I was planning on using this location again to complete my move but am hesitant due to my treatment and condition I found my pre reserved rental truck. I arrived a half hour before my reservation time and was told my vehicle was being cleaned and would be ready shortly. My paperwork was readied and 15 minutes before my reservation time I had yet to get the vehicle but I noticed my paperwork indicated I was being charged for 2 days now, not one. I brought this to the person whi indicated we was the manager and he said he would just look after this when I returned the next day as he would be working. I went out to the vehicle which was dirty on the exterior, the only thing cleaned was exterior mirrors and side windows had been wiped with a squeegee. When I returned to my residence to begin loading I found the interior of the box to be unswept contained some screws, the floor had some sticky substance covering approx 1/3 that my shoes would stick to, there were dirty footwear impressions on floor that did not sweep off. I had to clean the interior before I could use the truck for my rented use. I pulled out the ramp and found it to be covered in dirt that I had to sweep off before use so not to track it into my garage or into the truck box. When I picked up the truck it only had a half tank of gas. Who rents a vehicle with a half empty tank? Because I was traveling out of town, my first stop was to fill the tank before anything else. This customer service is ridiculous! When I brought this to my returning uhaul employee's attention he didn't care,just gave me excuses. It is a dirty time of the year, the ramps get dirty. Even if we clean them they just get dirty when trucks are driven. Well, this truck was not cleaned. I referenced the 'save $25' sign in truck box for returning clean, he said that sometimes people don't. I asked to have my rental discounted for fact I not only cleaned it for return, but had to when I received it. He said there are no discounts. The contract stipulates a charge for refueling the truck if not returned as rented. Why is this not from full? Returning full is easiest policy, I know when it is full, I do not easily know when it is half full when filling. This creates the need for me to go to the gas station twice, once to fill to use the rental for trip out of town, and again ro ensure I am not below a half (luckily I was still above half, but I returned it with more gas then I got it, and I get no compensation). I used this location this past summer to move to a temporary residence while my house was being completed, this rental was for my storage locker goods to my new residence, and I need another rental to complete my move upcoming. I am hesitant to use your company due to this lackluster customer service and feel I was taken advantage of without any consideration for inconvenience. You charge the customer for failure to perform these items, but do nothing when your team fails. I feel uhaul could at least provide me a discount on my upcoming rental to compensate me for my additional inconvenience and need to clean the truck before use. My billing was corrected to the one day upon return, and the mileage was corrected from my estimate to the actual, but that is it. I feel I was taken advantage of as I had committed to this rental to make a move and arranged help during a short time frame. The excuse that the uhaul employees are busy and didn't have time to prepare my rental properly was offensive. Do you want my continued business or not? I have used or recommended your business numerous times in the past, if you do not make this uo to me, that will stop. I took pictures of all of the above, and ask that my future rental at this location be discounted to reflect my inconvenience. Is that too much to ask? The excuses were bad business, the lack of customer service worse. Come on, why should I care more than you or your employees?

I use uhaul for work once or twice a month, I rented a 26' truck and got it loaded and went on the road. In the city no issues but once I got to hiway and over 80kmh the front end shook so bad it was not drivable and I needed to do 450 km that day. Drove back to uhaul and got a different 26' truck and the delivery went well. I had to pay for loss wages and put $50 in fuel in the truck that was not drivable. I didn't have to pay for first uhaul but it cost me 4 hours of work. So $470 in wages and $50 gas and got home 4 hours later then I wanted. I will of course continue to use uhaul but still a bad taste in my mouth. Like I said I know in city driving it would have never been noticed.

The price of renting a uhaul is ridiculous now. Last time I moved (about 6 years ago) it came in to just under $80 but now that price has more than doubled.

Customer service was excellent. Thank you ! The rental vehicle functioned perfectly. Price was fair. The side windows, mirrors and headlamps were very dirty, making it unsafe to drive. We cleaned them, then visibility was good. Recommend washing returned vehicles prior to next rental contract.

