Items got wet utilizing the truck. When mentioned to rep when checking in, his answer "you did not purchase insurance". I understand if it rains and water can get in to the truck under the door seals, but the water getting in was more than the floor getting wet and soaking up the boxes. Items stacked off the floor also was wet, which tells me this is a faulty door seal allowing too much water to enter the truck. Customer satisfaction is not a priority at this location.

I was the only one who had the keys and was told at time of rental if keys lost would have to pay a locksmith to open. Not once when I went to office to ask about additional padlock placed on unit was I ask to see my ID. Filing police report and complaint with Better Business. Will be speaking to attorney. Very angry and sad as the items were antiques from my late parents home.

Stephanie just threw her arm out and said over there. there wasn't a van in the direction she pointed, so I went back in and repeated this process with no luck. I saw one at the very back of the lot and walked back there, nope not the right van. went back in and she said. "then it's at the front of the lot". we walked up there and eventually found it. This is a big lot. My husband was lugging the dolly with me all over the lot. Then we went to use the appliance dolly we rented and it was too tall for the inside of the van so it was very little help.
Patricia DunnAfter our recent experience, we will not use the services at Unhaul again nor will we recommend it to any. We were suggested too small of a truck by the associate. The size given to us is usually offer when moving a college dorm according to other truck moving companies. We were not aware of this at time. This caused a huge inconvenience for us. When reported, a customer service manager by the name of Felipe responded via email offering only a $25 credit. I replied to his email explaining why this was not sufficient, and never heard back. Please see attached: Filipa, Your email states that you understand the inconvenience that this has caused my family and I, however, it's more than apparent that you do not. If your agents are going to recommend truck sizes to consumers, they should request more information. Not all two bedroom homes are the same size, therefore, some will have furniture that is smaller and others larger. The agent did not ask the sizes of any furniture items, nor did she ask the square footage of the home, which might suggest that larger items may be present. How is it considered sufficient for agents to suggest a truck size without obtaining this information? Consumers do not work in this field and the average consumer is not familiar with truck dimensions, how much they can hold, etc. This being the case, when a specific truck size is given, that is what the consumer will accept. Had we arrived at the UHaul store and were offered the smallest truck that you had available, it would have been more obvious to us that it was not of a sufficient size. With the 15 ft truck, we honestly did not see that it wasn't going to work out. Again I say, we do not work in this field, did not know how much the truck would hold, and therefore accepted the size quoted to us by the agent. The movers that we hired realized that all items were not going to fit when they had about half of our belongings in the truck. The movers were scheduled for another job @ 2:30 and did not have time to stop at that point, wait for us to go back to the Uhaul store, hope that there is a lager vehicle available, come back to the house, have them to unload the smaller truck and load up the new truck. I reached out to two other moving companies. One of which was not available and the other wanted $625 for two hours due to the short notice, not to mention the money that would have been wasted paying the other movers. this would have totaled close to $1,000! Our hands were tied at this point and it was a better decision to have half of our items loaded than none at all. This would have been a nightmare had it been a local move, being that we were heading out of town made it that much worse. Because of this, we have to miss a day of work ( our lease is up on the 29th ) make another 3 1/2 hour trip from Collinsville, Illinois to Springfield, Mo (totalling 7hrs) rent another truck for $340, plus the cost of gas, which will be $65 for our vehicle and about $80-$90 for the Uhaul. So, not to sound unappreciative for your offering a $25 voucher, but this is simply not fair. If these are merely suggestions and it is recommended that we measure our items, and then visit a location to measure the inside of a couple of trucks to ensure that it is sufficient, that's what should be said. At present, we still have several items left in our home that need to be moved. I am very disappointed that because the agent did not in fact ask any sizes or dimensions of our items, that she did not suggest that we rent a truck one size larger to ensure that everything would fit. We are not familiar, and were relying on the agent to guide us appropriately. Our move was to be completed on Saturday, with a return date for the truck on Sunday. It now has to be completed on Thursday, and has caused a major delay as well as a huge inconvenience. This is not our field of expertise, and it was not stated that the size given was a only guesstimate. The agent stated with absolute certainty, and without hesitation that this was the size truck that was needed. We trusted this advice from the trained professional and because it was not accurate, we have to pay twice, in addition to enduring all other inconveniences that come with it? robert goveroThe hitch was damaged on the trailer and the girl who hooked me up couldn't get the trailer attached and she kept telling me I had the wrong size ball. I left the facility and the knob which screws the hitch to the ball was loose and the trailer bounced up and down on the tongue. After getting to my home I further examined the tongue and it had been hit which bent it back over the metal flap that locks the knob from backing out and coming loose. So I fixed it the best I could because we had to leave early the next morning. So i made it as secure as I could to latch onto the ball. When I dropped the trailer off at the drop off location I showed them. Wouldn't get anything again from this rental location in Springfield, MO.

