful. Management is another story. We found the managers to be rude, profit motivated and difficult to deal with. When we moved in the facility was out of padlocks and asked us to use our own. We did. We checked back in a few days to see if the locks were in and they weren't. A few days later we received notice that our lock had been cut off and a UHaul lock installed on our unit. They took the time to send an email but didn't take the time to call us and let us know, instead choosing to ruin our perfectly good lock taken from our storage shed. This is just one example of the issues we had with the facility. We also had to fight to get our free month that came with renting a truck. We rented a moving truck in our former city and received a free month for that. When we rented a second truck from this location to finish up our move they absolutely did not want to give us another free month on a second unit. The manager was rude about it and very begrudgingly gave it to us. That said the staff we have dealt with in our daily interactions have been friendly and helpful.

We had a very negative experience with trying to pick up a trailer in Sparwood, the trailer malfunctioned and we couldn't bring all of our items with us. The managemebt was rude and unapologetic. When we arrived at Uhaul in Kelowna on Enterprise Way we were greeted with great customer service and support by a very understanding young man, which made up for the negative experience the day before. This is why we continue to choose Uhaul! Thank you Uhaul once again!

Staff are less thank helpful, and also beyond incompetent ... Given misinformation multiple times. Also was charged for this unit AFTER it was emptied and we closed the contract (or the staff told us it was closed). One woman there is competent, but the manager and front staff don't know what they are doing and have no people skills. When asked a question they don't know they sit and stare at you blankly until you walk away. Less than impressed and will be telling friends NOT TO EVER USE THIS LOCATION FOR ANY REASON. had the same difficulties while renting trucks from this location in the past. Staff need some sort of training and knowledge about the locations services BEFORE being put on the desk with no manager around. The male manager of this location gets beligerant and downright rude when we are attempting to clear up disputes caused by his staff's previous misinformation given to us. Negative 5 stars.

Front staff fantastic :) When I was unloading close to 8;00 pm the closing South Asian informed us that you closed at 8:00. The warning of your closure started at 7:30 then 7:40 then every 5 minutes until you closed.I understand you have hours of operation but I don't need to be on the edge of harassed.He was slowing use down with his constant interference. An education in customer interaction would be very beneficial to this staff member.

When one reserves a truck it should be a guaranteed thing you get the truck on time...not depending if someone brings it back on time. Also you should not have to go out of town to pick it up. Regarding having our stuff in storage, the experience was good, the only issue is the u-haul charging me 2 units for the whole month of December when I used them for just a few days. 1 unit I used for 1 week in December after payment and the second unit for 3 days after payment. I thought I would have a refund for the remind of the month but I didn't. I paid the units online for December's month even thou I knew that we were using just for a few days, but that's what honest people do, pay their bills, right? However, the units are sitting empty now, u-haul took the whole monthly payment and will rent the same units and will make more money! That's the only issue that I have! Merci.

At one point last fall there was a man living in the unit across from mine. I told the staff, and they did respond, but as a result my unit was ransacked by mice... I had to go through all my stuff and discard some. That's why I answered no to number 5. Other than that, I do think they keep it maintained.

Front office staff are friendly and helpful, but elusive. Not uncommon to stand in the front for 10 minutes without seeing a staff member, or to wait 20 minutes in a line to speak to one of them. On the flip side, every time I spoke to the GM (Andrew) I had a bad experience. He's a horrible little man with the wrong attitude for dealing with people, be they staff or customers. I moved my rental to Spacious Storage for the above reasons.

For two years in a row now I have been told I had storage for my boat. As I go to bring my boat in they say that my reservation confirmation was no good as the manager had just given ours places away. The fact that I got it resolved after hours of working on it myself and pushing the staff to get something done. Shows a lack of management and organizational skills. I feel that head office or corporate or whoever may have given all our spots away dealt with the customers extremely inappropriately. I believe for all the inconveniences and the sheer lack of trust your company shows. That they would give some kind of gratification or credit to the customer like myself. I am happy to be in the storage unit with my boat but by far had to work very hard to get it. The staff that was on site and Kelowna worked very hard to try and help me out. I do not know who was to blame for this but two years in a row is too much

the Manager Andrew has been awesome to work with, as the last one was a disaster, but the internal system to book and secure a spot needs work! 2 years in a row i have had nothing but frustration to get my boat in and this year im overpaying for a spot because, the system did not allow me secure the spot after i was told that I was good and even with a confirmation number i was not secure at all and I was lucky to get a spot, I told the clerk that I was ready to start paying for a spot and I was not charged and the spot was given to someone else, the system needs work, but im sure you have the right guy at the helm, andrew is great thxs

The only thing that I saw was during the mid day (when we checked in) the staff was quite busy and the check in office was sometimes left totally un attended while each of the staff was out assisting a customer! Possibly that's not an issue at other times of the day! Very good facility!