I really appreciated having an employee bring the truck out from the row in the snow. Wasn't necessary but was much appreciated! I also thought the employee that helped me when I dropped the truck off on March 1 around 0715 was very friendly. He was great and I hope he knows it!

my only issue was the convenience of the storage access hours. I was fine with the standard closing time but it is not very convenient when you arrive 1/2 hour before closing the storage access only to find that when i arrived the overhead door locked making it impossible to complete my task, I am a senior and having to do the extra step to load or unload when the overhead is locked is quite difficult. Staff had already locked the overhead as they were doing their final check before clocking out. When you are advised the unit is accessible there should be something in your information that indicates the overhead is inaccessible 15--30 minutes before the storage unit is closed. Or staff should have shifts that end 15 minutes after the allowed time and do their closing lock up once the storage unit is closed to clients No feedback required. After the couple of times we showed up 1/2 hour before closing we learned not to arrive that close to closing in order to access via the overhead. The first time we could not find anyone to speak to, the 2nd time someone was doing the walkabout inside the storage area and advised us that access was via the door that close to closing.

Had an issue with the truck plug for the trailer wiring. They wouldn't let me take the trailer because running lights weren't working, but I picked up at 8 am and had to be back by 4. Brake and signal lights were just fine. The guy basically walked away and told me to come back when the plug on the truck was working. I can rent from any U-Haul, and generally have had a good experience so will likely go to another location next time.

The pickup experience was so bad that it really makes me reconsider whether I'd rent with Uhaul again. I originally booked a trailer to pick up at U-Haul Moving & Storage at Century St but received a call the day before stating that they don't have a trailer and offered a larger trailer to me, plus I had to pick it up a day early. We were staying at a hotel in Winnipeg, plus we have a mid-size SUV, so a larger trailer a day earlier was an inconvenience and would cost more in fuel. It didn't stop there though. The dispatcher didn't mention that I had to pick it up at a different location outside the city 15 minutes further away. I started and the first location, then they told me the trailer was at the other location at WINNIPEG WEST TRUCK & TRAILER RENTALS on Portage Ave. I had to drop off my family at the hotel to wait for me, then drove to the second location. I arrived to find the place closed and locked up. It then gets even worse. The dispatcher then found a different trailer at a third location on Regent Ave that was 40 minutes away from the Portage Ave location and asked me to drive 1,5 hours longer (round trip) to go pick up the trailer. Once I got there, the attendant that helped me was great and very helpful. He helped to reverse my hitch ball to level the trailer. Worked great.

The after hours app to return the pickup truck did not work for me (Barcode scanner in particular), but I was helped by the friendly staff on the 24/7 call centre, and they were able to instruct me on how to safely return the truck rental keys. The in store staff were very pleasant to work with and very friendly. They were very knowledgeable on their product and service and helped me contact the assistant manager in a timely manner to help me with a refund once they noticed that I had tried to use the app with no luck. I look forward to using their service in the future, thank you so much for your assistance!

for some reason I was not able to type a review regarding Tamia as the Error notice kept coming on the cell phone. That was unfortunate as she was very helpful and pleasant.

The wipers didn't work on the passenger side. The general ride of the truck was nerve racking - steering was sloppy and loose, front shocks were very spongey. I also would have thought the truck would be ready for me when I picked it up. I had to find it in the yard and the window was covered in snow and ice.

The staff member who worked with me on pick up was fabulous - friendly, efficient, etc. The van was mostly clean but smelled strongly of smoke - someone had very obviously been smoking in it. This did not make for a pleasant experience driving it. Thankfully it wasn't horridly cold so I could open the window to lessen the smell.

The customer service employee named John is excellent. He is very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. Need more staff on . John was handling ALL the customers, and it was what most consider the end of month for moving. Containers - very clean, needed. But two expensive!

The staff in Edmonton and in Winnipeg were above average. Kind, friendly, understanding, knowledgeable, able and willing to help. The truck wasn't perfect. The driver side mirror wasn't tight enough to stay in position which could have been dangerous. (Staff in Winnipeg took note) and the engine light turned on part way to my destination. When I called they told me to keep driving. I did and it was fine. But it just added a note of stress. But the truck was clean. The ramp was so helpful and was easy to use The storage facility was like new. All together a good experience. I'd recommend Uhaul to anyone on a budget.