They charged us 2 gallons of gas when the gas meter didn't change. Poor customer service. They charged us for minimum of 50 miles and said whatever we don't use we would get a refund in 3 days. Darrell HagerThere was a mix up when I returned the rental truck. They said I had put over 200 miles on the pickup truck that I rented when in fact I had only put 12 miles on it. Josh was very kind & said he believed me, but the truck showed the mileage at more than 200 miles since I had rented it earlier that day. I was frantic & got very upset & was almost in tears. I was told they would have a mechanic (?) run diagnostics(?) on it the next morning where they could tell exactly how many miles I drove it. I called the next morning, after worrying all night, & Josh wasn't there, but Tracy (?) said it showed on my receipt that I was charged for only 12 miles. I asked her what caused the mix up & she said she didn't know. I was very relieved the truth came out & I wasn't charged 100's of dollars for their mistake, but I still would like to know what happened. The whole ordeal really upset me & I worried about it all night, however I felt like Josh & the other guy at least believed me & they handled it very professionally & were very kind.

Finally I was told I had a unit ready and that I would receive a call when it was done being cleaned. 3 days went by, and I never received a call. I called the store and they said I didn't have a reservation anymore because I never came back in to sign the contract. I stated that I was never told to come back in at any point, I was told I would receive a call when it was finished being cleaned and ready for me to move in. The lady on the phone sounded very irritated, and decided to hold it for me once again for a later date. I go in on that day, and they STILL had no reservation with my name. They had to now call the store manager who had me down. Once I finally was able to sign the contract, I was told my unit would have a lock and key. I got inside and there of course was no lock or key. I went back into the store and stood inside for 5-10 minutes waiting on somebody to come inside to help me. I told the person that they did not leave me a lock and key in my unit and she had no idea how to help me, and I once again was sent to somebody else. That person grabbed a new lock and key from the shelf and gave it to me and they both walked off without saying a word. Terrible service.

From the local business staff who were friendly and helpful to the online processes, my experience with renting a UHaul van and indoor climate-controlled storage unit was just what I needed and more than I had imagined. It was great to go from almost 100 degree temps into an AC access from vehicle to storage space. Luxury! I knew my electronics were safe in the controlled environment since computers can react to moisture and extreme temps. I am recommending UHAUL whenever moving comes into conversations and will use your services again in the future. Thank you for keeping this great company thriving.

There needs to be better communication between phone customer service and the stores and what the stores are showing available!! Very stressful after 3 hour move!!

Then BAM both times at 2 different locations " no trucks not here!!! " Don't know anything!!! Ok let me see if I can find you another truck?? REALLY??? Then I drive ACROSS TOWN and hope to GOD it's there. 1st time I had to go to 3 locations. This is a city not some a tiny small town. U-HAUL GET IT TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When it comes to charges, it is a must to be as accurate as possible. I had to talk to UHAUL company reps to correct incorrect charges and refunds caused by the GM of this store. Everything got squared away, but it was a hassle. For my service on 9/1, that one went a lot smoother. It was definitely a smoother process than when I arrived initially. Although I would not use this location again, I will have to note that I was thankful to have received a climate controlled storage after my initial one was given away to someone else. Im just glad the entire process is over.

