I was traveling alone with my four kids and was clear with my need for safety precautions to U-Haul . I was disappointed in the maintenance of the equipment.

Paul FosterThis isn't my original drop-off location. FGC Towing & Recovery, 3600 Colson Rd, Bryan, TX 77808, is the option it gave me and the one I selected. When I pulled into the location Sunday afternoon and called the number on the door, he told me he would not accept the drop-off because he had too many trailers. He then told me " go find somewhere else to drop it off!" This is unprofessional and unacceptable. If this person isn't excepting U-Haul equipment, then why was I given the option to select the location? I had to call U-Haul customer service, and get another drop-off location that was 20 minutes away from the location I was at. Completely inconvenient to me and my family, not to mention it was poring down rain. I highly hope that measure will be taken to prevent this from happening to your next customer. Bill Garrettreturn instructions for after hours are not clear, after an hour of searching finally realized the scan code was on the trailer itself and after waiting for 15 minuets for a telephone rep, they could not assist in checking trailer in. This was after I changed my location on my phone and allowed access, etc. this is my 25th trailer or rental over the last two years. only good thing was pricing this time, because you needed the trailer in college station Texas.
Daniel HowellThis location is normally very busy but I was lucky and just needed a small truck over Spring Break, which worked out well in my favor. First let me say I wish I could remember the gentleman's name who assisted me, he has helped me before and is always amazing, a true asset to UHaul and this location! Without a reservation I was able to rent a truck within 10 minutes from start to finish, it helps I'm a returning customer. It was a very short rental to move a few items that had been delivered, but again the person who helped me was awesome, the entire staff really, but him in particular. I normally do not go out of my way to offer/provide a review but this was very warranted, many thanks!
Thomas McGowanThe vehicle we rented was in very poor condition. Two of the tires were very close to bald which negatively impacted safe driving speeds. There was clothing in the cab and only a quarter of a tank of gas in the vehicle. Additionally the gas cap would not stay snapped in place. Mahmoud Fath El DenThe staff was not busy and there were very few customers. Yet, there seemed to be no real desire to assist customers. The equipment was stacked in tight and not clean. The person tasked with connecting the trailer was unable to complete the hookup because the trailers hung on one another due to crowding. Because of the frustration with the trailer the moving blankets in my order were forgotten.

david browningShe told me that if I didn't use the rest of the mileage it would be returned to my card but when I get to the destination they told me that was a lie! I asked the lady was there a dolly in my truck she told me yes and that was a lie! They told me that since I was looking around for locations for a dolly that's all I had to do was put the gas in a half of tank and they would put it in the system so I wouldn't have to pay the gas charge and that was a lie!! I put 25 dollars to put it on a half of tank and y'all still charged me 50 dollars yet I was told to do so!!
Hywatha SmithThe truck was VERY old and worn, and as a result the interior was less than up-to-par. Also, most of the truck and transport tires were very under-inflated, I had to inflate them at my residence with my home air compressor. Some tires were at 25psi. Nonetheless, the U-Haul associates were SUPER!
Mitchell LedermanI had to pick up my truck at a different location, 5 miles further away and return it to a location a few miles further than my preferred location. Although UHaul gave ,me 15 extra miles on the rental, it didn't seem like a fair deal. Also, I hired moving help through UHaul to help us unload the truck in Bryan. The guys didn't show on time and when I contacted them they said it would be 2 hours later and then they said they couldn't get to us that day. Told us to cancel and find somebody else at 4 pm!! We are 2 females, 68 and 77 years old who were really depending on help to unload the truck. So very disappointed.

Thurston JonesI first stopped at the other location and spoke to Bree. There were no available units available in the size I needed. She found the right sized unit at this location and sent me to see Brody. Brody helped complete the paperwork quickly and then showed me the units and how to use the access card system. I immediately moved several boxes I had in my car into the unit and found the building very clean and easy to access my units. After hunting for a unit at several other companies I grew frustrated but U-Haul made getting a unit painless. Merci.

