They added insurance even tho I declined it in my online reservation and in store when it prompted me and the owner could not figure out how to take it off. I'll have to call tomorrow to get it fixed. Plus what's the point of doing it all online if they have to go through the whole thing like a new reservation anyways??

Frank MoralesWhile I found the in-person customer service at both Uhaul locations to be exceptional, the corporate interference was significant and detracted from my satisfaction. I received an email from Uhaul days before I was scheduled to pick up my Ubox, informing me that the location I selected does not carry Uboxes and that one would be available for me 30 minutes away. As I was relying on friends to pick up and drop off the Ubox, this was not acceptable. I didn't mind asking friends to drive two miles for a pick up. But to drive to the far side of Orlando is not something I would ask of a friend. It took several phone calls and then a visit to the location I had booked in my reservation to ensure I had a pod. My Ubox did arrive early, however communication with the location was difficult. I had hired help to pick it up, but they were under a time constraint. I could not reach the location by the telephone. I called Uhaul scheduling. I was told it would be ready by noon. When I arrived at the location, Wesley was doing all he could to have it ready for me. He explained that they typically like to have 24 hours to prepare a Ubox for pick up. Nobody told me that. I felt I put undue stress on Wesley. He was kind enough to work me into his busy schedule and prepared the Ubox for me to take. I give Wesley 5 stars for his customer service.

But when it comes to uploading my license or confirming any other information it doesn't save. Or the accuracy of the information provided isnt correct.On 3 different occasions this year alone. I go to pick up the truck and I ended up having to give on my information again. Wasting 1+ or more. This is unexcepteable. My time is valuable. Why offer a mobile pick-up or drop off. I truly give this site a 1 star. From my personal experience.

Which I have yet to be reimbursed for (as per facility management) I have photos and videos of the insane amounts of dropping. Also the ceiling installation was torn and dust was all over my items. You may want to step up the pest control in this branch.

Yesterday the temperature, measured by a heat sensor was over 97 degrees. This is ridiculous for what is supposed to be a climate controlled storage unit. My stuff may as well been outside. In addition to that the gate to enter which requires a code is often open. The control box on the inside of the gated area is broken. The facility is also dirty. Why are you charging climate controlled price when it's not and not fixing problems brought to your attention???

The only great experience I had was when a customer service rep called to make sure my reservation was met but it wasn't looking good as I went to 3 different places and paid for extra mileage due to driving so far to even get the truck. Wasn't even the truck I wanted. Had to do multiple trips but got the job done. I will be hiring a moving company next time.

On the positive side, you hall does not play games with the rates for storage like extra space and public storage, who kept raising my rates more than once a year and said that it doesn't ever stop, so I left them.

Only one time, in over 2 years, was there any issue regarding the lighting or temperature. On the day we moved out, the temperature in the building was over 100 (close to 100 outside) and the hall lights did not come on. We noted this to the front office and they were immediately on it. Thank you for the easy storage during a stressful time in our life.

But the problem occurred when the agent called to confirm my truck rental and suggested since I would be needing a storage to stay in the uhaul family I obliged and was given a rsvp confirmation email and number for a 10 x15 storage unit which I needed to house my item I was forced to figure out where I would be putting stuff because when I arrived to check in I was told there are no unit of that size to accommodate me .. I was extremely tired from the move and cleaning the house to even want ti go anywhere els he offered us a 10x12 which isn't what I needed . The first unit was u savory in appearance. So I went back to the office n the super friendly older gentleman didn't hesitate to offer me another option. But it was extremely annoying I asked for a partial refund due to issues that came up but I was told .. it's up to the store to . Handle that .. but all 3 individuals whom I encountered were super helpful seemed to be a huge clerical error that should of never happened.but I'm would not recommend because I had to find a place for items that couldn't fit .

JEAN ST FELIX | Premières impressionsI am giving a 3/5 star, average rating because the experience was incredibly simple and the location and facility are decent. If I hadn't asked for directions to access the gate to the facility then I wouldn't have had to interact with anyone who worked there and that is very convenient indeed. However, this survey does not include the question of satisfaction with the price. I'm renting a climate controlled 5x5 space which average cost (including climate controlled) is $44 and I am paying $65. That is a price increase of very near 50 %. The directions to the facility are adequate but could be improved by stating which direction the facility map is facing. The facility map is laid out north/south, while the physical location stretches east/west. A simple fix would be a north orientation arrow on the facility map or orient the map in landscape instead of portrait. The location was easy to find, and the access to the gate can be found by doing a little searching. There appear to be no signs or directions on how to get to the gate once on property and the vehicle rental and rental return building are up front blocking the view of the storage area. It took me an extra minute to find. A minor inconvenience and now that I know it will be easy to access. I'd recommend using this Uhaul storage location for a short term but not long term time period as the extra $20 per month adds up. After a year's rent (plus taxes and fees) that is $840 vs the average price (+taxes/fees) of $600.
William Schesser | Online Move InThe move in experience was great but since then there was an incident that I feel needs addressing. I went to my unit on Sunday 5/23/21. I realized I had forgotten my passcode so I went up the office for assistance. As soon as I walked inside, BOTH of the employees behind the counter suddenly ran for the back door. When I asked where they were going I was told that another customer outside needed the keys for propane. I thought it very strange that it required two employees to do this. After I waited a few minutes one of the young ladies came back in and I explained that I had forgotten my passcode. She asked me my name, looked up my account, and then gave me the passcode. I didn't really think about it until I got outside but she never even asked for my ID or anything. She just asked me my name and gave me the passcode. Then when we went to enter the facility the gate was already open and the door to my building just opened without the passcode at all. Today 5/24/21 I went back again and it was the same story... the gate was wide open and the door to the building was just unlocked. I'm not sure if the whole "idea" of a passcode is just to make us feel like this facility is secure or if it's even necessary at all.

I bought a unit and when I opened it realized it was too small so when I went back to the front some rude, miserable bald guy tells me he can't switch me to a bigger one because it was 5:06 p.m. and that he was leaving. That's when it started pouring raining and I'm left standing there with my uhaul truck and no unit to put my things in getting soaking wet. I've already reported this situation to the customer service number.

Evidentially the AC went out the day before yet we were not told, We would have appreciated a call to let us know. We Have items that could have been damaged in the heat. I think there needs to be a lock box of some kind in the temperature control pad so it can be regulated by Uhaul not the people using the unit. On the day we moved out there was a bad storm. It was unfortunate that the computer system went down, but somehow Tanesha aNd the manager, Bedford Bellows We're able to register me for a trailer and hitch. They were extremely helpful. Buford put the hitch and trailer on my car in the pouring rain. I also accidentally broke my umbrella in the door of my car so my car door would not shut; Buford helped me figure out how to fix it. I'm so grateful. Overall my husband and I were in and out of your facility as we prepared to move. Overall we had a very experience particularly on that rainy day!
