john NevittU-Haul Moving & Storage of Cape Coral and North Fort Myers was very nice to work with, thank you. I sent a friend there already for a trailer hitch and trailer rental. The 4 x 8 trailer looked pretty shabby but performed well on the 1300 mile trip. It had one new looking tire and one worn down to the wear bars in the center. All in all, was a nice experience.

Kevin DoyleThere was no return instructions given to me upon renting the 5x9 trailer that I rented. So when I returned the trailer after hours I just left it where I found it and was charged a fee. I have since disputed it since I was given no instruction on the return and have yet to hear back.
Mark Van SciverTrailer needs greased and lube it was very slow raising and lowering. Also workers that day renting along with returning were rude. I had my truck breakdown and was late returning they still charged me for another day! I believe I should've got my monies worth with a nice understanding along with getting treated like trash!

Anna WhiteThere's no way possible you can do better than what you were doing. Unbelievable operation. From the girls at the front counter to the young man who installed my hitch everyone was excellent. I could not believe how the girls checked air pressure on the tires cleaned out all the trucks filled the washer fluid. Best operation I've ever seen for U-Haul. And I have a lot of history with you all. My grandparents own the company in Akron Ohio called Steiner body before U-Haul they built trailers for a company called cargo U-Haul hit the market and bought cargo out and they built U-Hauls for years. So I'm going back 60 years ago. I don't know if you give out Awards to stores or buy them lunch or whatever occasionally but you should do something for this group of people. Absolutely the best
Larry LloydI think its insane how convenient Uhaul and their staff have changed the truck rental experience. I returned my truck after hours with no hiccups. Any time I needed to speak to someone, I was able to get someone on the phone. Even after store was closed. From the time I picked up my truck until the time I returned I had someone on hand to help whenever I needed it. I also left an important folder in the truck and the staff was nice enough to mail it to my new apartment. I could not be happier with the service. Thank you so much for all of your help. Your staff is amazing!

Victoria CarpenterHave more staff on hand so there is not just 1 person working inside for check in process and the line of 5 people and 30 min wait in line. Then after I checked in for a trailer there was no one outside to help me find where the trailer where or which one I was suppose to take. Finally realized customer cars where blocking where the trailer where. I had to find the owners of the cars to get them to move then i loaded the trailer myself. Complete Chaos! Then returning after hours It took forever because the only way you can check in is downloading the stupid app and creating a profile and setting up your account. Way to complicated and fustrating. I just wanted an easy stress free exssperience and that's far from what I got.
DEVIN SCHELMI would like a $50 refund for my travel due to the fact the truck I had rented was not returned and I had to drive extra mileage to pick up/drop off the truck that I would not have had to pay if the truck I originally rented had been available.

George TruffinI put 12 miles on the truck I rented o 3-13-2024. Paperwork says full tank when I picked it up. Gauge needle is close to full. Took $18 to top it off. Then needle was buried on full. Thinking your full and what you expect full return , are two different things. Won't break the bank but may not be the best business practice.

john montgomeryGot charged extra upon returning rental…not what I agreed to on the pickup side. I signed a contract for a set dollar amount, and then I got charged more at the drop off location. U-Haul calculated the rental amount (mileage, etc.), not me. Besides turning in the rental a couple of days early, I was told I would receive a $40 refund if I returned the rental to the North Ft. Myers drop off location… that didn't happen either. I'm not happy.

I've had a few experiences that were less than desirable. But they are all right. My van was awesome. Smooth and steady, comfortable. Top notch. Wish I could afford to drive it every day.

kim drakeThere is a lot of construction along US-41 that made it a bit difficult to get into the site. It's not there fault, and it should be cleared up pretty soon. They also have a LOT of inventory and very little parking spaces. The agent who checked us in (Craig) was excellent.

So I had to physically drive to the store, fortunately not that far, for me to arrange to have my box picked up. On another note, your application is useless, so I don't understand why you're constantly pushing people to down load it. Fortunately for me I've deleted your stupid application off of my phone.