There were people living in units beside mine. My stuff was ruined and destroyed from mice because of the people living in the units beside me. When I signed up I was not asked if I wanted the protection plan. Then I was called a liar for saying that I wasn't offered the protection plan. I will be going to the papers in Vancouver Kelowna I'm going to go write the city. I believe people were going into my locker and stealing stuff because I am missing a lot of stuff. I will definitely b protesting against U-Haul.... I'm very upset and unhappy

My main concern is the difficult access to the storage parking spaces in the warehouse. Very inconvenient to have to go into the office, line up, then ask someone to open the back door. When I first rented the storage space over a year ago, I was told that they would be putting in some kind of key fob or card access system. This never happened. If it had been done, I would have probably stayed there.

There was a lot of airborne dirt/dust from the renovations in the other part of the building. I would recommend an easier way to allow tenants to access the storage area rather than having employees walk/ride down to open the garage doors.

The monthly storage was fine but I left because they are renovating the place and both of my car covers are totally ruined because they are caked on with dust and dirt... They are ruined and I need new ones. Second of all, the day I'm checking out, no one notices my wife and I and are 2 year old daughter are still in the compound getting our vehicle to leave and they locked us in. There is no one around to let us out as they closed with us still in the place! And you can't call anyone because you end up getting people in the states as they are an American company. We were locked in there for over an hour and they wouldn't believe us because they couldn't see us on camera or something... terrible experience your better on to pay for a proper storage facility as I went to save a little bit of mo way but your better off for a 24 hour storage facitily as they're hours are terrible and they don't really care about you like they should

From the start it was a bad experience. Was told one door code, tried it multiple times, didn't work! Waited for over an hour to get in to the storage unit. Was told we could go anytime and drop stuff off, wasn't true. Trying to call, is a nightmare. Get put on hold forever, then get hung up on. The workers don't seem to have a clue what you're asking or talking about, 3 or 4 people to actually understand. Oh and the constant reminders if you don't pay....3 texts, 5 emails and 3 letters sent, that's a tad extensive

Hi and please let's be clear, last fall I had the worst experience of my life with the operation in kelowna, I would need to write a book on how frustrating it was too deal with U haul. On move out I noticed quite a bit of mouse droppings in my storage unit. This was quite alarming to me as we moved from out of province and used your storage facility to keep our house contained basically. All our precious items were there and to know that mice were all inside and around our belongings, really made us very uncomfortable. Being in the food industry I am quite aware of "hantavirus" and it's effects to humans through inhalation of the droppings. We had to clean and sanitize all items that we took from the storage unit after finding the traces of mouse droppings. This took up a lot of our time. We were more than unhappy with this and when I asked your staff about it, they responded with "did you have insurance?".Unfortunately we did not purchase the optional insurance when renting the unit. We did not realize this was a problem and if I had known your facility was infested with mice, I wouldn't have done buisness there let alone bought insurance. Your staff needs to be better trained and perhaps educated on hantavirus and it's effects. To me insurance is for things like , theft, fire, floods. Not mice!! I will never use this facility again or recommend it.

My vehicle was parked in the storage facility on Oct 16/19 to Apr 14/20. The storage space couldn't have been dirtier when I picked up my van. It is the dirtiest it has ever been since owning it for the past 21 years. Everything in that facility was covered with thick construction dust. Every customer that used/using this place deserves a refund or rebate for the treatment their vehicles have suffered. The owner should be ashamed of how their customers have been treated. Absolutely disgusting!! The only thing that should be stored there is piles of dirt or gravel.

I would like to talk to anyone from head office regarding my experience this winter. Last fall I rented a 40' space for my boat to be parked in over the winter as I do every year. I was delayed by a month to move my boat in my spot as someone else was using the spot to park in even so I had already paid for the space. Every time I went to check if the unit was ready it wasn't and in turn I paid for a month of storage $326 and wasn't able to use the space. I asked the manager to let the people know that were parked in my spot that I would like them to pay for that month, he said he would look into it but he never called me back. Over the winter there was significant construction in the building and extreme amounts of dirt and dust in the building. Between my boat and my car I had just over $500000 worth of stuff in the unit which was completely covered in an inch of dirt and dust. I have a huge cleaning bill now due to the construction that was done inside the building over the winter it would have been nice to have been advised this was happening so myself and everyone else storing stuff could've made other arrangements or at least cover our possessions up to avoid this mess.
