Your staff needs to be trained how to explain billing charges. They need to be trained on how the to advise customers what potential billing charges can look like to avoid frustration and unexpected charges.

This location, in my opinion stands out far from the rest. Its well organized, clean and lots of inventory ready to go. I actually drove 20km out of my way to use this one.
Andrew GI was wrongly accused of causing damage on the truck. I was told I was supposed to check every fucking square inch of the truck before using it. That your fucking job to check the truck before it is used b a customer.

devin hI booked my truck at 9:00 am. I arrived at approximately 9:30 am and the truck was not parked out front ready for me to take it. Instead it was parked in the very back corner of the property which was also blocked in at the time by an 18 wheeler Uhaul unloading. When I checked the back to see if my rentals were prepared (I rented 24 furniture mats, one furniture cart and one dolly) I discovered a completely empty truck. I had to go back and have the associate find me everything I needed, only to have to walk it all back to the truck myself. In previous rentals it's been a quick 10 minute stop which is what I was expecting, but this took 30 minutes and made me late for where I was supposed to be. The associate helping me was friendly but frankly didn't seem very competent. I would like to request a refund on my rental equipment, and 50 % off the final price of my overall rental.

Ahmed SDon't lie to your customers. I had opted out of many things (like blankets, insurance, dolly) and my partner went to pick up the van with his dad and was told "it was already included". We had a couch and two chairs to move that was light, fabric furniture. We had absolutely no use for those extra items and the insurance was covered by my provider. I called back about this and was offered no real solution. Feel like we've been scammed, not sure if this practice is standard Uhaul policy.
Natasha KYou can start by letting people know that if they are using the self service to pick up a truck before opening time that they won't be able to access the keys if it is cold outside & to bring something to beat the ice off the box to access the keys. Also, on the return of the truck, there were problems through the system so you end up calling the help line & having no choice but to go to the desk inside so overall a really bad experience & should warrant some type of compensation or discount.

Won't be recommending this site as I've never had a bad experience with any other U-Haul. Also didn't offer me the free month of storage in store when I was there getting moved and picking out a storage unit, but informed me later if it when the offer wasn't applicable anymore. All in all worst U-Haul experience I've had.

Tim BAlthough the staff and management were helpful and kind during the day to day operations, the policies and procedures leave something to be desired. Renting the storage unit was made into a complicated situation that has us renting a larger unit that we reserved in the first place (bait and switch). Then our unit was closed out on us without our authorization after we paid the month in advance. It seems to be a sneaky way to make a buck at the expense of the customer, while the staff just say "nothing we can do here about it". Shady business practices in my opinion.

Jodi BWell the truck was clean and the customer service was excellent everyone was helpful and polite. When I left with the truck I could smell marijauna coming from the vents which was not pleasant. It did eventually go away for the most part just something I would like to mention. Also when I rent it said truck had full tank of gas it did not. I was told I would get a credit and to bring it back with a 1/4 tank of gas. I still have not received the difference back from what I was charged to what I owed that is a bit frustrating and no information of when I will get

Too time consuming to have to do it twice and manually. Other communication issues are: - the amount of notice required to terminate - the fact that you have to check out each time you leave or you will be locked out next time you try to go in.

Michael RHad the rental until 9am. Called to have extended in the morning, was told I had it until 3:30pm. Then at 12:30pm I started getting calls saying it was late. Called in to main U-Haul line, where a kind lady told me someone must not have done their job properly because I was listed to have it back at 12pm and not to worry, to just get it back as soon as I could. Then the location I rented from charged $50 late fee and refused to call corporate, accused me of not calling saying there were no notes on file etc. Very frustrating experience and staff treated us VERY poorly, cut me off while I was trying to explain and were not at all professional.

The staff allow other people to park on thatched lines which limit access to the only door. People should be made to move. I was so frustrated that I quit my lease and will use another company. If the staff watched via camera they could tell when someone is parked there illegally. One single garage door is not enough for a building that size. I can't wait 3 hours for someone to move. Love the unit but it soured my whole experience

When we arrived, we were told that size was not available and had no choice but to take the next bigger size. We were not offered this at the same price as the one we reserved, instead, we were offered one month free. However, we were already entitled to one month free because we also rented a van. We feel like we were pushed into a larger unit on purpose. If the unit we reserved was not available, the management had plenty of time to call and inform us ahead of time so that we could have made an informed decision.