The smell at the entrance, the elevator making loud knocking noise, the temperature being above the climate control setting in the summer and the congestion of vehicles and rental equipment are other reasons for our departure. Bit we always felt our belongings to be secure and enjoyed the close proximity to our home. Merci.

kevin donnelly | Premières impressionsI've had my storage unit for almost 2 years. I would visit the storage facility often. Because I had to move into a smalller house. I've never had a problem. As of last SUNDAY my storage unit had rats & mice in it. Baby mice were in shoe boxes and other belongings. I had to leave majority of my things due to I did not want to have rats at my house. The facility did nothing but told me to file an insurance claim. (Not to mention the bigger rats were chasing us out of the storage). Hopefully, I get some type of compensation. The insurance company wants me to provide receipts for things like my wedding dress, shoes, bouquets, clothes, wall unit and other items. Unfortunately, I do not have receipts. When the housing crisis came. The last thing I thought about was keeping up with receipts just incase I had damage in my storage unit. Needless to say. My son brought things home and I still ended up with a huge rat in my garage. Be careful and carefully go through your things before you take them from a storage unit. I had an inside air conditioned unit. If anyone wanted to know. I do believe someone brought the rats in because before last month. I did not have an issue with the storage unit. The facility is as always clean. The staff was always friendly. Before the rat/mice incident the facility would've been a 10/10.

I called two miles from the location, and because they were closing in 12 minutes, they told me not to come to the office, but to reserve the unit in the ap. I reserved what was shown as an available unit, but once it was processed, it stated that the unit was TBD (to be determined). I had to call (800) Go-U-haul. They transferred me to Larry, who had access to see what units were available. At that time, he reserved the unit and told me he was going to process the free month beginning on May 14, 2023, the move-in date. It had come to my attention that the email confirmation for the reservation that did not process was sent, it was sent in the name of the person who drove the truck for me. While speaking to him, I brought to his attention that the ap had switched the account from my name to my driver's name, Stephen Oberkirch. Larry could see that I reserved the truck, I paid for the truck, and it is my email address on the account. He told me at that time, that he would correct it. It never got corrected and my credit card was charged for the month beginning May 14th. The unit was not suitable for my needs, but this location did not have another that would suit my needs, so on June 11, 2023, I moved out. Once I emptied and cleaned the unit, I went into the office and spoke to the owner about the free month being charged to my credit card and wanted a refund. She advised me that I had to call customer service at (800) Go-U-Haul to get a refund because they had reserved the unit. She also did not correct the name on the account. When I called customer service on June 15, 2023, I was advised the refund had to be processed by the location. The customer service representative conferenced the calls. I was then advised by the location staff, Ashley, that the general manager has to do this, is not in, and will call me when that person returns on June 19, 2023. If the management at this location continues in its refusal to honor the free month (and I only used one of two that I was offered) and process the refund due me, I will have to dispute it with my credit card company.

This time I needed a climate controlled unit, your units are easy to get to and very helpful that you had dollies for me to use. The people at the facility were great! Excellent, polite, and helpful solving the issues, I commend them. One issue that needs to be corrected. If I make a reservation, it should be mine. 100 % aggravation to drive 20+ hours to find out your storage reservation is gone !!! Undetstandable If your worried about no shows. My suggestion would be to explain upfront that if no show acter 12 hours (road issues can cause delays) and no contact with customer, even on the 30 day free storage, a no show will cause their credit card to be charged. If a vehicle or trailer has been picked up, you have great odds that the person is going to show up at the facility to store their property, especially if they've also hired labor thru you. Make sure the storage unit they reserved is available and the size they reserved is available. A 5x5 cannot hold the contents of a 20' or 26' truck.

THANKS for the wonderful service and the two young ladies who walked me through everything - they were both so patient and helpful to me. When you are my age, this means a lot. Would not hesitate to use facilities again if need be.