This was initially alarming, this should be told to customers. It made driving dangerous as it was difficult to pass slower drivers. She said she was busy and could not complete the check in process. She listened to my complaint and just said that yes the vans do have a speed governor. She said she would send me an email noting a final receipt. It never showed up. I called the store and was transferred to your customer support line. Valerie helped me get the receipt.

cody martinThere as some confusion on the ticket. I had picked up and paid for a hitch for my Nissan. Dude rang up my total and it more than I expected. I did quick math and figured it was the hitch, I showed my receipt for the hitch. He took it off total. It was still a little higher. He explained the total on my receipt did not include tax. That was it. When we went out to hookup the trailer, the Dude told me what he was doing and how to check it was mounted correctly. He hand tightened the ball lock. He took one safety chain and twisted it before hooking it on frame. I asked is that to make the chain shorter. He said yes. Did dame on other. He went to hook up electrical and asked if I had an adapter? No. We went inside and purchased the item. Then he had me turn on flashers and checked trailer lights. Fine. He confirmed where I was dropping it off. Highlighted numbers and info to checkin. I felt good when I left.

Nobody really spoke when I was standing there waiting and when I got my keys I had no idea where I was going in the building.. I had no idea you had to check in and enter from separate key pads.. and when I found out where it was it was actually right down from the office and I was confused why, with 4 guys standing around, they couldn't show me where I needed to go and how I needed to get into the building. A storage is a storage but I probably wouldn't use it again.

The carts are old and missing wheels which makes it difficult to get your things moved in and out out (sometimes you are having to wait for a cart). Several times I have tried to get in but the entire loading area was filled with UHAUL trucks and there was no place close to park and load (very frustrating).

With the exception of having enough staff fully capable of quickly processing clients needs when the client is in a hurry (and I was). The ability for all businesses to remain fully staffed with energetic, friendly staff is clearly a nationwide problem that has affected all businesses. On my last visit, it was the client that kept adding on question after question that affected my experience and not the local staff. I'm always grateful for U-Haul, especially in College Station!

The storage facility was equipped with the restrooms and it was very clean. I would highly recommend using uhaul storage for storing you things. I also used uhaul to rent their truck and cargo van in the past and the people there was very nice they always got me what I needed. The price was great.

Y'all may seriously want to reevaluate your staff and lack of customer service, we also received a bill for an additional month of rent and we don't even have stuff there, we paid everything that day we moved out, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place to use, they should just shut down it's so bad and has been for years!

Got to the building and code didn't work. Went inside for help and they couldn't figure it out so after almost 45 minutes of attempting they let us in with a key (which I asked them to do in the beginning and stated I would still wait around while they tried to figure it out). Now 2 days later, time wasted waiting around to get in, truck returned late because we couldn't get in and still no access to our belongings. Not a good experience at all.

He did not understand the meaning of patience. He neglected to explain how to access the building with the key pads until I went back and asked for him to show me how. He did not offer to sell or give me a lock. Then he moved on to the next customer before he was finished with me. I had to get another person to assist me. Overall I think he needs some training on how to work in customer service. BTW he was texting some girl on his phone (I saw her picture).

Robert Leroyer | Premières impressionsThere is very little climate control in the climate controlled units. It was over 85-90degrees I realized after I paid. I didn't even use my unit because it was too hot…intolerable especially with my health conditions (heat causes me hives). Also there was very little parking and the parking was very difficult to get to. I paid for a month of climate controlled storage I could not use! I tried to go back to the office the same day I rented to ask for a refund but the air conditioning was out so they had the doors open! It was over 100 degrees outside! There was a line & I could not wait in the heat due to my health conditions so I left. Then when I went to check out of the unit I was told I had to go up to the unit, get the lock off and bring it to the desk even though when I rented the unit the lock was already on the unit door!
Katherine Mondragon | Expérience généraleSo… The staff and normal operations at this you all are fine; They were respectful and diligent, but they have been given an impossible job to do, the site is newer and has good amenities, but the site needs to hire about six to ten times as many employees to handle the move in season at Texas A&M, this is a predictable flood/tsunami of incoming business, and the business should definitely hire at least six more full-time agents for move-in time. The site and all the sites around it were covered in trailers trucks etc…Literally hundreds of trailers and trucks parked in every conceivable place in every direction… and it was almost impossible to move vehicles in or out, this is really not the fault Of the manager or staff working there, they did all they could, but whoever oversees staffing this site next to Texas A&M University definitely needs to rethink their staffing idea for the arrival of the students for the school year at a university with 66 000 students! Pretty inexcusable, really! On a sidenote, the flood of business meant that I could not return my truck to the site for my storage facility was, but had to drive 40 minutes to a small town in the country to turn my truck in..