So reserving a unit was useless. I will admit the manager did an excellent job and offered me a slightly bigger unit at a discount to correct the situation. Unfortunately about 2 months later the discount was removed saying it was because the unit price had been increased by the company. The 2 more times in my year with you the price for my unit increased. So in the first year my monthly payment went from $120 to over $200. This is why I choose to remove my stuff from storage and go somewhere else. I do not blame the manager or team at this location, but I was not at all satisfied on how this ended.

I contacted the Bluewater Road location and spoke with Nancy, she was amazing and understanding and gave me a refund right away! Great customer service!!!!

You are not allowed to block the door & we had to move our uhaul truck several times for people in the parking spaces behind the truck, to get out. There should be a laneway around the back of the building. Also, you cannot hold the elevator open & you're not allowed to leave the bay door open unattended, so for 2 people moving, it's not easy. I would not use this location again, going up & down to the second floor was not convenient at all.

One area of concern was when we came on-site to get some items out of our storage unit and stopped by the office before we went to our unit. We were advised that there was a note on our file that we had locked our door improperly and you could actually open the door a couple feet. This was discovered by staff while making their rounds. Nothing was taken from our unit but why wouldn't we have been advised by a phone call or email that there was an issue with how our unit was locked. This would have been the proper way to handle this discovery. this is why you only received an average rating.

shawn s | Premières impressionsThe facilities are nice and the staff were nice and tried to be helpful. My issue is with the reservation system. I booked a 5x8 unit over a month before I needed it. When we got there after driving from out of province we started to unload. We brought some of our stuff to the third floor to find a lock on the unit assigned to myself. There was a miscommunication and this unit wasn't actually free. There were no units of the same dimensions available. I was offered a smaller unit (not big enough), a unit with different dimensions (which wouldn't work because of my furniture sizes) or a bigger unit for roughly $45 extra a month. Not knowing how long I need my stuff in storage for, but knowing it's at least a few months this could add up to be quite costly for someone trying to start life over. I was disappointed when the resolution for something completely out of my control would be to spend more money. I was explained this is all of Uhauls reservation policy, which I still don't quite understand. The ladies working were professional and tried to be helpful but overall was still a frustrating experience. If needing to book a unit again in the future or needing to reccomend a spot to someone I would first suggest looking elsewhere to a place that has a better reservation system. I was offered a discount but depending on how long I will require my stuff to be stored I will still be spending more money then initially budgeted for something I wasn't aware could happen.

However, when we got there, was told our units were not available and we weren't even in the reservation system. We were offered a shoe closet as a constellation to move our entire home into. The manager had a very "oh well" attitude, and told us units were given on a first come first served basis. She said if someone came in for a unit, they got it, regardless if you had a reservation or not. What's the point of taking reservations? Imagine if you had come a distance with all your belonging and furniture and were told your storage was given away? Don't bother with this place unless you want to roll the dice on having a space to store your belongings! The only positive reviews this place has ever gotten was when it was privately owned!!!

If you hold the door open after it starts to beep you can be held responsible for maintenance charges to fix the elevator. So just be aware of that. It's a secure, heated, clean facility. I would use the Bluewater Rd location again if needed.

Darryl R | Expérience généraleI was impressed the first month was free because we rented a trailer prior. The staff were helpful and answered all of my questions. Hours are good although I don't think there should be an extra charge for 24/hr access as uhaul is a large company and it's not running at extra cost. The moving carts are very convenient. One thing I did not expect was the area inside to put items we no longer want. This is an amazing idea. We actually found an exersaucer in good condition which was perfect because we weren't able to bring ours in our move. Our access code to get into the building didn't work and my husband accidentally pressed someone else's code when double checking the numbers, and we were allowed into the building with this error. I do think this should be looked at for security purposes because anyone can go to the keypad and type in any 4 numbers... if they happen to be someone's pin the door will unlock so there's almost no point to having it locked.