She comes across as extremely lazy and creating a negative and hostile working environment. Re: storage. The one thing I needed most was to plug in a small chest freezer to preserve a few thousand dollars worth of meat. There was no power connection in the unit. One day I tried plugging it into the bathroom outlet and it was unplugged by a staff member. Adding ice, EVERY DAY did not work. I've lost a lot of my store.

Dan Thomson | Expérience généraleThere were no lights on the 2nd floor where my items were stored. I was not informed of this until I arrived in the building. Finding my unit in the dark was next to impossible and I went around wandering the floor, losing track of the people who came up after me in my party. I wandered alone in the dark for 20 minutes, it was basically a scene out of a horror movie, trying to echo locate the people helping me move. As a young women, I did not appreciate this experience. When speaking with the person on the intercom to ask if there was a light switch, or why the lights weren't working, the person who answered was rude and curt, and told us the lights were working in the rest of the building like that mattered considering my unit was on the floor that was without lights. Although we did find out that the lights were down due to a lightning strike, Not even the emergency lights were on. The person offered no help and basically said, deal with it. An offer to move the unit or bring up a flashlight would have made this a better experience. I have returned a week later, and the lights are still not fixed, there is only one small light placed per corridor with some having none at all. I am still having to use the flashlight on my phone to even see inside my unit, and it is still terrifyingly dark.

We were hoping to pay $144+ per month instead of $239+ per month but we are NOT moving storage units even if a 10 x 10 becomes available, it's too much work for senior citizens. On a positive note, everyone we dealt with at U-Haul throughout this process was very pleasant and our rental truck ran flawlessly. We appreciate the free upgrade to a larger truck as well as the first month free on the storage unit. Customer Service was great!

There was usually only 1 way in and same way out and pulling a trailer to get out really was bad. They either had signs saying do not enter for alternatives or they had the roadways block with boxes and trailers and vans. Makes it horrible to just drive up to the loading entrance for loading ad and unloading. You should provide clear drive paths at both ends of the storage facility allowing vehicles a clear ingress and egress possibilities.

She barely acknowledged me and said what can I do about them, they're broke , someone's coming Monday! as she obviously was more interested in her cigarette and didn't want to be bothered My question is why was It even rented to me without letting me of the problem. The issues are not with the location, had reserved 2 storage units one on the 1st floor and the other on 2nd floor. When I arrived was told there was no units available on the 1st floor. Only once I became insistent did the team go and find a unit. This is the 2nd occurrence when reservation was made with U-Haul and there was an issue. Generally the U-Haul website is slow to navigate.

Many times I was trying to leave & had to wait for large trucks to get out of the way. Also there are only 2 flatbed dollies & 2 mattress dollies? On weekends I had to wait many times to obtain a dolly since it was busy. Then, after sweeping the storage unit, could not find a trash can anywhere to dispose of the sweepings. Overall, not happy with your storage facility.

After and hour on line i was told the cannot take debit cards. Where were the signs? The notices? Let people be prepared. Dont surprise them with new information especially after waiting an hour on line.

I would have liked to kept my business with Uhaul considering how much money I've spent with them in the last month.

Customer service connected me to 'emergency - fire/police'. We played that several times - the 3rd time I requested to the rep staying on the line during transfer and it didn't! Connecting says 30-40min wait; 10mins after 7pm was the time. That was after reserving with Blake, not getting the online site to accept some info, then repeating almost everything again inside the N.FM location. Not a stellar beginning!

Although you have huge signs advertising $89 a month units, you don't actually have any for rent and there is a wait list so you won't have any to rent for the near future. When I rented, I had to take the bigger size for $249 a month (despite your bait and switch ads). The person who rented to me did not explain the card or how to swipe in and swipe out so I had no idea it would alarm if I entered my unit without swiping. While I was waiting, several units alarmed (according to the board) yet no one investigated and when I asked, they said it was common for people to accidentally alarm so they don't pay any attention. How is that secure? Somehow, I was charged an extra month for my unit and they couldn't tell me why and said there was no refund available. The aisles in the place are super overcrowded, making it dangerous to drive to the unit. Big boxes are perched precariously, looking like they will fall. The dumpsters were always overflowing, making the place look filthy and unsanitary. There is not enough help. I bought wardrobe boxes but they did not tell me I needed the pole and I had to make another trip back to get them. Overall, it was not a good experience and there is additional training needed for your people.