Then called because there was no 26 and I had to have a 17. Then at pickup wait took forever because your people are slow. Then there was a stack of 20 footers a available. Why was I not offered one of these at booking? So I switched to the 20 but they could not print out another rental document so I left with the wrong rental doc, the whole Uhaul system is horrible.

I asked the 4 grown men working there and they didn't know what I was talking about and didn't care. My tools were in the box. Luckily I had a tiny bit set and pliers. The 2nd box had an alphabetical padlock. Talked to a dozen people easily. Nobody knew anything. The 3rd box was bolted shut. I just did it myself. I complained but all employees and the manager Justin Grimes blew me off completely. I have some video and pictures. Nobody did they're job and they cursed profusely. I will tell everyone this true story for the rest of my life

I was paying two moving helpers while we waited almost 30 minutes to gain access to my unit. I was given a temporary code and was told to call at a later date to obtain a working code unique to me. The amount of time we waited was unreasonable. Everyone was very polite but it took WAY too long to assign me a temporary code and send me along

On 10/19/2021 was my first time seeing the storage because my daughter put my belongings into the storage for me because I lived in Baton Rouge, LA before moving here this past weekend. I was charged $150 on a smaller storage. And I knew it was smaller because the way they had to store a one bedroom of furniture in there. But it is what it is, no need to cry over spilled milk.

We showed up with our furniture and all the instructions were clear in the email we received to get into our new storage unit. So nice to have carts available to help move the heavy stuff! In general, I was very pleased with the ease of access, the tools they provided to help with the move, and the cost of the storage unit!

That just added huge amounts of anxiety. Next, my daughter made a trip to move out of storage on aug 2, 2021. The store personnel told her that the storage was closed and she had no access as they had trucks everywhere. We pay to have access and should have been able to move out that day. We had to make an extra trip to move out aug 7.

But the storage facility smells like urine in the hallways and there is a rat traps/poison in our storage unit which causes concern that my stuff will become rat invested, or smell of dead rats in a few months. How does urine get in the building? Are people living in the units? Why mice/rats? Are people storing food in units?

I realize people are busy but there should be an option to leave a message and expect a TIMELY call back. The recording kept saying that 'someone will be with me shortly and calls are answered by the order received; honestly i don't think my call would have ever been answered. I have been in the facility whenever someone was waiting on a person at the counter and answered the phone, "U-Haul please hold' and didn't get back to them. This website said to contact the U-Haul Storage Facility and try to resolve any disputes before leaving feedback.' I wish I could have talked to someone to resolve this.

They sent me to another facility where I could get a vehicle but I lost about an hour and a half of time due to the problem.

rob Bruce | Premières impressions1. The computer kept popping out of current screen back to the beginning. I had to keep giving the same phone numbers over and over again. 2. We were told the unit number was 1406 so we had unloaded about 1/2 the a 15' truck of stuff next to that location. However, there was a lock on the unit. I had to go back inside. I was then told that unit was occupied and I needed to go to unit 1122. We had to re-load and move all of that stuff over to that unit. 3. On returning the truck, I was not given any paperwork showing I had returned it. It was returned clean, in good condition, with the same amount of gas. Twelve hours later I still don't have a confirmation email. 4. My answer for question number six is no only because I did not have a third option. After having moved from one city to College Station we were tired and the inconvenience was significant. If I had had the option to say maybe that is what I would have chosen.

I went to get my things out and again they had a lock on it for non payment ( remember they have my card on file). They had the lock again on the wrong unit. Finally able to get my things and I didn't owe anything. I want nothing to do with this facility. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

It's infuriating to me that I was paying them to endanger my life (I'm at risk of complications if I contract COVID-19) and the health/lives of other customers.

I don't blame the employees, but I wish there was a better process that could've been put in place to make it more efficient.
