I showed up and my furniture and items in the storage unit had mold and mildew my sons golf bag was saturated with water and I couldn’t hardly drive to the unit to access
Alicia ZThe mileage on the contract was off by 1 mile less than what was on the truck Gas was listed as a 5/8 tank, and the truck had 1/2 in it I did not bother to correct the mileage but had to go back in through the rain to correct the fuel. The personnel were friendly and did not make changing the gas an issue.

SABAH AMake sure you have blankets, and don't make your customers have to contact corporate to make sure you have enough for your move. Also, the truck you leased to me was running poorly as if it had a spark plug or two fouled out from bad gas, or timing issues. I reported it to the drop off person.

Colten PI have never had a problem with this location before, however this time, they have become very greedy. They tried to double charge us for the use of truck, even though we brought it back gassed and cleaned. We were an hour late but we should have only been charged another days fees $39 but they tried to charge us for the miles twice and other things, so we will be looking into other companies for future use.
Thomas THitch install was fast, easy, and inexpensive. Having the option of a lifetime warranty on the hitch is amazing.

Mary ACharged us $56 dollars in mileage overage. We did not go over no 44 miles!!!!!! We initially stated roughly 20 miles we'd need it for. We needed it for moving things from a house to a storage unit that was exactly 5 miles away. And we made approximately 4 trips. And you stated we went over 44 miles?!?? Not possible. Maybe 5-10, but not no 44. You are a rip off. Word of advice, take pics of the odometers people. Don't get scammed and overcharged as I did. I'll borrow a horse and buggy before I use U-haul again.

Eric RSalesman was very rude provided a truck to me that barely had enough gas to reach a gas that was two light from the store. The truck was in poor condition and was falsely documented of my lease form online. The brake system barel break and the truck had difficulty shift gear while accelerating.

Robert KThe truck was practically brand new with less than 8k miles on it, but it smelled AWFUL. Someone had obviously smoked in it, which is such a shame. I hope you charge people for smoking in the vehicles, because it is really unpleasant for other renters. Other than that, it was well worth the money!
Tiffany BTrailer was in poor shape. At first after I got it home I noticed the axle was bent. After contacting customer service I was told to just continue on and even me rent another day. When I brought it back we closer examined tge trailer I'm thinking the hub was broken. So I'd have to say I think the Inspection was not well don't on uhauls behalf from the previous renters.
dustin s1. Give customer incentive for early returns 2. Reimburse customer insurance fee once the unit is in same condition as it was picked up 3. Allow customers to choose the amount of days they need the unit for and bill them accordingly
aidann bCheck in was a breeze! He was super polite and had us hooked up with the 5x9 open trailer so fast. I will definitely be using this location for my next trailer rental! Very happy with this experience!

It also would not safely raise the wheels, essentially causing me to have to stand on it while unsecured, with all 4 wheels touching the ground. This isn't a huge issue since I plan on using the unit for longer term, until I move homes, but it's pretty unsafe to use during my visit(s).

A simple phone call or text would be appreciated. I have used U-Haul a number of times and served the Beckley,WV area. Having been retired from military after 23 years, owned a radio station, and eventually retired as a high school principal; this was to me an unprofessional for a bill less than 30 days.

Destiny H | Premières impressionsCalled to cancel my unit with them, was assured the unit would be auctioned off and I would stop being charged for the unit one month after I cancelled it. This was not the case, I called for five months straight when I kept receiving invoices for the unit, was assured everytime I called (on a monitored and recorded line) that these statements were inaccurate and to ignore them as my unit bill would be cleared when the unit was auctioned off which was originally scheduled to be one month after I called and cancelled. However, just now almost 10 months later I am still receiving invoices for the unit. Horrible management and the employees and manager are clearly not on the same page when it comes to procedures.

ANISSA L | Expérience généraleI requested to keep my trucks an extra day since I rented 2 10' one way rentals. I wasn't sure if I was going to get them emptied in time to return them. I had both trucks in before 6pm. One rental was a 4pm and the other was 6pm. I had the first truck there before 3pm and the second by 5:30pm. The facility still charged me 56,8 for next day return. I thought that was pretty crappy since I was able to return both rentals on day I was supposed to at time before they needed to be returned.

Okey K | Premières impressionsEveryone was friendly and very helpful, only had 1 issue and that was the locking of my unit, the metal slider was difficult to close, bent slightly so wouldnt glide easily into place, the employee was helpful and assisted me to close it, he had to use a hammer, hopefully i will NOT have to when i go in to access it myself.. that was my only issue. Other than that it was a pleasant experience..

After that, the store scrambled to restore power but was unable to restore the remote gate operation. We had to bother employees to gain access to our RV. They were terrific when we needed to get in. My issue is with Uhaul corporate for not repairing the problem and then not discounting my fee. The contacted price included remote 24 hour access. Uhaul breached their contract. The Beckley store was awesome, scrambling to make the diminished facility operational. Uhaul corporate failed, miserably.

mary a | Expérience généraleThe storage unit and building (climate controlled units) were VERY clean. Stored my items for one year until I moved out of state. I used auto-draft for my monthly payments and didn't have any issues with billing/payments. I only spoke to the office staff twice, to secure the unit and to "leave" the unit. Both times, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the climate controlled units at the Ragland Road facility.

Those hours of operation are not beneficial to anyone except maybe the employees that work there. Also the employees there especially the hateful old man at the front are not friendly or very useful. Didn't even let me know that I didn't have to buy a lock until I came back to they then told me that they forgot to give a lock...Employees seemed pretty lazy!! Thats All!! Thank u

Upon arrival, they had no record of my reservation and did not have the unit size available. I did get some units together that suited my needs, just was concerning with moving across the country with truck on its way. The staff was courteous and helpful, I rented a truck a couple times as well as having the units and they were great with that as well. All in all, after a bit of a rough start, it was a great experience.

I had a truck coming from out of state the next day. Fortunately they had three units that i could reserve since there were no large units available.