The storage facility was excellent. However, I had really terrible service with the staff. They seemed to have a uninterested attitude, like I had inconvenienced them. I really should file a detailed complaint about what happened when I had booked my trailer rentals. I spent 6 hours of my time plus gas, trying to deal with these people. Slightly disappointed with the move-out process, but the facility itself was excellent.

The building was 86 degrees with no fans or AC and also had a set of 10 stairs that was unexpected. The online videos show a service elevator and there's reference to an elevator on placards around the building? I felt terrible for my movers due to both.

An elevator would be much more convenient to haul heavy stuff it was inconvenient for the heavy stuff to carry it to the storage and it takes awhile to open the main door too we almost couldn’t get in.

Only one overhead door. It was out of service so we had to unload outdoors through sliding small door in extreme cold and wind. (below minus 30 wind chill). The reason I selected this facility is I knew from the past they had indoor unloading. They certainly charge for this convenience! A second overhead door should be installed or at minimum have capability to raise and lower the single door by chain in event of electrical failure. The washroom is also out of service. I was going to try moving again today but door still not repaired. Try spend an extra dollar on 24 hour repair service you certainly charge for having indoor convenience. Especially in this winter weather. So disappointing.

Had to return to office as code didn't work. Had both storage unit codes set to same code. Cold windy winter day and overhead door was out of service. Had to unload out doors in the cold thru small pedestrian sliding door. Storage units were clean and secure. Washroom was also out of service. I had called to confirm open hours as it was a Stat holiday today. Would have been nice if they advised me the overhead door was not working and you had to unload outdoors and carry everything in. Perhaps they should consider removing small slider and install a second overhead door . Overall a very cold disappointing start to our move and very poor impression.

Overall OK, space was clean and elevated about 1 foot from the ground. Price was very reasonable for the two months we used it because I got one month free from renting the moving truck. Just not too happy that the space in front of storage is not salted, we slipped a couple of times.

The bathroom might need some help as it smells and it's not very clean. Add a squeegee a broom and more shovels so we can remove our snow from our vehicles after they are parked inside for loading and unload.thank you kindly for the service!!

I've been locked out 2. Ight in a row it's 7:30pm I can't access to get into building I was under impression I had until 10-11pm to access my unit I have a van full of my belongings and am wanting to store it in my unit. Not sure how to solve this problem as it's very frustrating.

Would be nice to get refund for the days that were payed for. I was payed up till Dec 23 2022 and ended contract on Nov 28 2022 thinking I would be reimbursed for days not used but was told Uhaul doesn't reimburse for last days not used... just sayin .

Your employee "David" told me I had not reserved a storage locker although I did. It took him about 30 mins to locate me on his PC. Took another 20 mins to locate & show me how the codes work as he jumped from one code access box to another. He was totally incompetent and did not know what he was doing. Very frustrating. Everything else with Uhaul was absolutely fine.

Storage units were clean, heated and easy to load and unload from. Dollies were available. U-Haul truck was parked inside during moving. One unit had a spill (possibly cleaning detergent) from an above unit run down along the wall and onto some of our bins and a chair (manager was made aware).

Our experience of moving from BC to Winnipeg was greatly facilitated by using over 12 U-Haul boxes that were hauled all the way from BC to their local storage in Regent Street. Janna worked hard to accommodate the delivery to the rented house and then to our new home. Overall a very satisfactory experience!

Overall it was good. The day we moved out there were no dollies in the area where we were so I walked over to the other side where someone was operating a fork lift. The operator was very rude and scolded me for being on that side of the storage area. She didn't ask if I needed help she just yelled at me for being in that area.

I would like to express my thoughts about the lack of Information when I made my reservation. The price I was quoted was for the upper level so I had to pay more for main level. I was also not informed that I had to use a specific lock to be purchased at the facility. I called the facility and spoke to the manager who told me that the rep at the call center I talked to did not know a out the stipulations for their facility and I said they should be. I was not very happy about having to pay $25 more per month and would like to receive some type of compensation. I look forward to hearing from you with respect to this matter.

