Only glitch is that we had trouble communicating effectively because UHaul has my account crossed with my dad's. My 89 year old dad kept getting some of my calls and texts instead. We tried to straighten this out several times without success. For instance, this email was addressed to me but the email I received yesterday was addressed to him. He was the one contacted about shipment to the final destination rather than me. I just made it difficult to keep things in order and know what was going on. This is, by no means, a reflection on the service, just some computer issues that probably need to be addressed.

Overall great experience, great customer service! One small problem but it was handled and resolved. The general manager stated that there is now a 50 mile minimum estimate needed to be added for local moves. It was stated it was not a company wide policy but left up to each individual store to decide whether they wanted to or not. I made the reservation online and estimated my miles at 20 miles. I feel if this policy was required it should have been posted online as a disclaimer or something. Like I said the general manager and I kindly discussed and a solution was provided. Much appreciation. Just be aware!

Went to drop at u haul location on Ambsssdor Caffery where I told manager at original rental location that is the location I will drop trailer. They would not take it there and I was forced to drop it at location that was 10 miles round trip from the ambassador location. Not happy

The vehicle had no dashboard lights! The steering was so loose it was super dangerous to drive on the road and in my opinion, needs to be serviced badly or retired from the fleet. Overall the worst experience with UHaul.

The prorate moving is is great. To bad you don't do that on moving out paid for a full month's rent and only used 2 days worth. Would've given above average if it was. Plus an employee could've told me was going to be locked out of the main loading areas while I was emptying out my storage. It's been days after my move out date and I'm finding new things that were taken from me including social security information and important birth info for my baby. If I could come every day and leave a negative review I would!!! Insurance was not offered during contract signing, but of course mentioned once things were taken from my storage unit. I'm so confused about the way things were done and the lack of communication.

I have stored with other companies and been very disappointed. I even bought insurance and couldn't collect when rats chewed holes in our leather sectional and things molded. Therefore I asked lots of questions ahead of time about rodents and mold. I was assured that the facilities we're excellent. Our things were in storage for seven months. Everything was perfect when we returned. From start to finish, the staff members were all helpful, polite, and knowledgeable while they answered any questions I had. The automatic payments worked well while we were out of state. The U-Haul on Kaliste Saloom is the best storage facility in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Would've liked to have the 3 weeks left of my rental refunded. I have pictures showing nothing was left in the rental was only in the unit 10 days. No refund so not happy. Legally entitled to a partial refund. But it is what it is I guess. Paper I was given said no refunds and nothing owed so. Not happy.....

I never had any issues until I went to move out my things. My move out was delayed by 2 days due to being unable to gain access to my unit ,as I was told by by one of the employees that they had to lock the doors early due to an incident on the other side of the bldg. I went back the next night to remove my things and was unable to gain access again on the other side of the bldg also. So, I had to wait until the next day to remove my items to be able to do a check out thru my app. It then took 3 days to receive my email and for my contract to not show up on my app.

There was a car in the loading dock area where we and others were trying to unload. Staff claimed they didn't know who the car was for. It was in the way the entire 1-2 hours we were there. Very inconvenient but I love my storage.

I tried to call the office to verify where I needed to go, but did not end up getting a person. I also called for help when I was on one of the floors and the button rang, but it did not end up connecting with anyone. The complaint I have is when you try and call no one answers or calls you back. You have to keep calling until you finally get someone. The other complaint is I paid for the full month of January and have not gotten a call, reimbursement for the part of the month since I moved out of storage Sunday January 15th. That alone is making it to where I do not want to use uhual again. The storages were clean and no damage. We have called multiple times and all it does is ring. We also called customer service and got them to send two messages and still no call from them or reimbursement. When I called previous months it was not that bad but now nothing.

The staff went above and beyond to help in every situation that arose, although there were NOT many. The facility was extremely clean, sanitary, well lit and maintained by the staff. I especially loved the fact that it was semi climate controlled with dollys and carts available at no additional cost to the customer. This was my first experience renting a u-haul and it was problem free and overall a safe and easy experience. Thank you to all of the staff that helped me. Roaches in the unit and when I lost my access card was told by the "owner" they hadn't passed out access cards in the last year but then when he saw that I had just rented the unit 3 weeks earlier just stared at me shrugged his shoulders! Definitely do not recommend this location!!!

During the checkout of the storage reservation on the internet, I was informed of not being charged for the 1st month of storage due to reserving a 20' Uhaul truck in conjunction with the storage. Upon checkout & signing the documentation at the facility, the service rep did not want to discuss or explain as to why I was informed of not being charged for the 1st month of storage rental. She was very inconsiderate and slightly rude.

I only use the storage building for half of the month of October and was told that I would not be able to receive a discount for this month. My things have been in your storage over 18 months. It seems to me that U- Haul would help out good paying customers. Just like you want good or bad reviews from your customers we would like a little help from u guys as well . I had two of your building and never miss a payment. I moved my things because the rent went up and I I still trying to get back into my house. Things are very riff a this time and having to live on a fix income is not easy.

The manager was excellent however the unit I originally reserved was not available when I got there to sign and pay. Thankfully the manager had another unit available to suit my needs. I would highly recommend the manager for promptly making it right. I seems there is a communication disconnect between physical U-Haul storage facilities and the online service. The online service just lets people reserve units that are not physically available. U-Haul should talk to the physical store before allowing reservations. This very well could have become a very bad review because I drove an hour and a half to get there after I spoke to the U-Haul customer support center that confirmed everything was good to go. Thank goodness that the manager there was able to get me into a unit regardless. Some people may not be so lucky in the future. U-Haul should communicate with the facility manager to confirm the number of units available for reservations before letting customers book a reservation. I gave 4 stars because I didn't have to go find another place to bring my truck load of stuff. The staff at the facility deserves 5 STARS! The online customer support deserves 2 STARS for not actually confirming my reservations with the facility staff when I asked for a confirmation before making the trip and told me the unit was available. If I had gotten there with all my things and the manager couldn't rectify the problem I most probably would have never done business with U-Haul again because of the false confirmation I received from the support center.

The in office workers acted as though it was an inconvenience to answer and respond to questions. I was told my storage was ground level, however it was not, then the garage bay door nearest the steps I had to carry my belongings up was broke so that meant I had to move my stuff from an even further location. I also turned in the u haul prior to their end of day yet they marked the van as not being turned in until the next day. Being charged full price for 5 days when I had it 37 hours total is also majorly inconvenient.

1st locker that they give me was taken. I had 2 walk all the back to the front. It was hot & im also pregnant. When I try to come later on to put more stuff. The code didn't want to let me get it. And it was way before 10pm

Everything was great, except for the fact that I just paid my rent two days before moving out and that I am also paying for the 28 days that I won't actually be renting the units. And tyere is no offer/allowance for reimbursement even though I have been a very loyal/frequent customer.

I was simply blown away by this place. I had low expectations as my past storage rental experiences were not exceptional. I thought the building itself was unassuming. When I walked in I immediately was impressed. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Additionally the actual storage are was clean beyond my wildest imaginations. I will certainly be recommending the business for those in the area.

Unfortunately, the U-Haul I was given wasn't working correctly the mirror was broken on the passenger side making it impossible to drive in the rain. The brakes didn't work. Overall it wasn't a pleasant experience. And they charged me $200. I kept having to make stops between Lafayette and Lake Charles. In the rain after the storm to retrieve my property. It was a very sad day. Well, thank you have a great day.