The poor staff... there was only two of them working and just completely overwhelmed with the amount of customers they have to wait on. They both did a great job and both very very very nice but they need help two people for this location is in no way working. I rented and moved out the same day because the whole place is so chaotic. Great staff but you might loose them if this is how they have to work everyday. I was amazed to see such a company that has been around this long to see it running a place the way this place was.

The only thing that we were unhappy about was that we didn't know that the storage unit was inside of a building, down 2 halls, and had no air condition. So, we were not prepared for the experience of trying to put everything into the unit. My husband almost had a heartattack. Also, They didn't really explain how much could fit in the unit and ours was way to small which made it more difficult. In the future, i think they shoulld take a person to the unit before checking in to make sure they think they got the right size for their needs.

Access to many of the units is through one small corridor that you have to drive into and one end was completely blocked off with storage pods so you can not leave without turning around three-point-turn style. If people are unloading, you are limited in your ability to do a turn-around and whatever you do DO NOT DRIVE A TOW-BEHIND trailer into the area unless you feel confident that you can back it up around cars and storage pods because there is no other way to get out.

I set the alarm off 5 times trying to figure out how to disarm. Which was highly frustrating especially when the alarm is a screeching noise. I had to run through the facility back and forth wondering why it kept ringing. And I still do not know how I turned of the alarm. I'm worried for the next time I go for it to happen again so I'm going during open hours but I believe there should be a staff worker round the clock to watch cameras and help.

The same time there were several semis trying to unload and tempers were flying from various customers. It is a beautiful facility, just needs more space - like the one we were at in Colorado Springs.

But I thank you for refunding our storage fee at U-haul corporate. Also, although we had a reservation number, the facility said they had no reservation. Had to beg for a spot. How can this be? You take a reservation , no problem. But you can't HOLD the reservation. Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode. But it wasn't funny for us.

The bad (which definitely outweighs the good): When reserving the U-haul truck, close to a month before going, we were told we could have a storage unit for 1 month free (other places offer this, but, because we got the truck @ U-haul, we decided to go with this one for the convenience & hoped that everything would be like we have had experience with other places we have rented storage with in past. So, we requested a 10 X 20 unit on first floor & told U-haul that we did not want or need a climate controlled unit. Was told did not have 10 X 20 available, but, U-haul would give us 2 10 X10 units beside each other. Really did not want that, but had to have, so took. When got there Oct. 12, 2020, the lady that checked us in (helped us, but, not really friendly), told us we were on third floor with climate control--again, did not want, but, had to have, so took because we were already there with a 26' U-haul truck, another truck full & car full, so had to take--too tired & probably too late to get storage unit somewhere else this late & today anywhere else!! Elevator was WAY TOO SLOW & being on third floor, around the corner, & half-way down hall, made the unpacking TERRIBLY slow--really unhappy about this, but, had to do it. Called U-haul (the 1-800 #) a day or two after all of this & explained situation to the representative, Mary, that we did not get what we wanted at all & felt like a lot of things were wrong & was put on hold while Mary "reached out" to a Manager. When Mary returned, we were told a Manager will get back with us. We are still waiting!!!!!!!...

After going through the reservation process a week earlier I had to do it again and the attendant had trouble typing and asked me the same questions over and over again. The computeR system seemed clumsy to use and attendant couldn't type very well. I was very frustrated from this circumstance. Then we were not given very good instructions on which card reader you use at the entrance to the facility. Ther are four card readers to use yet only one will work and there was nothing that helped you understand which one to use. It seems to me that the individual filling out the paperwork should take you to the storage room to make sure that all is workding correctly. The whole heck in process was laborious, time consuming and wrought with errors.