I have had 2 storage lockers at the storage facility on Regent Ave. for several years and I am very happy with the cleanliness and lighting ... and the indoor temperature is comfortable. The office staff is friendly, helpful, and patient. My recent move-out was simply to trade a small locker for a medium-sized one.

Instructions were not clear when moving in , and when having issues , upon requesting some help through the speaker , no help was provided and workers who were in the building completely ignored rather then help.

Very confused about why U-Haul would not make masks mandatory while inside the storage warehouse. I feel that it is disingenuous to claim the space as a private location, therefore exempt from enforcing a mask policy. An average of 10 people have been dying every day in Manitoba for the last couple months. It is a very simple policy to enact to ensure your customers (and the communities) safety. This is pretty much the main reason why I closed my up my storage account and why I would not recommend U-Haul to someone else for storage. Wear a mask.

Horrible place to contact and talk with someone. Plus all the xtra fees added Especially a $3 charge to make a Phone payment RIDICULOUS !!

We were on this locker a year and a half An auto payment went through Sept 20, we were at the store on the 21st to ask for a payment reversal since we have emptied the locker since last month. Manager said no, we had to pay for the whole month, no consideration for loyal long time customers... Won't ever use them again.

Just one miss! Because I rented the trailer for a one way move (?) U Haul offered one month free storage. It was in our reservation but the service person did not pick up on the offer. He charged my card for the first month and I now have to call next month and let your people know to not charge me for second month,

The website registration is absolutely impossible to complete. It forces you to have a second contact but that person cannot have the same address or phone number that you are listing. It won't allow work phone numbers or addresses to be used. After several tries I was successful the first time, needing a second unit (because website information was inaccurate about the correlation between unit size and size of apartment/house furnishings it fits) I was unable to book it online as it had already associated all the phone numbers I had used for the previous booking and I don't have others I can use. Updates to the website content and booking system are imperative.

My month long rent for a parking spot ended on August 11th. I went to pick up my trailer on Regent and got a charge of a full month between August 11th to September 11th and had to pay 94 bucks for a full month that I won't use. I won't be storing anything there again. I should have paid a daily or weekly fee

I stored my RV. It was easy to access. I could remove and return very easily without undue maneuvering around other vehicles. It was mouse free.

I found it hard to get though to someone when calling, 20 -30 minute wait times. Was told by call centre operator that the end and beginning of the months were the busiest time for its moving day ... I found it easier to just drive in than deal with the call centre As soon as I pulled into the Regent facility I had some help me almost immediately ... very pleased.

We were quick to move our things after the first month free because we could not afford the regular rental price. We have had to empty and move everything to a cheaper storage unit that is just as clean and easier to get to.

Every time I have gone to grab items from my locker, the bathroom is always out of order. The septic tank always seems to be full. Also, I paid for a full months rent, and I was out a little over a week after my payment. It would be nice to get a credit for the time I didn't occupy the space. Great money maker for your company but if someone leaves prior to the end of the month, a refund of the time not being used would be great. Basically a waste of $202 from March 12 to March 21.

I placed friendly staff. However, we had to ask a staff member how to open garage door. He made us fell dumb that we didn't know to hit the correct button to open door when he came to main loading area to show us. We were very happy otherwise with the stage facility.

The worst part of our uhaul experience was that no one contacted us to let us know our u-box had arrived from Toronto. Pathetic that you can't even email. Customer service was rude and unhelpful.

It really is unethical that you do not refund any amounts paid for a storage unit when you move out of it before the next due date. I will never again use U-Haul and I will be sharing this incident.

I wa able to access my 2 U-boxes even on short notice. Everytime I call the call center 3rd party I think it was, I get a prompt call back from the facility. Overall experience with U-haul was good.

I had to wait 2 hours before I could start filling the container as we received the u haul with a lock on it and no one gave us a key. Uhaul forgot the moving blankets at time of pickup. Poor service.

Costly. Ad says 24 h access but not to go in.dangerous ramps having to use; no way of pulling truck in after 7, resulted ankle injury/damaged furniture. Had to pay movers $200 extra, door wouldnt open
