antonio rTwice I have used U-Haul and both times I had to travel far to pick up the truck. This cost extra money for extra mileage when I could've picked it up in town but there are never is any available in town. It seems you always have the one location which is far from where I live.

Richard LMy hitch is very loose and loud. This was not a good job for the money I spent to have it install. The front counter person wasn't nice at all. alanna jThey told me I can drop the key at the door after the store hours which I did in the same day. I called them to check if everything is ok they told me there's $ 20 extra charge because I dropped the key after store hours as I drove the truck hours away less than estimated mileage. I told them nobody told me about extra charges when I drop the key after store hours .

Myron CThe staff at the Absecon U-Haul were professional and helpful! They assisted me in connecting my tow dolly, checking the operation of the lights, and loading my vehicle.
William FJob was done well however communication with when it was completed was the issue. They never called me to let me know it was ready for pickup. I called twice and could not reach them nor could the central office. I ended up going back before they were to close and it was done, thank goodness.

tim wLocation is understaffed. I booked a reservation with a MANAGER (Anthony Paladino) who never put the reservation in the system so that when I showed up to have it done, the crew could not do the work and my move was delayed by over a day, also resulting in a loss of work for me, and therefore a loss of income at a crucial time. To be fair, the hitch specialest, Chris, did his best and stayed late the next night to get the work done, but when the location manager, Helena, showed up to close up and take my payment, she refused to honor the discount BOTH her employees offered me for my trouble, as well as the $50 coupon issued to me on the phone and by email. Also, the chains were put on wrong and one of the tires was almost flat. Overall TERRIBLE experience.
Alexis RI was overcharged outrageously. Service charges that aren't correct. This location needs to be shut down immediately.
Bruce HTruck was clean but in too old and poor condition for long distance one-way driving. Van bounced up and down at slightest bump no matter how slow I drove. Brakes were falling apart so notified 4th St, Brooklyn drop-off location. They noted it.

LUZ DMy experience making my reservation on Saturday at the Absecon location was straight to the point and I was informed of all rate changes per certain dates! At pick up Sunday Nicholas was friendly and knowledgeable…fixed any issues prior and my return was easy! Thank You!!

Khalid QI was insulted, belittled, and literally screamed at by the employee at this location. He interrupted my efforts to follow the posted directions to return the trailer and demanded I back the trailer into its final destination to make it "easier for him." I finally unhooked it and left it where it stood because I wasn't going to tolerate a moment more of the insults to me and my wife. It was a terrible experience. You can improve this location by identifying and firing this individual.

Richard YMy only complaint was I had the truck for about 5 hrs. Drove 86 miles. $145 was a bit expensive.
Maria PBe more accurate with the actual fuel level. Mine was noted on the contract as being helpful. It was less than half full. Which I have the screenshot of it was less than half full returning the vehicle I purchased $17 worth of gas with intentions of covering my usage. It pushed the amount of fuel in the vehicle more than 3/4 of a tank I was not reimburse, nor was I given any type of a credit or further consideration. This is wrong grossly unfair, you have a policy for every gallon is replaced in the vehicle by the company would cost the customer five dollars per gallon how about the reversal for every gallon over the designated amount stated on the contract that I returned the vehicle with I should be reimbursed five dollars. There's nothing in the contract that states you will or won't be reimbursed I feel the company should pay the five dollars for every gallon over company. Personnel stated there was no payment to be had and it's not the companies policy to pay for any gas over the amount necessary. I won't be using U-Haul anymore and I will discuss with any and all of my friends or possible customers for U-Haul not to use your service you're not fair if you're going to charge me five dollars for every gallon and I don't put back in. You should pay five dollars for every gallon that I put over the designated or required amount I don't get mad I get even I won't use your services ever again, and I will campaign to have other people made aware of your company policy not to reimburse for any gas over the amount that was stated on the contract plus the fact that you were sending a vehicle out with less than a half a tank a half a tank was stated on the contract as being in the vehicle before it left the station there's more of us than it is a view, and I hope that people find out about this unfair policy. John MPricing was a bit steep for what you got and the website and app are extremely glitchy and not reliable. Everything else was good though.

Pam restored my faith in mankind with good deeds and actions. On the verge of losing a lifetime accumulation of my household personal property due to a number of unfortunate events including COVID, I found myself homeless after being a homeowner for 30 years. In banking insurance investments and taxation for the last 30 years and self employed for the last 12, shut down and go out of business in 2021. Imagine homeless and without employment after being successful all my life? People shun you in life when things of this nature happen, but not Pam! I have to say if there was ever a company with a heart, it's U-Haul, and Pam Eckert is that heart! She understands this is a people business and not just moving & storage of things business. The world would be a better place with more people like Pam Eckert!

We utilized the free month for college students of a small storage unit. It was greatly appreciated. We got the smallest unit that was offered, which was more than we needed. We were in and out within the 1 month, but I cannot express how invaluable this was as we had 2 college kids moving back into our small home. Thank you UHaul!