The facility was great - convenient (about a 5 minute drive to my daughter's new apartment), clean, free of critters, nice temp, well lit, and beyond spacious. I felt very safe leaving our daughter's belongings there. The rental fee was extremely reasonable and I liked all the selections of unit sizes. We will definitely use U-Haul every summer of her college years! So much better than "haul"ing all her stuff back and forth to Texas!

Pamela Green | Premières impressionsEverything was fine with this location until I received an incorrect invoice. I was charged a wrong drop off location fee, a extra two day fee, and a coverage fee. All of these were incorrect. This was done by an associate there by the name of Zach. I dropped off my rental with the auto transport two days before due date at the correct location with more gas in the tank than when I received it. On top of this, I have to wait forever and a day to speak to a rep to resolve the charge for additional mileage. I was told at the time of reservation that it would only cost $0,4/additional mile. However, I have actually been charged $1/additional mile. Pretty exasperating experience. Thankfully, I was able to speak to Zach and he waived each fee except for the mileage fee. Now, I have to hope and pray that I speak to someone soon at UHAUL to get the mileage fee corrected. I may never use UHAUL again after this experience.

I wanted to cry, because my money is so tight. Now we are loaded up and don't have anyplace to put my things. Luckily and by the Grace of God. You guys on s. Campbell came through for me. The next day I went to the U-Haul dealer, and Matthew, who was quite professional throughout this whole situation, indicated that instead of the 10x10 I ordered all they had was 25x5s. Today I went back to get a refund as this would not do. I again talked to Matthew, who was again very professional, and then to his boss Zachary. Zachary said the computer was made to indicate that the unit I wanted was available even if it was not. This is a classic bait and switch, which is highly illegal, and I am considering taking action with the state's attorneys general regarding this matter. Zachary, the general manager, did indicate that even though I 'moved in' last night, which I did not, I would in fact be getting a refund.

Ive tried calling over and over with no answer, been placed on hold for over an hour twice (one time 2 minute before closing time and the second time I was disconnected) but i can't ever reach you. Some of the items in the truck include debit cards that someone tried to run yesterday and other items are all I have left of my child that passed away. I look forward to hearing from you. We are a military family. My husband walked in and asked to be serviced, but the young lady flat out said "no". Then they asked if he had a reservation and because we did, they "made an exception". The entry card was intrigue and no one explained it. Everyone was in such a hurry to leave that by 5 minutes after closing, they were all gone and we were asking other customers for help. I'm okay with them being upset. The truth is the truth. But the guy serving us both as kind. Very.

Doug Bliss | Premières impressionsAfter being advised by the staff that the unit I was looking at would accommodate a 1200 sq ft apt I secure the unit, upon seeing the unit and finding it was no more than a broom closet that was 10' tall. When I went back to the representative for assistance he called the store manager who refused to assist, snapped at me to get off the property that he can refuse service and told me if I did not leave he would call the police for trespassing, when I requested a refund I was told to call corporate that he wasn't refunding me until they made him do so. Upon contacting corporate I was issued refund and never returned but have received emails and a phone call telling me my storage payment is due. This location does not treat people well nor do they apparently manage their units appropriately as they did not document that the unit I secured was not used and the contract voided.

I was told they where the cleaning staff. He explained what thier jobs are. Honestly, my wife and I didn't appreciate the feeling we where getting. We suffered a loss at our last storage unit. Someone broke in and cleaned it out. It all started by my wife being watched by a couple of people while she was unloading our truck. So we are a bit touchy and suspicious. Just didn't like turning around and seeing this two employees all the time.

I was help hostage by Uhaul because of a system wide computer issue that prevented the rental of storage units. I was delayed a day and required to stay over night incurring unexpected expenses.
